Unable to change PR fields

Hi Experts,
I have one strange problem, we are runing classic scenario and PR is created in R/3 system for each shopping cart. I am unable to change item short text, UOM, price etc of these PR using ME52N in R/3 system .
But if i create manually PR in R/3 system for the same document type, i am able to change these fields using ME52N.
Please advise how i can change PR field values which are coming from EBP system.

Which R/3 version are you using ?
Alternatively, you try do the following.
Execute ME52N Transaction for any of the Purchase Requistion number.Try changing the Text, UOM, price, etc using ME52N Transaction. Are you getting any error/warning message there ? Either it can also due to Missing BASIS authorization as well. In the same session, type /nSU53 transaction in the command menu on top left corner of the SAP R/3 screen.
Incase there is any authorization object missing, it will display the details on that in that transaction. Ask you BASIS person, to provide authorization access, by giving him the screen shot details of SU53 transaction.
Seems to be a bug in your R/3 system, which might be solved with any OSS note. Have you raised any OSS message with SAP yet on this issue. ? If the above solution does not work , try raising the same as well.

Can I change a field that is displayed on a Purchase Order Message Output

I have read on a couple message threads that have stated that it is not recommended to change the length of a field on a purchase order. If I am unable to change a field length, can I instead use another field that is long enough to fit in the information and then substitute this field on the message (form) that is output for the purchase order? If so, how do I do this?
I am on SAP r/3 4.6c. I want to substitute field unsez - our reference for verkf - salesperson.

Unable to change the length of field in idoc segment

Dear all,
My requirement is to change the length of a field(Z field) in a segment (Z Segment). I tried the following but in vain
1)Tried to Cancel the release and then change the length of the domain. Unfortunately it is givin an error saying "Error while resetting release of segment ZC9DEMARA01".
I also tried cancelling hte release of extension and then cancelled the release of segment
2) Created a new version, but in new version the earlier fields are diabled. So I am unable to edit.
I have gone through some of the links available in SDN but I could not solve as I am unable to cancel the release in the first step.
[Idoc segment field length changes]

I Have created one Segment type with some fields, changed the field length also its working.
just try to cancel the release and change the length of the filed and do it set release again.

Unable to update a field using the Data tab on a VIEW

When viewing data using a VIEW instead of going to the table directly, am unable to change the values in any of the fields
When I click on the list of VIEWs for a schema, then select a view that is based on a SELECT statement for a single table with a Primary key, and then click on the DATA tab to modify the value in one of the fields, SQL Developer does not allow me to change the value.
Went into SQL Plus, and was able to execute an UPDATE statement against the same row of that VIEW, and update that field ("UPDATE vw_mytable SET thisfield = 'YES' WHEN row_id_number = 1'").
Does SQL Developer not allow updating tables through a VIEW?
Will it allow updating in the future? Please say yes.
Oracle 10g DB and latest version of SQL Developer.

Remember to add feature requests and vote on them on the SQL Developer Exchange!
 
We have added updateable views to 1.1, but do remember, not all views are updateable - even in SQL*Plus.

Unable to change the data in PSA

Hello All,
I have a delta failure because of invalid characters in one of the field and now i wanted to change the PSA. I have deleted the request from all data targets and started changing the error record, it is not showing all columns from PSA hence i am unable to change the data in required field.
Could you please let me know how will i see all columns from PSA. Thanks

To increase/decrease the number of columns that are displayed on the menu from the Settings option select Change display variants
Also if you want to see say all the failed records you can sort the order of the data using the Status column

Unable to change "Your name" in BIS

I have my Gmail account set up in BIS and everything is working perfectly, however, I am unable to change the "Your name:" field to anything other than what's already there. I've tried deleting the account and re-adding it in there from the web site as well as from my BB to no avail. When I change the field, I don't get an error and I receive a message saying "Email account successfully updated." but it doesn't stay. For some reason, just my last name is in there (i.e. Smith) but I would like to change the "Your name:" field to my full name: John Smith.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? TIA!

What did your mobile operator have to say about it? This seems to be a problem specific to them. They can disable most of the fields your BIS account.

Unable to change Date Created in Metadata

Please help with my first post...
Unable to change Date Created field in Metadata.
I am a newspaper photographer sending .jpg pics with captions to my office from my iMac. They are viewed at the office on Windows PCs using SCC MediaGrid.
When changing Date Created in Metadata Invalid Format warning appears "Format should be ISO 8601 XML compliant, that is YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm[:ss][tz] (eg 2006-07-11T13:14:30-07:00)"
If 2009-09-26, for example, is entered then exported pictures opened up in Photoshop or shown on SCC MediaGrid do not display the date.
To get dates to show up I first have to open a pic in Photoshop, go to File Info, enter 26/9/09 in Date Created and Save As.
Next I have to Import this into Aperture where the Date Created shows as "20090926".
Using Lift Metadata and Stamp Metadata the date can be transferred to other pics.
Now when I export these pics the date does show up in Photoshop and SCC MediaGrid.
Can Date Created be typed straight into field in Aperture?...Very important when pics go into archive on a server.
Also if I hit Return key in a Metadata Caption, to type on the next line, both lines will appear as one with a small square in-between them when viewed on SCC MediaGrid on a Windows PC.

Nick I don't generallt use the IPTC metadata, so I'm not sure I will be too much help.
What version of Aperture are you using? I tried both things and I didn't have any problems with the latest version of Aperture on my Mac.
I was able to enter a date into "Date Created" both with and without the time-zone adjustment. Can you tell us the exact string you tried to enter into the "Date Created" and exactly when you get the error? I tried to enter my time zone (eastern US) as "-5:00", but Aperture wouldn't let me enter the 5 and popped up the error message when I typed that key. I had to use "-05:00".
As for the caption, when I hit return, Aperture ends my edit. I cannot reproduce your described behavior of actually getting a new-line into the field. I suspect your problem (although I don't know how you get to your problem) is one of the following:
1) The IPTC standard doesn't tell if the software should use a Unix-style end-of-line (which is a line-feed), or a DOS/Windows style end-of-line (which is carriage-return followed by line-feed). Aperture may put in the Unix-style and your Windows programs don't know what to do with it.
2) The IPTC standard does indicate the end-of-line style, but either Aperture or your other programs don't follow it.
or
3) IPTC Metadata doesn't actually support end-of-line, so Aperture should not allow you to enter multiple lines, but it has a bug so it does allow you to do that.
Can you tell us where exactly you are editing the caption? I tried it in the inspector pane (on the left) in the "Metadata" tab, and then I hit the "IPTC" button at the bottom of the tab.

WRT610N - Unable to change "Server Name" - No Text box.

I have my WRT610N running V2 firmware. In all of the documentation I see, on the Admin area within the Storage Tab, there is a text box next to the Server Name and you are able to update that field to change the Server Name. However, I have no textbox here, and thus am unable to change the Server Name. I've attempted factory defaults, firmware upgrades, and multiple reboots to attempt to solve the issue. Any help out there?

Whats the Firmware version is installed on your Router and whats the Version number of your Router? If it's an Version 2 Router, then it doesn't have an option to change the Server Name. As far as i know the Version 1 Router has an option to change the Server Name.
If its an Version 1 Router and if you have updated the firmware, with the latest firmware you don't have an option to change the Server Name, By Default its WRT610N.

In CJ20N, unable to change the "Person Responsible"

Hi,
In cj20n, When I create a new WBS under a project, the system defaults the Person responsible from the Project level.
The field is display only and I am unable to change it. There is no substitution active in the project profile.
Could anyone help me to change the config so that the user can maintain the "Person Responsible" at the WBS level for the existing projects & the newly created projects.

Unable to view enhanced field in Data Source

Hi All,
We recently upgraded our R/3 system from 4.7 to ECC 6.0. Now when we are enhancing the data source, the field is visible in the Extract Structure. But we are unable to view it in the data source. We checked out in RSA2 the enhanced field attribute is specified as 'Field in OLTP and BW Hidden by SAP'. We have written code to modifiy the ROOSFIELD table to make the enahnced field visible. But this is the problem with all the data sources. Whenever, we have to enahnce, we have to go thru this process to make the enhanced field visible.
Is it like that we missied out any patch in ECC 6.0 while upgrade? If any person faced similar situation, please help us.

Hi Ravi,
I think you are missing a step here. As soon as you enhance your datasource with new fields, by default, those 2 check boxes are checked ( Hidden and Field in User exit only). You go to RSA6, edit your datasource and here, you can uncheck these added fields so that you can use them. You do not need to write any code to change the fields settings in ROOSFIELD table. Do the step I mentioned above after enhancing and you should be good. Hope it helps.

Unable to change Purchase Order

Hi Friends,
We are working with SRM5.0 on extended classic scenario.....
I have one Purchase Order & it is in order status, Now unable change PO & If i click on change, i am getting the following error message
"Action Not possible because change version exist"
Can you please tell me how to proceed after this....OR Is there any report to make change this PO???

Another way that accomplishes the same result is the following method.
1. Run BBP_PD and copy the GUID for the parent object as explained in the previous message.
2. Run SE37 and enter function module name BBP_PDHGP_DB_DIRECT_UPDATE
3. Paste the GUID from step 1 into the GUID and enter N into the Change Lock field
4. F8 to run the function module, not a lot appears to happen except you get a run time back.
This should clear the flag and make the PO available for change.
I guess both methods work but using a function module is probably a little safer?

Unable to change document

Hi all
we have posted vender invoice and we created vender as custmer for this we entered customer no in vender master record vice versa.
when i am going to do mass change in fbl1n system is showing error like "Unable to change every document "
Let me know the cause for this error and kingly give the suggestion.

Please, consider that if you use the 'mass change' functionality,
transaction FBL1N calls the transaction FB02 with every line
you have set, to change the documents.
This is done with the statement CALL TRANSACTION.
Probably the FM is called by an OPENFI/BTE in the
FB02. Please check by debugging.
Or I'd suggest to try to change each single document by FB02 in order to find out which is the document that creates the problem. Probably the field You're trying to change is suppressed into this document.
Please review as well the note 640908 in order to see if all has been executed
correctly in case of new field added. I hope this helps.

First some tests, try to change the value with transacions FB02 or FB09, if you cannot that may come from the Field Status Group associated with the account and posting keys.
- FS03 to find Field Status Group of the account
- SPRO then Financial Accounting, General Ledger Accounting, Business Transactions, Carry Out and Check Document Settings, Maintain Field Status Variants to find Field Status Group definition (or SM34 on view cluster V_T004V)

Change of field label for a database field attribute

Dear ALL,
I tried to change the label field of a datbase attribute For example the field from the database is Customerid but i need to display the field name in the view object as Customer ID, but i am unable to change it in the xml file. I tried with the Details tab of the Attributes for the EO view xml file but still when the form is ran, the name of the label is still Customerid.

Unable to Change the password - Oracle Application Users Form

Hi All,
In our PROD instance , I could see that many users are unable to login to system and we are unable to re set the password for these users. In Users for the password filed is grayed out for these customers.
Also I could observe that in fnd_user table ENCRYPTED_USER_PASSWORD = EXTERNAL for these users..
Could you please tell me , what could be the reason for this ?
And how can i Fix this ?
