Unable to connect multiple MAF components in a WPF host application

I'm trying to connect my MAF component parts for the addin extensibility to work, however I'm getting certain errors while trying to build my add in store.
string path = @"...\MyProject\Extensibility\Output";
string[] errorList = AddInStore.Rebuild(path);
that's the pipeline path, which looks like according to documentation:
Extensibility\
Output\
AddIns
AddInSideAdapters
AddInViews
Contracts
HostSideAdapters
My WPF host app DLL file is located under this directory:
MyProject\WPFApp\bin\debug
So, I'm unsure where to build my HostView. Currently the output is the pipeline root directory (Extensibility\Output)
I have 4 errors in my errorList:
While examining an assembly for pipeline segments, got a ReflectionTypeLoadException: Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information. File Name: ...MyProject\Extensibility\Output\AddInSideAdapters\AddInSideAdapters.dll
2:
Could not connect up a part in a pipeline to its neighbors: Contract Name: "IAddInContract" Location: "Contracts\Contracts.dll".
3:
Could not connect up a part in a pipeline to its neighbors: AddInBase Name: "AddInView" Location: "AddInViews\AddInViews.dll".
4:
Could not connect 2 valid add-in model parts.
And the code of addin side adapter, contact and addin view respectively:
[AddInAdapter]
public class AddInSideAdapter : ContractBase, IAddInContract
private AddInView view;
public AddInSideAdapter(AddInView view)
this.view = view;
public void Initialize(IPluginHandler handler)
view.Initialize(handler);
public INativeHandleContract GetCustomUI()
return FrameworkElementAdapters.ViewToContractAdapter(view.GetCustomUI());
[AddInContract]
public interface IAddInContract: IContract
void Initialize(IPluginHandler handler);
INativeHandleContract GetCustomUI();
[AddInBase]
public abstract class AddInView
public abstract void Initialize(IPluginHandler handler);
public abstract FrameworkElement GetCustomUI();
They're output directories are ok, all building into the corresponding pipeline segments. I really cannot understand what's failing. Pipeline structure is ok, build paths of segments are ok (just not sure about the HostView and the host app). The path variable
is ok, i just omitted the entire path for brevity

Hi Mefhisto,
>>”So, I'm unsure where to build my
HostView. Currently the output is the pipeline root directory”
I found some information about your problem in “Pipeline Development Requirements”,It said “The host application and the host view are typically deployed
in the same directory. The pipeline directory can be in any location but is typically in the same directory as the host application.”This is the link of the document :
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb384240(v=vs.90).aspx. And there are several samples,you can refer to it for reference.

  • ERROR: Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts.

    Hi all,
    I have run into an issue and not able to resolve it.
    There was a requirement to connecting to a MySQL data source. For that I unknowingly added an entry in the "ODBC Data Source Administrator" ->
    User DSN & System DSN
    I was totally unaware that I am breaking my SP setup (Development). Now Central Admin site and all other sites have stopped working.
    I tried repairing by re-running the config wizard but no use. Error I get is "An unexpected error has occurred." OR "Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts."
    But when I try accessing other site, its showing an error from the "machine.config" file: >
    Line 284: <siteMap>
    Line 285: <providers>
    Line 286: <add name="MySqlSiteMapProvider" type="MySql.Web.SiteMap.MySqlSiteMapProvider, MySql.Web, Version=6.9.6.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c5687fc88969c44d" connectionStringName="LocalMySqlServer" applicationName="/" />

    Line 288: </siteMap>
    Source File: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Config\machine.config
    For record, I have already removed those entries from that User DSN & System DSN.
    Still error persists.
    If some has ANY IDEA how to resolve it... please help!

  • Unable to connect multiple chats over AOL server

    Hello--
    I use iChat within my company to videoconference at 3-4 sites, including sharing Keynote presentations. It has heretofore worked flawlessly (as recently as a month ago), with each site having its own AIM name.
    Now I am not able to connect with multiple sites at the same time. I initiate a videochat with one site, then when it's time to invite the second site, I get the error message (approximately) "This video chat is being hosted by AIM relay server."
    No settings have been changed on any of the computers, either host or inviteees, the "Allow AOL's servers to relay video chats" box is checked on all computers in the Preferences>Security tab.
    Can anyone lead me in the right direction? Has AOL changed the way they relay multiple site video chats?
    Thank you in advance for any guidance.

    Hi,
    I am not aware that AIM have changed anything.
    The Allow AIM to Relay is a recent addition to iChat.
    I must admit I would have not used it for Multi-way Video Chats as I would not be sure the AIM servers would be able to keep up.
    One issues is that AIM (on a PC) does not do 3 and 4 way chats so I don't know that the servers would allow it.
    The second is the amount of Data being sent in a multi-way chat which may exceed what the servers can do.
    It may be that AIM have put a cap on this as more people take it up.
    I have also not come to a conclusion about what the Setting achieves.
    It would seem likely that it provides a method of getting around either port Issues or NAT issues but I have yet to find any clear evidence.
    I presume that you have found that using this setting does in fact make it work for you ? (Or Did)

  • Unable to connect Discoverer server: null Please contact your Administrator

    Hi All,
    Please advice, when I open the discoverer(10g) in the web version(IE8,firefox3.5.5) I got the error like below
    "Unable to connect Discoverer server: null Please contact your Oracle Application Server Administrator"
    I have clear the temporary cache and cookies in the JAVA and also in the browsers but still am having this error.
    Please advice.
    Thanks,
    Kamal

    If you always get this error, then I don't know the answer. However, I see this message if I try to open a second Discoverer Plus session from the same browser session (either the same connection dialog, or on another tab of the same session). You can have multiple sessions of Discoverer , but they must be opened from completely separate browser sessions, or different browsers.

  • Intermittent REP501: Unable to Connect to Database Errors

    Hi,
    This problem is occuring on a Oracle Application Server 10g (9.0.4.2) configured to run Forms and Reports.
    Operating system is Windows 2003 Server.
    Reports are called from Forms using the RUN_REPORT_OBJECT.
    Any user at any time running any report may receive a REP501: Unable to connect database error. Usually closing the Forms application and re-starting it clears the error.
    Reports trace indicates the database has returned either an "invalid username/password" or "account locked" error. This cannot be true because our Forms app logs each individual user into their own database account. The Reports server logs in to the database as the user when it makes its connection.
    This error clears itself without restarting the Reports server.
    We have also seen information in the Reports trace that indicates a possible crash of the VisiBroker osagent.
    The Windows event viewer does not show any errors or warnings.
    Is it possible a crashed osagent could cause the Reports server to return the invalid username/pasword and account locked errors?
    Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this further?
    TIA,
    Jim

    iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4199
    Additional things to try.
    Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    Change the channel on your wireless router. Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

  • EthernetIP, Unable to connect to the network path specified, Multiple NICs

    I have not been able to find an answer concerning this error, so I am hoping someone can help.
    Computer has LabVIEW 2013 with the NI-Industrial Communications for EtherNet/IP 1.2.1 addon with Win XP although I have verified the same setup with Win 7 x32 with the same results. I am using the EthernetIP CIP Get Attribute Single.vi and the corresponding "Set" vi.
    I am using a pc with five network cards, one for the corporate network (dhcp) and four that are connected to four Rockwell PowerFlex 700S AC variable drives via CAT6 crossover cables. Each 700S drive controls a motor in an engine dyno teststand. The 700S drives have the latest available firmware installed. The four NIC/700S pairs have hard coded IP addresses with the appropriate subnet masks for proper routing. I can use the Windows "ping" command without errors. The program uses a QSM-PC architecture which I have four separate qsm loops  that "talk" to the each drive, those loops constantly request three parameters from the drive, a boolean drive status array, the rpm , and the torque every 250ms using the CIP "Get" vi. That data is then sent to the main front panel via shared variables. When the operator wants to say change the rpm, a write command is inserted into the queue, and the CIP "Set" vi is used.
    My problem is when I start the program, it is hit or miss on whether these loops will begin to loop through their states. If they start, the program is rock solid. When one of the loops does not start, which is most of the time, the error returned is the "-251723767 Unable to connect to the network path specified". See the attached pictures. So if I disable three of the four loops, the error never shows up. Adding another loop or more will cause the error. Slowing down the request rate does not fix the issue and it is not always the same loop that will throw the error. Each qsm loop has its own session name and its own action engine with the only common thing amongst the action engines would be the "Get" and "Set" EthernetIP VIs.
    No more ideas.....Kevin

    250 ms is a pretty slow update rate for CIP so Why use a nic for each drive? Use 1 drive nic in your PC and use a network switch to connect with your drives. If You have more then 1 nic you need to specify the nic to use for each loop for each drive IP address so the drive and the loops are using the correct IP settings. You should be able to use as low as 30 ms updates with no problems.

  • Unable to connect video/audio chat. They are 'declining'

    Just this week I am unable to connect to anyone over video or audio chat. An error keeps coming up on both ends that the user is declining the invitation moments after it states it is 'connecting'. I have tried changing the connection ports to 80 and 443. I have tried with multiple buddies and even tried the 'dummy' buddies to test an video connection and get the same error. I am using a Linksys router and have no set up any port forwarding as I have never had to in the past. All other applications run fine (google talk video chat, xbox live, skype, etc) without their ports being forwarded. This has only been happening recently. Hi,
    Error 7 is when a router or the connection to the router is broken in some way.
    Some devices have features such as Denial Of Service protection (DoS) that cut a particular Internet Port when it thinks too much data is coming (Presuming it is an attack.)
    iChat 5 in Leopard is not capped by the System Preferences > Quicktime Streaming speed (which we used to suggest was set at 1.5Mbps)
    It now sees your whole Connection speed and your Upload may be much faster than this.
    Your Download is likely to be much faster. However iChat will tend to operate at the lower figure of your Upload.
    DoS features are threshold based.
    You may now be bumping in to this Threshold where you were not before.
    SPI (Stateful packet Inspection) does a different job but has the same effect when it is overloaded by the speed of the data.
    If you have either of these features, turn them Off (Disable them)

  • [Solved] Samba log spam: Unable to connect to CUPS server

    Hi everyone,
    I'm running into an annoying issue with samba. I don't have any printers installed, and probably won't. However smbd complains to no end in /var/log/errors.log about not being able to connect to a cups server:

    Those last two lines get spammed constantly.
    I've done a little bit of research into the matter, and followed the steps here to try to resolve the problem: http://www.davekb.com/browse_computer_t … server:txt
    Unfortunately it doesn't appear to make any difference.
    Here is my /etc/samba/smb.conf:
    # This is the main Samba configuration file. You should read the
    # smb.conf(5) manual page in order to understand the options listed
    # here. Samba has a huge number of configurable options (perhaps too
    # many!) most of which are not shown in this example
    # For a step to step guide on installing, configuring and using samba,
    # read the Samba-HOWTO-Collection. This may be obtained from:
    # http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/Samba-HOWTO-Collection.pdf
    # Many working examples of smb.conf files can be found in the
    # Samba-Guide which is generated daily and can be downloaded from:
    # http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/Samba-Guide.pdf
    # Any line which starts with a ; (semi-colon) or a # (hash)
    # is a comment and is ignored. In this example we will use a #
    # for commentry and a ; for parts of the config file that you
    # may wish to enable
    # NOTE: Whenever you modify this file you should run the command "testparm"
    # to check that you have not made any basic syntactic errors.

    However, samba was complaining that

    was invalid. I removed that line and it works great.

  • Unable to connect to SharePoint list data from PowerPivot in Excel

    Hi,
    I have the PowerPivot excel add-in installed and I can connect successfully to SQL data.  I have two SharePoint farms - Farm 1 and Farm 2.
    I am able to connect PowerPivot to SharePoint lists in multiple web applications in Farm 1 by using the ListData.svc.
    e.g. https://farm1/_vti_bin/ListData.svc/Tasks
    In Farm 2 I am unable to connect to SharePoint data.  I have tried multiple web applications on Farm 2 and can't connect.  I receive the following error.  I am able to browse to the address in Internet Explorer and see a feed.
    Has anyone else had this error?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mark

    Hi Millard1,
    From your descripton, it seems you want to use SharePoint list as a data souce. If so, you should export the SharePoint as data feed in your SharePoint site, and then create a new PowerPivot table that contains the list. Here are some articles for your reference,
    please see:

  • Unable to connect via wireless, printer is online.

    I am using a Photosmart plus 209a via wireless.  There are 3 notebooks connected. 2 will print but my Dell Studio (Win 7 Pro) will not. It was previously connected but now unable to connect.  I have uninstalled all components using level 3 twice. Have used the Print/Scan tool.  Downloaded the full SW package and the Basic driver SW. I process a job and it gets to the spooler and then "print job failed".  I can view the control panel via IP address. I can view network settings and print wireless test page through HP Solution Center.  Why am I unable to connect?  I was able to use via USB but this is not an option.

    It sounds like there is something different on the Dell Studio since it works from two other computers on the same network as the Dell Studio.  It also sounds like you are able to access the EWS of the printer by using its IP address.
    Are there any other errors messages regarding the printer?  If so, what are they?
    Is there a third party firewall installed (e.g. Norton, Kasperksy, BitDefender, etc.)?
    Is this Windows 7 Professional 32bit or 64bit?

  • DirectNIC's customers outside of the U.S. are unable to connect to their email accounts using their blackberries

    I work for directNIC.com and our customers who are located in foreign countries are unable to send/receive email on their blackberry devices.  The problem started at the beginning of this month and we can not figure out what the problem is.  Our U.S. blackberry customers are not having any problems.  Our non-U.S. customers have reported errors such as needing to revalidate the account and when they tried to they received an invalid domain or invalid username/password message.  Some customers said the email just quit working and they received an unable to connect error message.  I've had one customer provide me with a link to their wireless provider's blackberry email account setup and I am unable to setup their email account there or any email account that uses any of our servers.  All of our customer's email accounts work in their email clients on their computers, their other phones, and through their webmail it is only their blackberries.  We've white listed all of blackberry's IP addresses and we've checked the server logs to see if there were any connection attempts when I tried to setup the email accounts through the customer's online blackberry interface and there wasn't even an attempt to connect to the server.  The error message that I receive is as follows:
    Email address domain not found:
    The email address domain 'insert domain name here' cannot be found. Please verify this
    information is correct. If the error persists contact 'insert domain name here' (your
    email provider)
    The problem isn't with just one wireless provider it's with multiple providers in multiple countries but the U.S. customers aren't reporting any problems.  I am able to setup my personal email account through his blackberry site, an email account from my work through his blackberry site, my yahoo.com email address, and my hotmail.com email address.  The only email accounts that do not work are the email accounts that are on any of our servers.   Some of these servers have different server configuration but all of them have all of blackberry's IP addresses whitelisted.  Our premium hostng email servers have the same software installed on them as my work email server does and my work email account works fine when I try to set it up through blackberry but none of the premium hosting email accounts that I tried to setup through this customers interface will work.  The problem is only with blackberry devices and is only with customers outside of the U.S.  If anyone has any thoughts or ideas please let us know.
    Thanks,
    Priscilla

  • Outlook 2010 and 2013 are unable to connect but OWA (and mail routing) works fine

    Hi-
    Not sure why but this past Sunday (just after DST adjustment) outlook clients (using 2010 and 2013) were unable to connect to an Exchange 2013 server.  OWA and mail routing (internal and external) is working fine.  I've even tried on multiple machines
    and all of them experience the same issue.  On a new machine with a fresh version of outlook 2013 installed here is what happens:
    Click on Outlook 2013
    Click Next until the account setup is displayed.
    Name and email is auto-populated
    Established network connection is good
    Searching for email address settings is good (once the self-signed exchange 2013 cert is accepted)
    And then the logging onto the mail server fails.  The first pop-up is:
    The Connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable.  Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.
    Clicking "OK" is followed up with a window with the Microsoft Exchange connection info.
    It lists Microsoft Exchange server which is populated with: GUID@<domain suffix>
    Mailbox which is populated with: =SMTP:<Valid Email address>
    On the Exchange Server I have noticed that the Web Management Service (WMSVC) is stopped and will not start.  Starting the service outputs:
    EventID 7024
    "The Web Management Service terminated with the following service-specific error:  Unspecified error"
    Not really helpful :)
    Since this is only happening with Outlook on multiple clients I'm expecting something with Exchange or the ability for outlook to connect to exchange.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi
    I know this is an old post, but I'm having a very similar issue. I have CU6 installed and all other client connectivity apart from internal Outlook connectivity is working fine. I have distributed the new Self-Signed Certificate and the tested to verify
    the clients trust it. I have tried on multiple machine with multiple accounts and none of them connect.
    I'm at the stage of reinstalling, but I would rather troubleshoot the problem, just in case ever hit the same wall in the future. I have run Test-OutlookConnectivity with the following output;
