Unable to connect to Android Device with MAC

Question

Hi I have been trying to connect to my device ( Samsung Galaxy S4) with Edge Inspector but it literaly does nothing except to stand still on "waiting for a connection" on Chrome, wait on the WIFI Name + Loading circle on my device, crashing (unfortunateely Edge inspect has stopped)  or waiting for a connection if add my machine's http://ipaddress/.
I have web sharing set up, I also tried using afp:// instead of http://. Still nothing.
What can I possibly be doing wrong?

Thanks for your swift replies Mark, apologies as things have been stupidly busy and I temporary uploaded my website as I was unable to view it with Edge Inspect. I think that the issue is not Edge Inspect but Magento. I do not know if you are familiar with the platform.
I have tried the following combinations:

Web sharing is all set up as pet MAC OSX ver 10.7.5 instructions. I tried turning the firewall off and on and no change.
I hope you have enought info.
