Unable to connect to CMS servername . A wrong connection is made

I am trying to enable my File Server on Crystal Enterprise XI R2.
I run the following command from a linux prompt.
./ccm.sh -enable input.reportingdb -cms reportingdb.cmd:6400 -username administrator -password password
I get the following error:
Creating session manager...
Logging onto CMS...
err: Error: Couldn't logon to CMS
err: Error description: Unable to connect to CMS reportingdb.interactivesys.com. A wrong connection
is made to @@REPORTINGDB.INTERACTIVESYS.COM(REPORTINGDB.INTERACTIVESYS.COM). Logon cannot continue
CMS is running - I can login through the URL.

Hi,
does the CMS run on the same machine you issue the command on? If this is true just try:
./ccm.sh -enable input.reportingdb -cms localhost:6400 -username administrator -password password

My bad.....missed his post. I updated and I am getting further now.
Problem now is that integrated security doesn't seem to work. I can login if I hardcode the username and password, but if I leave the username and password blank I get the following error on the Logon call:

Unable to connect to CMS :6400

Hi Everyone,
I just finished installing CR Server 2008. I've been looking though posts and user guides and can't seem to find an explanation of what I am missing. I have everything installed. I had it create a new SQL database with a user name and password but I am unable to log on to the Business View Manager. I can get to Central Management Server, Central Configuation Manager seems to be running fine and when I run the the BO XI 3.0 Deployment Diagnostic Tool everything passes except the "Crystal Reports Tier". Can someone point me a direction to address these things. This is my first experience with anything beyond Crystal Reports or Xcelsius.
The complete error message I get is below;
Unable to connect to CMS :6400. A wrong connection is made to @@WIN-KP9N33QGFL:6400(WIN-KP9N33QGFL:6400). Logon cannot continue.

Question was answered by SAP Support. We used the computer name and port for the system information when logging in.
EX: Computer123:6400

This may have been covered before, but I cannot find any threads...
I am using BuisnessObjects Enterprise 11, and I need to be able to log into my CMS from remote locations using Crystal Reports XI. I also admin a CMS for another company and need to be able to access that CMS as well. When I try to make an Enterprise connection to my CMS from home (for example), I get the following error:
Unable to connect to CMS reports.msrealtors.org. A wrong connection is made to @@REPORTS-SERVER(REPORTS-SERVER.MSREALTORS.LOCAL). Logon cannot continue.
I cannot figure out what I need to do to make this work. Any help would be MOST appreciated. Right now I have to design my reports, then use the web interface to upload them to the server. It works, but it's a pain.

TAZ: There is no configuration required to login via crystal reports, it should just work. If it doesn't then the most likely cause is firewall because that is the only difference between crystal logging on and infoview.
That's not true. The CMS is looking for the machine name, that's why I cannot connect using a FQDN. I've even tried from the office using a FQDN, this is how I know that is the problem. The only way I can connect is by using the machine name (old-fileserver works, reports.msrealtors.org does not).
TAZ: What about from the CMS to your workstation, we can't control the return ports are they being blocked?
All ports, to and from home, are open. It's the same as if I was sitting at the office (as far as ports go anyway).
TAZ: There are no BO folks required to answer these forums. they were designed to allow customers to help customers. Som BO employees like me take personal time to do this but it's not required or encouraged.
I know they are not required to troll here, but I can still wish... lol
I guess the only way I'm really going to be able to do what I want is to connect via VPN to my work network. Bleh...

CMS wrong connection made

Unable to connect to CMS prdapp22. A wrong connection is made to @@PRDAPP22(PRDAPP22, PRDAPP22:6400). Logon cannot continue.
I have reconfigured (manually) Tomcat to point at a virtual IP on the hostname above. I have this running in another environment, but in this environment, it is not working.

Just thinking if you can try to Reparing the Native Client setup and see if it works.
Also if SQL Server Agent account is a domain account (and not as of SQL Server Engine) then try to check if it has below permissions (via Local Policies of the server) also does it has Local Machine Admin permission:
Act as part of the operating system
Adjust memory quotas for a process
Bypass traverse checking
Log on as a batch job
Log on as a service
Replace a process level token

Unable to directly connect WTI CMS-16 to a SG200-26 switch

Hello,
We recently replaced a Netgear 16-port JGS516 gigabit switch with a Cisco SG200-26 switch. When we did, we lost our ability to talk to our WTI CMS-16 (Western Telematics 16-port serial lines).   The CMS-16 has a 10Base-T Ethernet, RJ45 connector that provides telnet access to 16 serial ports.
When we put a Netgear DS104 hub in between the CMS-16 and the SG200-26, all is well. Packets flow back and forth and we are able to ping and telnet to the CMS-16 through the hub.
When we directly connect the CMS-16 to the SG200-26 and ping the CMS-16, the "Status & Statistics"->Interface records transmitted packets and "nil" received packets. By "nil" we mean that if we wait long enough the statistics reports an occasional (about once every few minutes) 68-octet Unicast packet was received.
When the CMS-16 is directly connected, the SG200-26 link light is lit. We cannot Administration->Diagnostics->"Copper Test" because the "Copper Test" button is greyed out.
When the CMS-16 is plugged into the Netgear DS104 hub, the CMS-16 port has its 10M LED lit, and the port connected to the SG200-26 has its 100M LED lit.
Our SG200-26 switch is running firmware version 1.1.0.73.   We are using a single LVAN ... nothing fancy. The CMS-16 is running firmware version 2.06.
Do we need to configure the port on the SG200-26 in some special way to deal with this legacy CMS-16 device?

We tried your idea by making the following change on the SG200-26:
Administration -> Port Management -> Port Settings -> 7 -> ((Click Edit))
    ((unplug the cms-16 from Port 7))
    Interface: GE7

    Reactivate Suspected Port: [x]
    Auto Negoation: [ ] Enable
    Administrative Port Speed: (*) 10M
    Administrative Duplex Mode: (*) Half

    ((Plug in ithe cms-16 to Port 7))
Unfortunately that did not fix the problem. Namely:

@@ServerName returns wrong value in SQL SERVER 2008

One of my production server configured as Mirror server. When i run @@ServerName query on Principal server i got right server name. but when i execute same query on mirror server it returns Principal server name. I have windows server 2008. I don't know
why it happens.

is right.
In this sql server, there are two sql services: one is the default server name, and another is the wrong instance name
SQLBEYONDPAY\SQLC.
Currently, when I connect to SQLCBP instance, when I select SERVERPROPERTY('ServerName'), it returns
SERVERPROPERTY('ServerName') =SQLBEYONDPAY\SQLC (bad name), it needs to be 'SQLCBP' instead. When I select
@@servername, it returns SQLCBP (good) already.

I have a 16GB iPod touch that suddenly stopped connecting to the internet last night. Everytime I try to get mail, or access anything with Safari I get a message saying that it can't connect to the server. Also I've plugged it in to my home computer but it won't connect to iTunes either. I haven't updated to iOS8 yet as I didn't have enough space for it and I had planned on deleting all my music files, updating the software and putting whatever music I could fit back on to the device afterward, but now I'm hesitant to do that as I have no way to get any of the files back onto the device. Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Try this and see if it resolves the issue.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Then try again.

the iPhone uses active sync. Desktop clients do not. Desktop clients use another exchange protocol (which i can't remember as i'm not a microsofty).
Just because you can access via active sync doesn't mean you can access it by other methods, and vice versa.

I am currently an owner of an Ipod Touch 4th generation. I see you are having problems with your Ipod Touch, so I will try to find a solution to your problem.
Hold down the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10sec. or until Apple logo appears (Nothing will be lost, this is just a "Hard Reset")
