Unable to copy or paste in Dreamweaver CC

I am unable to copy or paste html or simple text in my DreamWeaver CC files.
I've tried starting from scratch, with a fresh page.
When I open a file or create a new file, I see this message:
I have worked with DreamWeaver for years and rely on it for my work everyday.
I have not seen this message before. I only recently started using Creative Cloud, so I'm assuming this is related.
I would appreciate any help. Is this the only support that Creative Cloud has?

Try step #4 - Delete FileCache.dat files from the Dreamweaver user configuration folder.

Did you try to paste by right-clicking or by typing Ctrl + V ?
Sometimes the former doesn't work but the latter works. -- My own experience.

I am unable to copy and paste text from mozilla, clipboard error

Hi-
It seems I am suddenly unable to copy and paste anything from mozilla into other text editors (word, wordpad, notepad).
I am unable to use ctrl c or v, when trying to do Edit-copy or paste it seems as though nothing is "recognized" by Mozilla.
I'm using a netbook running Win7.
In an effort to fix this problem I restarted firefox, started in safe mode, disabled all plugins, returned to default settings, and have done basically everything except for uninstalling and reinstalling.
Are there suggestions? I looked in older posts, but I also do not have the pushow.dll(or something like it) or the new.net(or comparable) malware so I cant get rid of that either.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Firefox button > Web Developer > Error Console or {Ctrl + Shft + J} from the keyboard
Do you have any messages relating specifically to that error? <br />
You can right-click a message and use Copy to get that message into the clipboard - and then Paste it here. (If that works.)
Beyond that, try a new Profile (don't Delete your current Profile). <br />

Unable to copy and paste a phote from my photo library to another photo album

iphoto 6.0.6 unable to copy and paste a photo from my main library album to another photo album. why does the copy and paste function not work for these albums. I have tried to drag it and drop it into the album, but nothing works. it this a bug? When I created the album several years ago, I was able to copy and paste photos into it, but now when I try to copy and paste nothing happens. Again I ask, is this a bug?

Unable to copy and paste images in latest "Pages"

I use to be able to copy and paste images in my old pages by ctrl + click and choose "copy" and then reverse the process by ctrl + click and choose to paste it.
But now since I updated to the latest pages I am unable to execute this function.
My computer has OS X 10.9.1 and Pages 5.0.1.
Is there any way I could get this working by the above mentioned method.

It is not ctrl. Unless you are talking about right clicking and using the contextual menu.
It is command c (copy) command v (paste).
There are a number missing features in the contextual menu in Page 5.
Apple has removed over 90 features from Pages 5.

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Archive/trash Pages 5 and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

Acrobat XI Windows 7 - unable to (copy and) paste form fields to a different pdf.

To maintain a consistent appearance and function in the forms I create for various departments, I copy a few form fields (text, checkboxes) from an unrelated Acrobat PDF. Then I paste those fields into a different PDF document that I am making fillable.
I do this because Acrobat does not allow setting a default for certain attributes when creating form fields, i.e. an unchecked scroll option, a default font other than Helvetica (in Acrobat 8, 9, and X). Plus it is time-saving to copy and paste fields that are the same in another PDF, like name, address, phone. etc.
We just updated to Acrobat XI and Windows 7 and now I cannot paste copied fields onto a different PDF.
Using "replace pages" is not applicable as I am pasting to an entirely different form and copying form fields with the settings I use.
Is this a glitch or is something new that was not in Acrobat 8, 9, and X?
Also, question regarding this forum entry - http://forums.adobe.com/message/5638333#5638333 - which is somewhat different from my current question.
The PDF creator could not paste copied fields on other pages of the same PDF. Was this ever resolved so that copy and paste worked as it has for the last 3 versions of Acrobat?

Gilad: You're right: when the fields are different, such as a checkbox and a text field, and you try to title them the same, Acrobat gives you a message. I received no messages, the field names are not the same or I missed one and Acrobat is no longer messaging about it.
My question is different. Acrobat XI will not let me paste any field copied from a different PDF. I've been doing that for 5 years in three different versions. Maybe Acrobat XI has a new process for that, which I could not find in Acrobat help. Maybe it's because all forms now have extended rights automatically in Acrobat XI and there is another method to copy common fields to other PDFs.
Any thoughts about the new Acrobat XI? It's different in many good ways, but different.

I am unable to copy and paste my password onto the Hotmail page

I live in China and their censors watch everything I do on the net. Before I had no problem when I typed in my password, which would give them access to my Hotmail. But I opened a document on my laptop and put in all new passwords for everything. It worked for a while, but Hotmail seems to have changed their page. Now when I try to copy and paste my password on the Hotmail page, nothing happens. The dropdown box has the paste on it, but it is not highlighted, so I can't just paste it in the password box. I've had to use IE which works, but every time I perform an action on a page, the page jumps as if they are taking a snapshot of what I'm doing and I really don't like it. Any suggestions?

Did you try to use the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+V or Ctrl + Insert) ?

Unable to Copy and Paste XML View with BI Office Add In

Hi there,
I'm having issues with the BI Add-In for MS Office. I am able to connect and insert views from within Excel or Powerpoint. However when I log into Answers using my browser and copy a compound answer, I am unable to paste it back into excel or Powerpoint.
When I try to paste the view, I recieve the error "No Oracle BI view in clipboard".
So I assume the error is with capturing that information in the clipboard. I've tried with both Internet Explorer and Firefox.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Hi saichand, thanks for the link.
I've looked through that thread and the work around the poster comes up with is not actually Office integration. He is able to simply import an image into his powerpoint. It doesn't appear to be able to refresh the data that way. I am looking to be able to paste in a report definition so that the data can be updated.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Why am I unable to copy and paste from clipboard?

I am able to copy text from Safari on iPad 3, but it is not saving to clipboard because I am unable to paste it (no paste option comes up when I tap). Sometimes it also pastes a previously copied text from the clipboard instead. How can I fix this?

Unable to copy/cut/paste from within custom file naming dialogue (in exporting images)

When I go into the export dialogue and select a portion of a file naming scheme, I cannot get it into the clipboard. I had wanted to cut a portion of the specification, export with an amended name, and then paste the original back. I am running the beta in Win7 64-bit.

Advice:
1) Check Copy in sand-boxed app. in 1.6.0_24+.
2) Do not hi-jack the threads of other people. Start a new thread and if you think another thread relates to your problem, link to it.

The pdf I am unable to paste my entire word doc. to is the third one down on this page http://www.csun.edu/hhd/cd/Fall2012DepartmentGraduateApplicationMaterials.htm, if you scroll down after selecting the 3rd pdf. you will see a large box that says to paste your statement of intent, no more than 1000 words, when I attempt to paste my 971 word statement from word it only allows 586 words and will not let me type into the document after this.

Whoever designed the form didn't do a very good job... They probably wanted to prevent the field text from overflowing (in which case it won't be visible when printed), but the information they provide is wrong. There's no way you could fit a thousand words into this form field since it will only take 3650 characters (and a space is a character), and the average English word is usually considered to be 5 letters long. So you can probably get around 600 words into this area (600 ~= 3650 / (5 letters + 1 space per word)).
Bottom line is this: either edit your text, or contact your school and ask them to adjust the form for you. If they set the font size to Automatic and remove the character limit, the problem will basically be solved (although the text will become smaller if you enter a very large amount of it).

Unable to copy and paste properly on HP teem talk emulator

Hi, we are experiencing an issue with our tool infoman [using HP TEEM TALK] as emulator. when copying items from the tool it will not allow us to copy the entire contents of the window. likewise we are not able to paste directly on the tool since if there are lines longer than the allotted space set on teem talk we end up putting characters on the command column. Please let us know how to modify the setting to resolve these issues. thanks

Hi, Nothing to do with your computer, it's a tool/function from software. We've got a similar problem when using Lync (from Microsoft) to chat. We can paste to the messages but we can't copy from messages. We have to save as a text file and then copy from there. Regards.

I Have an IPad 2 with recently installed IOS 8.02. I no longer can copy and then paste into NOTES on the IPad.

Did the following:
1. Show hidden files
Did the terminal command as above.
Force Relaunched Finder.
All the hidden files appeared.
The root directory had a /tmp shortcut which pointed to /private/tmp.
Created a new folder (“untitled folder”) on the Desktop and —
could copy or move random text files already on the Powerbook's HD to the new folder;
could not copy–paste or drag–drop files from DVD to the new folder.
2. Set up new user account
Created a new user account (“test”) with Administrator privileges.
Switched to the new user account.
Created a new folder (“untitled folder”) on the Desktop and —
could copy or move newly–generated text files from the Desktop to the new folder;
could not copy–paste or drag–drop files from DVD to the new folder.
3. Check Desktop info
Navigated to user root directory.
Selected Get Info for Desktop folder:
Desktop folder is not locked;
Sharing & Permissions privileges for [user] were already set to Read & Write;
changed the Sharing & Permissions privileges for ‘Everybody‘ from Read Only to Read & Write;
Force Relaunched Finder.
Could copy or move files around HD but could not copy files from DVD to HD.

I am unable to copy and paste a photo into another event;

and if I duplicate the picture in one event, and then highlight one,; cut and paste into another it moves both pictures into the other event even though only one was selected. Any advice please?

You can try this simple fix -
Quit DW.
Find this file -
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
Explorer > Tools >
Folder Options to unhide them)
and delete it.
Restart DW. Works better?
