Unable to create Decision Service partner link

Hi,
I am attempting to create a Decision Service to invoke a ruleset. I go through the Decision Service wizard and I am able to select the ruleset from the Rule Explorer but when I press the Finish button nothing happens. The partner link is not created but no error is given.
The rules were created via the Rules Author in SOA Suite 10.1.3.3 and I am using JDev 10.1.3.4.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks,
Gavin

Ignore this.
Restarting JDeveloper seems to have fixed the problem

  • Unable to create a Service Connection Point

    Hi -
    I set up a new SharePoint 2013 environment.  Everything installed successfully.  When I launch Central Admin, it doesn't accept my logon ID/password.  I found the following in the application event logs.    I assume our AD guys will
    need to set up a new SCP as pointed out here:   http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff730261.aspx
    I just don't recall having to ever do this before in any of the dozen or environments that I had set up.
    Unable to create a Service Connection Point in the current Active Directory domain. Verify that the SharePoint container exists in the current domain and that you have rights to write to it.

    By the way, when I tried to run PowerShell to create the Admin Content DB, I got this error, even though the install account has sysadmin privileges on all databases:

    I just went ahead and then ran the Product Config Wizard and it set up everything fine.  Some folks were able to resolve by running config wizard twice?

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you were unable to create a Service Connection Point.
    To resolve the “Unable to create a Service Connection Point in the current Active Directory domain”
    error, you need to make sure you have permission to write to this container.
    “You have to grant permission to write to this container to any user accounts or domain accounts that could run the SharePoint Products
    Configuration Wizard. If the account does not have permission to write to this container, the following warning will appear in the log file for the SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard:  Unable to create a Service Connection Point in the current Active
    Directory domain. Verify that the SharePoint container exists in the current domain and that you have rights to write to it.”
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff730261.aspx
    The “New-SPConfigurationDatabase : Cannot connect to database master at SQL server”
    error is a common issue and has various resolutions.
    More often than not it is a firewall issue on the SQL server so check that OR it's that SQL server has not been enabled for remote connections.
    I would recommend you follow all the steps and options in
    Cannot connect to database master at SQL server
     and
    SharePoint Install – Cannot connect to database master.

    Hi Linda
    thanks a lot for help.
    I modified the ULS-logging to include verbose entries. The problem is correlated to Excel Services, which are functioning quite well on our side. Our Topology consists of an application server, 2 WFE and an office app server. We are using the BI features

  • Unable to create a service contract from IDoc BLAORD FM IDOC_INPUT_BLAORD

    I've been testing creating service contracts using BLAORD and it appears that SAP does not have any way of creating a service contract using IDOC_INPUT_BLAORD. Inside this function a BDC is built and either ME31K or ME32K is called. There is processing that checks the service line package numbers, but it doesn't appear to be creating them (Maybe I'm overlooking something). When the BDC is being built the services screen is ignored. There is a user exit that could be used to populate the BDC for these screens.
    I recently had to develop a custom BDC to create service contracts becuase, to the knowledge of our best ABAP-ers, there is no SAP standard functionality to create service contracts programmatically besides using a BDC. My custom BDC will fail when run in background because of a GUI control on the services screen. It runs fine in the foreground. The short dump is 'RAISE_EXCEPTION'. Short text: Exception condition "CNTL_ERROR" raised. Termination is occurring in CL_GUI_DOCKING_CONTAINER->CONSTRUCTOR. We're on ECC 6.0.
    I checked the SAP Notes system and I was unable to find anything related specifically to contracts for this issues. I did see that SAP has released OSS notes for other BDC processes so that they would be able to run in background.
    I am wondering if there is anyone who currently is able to create service contracts using IDOC_INPUT_BLAORD. My plan is to set up an RFC between SAP systems. The customer wants to be able to receive contracts on demand. Has anyone done this before for service contracts? What has your approach been? Is there anyway of having the function run in foreground when it receives a IDoc?
    Thanks for your input,
    Steve

    Hello Steve,
    Did you get a solution to Service Contract (Purchase) creation through BLAORD or through any other FM please?
    BAPI_CONTRAT_CREATE does not handle services.
    Have a similar requirement and trying to avoid BDC.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Unable to create Web Service Model

    Hi All,
         I generated one wsdl file from Message Interfaces in Integration Repository of SAP XI.
    I am unable to create the model by using this wsdl file in Web Dynpro.
    I followed this approach
    In the NWDS > model > createModel > Import WebService Model > LocalFile System or URL > Here I am selecting wsdl file from local system.
    But the model is not created. Even it is not giving any message or error.
    Please suggest how to proceed.
    Regards
    Ashish.

    Hi Ashish,
      I think you missed something when u r creating the wsdl only.
    So do one thing check it again else create the wsdl again and try importing it. It should not be the problem else.I'm giving my wsdl file here..just check it with this. This takes the associate id as input and will give 3 outputs like email id and others as output. I dont think u can use this wsdl. You can simply compare this with ur wsdl and find out wat is the mistake..

  • Unable to create a service in SDCCN

    hi all ,
      i want to create a service in my Quality service in TC : SDCCN .
    but when i click on on the NEW button , i get a status message as 'no action is possible '
    but i was able to do it on Development and production system .
    Do we need to change any settings ?

    Hi,
    Do find the Snote 763561 where i found answer for your problem which depicts as shown below:-
    When trying to create a task in SDCCN an error message
    appears: ' No action possible '. Why can the task not be
    created?
    Answer :  SDCCN has not yet been initialised correctly, and
    so the customizing for the tasks has not been filled yet.
    SDCCN can be initialised locally by following these steps:
    Ensure that the task processor job is deactivated, via
    SDCCN -> Goto -> Settings -> Task processor
    Then initialise the tool via SDCCN ->Utilities -> Activate.
    If the initialisation was succesful you should get the following
    messages:
    Local initialisation of new Service Data Control Center
    Activation successful
    Destination to SAP created
    AUTO_SESSION_MANAGER descheduled Settings filled
    Service Data Control Manager tasks created Task processor

  • Unable to create new services using the R3 replicated service categories

    Hi All,
    I have the following problem:
    We have replicated the services from our R3 system to SRM (as well as the materials).
    We also have an external system that will be creating new services and it will reuse the service categories from R3.
    When I try to create a service online, I can only select the SRV_ category type. None of the others which do exist in COMM_CATEGORY are available (Like SRV_ALL, SRV_SERV,...). When I try to select them I get an error like:
    "Product category SRV_ALL has a different product type to maintained product"
    The problem doesn't exist for materials where I can use any of the MAT_* types.
    I suspect that the settings in COMM_HIERARCHY transaction might have an impact. I can see that for MAT_ and all MAT_* the attribute product type has been set to "Product". Whereas for services I only see that SRV_ is set to "Service", all the other SRV_* type have no value set. According to SAP Help they would inherit the value from the parent which is SRV_, but perhaps this functionality doesn't fully work?
    Now, I would like to get the value the product type attribute set to "service" for all SRV_* type, however in SRM I cannot edit them as the ECC system is the source. Does any one know if I can change some settings for the replication of the service types so that this attribute is set for all my service types during replication? Or any other solution?
    Thanks in advance!

    I have also tried mentioning all the options, but still the same. Please find the snapshot below:
    Kindly advice.
    Regards, Alan.

    Hi Alan,
    I'm guessing that -T is a parameter to the vmrun.exe executable, right?
    So if you type in the following instead, it should work to create the service.
    #With SC
    sc create TWikiVM binPath= "C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Workstation\vmrun.exe -T ws start D:\vm's\TWiki-VM\Twiki-6.0.vmx"
    #With PowerShell
    New-Service -BinaryPathName "C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Workstation\vmrun.exe -T ws start D:\vm's\TWiki-VM\Twiki-6.0.vmx" -Name TWikiVM
    Notice the space between binPath= "" and the executable
    However, note that depending on vmrun.exe's behaviour it might not work anyway when you try to start the service.
    Hope this helps you!

    Besides teh fact the Vista Home Basic is NOT supported for 10g, did you check whats the setting of UAC in your system? You may want to right click to the oradim command and make it run as Administrator.

  • Unable to create web Service Data Control

    I'm trying to consume a service in my UI. And under it, I'm creating a data control for the service WSDL given below
    [http://pc181356.cts.com:8001/soa-infra/services/default/GetPatientDetailsPrj/a2t_getpatientdetailsprocess_client_ep?WSDL]
    I verified the link in browser & is working good, But in the wizard it is giving error as "Failed to read WSDL file caused by: java.net.ConnectionException: Connection timed out".
    Please help me out..!!!

    Do you have a proxy defined in your jdev? This might prevent reading from the address you specified.
    If you can access the url in a browser, you can store the WSDL on your local pc and use the local file to create the webServiceDataControl.

  • Unable to create web service for axis2 client

    Hi,
    Iam very new about using axis2. What i want to do is to generate a webservice for my client. Client should be able to send data to server using those services. My xml pattern is given below.

    <test2>
    <test3>
    <test4></test4>
    <test5></test5>

    I used inner class to generate suck kind of xml, but due to lack of knowledge, i was unable to do that. Below is my test class.
    public class EchoService{
    public MyInnerClass retMyInnerClass(MyInnerClass test1) {
    return test1;
    public class MyInnerClass {
    private String test2;
    public MyInnerClass() { }

    public String getTest2() {
    return this.test2;
    Please help me to find my mistake.

    Hi there.
    I don't know what the problem is with NetBeans, but if you see the local copy of the WSDL in the firstcup-war project, you will find that the name of your computer should be there as part of the URL. Change it to 'localhost' or to '127.0.0.1' and it should work.
    Example:
    <xsd:schema>
          <xsd:import namespace="http://webservice.firstcup.sun.com/" schemaLocation="http://localhost:8080/DukesAgeService/DukesAgeService/__container$publishing$subctx/WEB-INF/wsdl/DukesAgeService_schema1.xsd" xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns:soap12="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap12/"/>
    </xsd:schema>And...
    <port name="DukesAgePort" binding="tns:DukesAgePortBinding">
          <soap:address location="http://localhost:8080/DukesAgeService/DukesAgeService" xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns:soap12="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap12/"/>

  • Unable to create web service client

    I am using NetBeans to build the the first-cup example but I have failed in all my attempts to create the web service client for first-cup web module.
    The reported error is: "

    wsimport-client-DukesAgeService:
    error: Connection timed out: connect
    unknown location
    error: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
    I have tried to start the sun server application but that doesn't solve the problem.
    I have strictly followed the following instructions taken from the first-cup tutorial, found at http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/firstcup/doc/p8.html.
    Creating a Web Service Client for the firstcup-war Web Module
    The firstcup-war web module must consume the firstcup-dukes-age web service in order to get Duke's current age. For this to happen, you need to create a web service client for the firstcup-war web module.
    Creating a Web Service Client for the firstcup-war Web Module
    Select firstcup-war from the Project pane.
    Select File -> New File.
    Select Web Services from the Categories pane.
    Select Web Service client from the File Types pane.
    Click Next.
    Select WSDL URL.
    Into the WSDL URL field, enter the following location of the WSDL file of the web service that the web service client will consume.
    http://localhost:8080/DukesAgeService/DukesAgeService?WSDL
    Into the Package field, enter the following package where the client files will be generated.
    com.sun.firstcup.webservice
    Click Finish.
    Thank you and look forward to hearing from you all.

    Hi,
    From your description I am assuming that you are using JAX-WS, if not get back to me as I might have another bug to look at.
    The problem is that the annotation @Oneway needs to be added to the methods in java files for this to work correctly. You can either do this manually or use the PI in the code editor. I have raised bug 6266513 to track the fact this annotation is not written out properly. I have logged bug 6266556 to track the nillable=true and extranious elements you will see when you do add @Oneway.
    Thanks for the quality of your bug report, and we would of course welcome any other feedback good or bad you would like to give us.

    Hi,
    Try using obtunnel with your bepl console.
    Alternatively, if your server is on unix/ linux, try tcpdump to capture packets to a particular server and then open the file in wireshark to analyse the contents.
    Wish SOA suite would allow us to view this by default!
