Unable to create GlassFish server on Luna

Hi all,
I'm experiencing the same problem than here https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/821156/, but according to the comments that was already fixed.
This is what I'm trying:
Install the Glassfish Tools from the Marketplace
In the Servers view, right click > New > Server > GlassFish 4 > Next
The page called "Define GlassFish runtime properties" is empty except for the words "Internal error" (see attached image).
Is the "GlassFish Tools for Luna" entry on Eclipse Marketplace working? or is there any other way to install the GlassFish tools?

When you use "GlassFish Tools for Luna" entry on Eclipse Marketplace, you should see two features displayed. Did you install both of them? If you don't install "Oracle Java EE Tools", you will hit the error that you are describing.

We are currently getting the following error "Error 1013000 loading application: Unable to Create Request Server Thread" when attempting to load more than 5 applications onto our new Essbase server. The O/S is Windows 2003 and we are running Essbase 6.5.5. Our old server, running Windows 2000, is not experiencing this problem.

I think I've found the problem! It seems the server team didn't set up the swap file, hence, when physical memory started to run a little low on the box, the thread could not be created. FYI, we had already increased the SERVERTHREADS option in the Essbase.cfg file.

BEA-002606 Unable to create a server socket for listening on channel

Hi,
I am trying to stand up JDEVELOPER suite 11.1.2 on Windows 7 64 Bit.
When I sreate a sample app and try to compile, I get the error:
<Error> <Server> <BEA-002606> <Unable to create a server socket for listening on channel "DefaultSecure". The address 192.168.56.101 might be incorrect or another process is using port 7102: java.net.BindException: Cannot assign requested address: JVM_Bind.>
This IP is not active on my machine, although it was initialized at one point through a VBox instance I installed. I have tried to clean off the VBOX instance and the JDEVELOPER, rebooting between loads. Can anyone help me get what look like a ghost IP off my machine. Note: I set the weblogic server to port 8003, so I am also not sure why itis looking at port 7002.

It is the integrated server. I have taken everything off (JDev adn VBOX) and cleaned some of the hard to find file structures just to make sure there wasn't a hidden config file I was missing.
I am new to Web Logic, so I was hoping to get the integrated server running first and then learn the ins and outs of deployment to a production system.

Unable to install glassfish server in eclipse.

I'm using WinXP SP3
Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse (12.1.1.0.1)

On the Servers tab, right click New > Server then I choose GlassFish Server Open Source Edition 3 (Java EE 6) at localhost next in the Application Server Directory: i put C:/glassfish and click Install Server
I get this message Missing classpath entry: c:\glassfish\glassfishv3\glassfish\modules\glassfish.jar

in the Application Server Directory: i put C:/glassfish and click Install Server
But, is GlassFish installed in the c:/glassfish server? If not, install GlassFish before creating a server instance.

Unable to start GlassFish server V3.01 on Windows 7 64 bit

I am receiving the below error message when trying to start the glassfish server.
I have windows firewall turned on + microsoft security essentials (no other firewall is running).
I have done some research in forums and checked the following things as per suggestions:
1. checked that localhost 127.0.0.1 is present in hosts file
2. windows firewall is configured to allow java and glassfish processes
3. glassfish domain.xml is configured for the 64-bit jvm .
Please, can anybody help to resolve the issue?

Hi all,
Found the exact root cause:
Old installation of Avast firewall.
on my laptop I used Avast internet security and then removed it sometime ago. But some avast entries in registry were still left and also there was a windows service for Avast.
I found this out because I have a win 7 32-bit netbook where I was got same exception (Unable to establish loopback connection) yesterday when i tried to start glassfish.
So i deleted all avast registry entries and removed the avast service, then I could start the Glassfish server successfully.
So no surprise why it worked on my new Win 7 installation on original laptop as it was a clean format n reinstall.

Can not create glassfish server runtime

I has this error when creating a 4.0 server runtime "There is no valid GlassFish runtime in specified directory" with Glassfish 4.0 installation. However, there is no error with glassfish-4.0-b83-ml.zip.

I think the issue might have been with your specific download. I am able to create a server runtime to the 4.0 (build 89) GA install from OEPE and am able to start the domain as well.

Unable to create application server connection in Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3

I am using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3. As my soa environement is clustered and we have 2 nodes on server.
While create application server connection jeveloper is giving error as : **Bad OPMN server host address*. I am able to accesss application using mozila or internet explorer. Will it provide different host name while soa is installed in clustered environment. Please help me in this.

Are you behind a proxy in Firefox or IE?
If so try to give the same proxy and the proxy avoidance IP's in JDeveloper proxy configuration.
If server couldnot be communicated from Jdev then this will be the first place i will look into .

Disk Swapping Issue: Error 1013000 loading application: Unable to Create Request Server Thread

I am still getting the server thread issue (see earler posting), despite having increased the SERVERTHREADS parameter. We seem to hit a limit on the number of applications that can be loaded at any one time, and as soon as it is reached, the error appears. Unload a few applications and the error temporarily goes away.When looking at the disk swapping section in the "System Info" tab of the "Server Information" dialog, the status is "Enabled, File not Found". We have less than 4Gbs of memory (3,833,168), so Essbase should be able to display the swap file. The servers that we are experiencing this problem have Windows 2003 installed, with Essbase 6.5.5. The old server that does have this problem is running Windows 2000 and Essbase 6.5.5.On the compatibility section of the Hyperion web-site, they confirm that Essbase 6.5.5 and Windows 2003 will work.Any ideas, apart from installing Windows 2000, which apparently isn't an option?!Cheers,Doug

I am facing the error while starting the server. I see the following error.

The WebLogic Server did not start up properly.

If the port is already in use how to find which server is running on that port, how to find the process and kill it. I am using weblogic 8.1 sp4 in Solaris 8.

It sounds like (as you already note) failed to shutdown WLS, that is why the
.loc file was held and why the port is in use, WLS process was still
running. To see why it failed to shut down, I would examine the
weblogic.log, aslo the servers std out and err. Additionally taking a
thread dump (if possible) on the "it wont shut down" wls java process should
show (maybe unless the VM is hosed), where/what is hanging on/around. Do
you happen to have native code running with wls, say a type 2 JDBC driver?
Otherwise it sounds like a VM bug. But more data is needed to be sure.

the process which usually works. This time I was unable to kill the process
without using the kill -9 command. When I attempted to bring the server

netstat -an shows the port is in use but the only process that is alloweduse that port is WLS.

Unable to create server pool, cant locate server pool file system

Hi,
While creating a server pool, I'm unable to select a physical disk for the server pool file system. I have a Fiber channel 20 GB LUN presented to 2 hosts and on both, the disks are seen. However when creating the server pool, no physical disks show up under "location", not even the local storage. Are there any logs that I can check to see whats going on?

I was able to "resolve" this. I unassigned the LUNs, deleted them on the array and represented new LUNs and that worked. Looks like if there is an existing file system on the LUN, it will not create a repository. Only wish there was a warning message to indicate the same

I am unable to create a file in Application Server using the following statement.

IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT

The message I'm getting is "Permission Denied". I have checked authorisation using SU53 which says "The last authorization check was successful". Please help.

I am facing issue Creating a connection to the target GlassFish Server.
I am using jdevelepor version 11.1.1.4.0. Here i am trying to create an application server connection.
But in the Application navigator i couldnt able to lcate the (In the Application Server Navigator, right-click Application Servers and choose New Application Server Connection) new aplication server connection.
In the componet palette there is IDE connection inside it the appliction server is present.When i right click on it i am able to locate the New Application Server Connection.
But i am not able to get the the below mentioned steps,
In the New Gallery, expand General, select Connections and then Application Server Connection, and click OK.
In the Resource Palette, choose New > New Connections > Application Server.
In the Create AppServer Connection dialog, on the Usage page, select Standalone Server.
On the Name and Type page, enter a connection name.
In the Connection Type dropdown list, choose:
GlassFish 3.1 to create a connection to the GlassFish Server
Click Next.
Could you please help me on this issue.

Then why i am getting the error when trying to deploy an EAr to glassfish?
Steps which i followed to Deploy the EAr,
1)I have created a ear file in JDEV.
2)in glassfish admin console, deployed the ear by choosing the file from the deploy location.
I am geting eror ..
For one application i am getting

For another application getting the error,
Interceptor binding contains an interceptor class name = oracle.jbo.server.svc.ServiceContextInterceptor that is not defined as an interceptor.

Unable to create a secure connection to this serve...

When i try to connect Turkish free wireless network TTnet Wifi, i am having "unable to create a secure connection to this server" error. The network connection trying to open an https log in page to connect internet. (in normally after the push connect button on that page, the network connection becomes available for internet.) All notebook and iphone or other mobile / computer devices can connect to internet with this network, but not nokia 5800 (and maybe other nokia devices with same browser)
I have tried with other browsers like skyfire or opera but no luck because after the connect ttnet wifi network, device opens default browser for log in page, and it gives error. I have also tried wefi too.
I think there is a bug or missing features with default browser. If you have any comments or suggestions please write.

I have tried to change default browser from default apps. but no chance, it shows only WEB for browsers, but i have all browsers installed (opera, opera mini, skyfire etc...) isnt there any chance to change default browser?

No, didn't find DSCC agent logs get updated when I have the pop up.

In the glassfish server log, I didn't find new transaction when I hit the issue
