Hi ,
I am getting an error while creating variable at report level,
Well, my condition at variable creation is ----> sum(A) where [country] <> " x" ...(It is showing the results when the country is equal to x) and the converse for the same ... If I use [country] = "x" .. It is taking as country not equal to x ..
Please suggest me on this..

the logic applied is incorrect
NotEquals is a boolean function meaning it will accept only boolean values as input....
To check if the Material Number is ZPRO or not use the below logic
MaterialNumber                                            Then(FG)
                      ------equalS(TextFunction) ---- not -----ifWithElse ------------------ Target

Not Equal To Scenario

Dear All,
I have a scenario whereby I have same id with two values.
Lets say TableA with two Columns - Field_id ,Value, Indicator
and populated as
1 x true
1 y true
Now, I want to return no rows if passed in value is either 'x' or 'y' for Not Equal to Condition.
That is, select * from TableA where value != 'y' and field_id = 1; produces one row but I want no rows to be returned possibly with Case statement or similiar.
In my scenario, the row with 'x' value is parent and 'y' is the child. So when I check for Not Equal To condition I need to automatically exclude the parent.
Any help/ideas will be welcome and appreciated.

EPMA Deployment Error - Unable To create

We are trying deploy a Hyperion Planning Application using EPMA and we are getting the following error. The Oracle database being used is version 11gR2 and the user has the create view, session & resource.

I see the Error " Unable to create Scehma for application.Exiting Application Creation". I think the The user does not have the necessary Database privileges.
make sure that the user should be the Database creator and should have other necessary privileges.

Planning application deployment error (unable to create schema)

Hi,
I was trying to deploy a planning application and got stuck at the deployment step (the validation wen't through fine). During deployment the job aborts giving the following error : Unable to create Scehma for application. Exiting Application Creation.
Can anyone suggest what could be the issue here. Appreciate the help.

Check if the oracle user schema has sufficient privileges to create the tables it needed, etc. Usually if the Oracle DBA grants Connect and resource it is sufficient or more specifically, they need to ensure the following privileges have been granted on a tablespace to the user/schema that is connecting: create table, create any index, create sequence, create procedure, create session, alter session.

Nobody can tell you anything without knowing exact site and server specs, but I would suspect that naming the folder "html" wasn't the brightest of ideas, since that's usually a default (invisible) folder name existing somewhere on the server and the user not having privileges to overwrite it.

Recently, iPhoto will no longer allow my to export photos onto my folders on my desktop. It just says that it is unable to create file. Not sure why this is happening?

Create a one word pdf file. Try converting to word. If that fails, try a complete uninstall, run the cleaner tool, then re-install.

Hello, following a power outage, we got a serious cluster error preventing the start of the cluster.
We are trying to interpret the only four lines the cluster.log generates :

This error usually caused by cluster service fails to open a
handle to the \NUL device, Device manager shows the device instance in error state.
Please check whether the following register value still exist, if not please backup your current registry then add the it.

Unable to create PDF - file could not be printed

I am having a problem with a user who is unable to create a pdf using Adobe Standard 8
The error messages is as follows:

I have tried to uninstall Adobe Standard 8 and reinstall and do all the updates
I have uninstalled Adobe Reader 9 and downgraded it to Adobe Reader 8
I have reinstalled Office XP
I have created a new profile for this user
The only way I can get it to work is to make the user an admin, which is not an option. We have other users in the company using this version of Adobe without any problems

Hi I dont think this is a permissions issue I just created a new WINDOWS PROFILE this fixed the issue the user already was a admin on the computer. The issue was trying to save/print any file to PDF to either network or local to computer. Once the new profile was made I was able to test and could once again create pdf files. There must have been something in the old profile causing the issue and the new profile fixed the issue it was a last thing to to try as had tried everything I could think of.

I'm getting this same error message after adding a FK constraint via UI on VS2008 Server Explorer.
I can add the constraint with no errors, but the constraint is not created on the DataSet wizard (strongly typed datasets on Win CE 6) and when I click "Manage Relations" on the "Table Properties" this error pop out:

VS Exp 2013: Unable to create the Web site ... The components for communicating with FTP servers are not installed.

I have MS Visual Studio Express 2013 It has worked fine for many months and then suddenly (I have made no configuration changes or added new programs) when I try to publish I am getting the message:
Unable to create the Web site 'ftp://ftp.xx.xx/xxx.org.uk/www/htdocs'. The components for communicating with FTP servers are not installed.
(I have replaced actual name with x's).
I had a similar problem some months ago and found that saving all files, closing VS 2013 and re-starting the program fixed the problem. This time it has not.
I am at a loss to know how to take this forwards. I do not use IIS.
Any help would be appreciated.

For web site development, so you use the VS2013 express for web, am I right? We have to make sure that it is not the VS version issue.
As you said that it worked well before, did you install other add-ins or tools in your VS IDE like
Xamarin or others?
Maybe you could disable or remove all add-ins in your VS IDE, test it again.
please also install the VS2013 update 4 in your side.

Unable to create native thread in Normal Condition

Since i have configured heapsize to be 512m, PermGenSpace to be 256 and default value for process sapece is 2gb, JVM would be able to create only 1000 threads as per the formula "NoOfThreads = Process space - (Heap + permGen+some for VM initialization)/Stack Size" (correct me if i am wrong). But why i am not getting OutOfMemoryError while creating native thread. Moreover i can observer non-heap (Perm Gen) space keep growing overtime. But there is enough space in all other spaces.So my doubts are
1. Actually when we will get OOM error saying unable to create Native thread. To be more specific when which space occupied i will get this error.
2. Is there any way to configure process space. IMO No ?? Confirm ??
3. Does any one tried using a a tool that analyzes verboseGC output of SUN JVM. If so can you give any pointer. I have read through GCPortal, but i havent fully deployed it.
