Unable to have ICal sync with Google

I am constantly getting authentication of account failed message. I have deleted the keychain info, logged into google thru browser and it is fine. So it seems that the problem is with iCal. Help, it seems to recognize shared calendars and US holidays, but not connect with google and the little deal just keeps spinning.

Calendar Invitations Using iCal Synced with Google Calendar via Exchange

I have a very complicated system set up for syncing multiple calendars. I use CompanionLink to sync my work Lotus Notes calendar to iCal. I then sync my Google Calendar and my husband's Google Calendar to iCal via Exchange. I've recently added the iCal step as a way to get push notifications. That's the only reason I've gone to iCal as I have CalenGoo on my iPhone and it's been working great up to now. However, the only notifications it can do are through email. I have 2 questions.
First - using the iCal program on the iPhone, I tried to invite attendees for a meeting. No invitations were sent. Is there something that has to be set up to make this happen? Also, is it supposed to be sending them through Google or through my own email (mobileme is the primary email account on this phone)?
Second - Is it possible to mark events as Private or Public? I don't want personal events to show up in my work calendar so that others can view them.

Ical sync with google calender: calender could not be found

When I try to sync Ical with google calender with Caldev protocol. I have followed all the steps in google caldev online help page http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=99355. But when I try to create account in Ical, it says "calender could not be found". I have tried to search in online internet forums and help pages but there is no solution. If anyone knows about this, please help me. Thanks

Are you insinuating that I have been posting the same comment elsewhere? That I work for Calgoo? You must have some nerve, and I wish you could accuse me, if that is what you are doing, face to face, so I could reply in a more appropriate manner.
I will refrain from saying anything else to you until you answer these questions, and limit myself to replying that I have no relationship whatsoever with Calgoo, only downloaded it yesterday, and was trying to help people who, like me, were not able to sync Google and iCal despite following the instructions given by Google.

How to create event on iPhone and have it sync with Google and Exchange?

How can you synchronize your Exchange calendar with your Google calendar? I have an Exchange account and Google Sync set up on my iPhone 4. However, when I create an event on my iPhone, I have to pick which calendar it goes in, and it shows up only in that calendar, not in both. How do I get the calendars to actually sync with each other?

Install the Google Sync plugin for Outlook on your computer, and sync the iPhone calendar to Google. Of course, this means that your computer must always be on.

ICal synced with google calender wont allow me to create new calenders

Right now im using one general calendar in my google calendar synced iCal. I would like to split it up, so i have one for school, home, my band etc etc.
The problem is, when i create these new calendars in my google account, they don't show up in iCal. The same problem occurs when i try to make a new calender subordinated my google account cal in iCal itself: Immediately i get the error message:

I really would like to be able to have separated calendars in iCal/google cal that would be able to sync, so i could sync my entire calender to my iPhone.
I hope there is an answer out there, because i have spent hours and hours trying to fix the problem in the iCal and gCal preferences, and i have googled it time after time without finding any help! I have posted this problem before, and someone responded that he had the same problem. But no one have given an answer so far.

Hi Jakob,
Any additional calendars you have set in Google Calendar will appear as delegates to your main Google calendar in iCal. Go to iCal' Preferences > Accounts, select the Google account and open the Delegates tab. There you should see any additional Google calendars and be able to select them to show in iCal.

ICal is no longer syncing with google calendar

I keep getting the error that the url is incorrect when syncing ical with google calendar. It just stopped working today for some reason!
When I look at the settings I see it adds an extra / at the end of the server path. When I delete that it syncs ok once only and then reverts back to the same problem! Help as I use this calendar to sync with google calendars on my imac so that i have the same calendar on my android phone!

the same is happening to me.
All my cals have been syncing just fine. Upgraded my iphone os5. upgraded lion on laptop. And for some reason, now i'm opening ical today and trying to edit, i am suddenly getting URL errors. Also i cannot find a way in the new ical (with lion) to unsubscribe from things.
My iphone seems to be updating ok as it's syncing from the google cal server... but if i want to add or edit anything to my google cals in ical, it's not letting me do anything.
Any ideas anyone ?

Deleting event in iCal 5.0.1 not syncing with Google Calendar

When I delete an event from iCal, it does not sync with Google Calendar. However, when I create an event in iCal, it syncs just fine with Google Calendar. Creating and deleting events from Google Calendar syncs fine with iCal. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Recent support call with Google: iCal deleting events still broken. this is big for us. We have users that have accounts for and/or subscribe to multiple calendars, and took a while to teach them to use iCal, so web based calendars will be foreign to them (even though I like the web based). There is no timeline in place according to Google Tech Support. I feel like the issue is really Apple's issue, so Google is waiting on them to fix, this type of urgency(or lack of) is right up their alley. Oh well.
Does anyone have any suggestions on alternate calendar apps for Mac? Specifically for google calendars?

Address Book doesn't have "sync with Google contacts" any more...!!!!!

Hoping someone can help...
I've updated to 10.0.8, and I just have a look at the options under Address Book. There are still options to sync contacts with MobileMe, and Yahoo (and one other, which I can't remember as I'm not at my Mac), but the last one, "sync with Google contacts", has disappeared!
Has anyone else noticed if that has gone? Have Apple decided not to partner with Google any more?
Or does my Address Book just have some kind of bug?

Address Book sync with Google Contacts problem

After creating a Google Apps account for my new domain, I've configured my Address Book application on my Mac-book Air to sync with Google. I created a contact on the Mac-Book and after a sync I saw it in Google's web client. I created a contact on Google's web client and after a sync it appeared in in Address Book.
After two weeks, the sync stopped working. I didn't changed nothing on the computer. Suddenly I noticed that the contacts sync doesn't work anymore.
iCal and Mail are still working great. the problem is only with Address Book.
I searched Google Help. I reset the Sync Services, soft and hard, still not working. I'm not using iCloud or any other sync.
Do you have any idea?

at some point, I remember being able to do this. 10.5.x maybe? With 10.6 . . . .
I do recall, however, that I stopped doing it because the sync went haywire. I did it the other way around: I have all my contacts in Address Book, so I exported them and uploaded the vCards to Gmail, after deleting all Gmail contacts. That's not such a great option. Surely this is well-automated by now?

Iphone sync with Google holiday calendar doesn't work

I have an iphone with IOS 5.1.1 and I'm using Gmail for email, contacts, etc.
I have already synced my Google calendar with the iPhone Cal and it's working fine. I'm trying now to sync the Google holidays calendars with he iPhone, and it's not working. The holiday calendar appears in the list checked , but the holiday itself doesn't appear in the calendar (June 7th is holiday, and it appears in the web and in the iCal in the MAC). I've done the same procedures for my iPad and it worked... The same happens with the birthdays calendar... Any help?

Ios 7 calendar failing to sync with google

I updated to ios 7 and now getting strange results in calendar
Events I create on google calendar on pc show up on my phone, but updates are slow
Events I delete on my phone delete on pc google calendar fairly instantly
Events I create on Siri or in the Calendar native app however will not appear on my pc. They never seem to sync with google calendar. They do appear on my phone until there is a change to my google calendar at which time they disappear on my phone. Creating any event on the pc will destroy phone created events.
I was getting 2 way sync on ios 6 and am confident that I have my calendar settings correct.

I have the same issue. Does not sync from iPhone 5 or iPod Touch 5th generation to Google Calendar.
What's interesing is that it does work on my iPad mini - must be something different in the builds between the iPhone and iPad.
Is there a place to submit bugs to Apple on IOS7 ?

IPhone will no longer sync with Google calendar

3 days ago my IPhone 4 stopped syncing with Google Calendar. I'm not aware of making any changes. I've done homework & and followed these steps:
-- Synced with ITunes: not syncing with ICloud; not syncing calendar
-- redone the Google Mobile setup procedure for my IPhone
-- limited my IPhone Calendar choices to only Google, i.e nothing checked for "All on my IPhone"
-- Set the time zone to Houston
Nothing doing. There are other folks with this problem, but 1 or more of the above worked for them...
Any ideas? I sure appreciate any help.

After installing iPhone 3.0 and iTunes 8.2 several weeks ago, my Outlook calendar sync stopped working. I have tried every hint or trick I could find to no avail. The iTunes SW never reports errors, and I cannot determine just where the SW problem exists. I have cleared my iPhone contents and performed a restore/reset from iTunes. I re-installed iTunes several times, including the latest version (8.2.1.6) today, but nothing works. I spoke with an Apple Expert with no success; pleasant and empathetic, but with no troubleshooting skills. He suggested a replacement iPhone, which makes little sense to me.
I have a colleague at work whose Outlook calendar sync also stopped working after installing the latest SW. Does anyone have insight in this situation?

Address Book sync with Google

I updated my system software to 10.6.4 when the upgrade was released recently and have run into a strange glitch. My Address Book had been set up to sync with Google (in Preferences>Accounts) in previous versions of the software, and it worked without a hitch. After the system software upgrade, however, the sync no longer works. When I check the box next to 'Synchronize with Google', update an address, and then quit, the Address Book forgets the preference and unchecks the box. The result is that when I restart Address Book and go to the preferences, the Google sync box is unchecked.
I've searched around various help forums looking for a fix to this, but have yet to find any workaround.

Address Book Sync with Google Contacts across computers (instead of iCloud with Lion)?

I am trying to get ready for the port to iCloud and i am going to do this while still on Snow Leopard per Roger Wilmut's fantastic documentation. It appear to me I will simply lose Bookmark Sync (until I move to Mountail Lion) which is a small(ish) price to pay to not have to deal with an upgrade at the moment.
The question I am hoping to answer is if it will be possible to SYNC MY CONTACTS across my devices (MacBookPro, MacPro and iPhone) using the Sync with Google Contacts Option in Address Book Preferences.
Does anyone know if checking this option will put these contacts on both of my Machines and on my iPhone?
ALSO, does anyone know if it is possible to put the ADDRESS BOOK CONTACTS in one folder and the GOOGLE CONTACTS in another folder so they don't all get mixed up together?

Thanks Meg, this works, at least in part. Now the Contacts app populated, but only with 99 contacts, hardly all of them. Do you know how to get all my Google contacts to sync?
Also, should I delete the Gmail account I had previously set up on the iPad now that I have set up as an Exchange account?
