Unable to Load Preflight Profiles

Hello Everyone,
I'm using InDesign CS4 6.0.4 running OS X 10.6.2. A friend supplied me with a preflight (they are also using 6.0.4 on 10.6.2) and I am unable to load it. I went to the Preflight Window and chose Define Profiles > Load Profile. I navigated to the profile, and it is greyed out. I tried changing the dropdown menu from 'All Readable Documents' to 'All Documents' and it remains greyed out. I then tried exporting one of my preflight profiles and the same thing happened with that.
I've tried trashing my preferences, and that didn't help the problem as well. I tried placing the profile into /Applications/Adobe InDesign CS4/Scripts/Preflight and that didn't help either. Any clues as to how to get preflight profiles to be able to be loaded would be much appreciated.

I experience exactly the same problem in CS5.
It is not even possible to reimport profiles that have been exported on the same machine by InDesign itself.
Repairing file permissions, as well as assigning global rwx-rights to the profiles didn’t help. All profiles still only show up inactive and cannot even be selected.
I’d appreciate any help regarding this problem.

Unable to load .icc profiles

Whenever I try to choose profiles to add to the softproof popup, LR crashes.

The ImagePrint profiles that I've seen don't conform to the ICC spec so are crashing LR. The crashes should get sorted, but the fix in the meantime is to run them through a Mac's ColorSync Utility repair. If you'd like to email me ( [email protected] ) the profiles, I'd be happy to do so and see if we can get them working for you.

Unable to load icm printer profiles in Lightroom 5

I am unable to access correctly loaded RGB printer profiles in Lightroom 5.
In the print module when color management profile "Other" is selected no loaded profiles appear; and Lightroom usually freezes.
Using Photoshop v6 on same computer I can access all loaded printer profiles. I have reloaded LR5.
Does anyone have a solution or work-around for this problem?

The "Include Display Profiles" checkbox is at the bottom of the list that comes up if you click "Other..." in the Lightroom Print Job panel. If this is the point where Lightroom freezes you won't get to it of course. So then the question is what prevents Lightroom from loading that list? Maybe someone else has suggestions, so hang on for a while.
Anyway, whatever the extension, the point is that the profile in question has to be the correct one for that particular printer/paper/ink combination. Apologies if this is stating the obvious, but you don't really have a choice between several, you just pick the right one. They install with the printer driver and are named for instance "Epson <model> Premium Semigloss" and so on, different profiles for different paper types.
Or you can make your own profiles. I believe the ColorMunki, for one, lets you create printer profiles as well as monitor profiles.

Open project was canceled or RoboHelp was unable to load database

I have Robohelp 2002r2 and am creating Robohelp HTML help.
The project was ok yesterday but today when I try to open it I get
the error message "Open project was canceled or RoboHelp was unable
to load database". I tried the solutions in the knowledgebase
(rb_3245) but still no luck. I can't even create a new project
either or I get the same message. Anybody know what to
do????

The message is usually easily dealt with. I haven't checked
the article as you didn't include a link but I'm guessing it
involved deleting a couple of files and then using the HHP file to
open the project.
What is more worrying is that you cannot create a new
project.
Have you tried opening one of the supplied sample files?
Are your projects stored locally and not on a network?
Have IT given you a new profile to log on with?
Has anything else changed in your environment?

Project Error: Open project was canceled or RoboHelp was unable to load database

Hi,
I checked an HTMLHelp project out of SourceOff Site (SOS),
then attempted to open it locally with RoboHelp 5 when I got the
error message: "Open project was cancelled or RoboHelp was unable
to load database."
I found the TechNote for this error message (rb_3245) which
said to delete the .xpj and .cpd files, then right-click the HHP
file and click Edit to open the project. This worked fine for
opening the project, however the Primary Layout Source defaulted to
WebHelp. I reset the Primary Layout Source to HTMLHelp which caused
all of the graphics in the project to not display. I fixed this
issue, compiled the Help, and all appeared to be fixed. I checked
the project back into SOS to back it up. This morning, I checked it
out of SOS and tried to open the project locally again, only to get
the same error. I closed the project, undid the check-out, and
asked another writer to check-out the project then open it locally
to see if he got the same error. He did not get the error.
I am not sure what could be wrong on my computer that is
causing this error. I had no problems opening and using this
project until yesterday and I made no file name or path changes to
the project. Any ideas on what may be wrong?

Unable to load new information from configuration file /var/ldap/ldap_clien

Hi all,
When I run the command "ldapclient init", I got the error message:
# ldapclient init -a proxyDN=cn=proxyagent,ou=profile,dc=example,dc=ca -a domainName=example.ca -a profileName=UserProfile -a proxyPassword=pwd 10.1.10.50
Unable to load new information from configuration file '/var/ldap/ldap_client_file' ('Unable to open filename '/var/ldap/ldap_client_file' for reading (errno=2).').

Does the profile UserProfile exist on your LDAP server?
Do the logs on your LDAP server show access problems?
Try using -v to get more verbose output

Unable to load XDB library

Hi, i have just created a new database but i keep getting the following error
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [unable to load XDB library],
initializing SGA: sga_pass1Dynamic link error: Could not load module /u03/app/or
acle/product/10.2.0.5/lib32/libxdb.so.
The module has an invalid magic number.
None of the other databases that have been running on the machine give out this error.
I am running oracle 10.2 on aix
I have read it may be something to do with it being 64 bit libraries. Even though none of the other DB's gave out any errors I have changed the setting in the user profile removing any mention of lib32 so they now read
PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/bin:$ORACLE_HOME/lib:$ORACLE_HOME/lib
LIBPATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib
export LIBPATH
Ive shutdown the box, restarted the databases but the error occurs

It seems you have started the database with worng LIB settings, there are some steps provided to resolve this in the document
On AIX there is special step for it and that should resolve your issue.

Unable to load DB2 library

Hi,
We are trying to install an application server on Windows in a UNIX SAP
(abap+java) system with SAPinst.Our Central instance is in DB2/AIX
platform and we want to install an windows application server.
An error occured while processing start dialog instance task. Following

[Solved] Problem with Xorg, unable to load the right keymap

Hi, people,
I recently installed arch on a desktop, but there is a problem installing X: for whatever reason, Xorg seems unable to load the correct keymap (fr-latin9) and instead, loads the default one.

The error appear to be where it says

This file (server-0.xkm) actually does not exist on the system, BUT: it also does not exist on my others Arch installations and it works fine, without errors.

My internet is fine: all other apps that do not rely on the Game Center work, as does my browser and other online functions; additionally, a friend's iPhone connects to his Game Center perfectly while he is sitting next to me.

This issue has gone on for more than a month, and so the phone has gone through all variations of "turn it off then back on again, refresh the system, etc etc" that are the basic first suggestions for trouble shooting.
One game app, which required a Game Center profile to launch, stopped working entirely, and would return a message saying something like "connect to the Game Center". I eventually deleted it to free up space. Other games which can be linked to the Game Center to connect with friends simply fail to link, returning "Game Center unavailable". This is the aspect that is currently bothering me the most: I cannot play games with friends unless the app can also link to Facebook and connect to friends from there.
When I open the Game Center, I see the following screen. The bubbles float gently, and it seems as if I had the ability to update my "status". However doing so results in a message that has vanished once the app is reopened.
Upon tapping Games, either the bubble from the main screen or the option on the ribbon at the bottom, the following screen appears. Clicking on Challenges shows a message that achievements must be viewed to issue a challenge. Clicking achievements results in a message that games must be connected (and from my friend's phone I know I have several apps that should appear).
Upon tapping friends, it does show me a list of suggested friends pulled from Facebook, but attempting to send a friend request results in the following screen. After accepting the error box, the "send" button for the request is grayed out and unavailable regardless of adding or deleting friends and/or an accompanying message.
In short, the Game Center is completely unresponsive for no discernible reason, and this problem began with no warning and is now long term. Though my iPhone is older (a 4s), my friend's is even older (a regular 4) and works fine.

I am having the very same problem on my iPad running ios 7. All is fine on my iPhone it opens no problem - this is running on ios 8. I wish they would fix it.

HT1937 iPhone 4 display "unable to load network list"

I have a iPhone 4 from Singapore and it was working perfectly fine. I came to US few days ago and get a SIM card from T-mobile. My phone can't seems to detect any network with the new SIM card. I went down to T-mobile and they replace a new SIM for me but the problem still persist. The top left corner of the phone display "No service", then I went into Settings>Carrier I tried to turn off the automatic Network selection and a prompt "Unable to load network list" appear, after I select "OK" the automatic setting switch back to ON.
I look around on this site and tried a few recommendation, none work so far. Things I tried:
- Restore to the phone via iTunes and restore back up
- Restore to the phone via iTunes and set up as new phone
- Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- Switched off the phone and connect to my laptop with iTunes already running
- With my phone connected to iTunes, I switched it off and on
My wifi connection is fine, and I tested my SIM card in my friend's phone it works fine too.
My phone profiles under About:
- Network: Not available
- Version: 5.1.1 (9B208)
- Carrier: Carrier 12.0
- Modem Firmware: 04.12.01
Anyone can give me advices on how to get my network connection back?

PS: I had never jailbreak my phone before.

I would try reseating the SIM and if that does not work, replace the SIM.

Unable to load performance pack using JRockit 26.3 on Solaris 10

I'm getting the following error when starting up my WebLogic 9.1 server instance on Solaris 10. I've recently upgraded from Sun's JVM to JRockit 26.3. I do not get this error when using Sun's JVM.

JRockit on Solaris is 64-bit so it needs the 64-bit performance pack files, so you need to have $WL_HOME/server/native/solaris/sparc64 in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH instead of $WL_HOME/server/native/solaris/sparc

Acrobat XI droplets not working in Acrobat DC and Preflight profiles gone

I can't find any of the custom preflight profiles from Acrobat XI in the newly installed Acrobat DC. Are they gone (deleted)?
I expected them to be upgraded... not to be removed without any notice.
Also preflight droplets no longer work. Dragging and dropping a file on a droplet made in Acrobat XI: it seems to load for 5 seconds, but nothing happens.
Should I tell our customers to keep Acrobat XI, and not upgrade to DC, or is there an easy way to upgrade Acrobat IX droplets (and preferably also keep any profiles)?
This is on Windows, I've not tested on mac.

Hi Andreas,
As co-existence of A11 and ADC on the same system is not supported so its not expected for the older droplets to work with the newer version.
I checked with Acrobat 10 created droplets with Acrobat 11 and wasn't able to make it work either.

(CS4) (AS) Syntax for assigning existing Preflight Profile

Building an AppleScript workflow to tie a FileMaker database to IDCS4, using Triple Triangle's Job Spec Cubed. Very fun.
I'd like to add a tell statement to assign existing Preflight Profiles to existing documents. We have four standard preflight profiles, named "72", "150", "200", "300" and "360". I know the syntax to load the profiles from an external source, but I'm stumped on how to assign them then embed them.

Thunderbird builds summary everytime and unable to load address book abook.mab?

Hello,
I'm using TB from years but now first time I'm facing this problem with TB. When I open TB it starts building summary file for few folders and during startup I also get address book message: Unable to load address book file abook.mab locked by another application etc.
Yesterday I have deleted all MSF files in every folder of my default profile folder and it worked yesterday but today again this problem occurs. I can't see any address book loaded in address book page, white blank page.

To diagnose problems with Thunderbird, try one of the following:
