Unable to open D3 NEF in CS3 (Mac) and CS2 (Win)
I have installed the latest Camera Raw Update file (Mac OSX 10.5.3), but when I try to open a nef-file that was taken with my Nikon D3, CS3 complains about an invalid file type - ??? Opening the same file in Nikon NX works without a problem. A friend of mine who still works with CS 2 on Windows XP (incl. Camera Raw 3.7) has the same problem.
Any idea? Since Nikon NX is opening the file the problem can't come from the camera, right? I apreciate every tip! Thanks in advance.
To answer the first question (from the first message), take a look at the installation instructions and make sure you have placed the plug-in in the exact folder. There is a user folder and a main (?) Folder that are named very similarly, and you must put the plug-in in the right one or it won't work. I apologize, but I have never used by Mac computer so my terminology may not be exactly right.
As far as the second question is concerned, I don't believe the Nikon D60 was supported until after CS3 was released. Ongoing support for Camera Raw is only provided for the current version of Photoshop. Photoshop CS2 might not be very old from your point of view, but in software it is practically ancient history.
The last version of Camera Raw that would work with Photoshop CS2 is version 3.7. If your camera is not supported in that version then you will either have to upgrade your version of Photoshop or else you can use the most current version of the DNG converter to convert your raw files to DNG files. Those can be opened in Photoshop CS2/Camera Raw 3.7.

Hi can any body please tell me how to open the .exe files in mac and why it is not supported with unarchiever app , also i am not able to run and dvd's in my mac its not accepting any cd's or dvd'd why? do i need to do some pre defined settings to run the cd's and dvd's ?
A .exe file is a Windows executable. OS X does not run Windows programs. If you need to use .exe files then you will need to install Windows on your Mac:
Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
Install the Apple Boot Camp software. Purchase Windows XP w/Service Pak2, Vista, or Windows 7. Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows. Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7. Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
VM Fusionand Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7. VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows. The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris. It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc. There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization. The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. See MacTech.com's Virtualization Benchmarking for comparisons of Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Fusion. Boot Camp is only available with Leopard or Snow Leopard. Except for Crossover and a couple of similar alternatives like DarWine you must have a valid installer disc for Windows.
You must also have an internal optical drive for installing Windows. Windows cannot be installed from an external optical drive. -
I opened i Tunes on my mac and while i see the songs in some of my playlists they will not play. The computer says the song could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it? When i do it won't play.
You will need to locate where you itunes library is and then relink one of the songs, itunes will do the rest. So if your itunes library is on an external hard drive or something like that. When you get the error message click yes you would like to locate it. then navigate to the external hard drive where the itunes libray is and locate that particular song. Once you have linked one, itunes will ask if you would like it to locate the rest, click yes and it will find the rest of the files if they are in the same location.

The network on my airport express works, have wifi on the ipods,etc. But when I open airport utility on my mac and on the iphone nothing exists. Why?
Reboot the modem. Just pull the power for a few seconds. No settings are lost. The laptop getting through to the internet is not relevent.

I am running Windows 8 and am unable to open .epub books downloaded from Barnes and Noble. Keep Getting "Incorrect Unlock Code" message. B&N help is useless. Any ideas?
the user name is not the B&N username, but the name on the billing address. And the credit card number used for the purchase is the unlock code.

The 20 meg message is the download limit for 3G. If you can't get rid of the 'OK' message then you can do a reset by pressing and holding both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
You should be able to download the apps by switching to wifi on your iPad or downloading them on your computer's iTunes and syncing them or dragging and dropping them over to the iPad device. -
Unable to open printer (read failure)! mac lion
I downloaded the new Lion software recently and since doing so I have not been able to print. When I print to my Canon MX700 it come up with :Unable to open printer (read failure)!
I have reset as I found thru other posts, downloaded th current driver/software info from the printer website and connected the mac book pro directly to the usb port versus thru my airport which has worked great for many years. What is it with this new lion software and printing??I, too am having problems printing after updating to 10.6.8. I have a wireless HP D110 that works fine but lost connectivity to my Epson Stylus Pro7600. I used to get an error message or that plotter is busy, so I followed instructions to remove printer and reinstall...Now my iMac can't find the driver even though I've reinstalled it. Anyone out there have any luck?

Unable to open pdf files using Internet Explorer and Adobe 9.1
We are unable to open any/all pdf files in Internet Explorer 6 or 7 using Adobe Reader 9.1 on Windows XP SP2.
The error message is that IE has a problem and sorry for the inconvenience.
Clicking "OK" closes IE.
We did not have any issue with Adobe Reader 8.1.
What we did to date:
1. Uninstall Adobe Reader 9.1
2. Run Windows Clean Utility to remove any remnant of Adobe Reader 8
3. Re-install Adobe Reader 9.1
Any other suggestions?
Need to have this upgrade.I'm having a similar issue. Prior to upgrading to Acrobat 9.1 I was able to view PDFs from IE 6. No longer. Instead I get a message: "Error opening document. File cannot be found."

Do the following:
