Unable to open xl reporter

hi all,
i have installed the xl reporter successfully and from the tools menu(SBO) i opened the xl reporter.when i clicked the xl reporter, "Run-time error '0' " was displayed. Moreover in the SBO window it displayed the error message as " unable to start xl reporter object variable or with block variable not set "

This is because the old stand-alone version of XL Reporter previously has been installed on the company database you are trying to use. and onceagain Uninstall then Install XL Report Add on.
Solution :
Start the Enterprise Manager from the Microsoft SQL Server program folder on your Start menu. Browse down to your Business One database, expand and choose tables. Right-click the table called ixtdbversion and choose Open table -> Return all rows. In the column 'Partner' change the text from SAP to SBOOEM and press Enter. Close the Enterprise Manager and start the add-on. The XL Reporter information in the database should now be upgraded.
check the version of the dlls required by the DI AP.

Open doc URL: unable to open the report in same window

I'm trying to open a report using open doc url with "swindow=same" but still it opens in a separate window. This happens only when I use JAVA viewer. it works fine in ActiveX and HTML but I want this in JAVA viewer as i'm including this page in my JAVA application and it should open the report in the same window. I tried using "<a>URL</a>" and also target="_self" by HTML interpretation for that object but still the same problem. I'm unable to open the report in the same window by using JAVA viewer for Crystal Reports in info view. Please help me!!!
Envirorment Details: Crystal Reports 2008 SP3, BOE XI R3 SP3

I have tested that myself and It seems that HTML interpretation does not work with the Java viewer.
I have also tried using a hyperlink containing javascript
eg.
javascript:window.location.href='http://www.sap.com'
but the java viewer seems always to launch a new window before processing the command.
I would recommend to open a case by SAP support ( httP://service.sap.com/support )

Unable to open a report in BI Launchpad.

Hi Guys,
I am unable to open a report in BI Launchpad, but i am able to access the report in RichClient. It's popping with the following error while i am opening the report in BI Launchpad.
While there is no problem in opening other reports with the same universe.i tried by checking the connectivity with the database and objects associated while building the report.

Thanks for your concern, i tried using this process also, but has'nt worked.
By the way i got the issue solved,After a long research i got to know that the issue was with the date function.
As we are migrating from 3.X to 4.X, there is a change in date function, we need to change this as shown below..
first is the 3.X and the preceding is the 4.x. by making these changes in the formula we are able to open the report in BI Launchpad as well with rich-client also..

Unable to open XML report in Oracle EBS r12

Hi,
I have new installation of Oracle EBS r12 (12.1.1) on linux.
To test the XML report, I changed the output of standard report 'Active Users' from 'Text' to 'XML' and defined the data definition and template for this report.
I am unable to see the output for XML reports. The report completes without error, however I cannot open the output file.
The browser opens for fraction of a second and then closes down. My client machine is Windows 7 and I used Microsoft words 2010 to build template
I used the 5.7.201 version of BI publisher to create the rtf template.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

Unable to open webi report WIS 30912

After reinstalling the BO XI 3.1 server we are unable to open the previously created WebI documents. When we try to open such a document we get the following message :
The document has been locked by the user 'BODWH' on the following cluster : '@CDMSCOXP.localwan.net:6400'. You cannot open this document on the current cluster. To open the document, log on the correct cluster as the correct user and save the document unsecured. If the cluster is not reachable, try to connect to the following system : '@CDMSCOXP.localwan.net:6400'. If this system is not reachable or not online, try the previous offline session with the connection 'cdmscoxp_6400 (Offline - 04/09/2008 09:03:2'. (WIS 30912)
Any idea how this can be resolved ?

Thanks for the fast reply.
Is it posible to turn off the security setting for the webi reports? The webi reports is created before the reinstallation, and after the reinstallation process the cluster name is changed, and the report is not able to open as shown for now.
Is it posible we change 1 of our development server cluster and entering into the webi and change the security setting since the server influence is the production server and the cluster name is fix for now.

Unable to open the reports as url using web.show_document

Hi experts,
I am trying the access the oracle reports from oracle forms. my forms is running at port 9001 and my report is configured at port 9002.
While trying to open the report using web.show_document(), the web page opens with port 9001 and returns 404 error. But when i change the port number to 9002 in the url it opens the report sucessfully.

Unable To Open Financial Reporting Reports In PDF In EPM Workspace in 11.1.2.2

Hi All,
We have FR 11.1.2.2 running on AIX and we recently apply a patch 11.1.2.2.303 to this FR 11.1.2.2. As a pre-req we have also apply the patches for HSS and workspace. Now after applying the patch we cannot open the reports in PDF mode in workspace however we can open the reports in HTML mode.
Can anyone help on this!!!

Hi,
Create a folder named Temp in the root of C: (to match the xdo.cfg file).
- OR -
Edit the path reference in the xdo.cfg file with a valid directory.
- OR -
Remove the applicable line entry from xdo.cfg file:
1. Navigate to the applicable path (the default is Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\financialreporting\lib\FOProcessor).
2. Open the xdo.cfg file in a text editor.
3. Remove the following line then save the file:
<property name="system-temp-dir">c:\temp</property>
4. Execute the FR reports in workspace with PDF preview to validate the results.
Note: Save a backup copy of xdo.cfg before modifying it.

try the following instead:
ReportClientDocument myDoc = new ReportClientDocument();
myDoc.setReportAppServer("AGIRC-DEMO");
myDoc.open("rassdk://D:
Document8.rpt",OpenReportOptions._openAsReadOnly);
Also make sure that on RAS command you have added: -ipport "1566" -reportdirectory "D:/"
Please note:
1. Don't need to use ReportApSession class
2. what do you use Document8.rep, you cannot open a Deski document with RAS. RAS can be used only with crystal reports.

OBIEE 10G - unable to open a report

Hello All,
I am getting the below error when I am trying to open a report which is saved using apostrophe(') in the name of the report, for example my report name looks like Vendor's list. Every thing was good while i was developing the report, saved it using an apostrophe, but now when i am trying to open the report i get below error, i tried using IE, Mozilla but in vain.
Version - 10.1.3.4
Due to the presence of characters known to be used in Cross Site Scripting attacks, access is forbidden. This web site does not allow Urls which might include embedded HTML tags.
Can any one please let me know how to overcome this issue.

Maybe you have to replace the 'apostrophe' with it's URL-encoding equivalent; %27 (http://www.w3schools.com/TAGS/ref_urlencode.asp)
Or you could add the HardenXSS element to the instance config --> http://gerardnico.com/wiki/dat/obiee/hardenxss

Unable to Open Bex report from SAP APO User Menu

Hi All,
I am an SAP APO consultant, and have not miuch expereice in BEx reporting. As APO uses Build in BI for reporting and pulling history from either external BW or R/3.
Now my issue all BEx reports we use are assigned ot my user menu and when I select a report, I would expect report to open but an excel sheet opens and closes and nothing happens. However I am able to open this reports from my desktop menu selecting Business explorer and Analyzer and linking my SAP system. I use Excel 2007 , Is this some compactibilty issue or is there anything I need to do?

There's a couple of possible root cause why you dont see properly the Bex Report.
Can you share to me the APO version and the BW software component being used?
In case this is still in the 3.x, 4.x APO, I think, a separate BW add on is needed for you to run your BEx report properly. You can ask your basis team for this separate installation.
Btw, is this report working before, meaning was it pulled successfully already in the past?
Can you try doing this again in a separate workstation, as the BW add on is installed separately per workstation.
Its possible that this is also an auth issue that the user you are using is not capable enough to run BEx.
As of now, I have not encountered any Bex issue that is related with the Excel version, I have tried running Bex in Excel 2007 no issue also. I think it maybe more related with the OS you are using, if its in Vista already what I know is you need to add your excel as a trusted document before you can run bex fro Vista.
Let me think of other possibilities.

Unable to open a report in FR

hi there , i am working in planning 9.3 and i have created a new user
i have assigned two existing groups with which the other users log in the system , now i am able to login the work sapce but i am not able to open the report , it shows an error
Error(1051293) Login fails due to invalid login credentials
please help

I have faced this issue in 9.3.1 intermittently. Not able to find a fixed solution. But here is what you should do: --
1. When the error comes, it might open the login screen. Provide admin user/password
2. Replace the connection on report with the same connection using "Database Connection Manager". It sometimes fixes the issues.
Also, as John suggested, try refreshing security. Let us know if that fixes the problem, because this error is very frustrating.

Unable to open uploaded reports

Hi,
Iu2019m a computer science trainee in a enterprise. They tried to install Crystal reports server 2008 on one of the main servers, it looks like everything is fine but when you try to open a sample file or their own file with the CMC it says:
An unexpected error has occurred. The exception originally thrown was: Unable to find servers in CMS "insertnamehere":6400 and cluster "insertnamehere":6400 with kind fileserver and service FileStoreV2. All such servers could be down or disabled by the administrator. (FWM 01014)
The diagnostic tools results are as follow:
Log On/Off: Pass
Infoview Test: Fail
Web Intelligence Tier: Fail
Crystal Reports Tier: Fail
Stop/Start Servers: Pass
In the CMC server page, all of the servers are running but only Central Management Server and Web Application Container Server are enabled and if I try to enable any other one, they don't switch to enabled.
The guy who installed it thinks it's related to the server having 2 network cards.
I have to solve the problem but I am out of ideas on how to make it works. Iu2019d like it if you could write me tips on how to make it works or at least test I could try please.

I wanted to give you an update,
You were right, the guy who installed to software used a evaluation key which expired in december, but Crystal reports server in french wasn't telling me it was an evaluation key, and it didn't tell me the expiration date either so I couldn't guess only I switched it in english.

Unable to open Webi report in edit mode

Hi All,
While i am trying to open a web intelligence report in "Modify" mode, its throwing an error "The document cannot be created or opened. The error code is: FILE NOT FOUND."
Please let me know how to retrieve the report as i am not having a back up of the reports.

Hi Akhil,
Generally if the "Preferences" you have set in InfoView for Creating/Modifying webi documents is Desktop, then this error is thrown.
You have 2 choices:
01. Change the preferences to "Web" and try the workflow.
02. Do this workflow where WebI Rich Client is installed.
