Unable to print multiple copies of documents on Win7 machine with Office 2010

Since upgrading to Windows 7, I have been unable to print multiple copies of documents in any MS Office 2007, 2010, Word Pad or Adobe Reader 9.  I also experience the same problem if I print from Word Pad.  The issue appears to be associated with the Collate Option in the Print Dialog box.  If the Collate box is checked, I only get one copy of the document.  If I uncheck the Collate box I get as many copies as I choose.   The problem is that with the Collate box unchecked, I have to collate multiple copies by hand, and with 10 – 20 copies of multi-page documents that can be quite a chore.
The ironic thing is that MS Visio 2003, on the same machine, prints and collates as many copies as I choose, with the Collate box checked.
I can print multiple copies of Word 2003 documents from my wife’s Win XP machine to the same printer, but not from my Win 7 machine with Office 2010.
My printer is an HP LaserJet 1320nw and I have downloaded and installed the latest printer drivers from the HP Web site.
Has anyone experienced this problem, and if so, are you aware of a solution other than unchecking the Collate box?

I have the same issues with my LJ1320. I have Office 2010 and Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.   However, my printing problem is more widespread since I have been unsuccessful at printing multiple copies of all types of documents, not just from  Office 2010.  For example, I have the same problem trying to print multiple copies from  Internet Explorer.
I also have other problems printing  from Office 2010 that you may not have discovered yet.  I cannot print Excel spreadsheet grid lines from Office 2010 if those documents were originally created in an earlier version of Office.  I tried saving them as Office 2010 documents and also using compatibility mode but nothing worked.  These same documents print fine on the same printer from my laptop which uses Windows Vista and Office 2007.  Also Excel spreadsheets originated in Office 2010 print nicely.
Looks like HP has a few bugs in their printer drivers.
I note that HP released a new Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL5x64 on Feb 18, 2011 (Version 5.2.6).  Have you tried it yet?

    Either selecting 10 copies of the same document or selecting 10 copies of a range it will only print 1 copy and it takes forever to print.
    I have updated all of the drives and installed the latest version of adobe reader, and still the same problem.
    Tried to contact adobe direct and got told to go away we will not help you unless you pay us to?!!

  • Unable to print multiple copies of PDF using reader X with new Windows 7 computer

    I recently upgraded to a new Windows 7 computer.  Now when I try to print a PDF I can only print one copy.  I have checked that my Mopier Mode is enabled and have tried everything I can think of.  Why could I print multiple copies with Windows XP but can't with Windows 7?

    How does that manifest itself:
    you cannot change the number of copies on the Print panel?
    you can change the number of copies, but it prints only one?

  • Unable to print multiple copies in Acrobat Pro

    I am trying to print 2 copies of a 5 page PDF using Acrobat Pro 8.2.6
    When i send the PDF to print 2 or more copies it goes as 1 document of 10,15,20 pages depending on how many copies I asked for.
    It then prints page 1 of the second copy onto the back of page 5 of the first copy. not what I want!!!!
    I have updated Acrobat to the latest version, deleted my printers including the drivers but no joy.
    Any ideas?

    What OS? What printer and printer driver? What are you printer driver settings?
    If you have an odd number of pages in your document, you might consider adding an intentionally blank page. If your printer will not print an intentionally blank page, print a page with white text on a white background.

  • Unable to print multiple copies of a PDF

    I am running Adobe Reader X version 10.1.3 on a MacBook Pro with Mac OSX 10.7.
    For some reason I can only print one copy of a PDF at a time, even if I set the number of copies in the print dialogue box and the Printer dialogue box.
    Help!  It's very frustrating!
    Thanks

    Hello there,
    Is it with a particular PDF (eg protected) or any PDF you open? Have you checked your printer settings and check the documents are being proccessed on your computer as opposed to being sent to your printer to be proccessed.
    Hope this helps

  • Printing multiple copies of output for A template with different page Heade

    Hi Vetri,
    I am trying for a similar requirement as explained in the link below
    http://winrichman.blogspot.com/2008/09/multiple-invoice-copy.html
    I am facing two problems with 80% of the work done.
    I mailed the template and xml to your id.
    Please help in solving the problem
    Best Regards,
    Mahi

    I found the issue with my report. I gave the syntax wrong when ending for-each for group. Using Variables no longer gives error and the issue is resolved with syntax as below.
    Header Information
    <?for-each-group@section: /yyy/LIST_G_xxx/xxx; COPIES?>
    <?variable@incontext:G1;current-group()?>
    <?for-each@section:xdoxslt:foreach_number($_XDOCTX,1,current-group()/COPIES,1)?>
    <?end for-each?>
    <?end for-each-group?>
    <?start:body?>
    Here goes the body
    <?start:last-page:body?> <?end body?>
    I inserted a page break here through word tools
    Here goes special instructions which only prints on last page
    <?end body?>
    But... I am still working on a related issue to print the Copy Number on the Header. For example if the Copy being printed is 1 it should print Set#1 on header, for 2nd Copy Set#2 and etc.
    I saw in some post that the variable can not be used out of Loop. Can someone help how to accomplish this.
    TIA

  • Unable to access web setup from 4 different Win7 machines with IE9 / FireFox

    I Hope someone can help, I suspect this may have something to do with a recent update to Windows or IE since this worked at least a couple of months ago.
    I'm unable to access the  web setup screen from 4 different windows machines running IE 9 or Firefox (various combinations of wireless, wired, etc.). When I get to the certificate error and hit the "yes, i understand, continue", it comes back with a 'can't be reached' page and looking into the details says the 'connection was dropped'.  However If I connect from a MacBook / safari, I'm able to reach the page fine (and admin the router).
    Summary:
    Using a wrt610n
    I am connected to the router, the ip address hasn't changed, the password hasn't changed
    I can use the router & connect to the internet
    I have the router set to require HTTPS, but switching it to allow HTTP doesn't help.
    Both Wired & Wireless Win 7 / IE9 machines can't connect.
    Tried setting the router ip address to 'trusted' zone in IE
    Tried setting the router ip address to the 'compatibility' mode in IE
    Tried using latest version of Firefox with the same results.
    Thanks in Advance!
    Stephen

    Before I suggest you any troubleshooting steps, I would like to ask few question. Like did you try opening the “https://192.168.1.1” in Internet Explorer 8. If not, then try to open the Router Management page in the same manner in Internet Explorer 8 and check whether it opens or not. As it should show up.

  • Cp1215 doesn't print multiple copies

    After a Windows update on my Window 7 64-bit Home Premium desktop, I am unable to print more than one copy of any document at a time from any software or web app using my cp1215.  I use the printer to print for my classroom (eg 20+ copies of one doc at a time), so I really need this.
    The problem began in March, and will resolve if I roll back the Windows update. There are about 50 individual update items, so I have no clue how to isolate this. I have tried uninstalling the printer before using Windows update and doing a complete reinstall with the latest drivers (4/13) with no luck.
    Any idea how to solve this? I don't want to go too long without keeping up with Windows security updates. Thanks!
    This question was solved.

    OK, I updated in groups of five to see if I could isolate which updates might have messed up the printer. It appears be two of the "Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 for X64." (KB2600217, KB2656351)
    So, the bulk of the Windows Updates are completed and I can still print multiple copies. At this point, though, neither of the updates above will install (they say they install, but they appear again in the update list after a reboot), so I can't be sure. I'm pretty sure they installed each time I did a bulk install.
    Right now, I can print multiple copies and I am only missing two updates. Just to be complete, I ran the HP Print & Scan Doctor, and it reports that everything is fine with the printer.

  • Unable to print multiple line items in Z-SAP SCRIPT

    Hi ALL,
    We have a scenario where in we are calling the Driver program (RFKORD50) for Document Extract(F.64), Where in we have attached the Z-Script to the program(RFKORD50),
    Unable to print multiple items.
    1) Checked with all the elements in STD program for printing multiple items in main window but unable to get all the items we are able to fetch only 1 item .
    (&BSEG-BUZEI&,,     &BSEG-SGTXT&,,,,&BSEG-DMBTR&)
    2) I have also tried with external subroutine but it also didnot work.it is fetching the latest value.
    Ex: if we have 3 items say 1,2,3 first 2 items are not getting fetched it is taking 3rd item and printing it straight away(Problem is it is not going to script for fetching the first item).
    see the perform which i have used
    /: PERFORM ITEMS IN PROGRAM ZTFI_ZNV20296
    /:USING &BSEG-BUKRS&
    /:USING &BKPF-BELNR&
    /:USING &BSEG-GJAHR&
    /:CHANGING &V_BUZEI&
    /:CHANGING &V_SGTXT&
    /:CHANGING &V_DMBTR&
    /: ENDPERFORM
    IL  &V_BUZEI&,,     &V_SGTXT&,,,,&V_DMBTR&
    Please suggest me whetther we can call write_form from external subroutine. or is there any loop commands in SAP SCRIPT Form.
    Regards,
    Jana

    Hi!
    The LOOP is always within the printer program. In this case also.
    Just check out the RFKORI35 include, the LOOP begins in the 215th line (in 4.6C).
    SORT HBSEG BY BUKRS SORTP1 SORTP2 SORTP3 SORTP4 SORTP5
                          BELNR GJAHR BUZEI.
            LOOP AT HBSEG.
    *         WHERE BUKRS = SAVE_BUKRS.
              SAVE_BUKRS  = HBSEG-BUKRS.
              IF  ( HBSEG-KUNNR = SAVE_KUNNR
              AND   NOT SAVE_KUNNR IS INITIAL )
              OR  ( HBSEG-LIFNR = SAVE_LIFNR
              AND   NOT SAVE_LIFNR IS INITIAL ).
                CLEAR RF140-ELEMENT.
                RF140-ELEMENT = '521'.
                CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_FORM'
                         EXPORTING  WINDOW    = 'MAIN'
                                    ELEMENT   = '521'
                         EXCEPTIONS WINDOW    = 1
                                    ELEMENT   = 2.
    You might try out to write your code within the 521 elemnt in the sapscript.

  • How to print multiple copies on one page ?

    How to print multiple copies of one document on one page ?
    in coreldraw I used to make the document -for example a business card 5x9 - and when sending to print it automatically placed the number of cards that would fit in my A4 sheet.
    how do I make the same operation in Indesign.
    thanks

    Hi, Peter S.
    >I can see that as a shortcut to printing a page of different cards for multiple people, but to do a simple n-up of a single card it seems overly complex to me. What am I missing?
    * It's just an alternative to copy/paste and step/repeat.
    * For a one-time only use, perhaps it's a little more complex than necessary. But for any future needs, only the content of the data file needs to be changed, either by editing, or by pointing to a new data file. If different cards for multiple people becomes necessary, it's ready to go.

  • Laserjet 5000 with windows 7 driver cannot print multiple copies unless disabling mopier

    Customer has Laserjet 5000 that they have been using for approx 5 years. It is connected to one computer with the standard parallel cable and the driver is using lpt1. It is used mainly to print word documents and a multi page publisher document. The computer used to be a windows xp computer and all  worked  well with the PCL6 driver and that is the only driver that was used
     They just bought a new Windows 7 32 bit computer and now it has lost some of the functionality.
    The first driver that was loaded was the driver that Windows 7 used after you use the windows update button that you get during the add printer wizard. I think it was the pcl 5 driver as that is the driver that the computer will install if you remove the printer and then restart the computer. Using this driver, when you choose to print more than one page or multiple copies, it will just print the first page or copy and there will not be any errors displayed.
    I have since downloaded the PCL6 driver, PS driver and PCL5 driver from HP's website and tried all of them.
    The PS driver will print more than one page, but when it gets to about the 4th page the printer prints out an error page. The error is PCL XL error, Subsystem: Kernel, Error: Unsupported protocol, Operator 0x0, Position:0
    The PCl 6 driver will print the same error page and not print any print jobs, even if it is just a single page, single copy job.
    The pcl 5 driver prints one page and then stops printing, no errors.
    When I disable the mopier under device settings, the pcl5 driver will print everything just fine. Only problem is, it will not collate. The collate checkbox is available and checked when we try the multiple page multiple copy publisher document, but it just prints out as if we do not have collate checked. If we could get collation to work, than we are good to go.
    I have not tried the PS driver with the mopier disabled.
    The PCL6 driver stills returns the pcl xl error with the mopier disabled.
    The printer does not have any extra memory, just the 4 mb standard that came with the printer. I am wondering if this is a memory issue triggered by Windows 7and I just need to get more memory for the printer. (Computer has 4 gb of memory)
    Anybody else have a similar issue and got theirs fixed?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi jnickelsen,
    I understand the printer won't print multiple copies.
    Thank you for your reply.
    I will be happy to help you with this.
    This printer doesn't have the Mopier settings.
    What drivers are you using?
    Did you download the drivers or are you using the Windows preinstalled drivers?
    If you are using the Windows preinstalled drivers then I would download the latest drivers. Here is the URL for the HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver.
    I would download and run the Print and Scan Doctor since it might resolve the issue automatically.

  • HP Laserjet 1022nw printing multiple copies

    HELP!  Ever since I purchased my new laptop with Windows 7, my LaserJet has been going crazy.  I reinstalled new drivers and used the HP diagnostic tool and it says "all is working correctly".  However, when I print a document of any size (even if just one page), the printer keeps re-printing multiple copies until the paper runs out or I turn the printer off.  I have un-installed and reinstalled several times and the same issue keeps happening.  I posted on the forum and one other person related that he had the same issue, but to this date neither of us have been able to correct it.  I love my laser jet when it works, but have resorted to using my hp photosmart 7960 instead (higher cost of ink!).  And this sucks because sometimes I have 50-100 page documents that I need to print.  Laser is so much faster.  Thanks in advance for the expert advice I know you are going to give me and the solution that I KNOW that you must have.

  • Officejet Pro 8600 will not print multiple copies

    When I first set up my HP Officejet Pro 8600 I could print multiple copies.  Not sure when, how, or why but I can no longer print more than one copy of any document at a time regardless if it is one page or 100 pages.   I tried to update the drivers but the update failed as it said it could not uninstall the printer. When I did the error reporting it said there was no solution.
    My OS is Window XP Home
    The printer is connected via network.
    I print mainly from MS Word 2010 and Adobe PDF files and I have the same issue from either program.

    Since the drivers and software refuses to update automatically, force it to. Uninstall all of the printer software and install it back using a fresh download. That will ensure that you have the latest driver and software for the printer installed and eliminate the need for updates for a while. I'll link them below. If that doesn't fix the problem with multiple documents not printing, try using an alternate driver for the printer. I'll link those instructions below. Let me know what happens.
