Well the list above shows that you have configured a pre-authorized access for the oracle user, and this is where the password check is failing. If you don't have any Windows in your OSB domain then you should remove this entry so it just shows as [none]

Hi,
Be careful, if the message is saying something like "mandatory field must be maintained" or similar (I can't remember the full text). DON'T assume that the cursor is indicating the field that is blank and should be filled.
Look for other mandatory fields on the screen (try entering data in each until the system allows ytou to continue). It won't be the planned delivery period if you have entered a value it will be another field.
It could be "standard qty" etc.

Unable to connect to wifi.. "incorrect password"

So I'm sitting here at the car dealer getting some service done and they have a sign indicating free wifi Internet service.
Nice. So I try to log on with the iPad...15 times. I think maybe I'm typing the password in wrong or they changed it so I try on the iPhone. Works the first time. I am still unable to connect...it says incorrect password.
Is this the wifi problem wveryones been talking about or am I missing something? Any suggestions?

Here's my issue... Incorrect password.onlyfix I found is a network reset...
So here's my issue... I have both a 32GB wifi, and a 64GB 3G Ipad. They both behave the same when it comes to network connections..
Here's what I have @ home... Dlink 685 router. Set up as WPA2 .. 2.4hz also set up for g&n mixed...
So here's a typical day... I use my Ipad at Starbucks..No problem with the att network. I then go to my office get onto the DIR-655 Dlink router.. WPA2 same specs as my home for settings... No issues there.... Of coarse there is the signal getting weaker but it always seems to come back. Then I get home..... I am prompted to Re-enter the password to the network and it spins for a minute then re-prompts me for the password...
Then I do a " Settings - General - Network reset" and when it reboots I enter the home network password and it connects and I am operational again...
This is a daily thing with both Ipads so I know it is a software issue. It's just a pain in the butt to re-enter all the passwords everyday, everywhere I go...
Any suggestions for a different way around the issue without a hard reset?
Also I have tried WAP, and WEP and experienced the same thing.. I have also tried N only and switched the channel from 1 to 11 all with the same results. I have also used a Linksys WRT150N and experienced the same issue with a forced network reset...
Help if you can.. Also will a daily network reset damage anything or corrupt the OS?

How can i use exisitng user data(Id, password) for user mapping

For User mapping , we can import user mapping data for many users from user administration. and for each user
we can maintain mapping data in the standard format.
eg:

uid=user2
$usermapping$:BCE:user=ext_user2
$usermapping$:BCE:mappedpassword=password
i am clear till this point.
this all works if we know the userid and passowrd on the system 'BCE'.the passwords on the system 'BCE', are encrypted . so there is no chance for me to know the passwords.
so how can i use the existed userid/passowrd on the system 'BCE' for the mapped user and mapped password on the portal while doing usermapping.

I think this should work.
1. Setup SSO with SAP logon tickets first. How to do this is described many places, e.g. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d3/41c8ecb31d11d5993800508b6b8b11/content.htm
This SSO will not work at first, because the username is different in the back-end system. So what you need to do is to get the back-end username into the ticket (don't need a password because that is done by the SAP logon ticket)
2. Create a portal component which uses the usermanagement API to create a usermapping which only consists of the username and a blank password. You can do this manually I think if you have no reference system defined.

Voila, this should allow you to do SSO using SAP logon tickets, but with another name that you use against the portal. I am uncertain if this will work if you have multiple usermappings in the sap logon ticket
PS since the sap logon ticket is issued at logon time, you need to relogon to get the changes done by the code

Unable to save info on Apps

I have been a long time user of mac, this is the first time I've come across this problem. Symptoms:
1. All my applications seem to have lost its memory of previous settings: e.g. whenever I start Skype, iTunes etc, it keeps asking me to read conditions and "Click on agree" in order to proceed, even having done it many times before.
2. My "Stickies" application refuses to save! Even though I start new notes, or edit old info, every time I close and restart my stickies, it keeps nothing and goes back to a previous "state", it seems to be stuck at a certain date, nothing from that configuration onwards gets saved!
I am sure this problem is more than it meets the eye, but these are the 2 most pressing problems.

I have not had trouble with other Apps returning to default conditions though.

Unable to save document - Read Only or Open by another user error occurs when PDF is opened from Windows Explorer

Adobe Pro XI - using Windows 7 Pro OS
When a PDF document is opened from Windows Explorer, and pages are added, deleted, notations made, any type of changes, it cannot be saved until Windows Explorer is fully closed. If you try to save the document, you receive the following error - "The document could not be saved. The file may be read-only, or another user may have it opened. Please save the document with a different name or in a differnt folder. " I have confirmed the document is not read only, it is not open by another user, and it is not open multiple times. Once you fully close Windows Explorer, and try to save the document, it saves without a problem.
Are there settings in either Adobe Pro XI or Windows that will allow you to save documents without closing Windows Explorer first?
Thank you for any assistance you can provide. This error is a frustration since I open all my documents through Windows Explorer.

Desktop went t/u, unable to save info, bought laptop and installed itunes, now when trying to sync itunes says I am conected with more than one library. I can't do anything. Please Help

Our desktop went t/u and was not able to save any music files except what is on ipods. Bought laptop and installed itunes. Was able to load music from wifes "classic" that was bought through itunes but my "itouch" w/music not purchased will not sync. Itunes says I am connected to more that one "Library" and cannot sync. Anyone else ever hear of this happening?

To make your new computer do the following:
- Transfer iTunes purchases
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
- Transfer other music by seeing:
newer copy
- Connect the iPod to the computer and made a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup.
Note that the backup does not included synced media like apps and music.

Invalid user name and password when adding a shared printer from vista

I have the following hardware in our house:
1. A Vista Ultimate
2. A Power Book G4
3. A Netgear RangeMax router
4. A Canon IP2200
The printer is attached to the vista PC by USB.
That PC is attached by ehternet to the router.
The mac is networked to the router by wireless.
Our wireless network is secured by WPA-PSK.
I have set up file and printer sharing on my vista PC and on the mac.
File sharing is working perfectly and can connect to my PC using the windows file sharing protocol (SMB).
I then decided to add my printer as a shared device. I set the printer to shared using my vista PC.
On the mac I opened:
System Preferences > print & faxes > Set Up Printers > add.
I selcted Windows Printing and then Workgroup (my vista PC is on this workgroup)
and then clicked my PC and then Choose.
I then get asked for my Windows Username and Passowrd.
After typing this in I get the follwoing message.
"Unable to connect to server with the provided password and user name.
Error: 256"
I know that my username and password are correct as I add the same printer to my friends XP laptop.
Is this a vista or mac issue or both. I really don't want to have to unplug my printer or copy the file to my PC everytime I want to print something.
I have not tried to add the printer to the mac from a XP compluter and maybe something I need to try.
Sorry for the long post but I really want to sort out this problem.
P.S I have googled for this problem and have come across a mac help forum with the exact smae problem. However no one has a solution.
I hope I can find a solution for me and others having this problem.

Why does my air keep saying incorrect password?

I have never had this problem before.
I was trying to upgrade to LION when it asked for my password, and it just kept saying incorrect password or user name, when I‘ｍ 1000% sure that's the pass I use everyday...and suddenly it just doesn't work anymore. I didn't know what to do...so just kept pressing "enter" out of desperation...and after a few tries, somehow it through!
So I thought it was a one time error, until today, I was trying to update one of my apps, and it denied my password again...
I restarted, and used the same pass to log on, and it was working...
I tried not using any pass at all, and thought that would solve the problem...however, this time, when i "log off" and trying to press enter to log on again...it kept asking for a password this time...
I have no idea what's going on...please help.

Hi everyone I running apex 4.2 against oracle 12c database.
I have imported an application and install it into my workspace.
Anytime I tried to run the application , I get this pop up to login for XDB user name and password .
I have tried all the admin user name and password I can think of during my apex installation . Nothing seems to work.
I want to disable this authentication so that it doesnt appear agian. Please I need help.

    Please check the status of the users whether they are open:
Login into SQL Plus with SYS user and SYSDBA privilege
Check the status of the users:
SELECT USERNAME
     , ACCOUNT_STATUS
FROM DBA_USERS

    NOTE : If the account status is not OPEN then follow the next step to unlock the accounts.
Unlock the locked/expired users with valid password:

ALTER USER xdb IDENTIFIED BY "password" ACCOUNT UNLOCK;
    NOTE : Replace "password" with a valid password.

Urgent: OBIEE Alert.. User unable to save the alert results....

Hi,
User see alerts on his 'My dashboard' page. However after clicking on the Alert link he wants to be able to save the results but cannot do so because the alert opens in a new window and no download button is available. Also he cannot use File ->save as from the browser window because it opens in a new window. Can you please suggest how he can save the results.
Another user is able to save the results because the alert opens as a new dashboard tab so he can use File -> save as.
Any help is appreciated very much.

Settings->Administration->Manage Presentation catalog->the requisite folder permissions --> here u can add that users as Adminsitrator and test it
Method 1:
give access for shared folders were the filter is stored to the user, because shared filters were stored there only.
Method 2:
I got the problem resolved by doing the following. User can access My Folder/dsahboard now:
1. delete the <user> folder and <user>.atr in catalog in OBIPS directory
2. Restart the BI services
3. Login using the user.
ie., Installed Drive :\Oracle\Middleware\instances\instance2\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\catalog\*YourCatalog*\root\users
