Unable to select process - HCM Processes and Forms

Dear All,
We are using HCM Processes and Forms with 10 different processes. In the initial 'Start Process' screen after we enter the employee number and try to select a process, it does not select the process.
Earlier it was working fine this problem we are facing after an upgrade to SP20. Please le me know which notes need to be applied.

are you on any EhP ? SP20 of what component ?
There are several OSS notes delivered in recent months for issues in Process selection, you may need to look at them.

Search Process HCM process and Forms

Hi all,
There is a standard iview called search process Hradmin Role.
in this Search process i could see a selection option called process.Where the user can select the process.
This field contains a drop down contains standard and custom process.
We want to show only the Custom process to user.
Please let me know how this can be handled.

Error in Executing the process HCM process & Forms

Hello,
When we try to execute the process we encountered an error message "&1 Process only makes sense if employee number specified".
&1 :- Name of the process
Message Class : HRASR00_UI
Message No: 004
Initially we are able to execute the process with other user id in portal.
But now we have created a new portal user with different employee number.
In Backend with t.code HRASR_TEST_PROCESS, we can execute the process by specifying the employee number.
But when we try to execute the process in portal with same employee number, above mentioned error message is flashed.
Please note that Portal user has sufficient authorization to execute the process.
Kindly give suggesion to solve the issue and let me know if you need more information.

Hi Tobias,
You are receiving this error due to a current limitation in the Flex server. How you can fix this is to split the iView you are currently working on into two iViews, and embed one within the other. This will decrease the size of the current iView you are receiving the error for and eliminate this problem.

How can I pick what is selected in a report and form appication

I have the need to pick what is selected , say the primary key from what is selected in the first form.

Look on the second page for an ID item. This is what is typically set when going from a report to a form. You should be able to use that item to filter your report on the second page.

Unable to Select from List of Processes

Hi all.
I'm having an issue where I am unable to mouse click (or select) from a list of processes. This is happening in three different areas. When I click Start Processes, I am able to select an employee (even from HR Admin I can enter an employee) without any problems. Then after choosing my employee, I click the button 'Select Process' and I get a list of P&Fs processes. However, the top process is pre-selected and I am unable to select any other process. Even though the list of processes are different for HR Admin and manager, I still can only proceed to the Adobe form with the first (top) process. If I click edit to continue to the adobe form it opens the top selected form without an issues.
This also happens from the "Find Processes" overview screen. After entering my select criteria of processes to search, I get a list of process transactions which have been started but again, I am only able to see the details of the first one (and I cannot select any other process).
I am running Ehp 3 with the latest patches to BPs and ECC 6.0 (as of 1/3/2010). I've also tried using different browsers including IE 8 and Google Chrome.

Not sure what to look for when you reference 'controls'. As far as the business packages, they are up to date. I've eliminated the issue being ECC 6 related. Just not sure what to check on the portal side that could be causing this. Any suggestions on how to check (and update if necessary) the controls?

Unable to add a process to the HCM processes and Forms Option on MSS

Hi,
We are on EP 7.0 / xSS SP 7/ EP 7.0 and using HCM processes and forms. I have defined one new Process and made all the required configurations (Form Scenario, ISR Scenario, Process Start configuration for the Manager Role, Etc...) at the Backend for the process. Does anyone know how to add this process to the list of processes that are available to pick from when we click the HCM Processes and Forms Service on EP>MSS>Team.
Do I need to define a Service and Resource for the process under IMG Homepage Framework?
Is there any setting required on the Portal?
I would appreciate step by step guide to add a new process to the existing list of processes that manager sees when 'HCM Processes and Forms' link is used.

Hi,
You have to allow the process configured for manager role. This can be done in process configuration.
You should add HRASRB ( manager role) in the process configuration so that manager can see the process in the list.
Also manager role does not use home page customizing to list process in the table. This will not help.
There is a function module HR_ASR_SELECT_PROCESSES that is used to filter out processes relevant for the role and the current user.
Check if process is returned using this function module once you have done the changes.

Query on HCM Processes and Forms

I am facing some issues in configuring Hiring Forms in HCM Processes and Forms. I can place them in 2 baskets and describe each of them below. I would appreciate any advise on ways and means to overcome these errors.
Basket #1
I want to use the standard forms SHU1, SHU2 in development environment to understand the HCM P&F functionalities. I copied these form scenarios from client 000 and did all the configurations as outline in IMG activity HRAdministrative Services >> Configuration of Forms and Processes >> Sample Processes for HCM Process and Forms.
When I run a check using HR Administrative Services >> Configuration of Forms and Processes >> Configuration of Forms >> Check Consistency of Form Scenarios and select Form name, I get errors along following lines:
u2022     Error Message Sample#1 Form scen SHU1 vers. 00000 serv. SAP_PA: Only one deflt value allowed for field I0009_ZLSCH
u2022     Error Message Sample#2 Form scen. SHU1 vers. 00000 service SAP_PA: Field I0007_ARBST default value is not created
u2022     Error Message Sample#3 ISR scenario SHU1 version 00000: Field I0001_BUKRS is missing
u2022     Error Message Sample#4 Form scen. SHU1 vers. 00000: Field I0007_ARBST service for default values not required
However, at the bottom of the log I see this message in Green: Form scenario SHU1 version 00000: Form scenario is consistent
I tried to make the changes as suggested in the Long Text for each of these messages. Probably due to the fact that I am using standard delivered forms, I get this message u201CDo not make any changes (SAP entry)u201D and I am unable to save the changes.

In this basket I have Org_Change form and have managed to go the whole nine yards and complete the configuration in ECC. The consistency checks for process and forms are in green. However, I am unable to start the process through Portal. I get this message u201Cno data availableu201D when I try to select a process.
Among the 5 roles delivered in SAP as initiators for processors u2013I am interested in 3 of them HRASARA (for HR Administrator). I have configured HRASRA and HRASRB as initiators for Org_Change. However, I am not able to figure out how to link these roles to portal roles such as SAP_ASR_ADMINISTRATOR, SAP_ASR_MANAGER etc.
I would appreciate any advise on ways and means to overcome these errors.

Error while Accessing the HCM process and forms

We have implemented HCm process and forms. Everything was working fine earlier but for past few days we are facing an issue after selecting an employee and clicks on the select process we are getting the following error. Kindly povide the solution.
The following error text was processed in the system GOA : Component Usage OADP_USAGE Does Not Have an Active Component
The error occurred on the application server sapgoa_GOA_37 and in the work process 4 .
The termination type was: RABAX_STATE
The ABAP call stack was:

In EhP4, the employee search is created using OADP framework . And if the relevant configuration is not maintained , I mean there is a view cluster where the applications (PA/PD) and relevant object types are maintained.
If this is not maintained, this creates a error. Please check .

Message Handling in HCM Process and Forms

Hi,
I have added own messages logic
MESSAGE_HANDLER Type Ref To IF_HRBAS_MESSAGE_HANDLER
message_handler->add_message( message = message ).
in "DO_OPERATION" method of Generic Service in HCM process and Forms.
Problem : We have handled messages in method "DO_OPERATION" but when we click on NEXT push button (review and send)at mss level, same error messages is displayed for 2 times above the adobe form.
Same error messages are displayed as many times as we click on NEXT push button.
Need Solution : It is supposed to display only once.

Please check SY-UCOMM in both the cases.
1. After Selecting Position
2. After Clicking 'Next' Button.
If SY-UCOMM is different, Then Add message to Message_handler only when Position is selected.
That means If sy-ucomm = Position select User command
Then Add message to Message_handler.

'Else dont ADD'

Dynamic navigation, on HCM Process and Forms "Web Dynpro FORM"

I'm trying to solve an issue regarding dynamic navigation, on a enhacement done at the Web Dynpro ABAP QISR_UI component for HCM Process and Forms.
I'm hiding the Adobe Form, and doing "do_dynamic_navigation" for a dynamic generated view container present at the VIEWSHOWFORM on the QISR_UI component.
The code works great, i.e.: the Adobe Form remains hidden and the custom form, using Web Dynpro appears.
I'm also using the HRASR00_PROCESS_EXECUTE_1 component to execute a Portal IView (Floorplan based component).
When the process is started, and the folowing actions are executed:
1- Select Employee
2- Select Process
3- Edit form
4- Press back (for example if the wrong process is selected)
5- Select the Process
6- Edit form again
There is a NULL exception, the "embedding_vca" (below) is NULL

Basically what I did was replacing the Adobe Form, by a Web Dynpro component that contains its own form, and associated logic.
Tecnically the steps to acomplish the task were:
1º Development of a component for showing a form. ( I suggest you to start with just a "hello world" or something very basic )
2º Enhance the QISR_UI component (VIEWSHOWFORM view, on the modify view method), something like
if form scenario = XXXXX then
hide the adobe form;
create a custom view container (the problem I had above), and create an instance of the component created on step 1
end if
3º Access the context that the original form returns (you can check the context debugging the VIEWSHORFORM view )
4º Pass the context to the component created..
I can't provide further details on this, I'm sorry...
I do not suggest doing this, this was a requirement so I had to do it... But this requires a lot of workarrounds, and lots of small changes in standard code related with process and forms... It's not, also, a "clean" solution

HCM Processes & Forms without Employee Selection

We would like to develop a Job Requisition Process using HCMPF. A Job Requisition does not require an employee selection. The Start Process in the portal begins with the selection of an employee. I know that the ability to skip employee selection in the Start Process is delivered with EHP4 but we are going to be doing this development with EHP3. I read in an SDN blog that via configuration you can set a process to "skip selection". In this way, the process actually jumps right to the form screen as if it was in an "edit" task. Would this be a solution for us? Is the configuration done somewhere in the process definition in the ECC System? Does the process still require an employee selection at the end of the process to complete it? We have heard that an HCM process does not have to do updates, but can just be a fill-in of a form and routing for approvals. I need help understanding how to initiate this type of process when no employee selection is needed.

Regarding scripting in adobe HCM process and forms

Hi Gurus,
I am working on adobe HCM process and forms. Configuration has been done for HCM process and forms and I am getting the scenario stage level in the forms based on which I will give the visibilty to differenct levels of approvals in the form.Scripting has been done for that.
When form is initially loaded, I am making invisible some of the fields. On choosing the drop down the value that I make invisible is visible again. I found that Scenario stage that I bound to the form attribute is getting cleared off, when drop down event is called. Drop down event calls the generic services to fill the drop down values. Drop down used is from ISR Controls from the library.
The scripting that I used in the drop down event is as belows
if (xfa.form.data.Page1.FORM_SCN.rawValue == "INIMGR_LVL1")
xfa.form.data.Page1.DE.DEContent.HR_VIEW.presence = "invisible";
xfa.form.data.Page1.FORM_SCN.rawValue this is getting cleared off. Form SCN is the field in the form where in which I bound the attribute scenario stage.

HCM Process and Forms - Create and End record using the same form scenario

Hi All,
I have the following requirement while using HCM Processes and Forms: Using one form/scenario I need to both create a record or be able to end a record for infotype 841. When looking at the back-end service SAP_PA I have operations Create, Change, Change without delimiting and Delete. My requirement would be to do both a create and a delete I guess, but these two can't be selected at the same time while configuring the form scenario.
I was thinking about doing somethign with the startdate and enddate instead of using the effective date. But I have no clue how to do that.
How would this be possible?

You are correct in assuming that you cannot have a create and delete on the same infotype. The config will not allow it. Instead, configure the create and then do the delete via a call to you own method in the workflow or via the advanced generic service
