If you have exhausted your free trial period on your computer, even if you didn't actually get to try it, short of wiping and reinstalling your entire system from scratch you're not going to be able to extend the trial period.  If there was a way, there would be people who would take advantage and just never subscribe.

  • Creative Cloud for desktops impossible to update

I get a reminder every day that there is updates for Adobe CC for desktops. When I try to install, it says "Adobe Creative Cloud for desktops could not be installed". I can´t open the application either. The update reminder keeps poping up. What to do? The text on the pic is in swedish, but it says the same as inside the quotes above.

I guess I'm a little mystified by this reply.  I've reported no problem signing in or out of adobe, nor have I experienced any.
I've been going along with a creative cloud desktop and updates for over a yr now so not sure how my install would suddenly be 'faulty'.  Complete removal and reinstall is something like a days work if you have any related difficulties at all yet it seems to be the most often suggested remedy.
Is there no chance of something that does not require a hefty input of my time getting the tools to work rather than using them, that can be done to remedy what seems to be something like a stuck routine in the install routines?
Any other folks with an idea about this?

  • Creative Cloud for Desktop Download Error

I have Creative Cloud for Desktop installed on MacBook Pro, OS Yosemite, to use Adobe Illustrator.  A few months back, the CC App stopped working.  Says "Download Error" with no fix.  I have searched other posts within the forums and followed all listed "fix" instructions, including uninstalling/reinstalling CC, deleting folders and even logging in as "root" user.  None of these methods have fixed my Creative Cloud App.
Due to this Download Error, I am unable to use or update Creative Cloud, nor am I able to update Adobe Illustrator.
Any assistance to fix this issue is appreciated.  Thank you.

  • Creative Cloud for Desktop app Launch at login (solved)

I’ve had an issue with Creative Cloud for Desktop app (using Windows 8.1 Update 1 x64) – regardless of what has been set on my Preferences > General Tab > Launch at login, my app didn’t start at logon (system startup).
    I’ve tried:
uncheck the ‘Launch at login’ option (Preferences > General Tab). Restart PC. Launch the CC app, check ‘Launch at login’. Restart. Didn’t help.
uncheck the ‘Launch at login’ option (Preferences > General Tab). Restart PC. Remove the startup Key from registry stored under: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]. Restart. Launch the CC app, check ‘Launch at login’. Restart. Didn’t help.
reinstall Creative Cloud for desktop app. Didn’t help.
rename the OPM.db file (as described here: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/apps-panel-reflect-creative-cloud.html). Didn’t help.
Finally - since the CC app is actually and x86 application - I’ve moved the startup entry from the x64 Run Key [Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] into the common x86 [Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run].
    Simply:
    a. Remove:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
    "Adobe Creative Cloud"="\"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Adobe\\Adobe Creative Cloud\\ACC\\Creative Cloud.exe\" --showwindow=false --onOSstartup=true"
    a. Create:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
    "Adobe Creative Cloud"="\"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Adobe\\Adobe Creative Cloud\\ACC\\Creative Cloud.exe\" --showwindow=false --onOSstartup=true"
And you know what? it woooorks!!! Now my app starts with windows!
I'm sharing this in case someone else has run into the same problem.

    Windows 8.1 - update
    Windows Firewall
Kaspersky Anti-virus - not tried turning off but will do so and respond
All my programs have downloaded, installed and are still working (Muse, Photoshop, etc.)
Not installed any hardware since registering for Adobe, but have installed Articulate Studio 13, and also Articulate Storyline
Originally received an update for the desktop app, which failed to install
Tried repeatedly (including turning off firewall) but no luck
Uninstalled the desktop app - after following a link in one of the forums
downloaded the new desktop app - installed - perfect
Other application updates installed perfectly, including the big update for Muse to 64 bit
Most recent update for desktop app failed to install, so tried the above, removed the desktop app, but cannot now find the link to the new version to download.
Hopefully just need to find the download link to the desktop app, but travelling at present so do not get enough time to surf to locate it :-(

  • Update of illustrator cc 2014 using Creative Cloud for desktop fails permanently.

    Hello,
I am trying to update the illustrator cc 2014 using Creative Cloud for desktop. The download fails due to error -60.
Yesterday I spent few hours on chat with a support repesentative, who directed me to ask ISP for download file size limitation. The ISP responded that there are no limitations of download file at all.
Any help with direct download instead of the desktop is appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Izidor

No you have not lost your work. You can still open the old project in CC. Providing you did not overwrite. CC14 project should read Projectname-1. Otherwise try an auto save.
    Try this:
Error "This project contained a sequence that could not be opened"

    Hi All,
I also encountered the same error on my Apple Mac Book Pro running OSX Version 10.9.2 (Mavericks). First I encountered the "Error 13" where the Creative Folder was unable to complete the Installation and came up with a message "Error Starting Creative Cloud" Cookies Dir Cannot Make Folder /Cookies Permission Denied (Error 13). First I followed the below procedure :-
Completely Uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud from the Applications.
Click on the Finder and Go to Folder ~/Library/Application Support
Right Click on the Folder and Click on Get Info (cmd+i) and refer to the "Sharing & Permission"
Unlock using your Password the Sharing and Permission Control.
Add the Username that you have logged in and make sure it has "Read and Write Access" Refer to "Sriharshaa Prabhakar"
Click on the "Small Settings Icon" and Select "Apply to enclosed items"
    Click on Lock
    Install the Adobe Creative Cloud.
I also encountered an error while logging into the Creative Cloud after successful installation. I chose the below method to resolve the issue"-
Quit the Adobe Creative Cloud from the Task Bar above.
Click on the Finder and Go To Folder ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Right Click on the Folder OOBE and Click Get Info.
    Rename the Folder to OOBE.old
    Launch the Adobe Creative Cloud
Loginto to the Adobe Creative Cloud and chose the Application that you want to Install.
Thanks for all the help and hope the procedure above helps people who are looking for step by step approach to solve this silly installation issue.

  • I just signed in to Creative Cloud for the third time today!

Ok, I love the new apps. I am good with the pricing structure. But this mess with first having an endless stream of problems with installing the CC manager, and the AAM, and reinstalling AND reinstalling until finally I was able to hunt down the problem myself (firewall plus anti-virus problems mostly, which just leads back to incomplete installer development IMHO).
Now? Creative cloud will not keep me signed in. What's more, it won't maintain my software authorizations. I've authorized Premeire Pro twice today, just to keep Media Encoder and dynamic link running. Why? Why why why???! To add to this, I am continually asked to reaccept the license agreement and after I login, am directed to my completely filled in profile and asked to complete it.
And if any response to this includes "uninstall/reinstall" I am going to freak the @$%^& out.
This was not happening yesterday, or the day before. Why is it happening now? If you have server problems, am I not going to be able to work?
More importantly, I'm about to pack up my gear and take a teaching appoinment in a rural area with possibly very limited Internet access. Something I thought would be fine, because I read that my license would remain active for a significant period while offline.
With two weeks to go before I leave, please tell me what is going on, and what you are going to do about it. Because I'm about to tell the University where I work that Creative Cloud is not together enough to consider yet.
Adobe, why are you trying to make me unhappy. I'm a big fan. Plus, you are delaying a significant job.

Follow the steps below. After several chat conversations with Adobe, this is what I think has fixed the issue. In the end, it makes sense, specifically the permissions settings. Mine were set to Read-Only (Step 4) which would mean that when I log in, it is not able to save my information to the neccessary files. My CC Account was logging off every day before. After following these steps, it has been 24 hours and I am still logged in. Its worth a try if you are having this issue. Note: this is for windows only.
    Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Adobe.
    Locate SLStore folder.
Right-click the SLStore folder, and choose Properties.
In the Attributes section, deselect the Read-Only option.
Click Apply, and then click OK to close the Confirm Attribute Changes dialog box
Again, right-click the SLStore folder and choose Properties.
Click the Security tab and set permissions.
    •Administrators: Full Control
•Power Users: Everything but Full Control and Special
    •System: Full Control
    •Users: Read and Special
Click Advanced, and, if asked, accept the User Account Control (UAC) elevation prompt.
Click the Owner tab, select Administrators, and click Edit.
Select Replace Owner on Subcontainers and Objects. Click Apply, and then click OK.
Click the Permissions tab and click Change Permissions.
Select “Replace all Child Object Permissions with Inheritable Permissions from this Object”. Click OK, and then click Yes.
Click OK, and then click OK again in the Windows Security dialog box. Click OK to close the Advanced Security Settings dialog box.
    Then navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe.
Locate SLCache folder and delete the complete contents of the SLCache folder.
Hit Window+R to bring up the Run Window, type %appdata% and press enter.
Click on Appdata in the address bar.
Then navigate to Local\Adobe\OOBE folder and delete the OPM.DB file.
