Unable to SSO to Campus Solution Application from Enterprise Portal

Hi all,
i am using Peoplesoft HRMS & Campus Solution 9.0 on machine (cms1) and Peoplesoft Enterprise Portal 9.0 on machine (cms2). the peopletools version on both is 8.49.
The database name for campus solution is HRCS9 and for portal is EPORTAL.
after configuring nodes on both the databases when i try to SSO to my CS application from portal error screen appears "invalid User ID or Pasword"

please suggest me what to do to resolve it.

Check your trusted nodes in both applications.
To do this go to PeopleTools->Security->Security Objects->Single Signon
Make sure PSFT_HR is in the list under "Trust Authentication Tokens issued by these Nodes" in Enterprise Portal and PSFT_PA is in the list in HR/Campus Solutions.
You could also check your authentication domain for both to make sure it is the same.
This is set in PeopleTools->Web Profile->Web Profile Configuration under the General tab.

I am trying to do SSO from SAP Portal to a J2EE engine which runs on SAP Web AS.
Here are my queries
1. When I deploy a J2EE application on Web AS , I dont get any login screen. How can I make sure that if a user wants to access this J2EE application he should get a login screen and provide his login credentials first, only then would he be able to access the J2EE application.
2.When I am done with Part 1. If a user tries to access this J2EE application from the Portal (asuming the user Id's in Portal and J2EE application are same and both are in the same domain) , I should not get any login screen and should be able to view the J2EE application.
3.I want to use SAP Logon tickets generated by the Portal to enable SSO.
I have done all the necessary configurations in the J2EE server.
1. Imported the Portal's verify.der certificate.
2. Adjusted the login modules stack for the application accordingly.
Can anyone please help me out with this or throw some light.

Let me give you the solution for both questions differently.

Ans: For doing this in the code of your J2EE application you have to write a if statement which will check if the user ID is coming from the backend or not. If yes then you display that logon page else you just pass that username which is coming from backend and displ;ay the page accordingly.

Ans: Yes, this is what I am explaining you. Even I had also made same kind of J2EE application in which if the user is coming from the backend then he/she will look the J2EE screen else if the username is not coming then he will se the Login screen. Exactly same as what are looking for.
3.I want to use SAP Logon tickets generated by the Portal to enable SSO.
Ans: I have used User Mapping instead of SAP Logon ticket. Well that is also the option for SSO but personally I think User Mapping is easy and better way for implementing SSO.
I dont know whether this will help you or not. Please let me know. I can definately help if you want to implement SSO using User Maping.

actually it the scenario is some this like this i have created an WAD with email as an button up on click on the button it will execute the BI Broad Casting Functionality
He have published the template on to portal, the template is executing fine in Enterprise portal but upon button click we are perfectly invoking the broadcasting functionality but i am unable to send mail when i am click on Execute button.
The functionality is working fine from BW system .please help me out in resolving the issue.

Updation problem while creating multiple objects from enterprise portal

From enterprise portal i am calling an RFC 'BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN' to create objects .
While trying to create multiple objects simultaneously it gives error "sapuser is currently using, can't be created".
It seems like as i am creating multiple objects by calling RFC repeatedly , while the first one is not updated fully i am sending the second value to be processed.
Pl. tell me how to overcome this. Do I need to add any sleep time in EP or any other method is there in SAP to overcome this situation.

Running BDC in 'A' mode when called from Enterprise portal

HI All,
I have created a RFC which contains a BDC program that update data in SAP R/3. The RFC is called from Enterprise portal. Is it possible to run the rfc in A(all screen display) mode while calling from EP. I have tried it but it gives following 2 errors on EP
cm_no_data_received
rfc_error_communication
what changes i have to do so that i can run the BDC in 'A ' mode when called from Enterprise portal

it would not be related to EP administration issues but something to do with GUI usage. it is loggically fare enough not to give options of viewing the debug screen in as it might concern security issues inway the data could be edited at any point of time. Moreover the screens u see in R3 are ABAP but whereas in EP it is purely based on Java and the calls to SAP is done via JCO thus enabling ABAP functionalities in EP. Maybe for these technical reasons or constraints it wont be possibel to view the screen in EP eventhough u had ext.bp activated

Unable to execute existing Design Studio applications from BI Launchpad after updating to 1.4!

Hello Experts,
We upgraded our SAP BO from 4.0 to SAP BO 4.1 SP5 and also updated our Design Studio from 1.2 directly to 1.4.
Upon testing the existing application in Design Studio it so happens that the existing application is sucessfully executed in local mode. However it does run from the BI Launchpad.
I tried creating a new application in Design Studio 1.4 whick works fine in both local and BI launchpad but my previous created application in 1.2 (now loaded in Design Studio 1.4) should also work, I don't know the reason why it dosen't work.Need help on how to proceed further.
Attached is the error which I get when ezecuting application in BI Launchpad.

Sorry none of the mentioned steps get synced with my situation since I have no problem executing new applications from BI Launchpad but only my old ones.
I read the article http://scn.sap.com/community/businessobjects-design-studio/blog/2014/11/26/ds-14-server-installation and it mentions just smooth execution of existing Design Studio application after updating to 1.4. Wish that would have been the case with me too!

Is it possible to implement SSO for both SAP and non-SAP applications without involvement of EP at all?
I have gone through this link.

But I still i am not able to get the precise answer on how to enable SSO for both SAP and non-SAP applications without EP.
We have decided not to implement EP in first phase of SAP implementation. But we need to enable SSO for other SAP and Non-SAP applications.
A detailed description on how to deal this kind of scenarios will be helpful.

A client of our's uses SAP Enterprise Portal, and is using the SAP SSO, which is implemented with tickets, and requires the use of SAPSECULIB. My company provides an application for this client, and our application in hosted in our data center for the client, as a Software as a Service application, obviously across the internet. Our client, which owns a SAP license, has asked that we support the SAP SSO as a non-SAP SSO application. The client user's SSO ticket will be created from SAP EP, and then passed across the internet to our application, and we are to use that SSO ticket as an authentication ticket to our application. I beleive I know how to do this work technically, having reviewed the SAP document named: "Dynamic Library for Verifying SSO Tickets in Third-Party Software" Specification Version 2.00 December 2005.
My question is, does my company have the right to use the SAPSECULIB? Where is the official download and license download, that indicates we can download this library, and use it to support a SAP customer? We do not own a SAP license. Thank you for your help. I have searched many places in SAP support.

Custom DB authentication to an application from Oracle Portal not working.

We have a Portal customized and integrated to LDAP for SSO.
From the portal, we have a link that takes to another custom application that requires another level of authentication. We have implemented this authentication as custom Database based authentication.
When user login to the portal and access this link, he will be directed for authentication again. This custom application has been installed on a different OC4J instance while Oracle Portal is running in a different OC4J instance.
Issue is though user details are being propagated to the custom application page, we are receiving an error saying authentication failed.
In the OC4J instance specific for this custom application, we have configured jazn.xml to use custom authentication.
Below is the code:

Can we use both LDAP and custom DB authentication with in the same OAS setup. Remember as of now, Portal and custom application are running in different OC4J instances but within the same OAS.
Any help in this regard will be highely appreciated.

How to access BW RFC FM as web service from Enterprise portal using SSO

We have developed a custom remote function module in our BW system. We are accessing this function module as a webservice from a java class we have written. This java class access the BW webservice and formats the output. We created a webservice on top of this java class and deployed on the Enterprise Portal. SSO is setup between EP and BW systems. So when i make call to the BW RFC webservice, i would like to make use of SSO setup between EP and BW instead of hardcoding the user id and password while calling the webservice. Please advise on how to achive this.

Hi,
Go to webserive perspective -> WebService Configuration -> Expand config node->Security-> Select HTTP Authentication and check Use SAP logon tickets option.

Installation of application from Company Portal stops at 50%

Hello,
As stated in topic. I deployed application to company portal client on my test laptop and when I try to install it as a user, installation stops at 50%.
Some application will install (they are visible in add/remove programs) but installation from company portal hangs at 50% some apps won't even install.
Do anyone have any idea how to resolved such issue?
I'll be grateful for help

I believe that the first 50% of the installation Windows Intune is only downloading the application files and saves them to a temp directory.
Usually if the application installation goes to 50% then "hangs" or fail could be due to bad silent switches or a exitcode that does not match what you specified for that application.

Unable to see Dashboard over the internet Using Enterprise Portal

I have one issue here which is bit technical,
I have made an Xcelsius Dashboard (Connection Type: Excel XML Maps (BW Queries)) and uploaded SWF file on to KM Repository in Portal. I have created Document iview and a role to published the dashboard on Enterprise Portal.
Now when i am trying to access that Dashboard from Portal within local network it works fine but when i try opening the same Dashboard over the internet from home it gives an error.
ERROR DETAILS:
To access external data, add a cross-domain policy file to the external data web server.

I have added crossdomain into WebAppl Srvr of BW Server .. Created BSP Application ---> Imported crossdomain file ---> set BSP App in Default Service.
Please provide possible solutions
