Unable to start Web Cache service on Win2000

Hi,
I am unable to start the Web Cache service.
On startup the service errors out with the error as follows
"The OracleiSuites_homeWebCache service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."
I tried reinstalling 9iAS but still get the same error.
Please let me know how to resolve this.

Could be a file descriptor limit problem. But this is the least of your problems. The biggest issue is that the version of Web Cache you are using is over 3 years old. You should upgrade to the latest 9.0.x version or simply download the standalone install from OTN. The URL is http://otn.oracle.com/software/products/ias/devuse.html
This version is backward compatible with prior versions of iAS.

In event_log file of web cache error msg is like this :-

What is this error ?//
Web Cache Admin service is running fine..
but cache service is not....
Any body know what may be the Problem...

Unable to start Web Analysis .Service Temporarily Unavailable

Hi,
I am using the following URL to access Web Analysis http://testdb.xxx.xxx.xx:19000/WebAnalysis/WebAnalysis.jsp. But it throws up the following error -
"*Service Temporarily Unavailable, the server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.*"
FYI
1. I'm using EPM 11.1.1.3 on Linux Server (Tikanga)
2. Planning, Shared Services, Workspace, Essbase etc. are working fine. The problem is only with Web Analysis. However, even Web Analysis was working fine in the not-so-distant past.
I have tried stopping and starting the Web Analysis service but that doesn't seem to help.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Required application module analyzer.reportview is not configured. Please contact your administrator.
Web Analysis was working just fine until recently. Now the problem is only with WA. Everything else is working as it should If nothing gets Web Analysis up and running again, is there a way I can retrieve my saved report files? I can view these files from Workspace -> Explore -> Reports folder.

Unable to start Webi report service in XIr3

Hi group,
We are trying to run Webi for XIr3.1 FP1.4 in AIX 5.3 environment. After installation we are not able to start Webi services. We have tried thru command line and from CMC but it never starts.
Initially we started with no Fix Pack but afterwords rwadin reco and consulting BO Supp we have installed FP1.4. Can you help in exploring the root cause please.

Please enable webi report server tracing in CMC and try to restart the server.
Then navigate to /logging directory and review the log files generated to see why the server is not starting.
Also, what happens if you create a new webi report server, will it start ?

(Basis)Unable to start some XI services in the J2EE Engine

Hello,
Our XI system was up & running Fine, however suddenly the
J2EE engine is unable to start some XI services like XI.Repository,XI directory,
XI RWB etc .. However the Adapter Framework services are up & running fine .
The Application startup fails to start even when we manually start through Visual
Admin tool . (cluster ->server->services->Deploy) .
We had many times stopped & started the J2EE Engine also . ABAP Stack works fine .
We get the Class not found exception error .

Geting error msg "Unable to start Web browser for U" while open Siebel Icon

I have Successfully Installed Siebel 8.1 on Windows 7 Operating System After this when i am trying to open "Siebel Financial Services - ENU" ICON i am getting Error Message that "Unable to start Web browser for your Session".
I have Internet Explorer 8 on my Windows 7 operating system.

Hi,
Which web browser you were trying to open the siebel application. You should make that web browser as a default browser for your OS.
Open IE- Tools - Internet Options - Programs - Make Default Browser.
Try this and let me know the results.

We have corrected the issue. There was something wrong with the files in the WebCache Folder.

When we open the event_log in the \webcache\logs folder, there is nothing there. The process is not writing any type of message to the event_log.
We have tried changing port numbers without any success.
This process was working until a restart of the server yesterday. Now Web Cache and Portal are not showing active.

Try to stop processes that might still occupy the port of the webcache and webcache admin.
Also check the logfiles in the opmn.

Error: Unable to start Citadel 5 services

I am running LabVIEW v7.1 Developer Suite with DSC v7.1
Running Windows 2000
I am using LabVIEW to access data from an OPC server located in the PC running LabVIEW. I set up a vi to read the wanted data with no problems. Today, when I tried to open the saved vi I recieved this error message: "Unable to start Citadel 5 services". I have never recieved this error message before. As a result, I can not access the Tag Configuration Editor. Does anyone have any suggestions/comments that may help me? Thank you.

I'm sure you have tried rebooting your PC. If this did not solve the error try repairing the installation of the DSC Module from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
Citadel 5 is the database portion of the DSC module. It is dependent on several other components that should be installed/updated by the DSC Module installer. Another component that Citadel depends on is Microsoft's MSDE (http://www.microsoft.com/sql/msde/default.asp). This shows up as sqlservr.exe in the task manager (This component is automatically installed when you install the DSC Module). Citadel must be able to start this service in order to run.
Let me know if you were able to resolve this issue.

Unable to start Oracle Application services on Apps Tier12.1.3

I've configured a Apps Tier on AWS, it was up and successfully running.
I stopped it using Execute $INST_TOP/admin/scripts/adstpall.sh
When I'm trying to start it again using $INST_TOP/admin/scripts/adstrtal.sh , it is failing with :

HP touchsmart 520, error unable to start bluetooth stack service

I am wanting to use the bluetooth feature on my Touchsmart 520 for transferring pics, audio files etc. My periphal device is a Samsung Galaxy S5. My phone shows that it is paired with my pc, when i try to access via bluetooth I get the error message unable to start bluetooth stack service. My Touchsmart uses the Broadcom adapter that came with the pc. Help!!!

I understand you are having issues transferring files between your Samsung Galaxy S5 and your HP touchsmart 520 Desktop PC. I am providing you with some steps you can try below:
Step 1. Go to device manager
Step 2. Right click on "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" that you want
Step 3. Select "Update Driver Software..."
Step 4. Choose "Browse my computer for driver software"
Step 5. Choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
Step 6. Select "Ports (COM & LPT)"
Step 7. Select "Microsoft" at "Manufacturer" list
Step 8. Finally select "Standard Serial over Bluetooth link"
If you are still unable to pair with a Bluetooth device try the following:
Step 1. Search for "Change device" in the Windows 8 Start menu.
Step 2. Click on where it says Change device installation settings.
Step 3. Select the No, let me choose what to do option.
Step 4. Check the automatically get the device app option
Step 5. Click Save changes to save the settings you just chose
As well you can try this:
Step 1: Go to RUN (Windows Logo + R) and type “services.msc” and Enter
Step 2: Now find “Bluetooth Support Service” and double click on it
Step 3: Now click on Log On Tab and Type in "Local Service" without quotes
Step 4. Click on “This Account”
Step 5: Now remove any passwords leave the password field blank
Step 6: Underneath the upper left title should be a hyperlink "Start" Click it
You can also check:
Power Management tab and unchecked the box that said "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." Problem solved. Thank you for your willingness and persistance in helping me resolve the issue.

but we are not able to find service SRA001_PCAPPROVAL in
Activate and Maintain services (/IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE) .

Unable to start Bluetooth stack service

I'm getting the message "Unable to start Bluetooth stack service" and cannot connect any new bluetooth devices. My notebook is a Pavilion tx 2000. Any ideas??

No eprint icon on my printer /unable to start web services

I have a HP officejet 65001 plus special edition. windows 7 64 bit. I do not have a eprint icon on my printer nor am I able to start web services. Message unable to complete update. Just prints out a page as follows:Connect h10141.www1.hp.com:80 HRRP/1.0 Proxy authorization: Basic Og==. Please help me. I have updated firmware. Powered off/on. Have spent numerous hours trying to get this to work!!!! Yhank you

I apologize for the inconvenience of this error message, I just have a couple of questions to confirm some information.
How did you update the firmware?
Can you confirm the printer firmware is this version?: CIP1FN1126AR
( You can find this information by printing a printer status report, under Setup(Tool icon)>Reports>Printer Status Report
If that is the current firmware version they you can try to power down both the printer and the router. Then power on the router, let it come fully online, then power on the printer. Once all devices are fully powered on try activating web services again.
Please let me know the result.

I have created a web service using jax-ws and have deployed it using JWSDP Web Application Manager(tomcat 5.0). I'm using JDK 1.6.
The service is getting deployed fine without any error. but when i try to start the service it gives me the following error.

The Web service has been using JAXWS under JDK 1.6.0_10-ea and deployed under tomcat 6.0.14. It seems to work well. The client have problem while handling the response and crash.
Any ideas ?

Unable to start OutlookSoft SendGovernor Service

Hi All,
While running the server diagnostic, I am getting the error on OSoftSendGovernor. So I tried to start the OSoft Send Governor Service manually. But I am unable to start the services. I am getting the following error:
"The OutlookSoft SendGovernor Service service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service."
Has anyone come across the similar problem before?

We did not apply any patches. We are just unable to logon in BPC home page. BPC was working fine a week ago. BPC Home page is not accessible, but we are able to access the Management Console.
