When I click on the camera icon to upload an image I get a black square and am not abe to upload the image.

Perhaps try another browser (which one are you using?).

Suddenly unable to use Camera Raw in Bridge CC

I use a Mac, OS X 10.9.5 and have a subscription to Creative Cloud.
I have wasted pretty much my whole afternoon and evening trying to sort this but to no avail - and, yes, I have read other posts, the same issues, etc.
I was using the Camera Raw function in Bridge CC fine. Then I went to use it again and it's greyed out and can't be opened. I have restarted my Mac, opened and closed Bridge and Photoshop and tried some of the suggestions on other forums but it still won't illuminate/work.
I am convinced iPhoto is the issue as I was trying to get photos from iPhoto to Bridge (not entirely successfully or without some choice language) and it was in the midst of that process that it seemingly stopped working, but maybe a coincidence.
Please help!

Unable to use camera with MBP in cradle?

Happy New Year,
Posting this for my Dad, who finally saw the light and dove headfirst into the world of Mac: appears he is having trouble getting the camera on his 24" ACD to operate when connected to his cradled MBP. We're trying to use Skype or iChat AV, and though he can see me, I can't see him. Audio works fine, and we confirmed the mic on the ACD is being used when the USB is plugged in.
To isolate the problem, I had him disconnect his MBP USB cable from the display to operate the MBP as a stand alone laptop. We disconnected, he woke up his laptop after he opened it, I called him back, and voila- I was able to see and hear him fine on the MBP (green light is lit). He can also successfully see himself in PhotoBooth using either the laptop alone or with the ACD, so no problem there.
I read through a related post (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10425681&#10425681) and two embedded Apple Support articles on the use of the camera, but before we pull the ol' SMC reset I want to make SURE I haven't overlooked something obvious. I know it shouldn't be this hard!

Thanks- answers to your questions in order:
-Not a dock, and no other piece of hardware involved- he just sets the laptop beneath the ACD in a small, plastic shelf;
-Good question. While on Skype with him, I was wearing headphones. The sound was quite rich and clear while we were talking with his MBP closed and hooked up to his ACD. Upon disconnect from his MBP I noticed that the sound had changed quite dramatically- more tinny and muffled. Then, when I asked him to reconnect the USB cable to his MBP I discovered quite loudly that the built-in mic is nearby, what with all the sudden noise coming from his fumbling with the cable.
-I confirmed with him that the lid is down on the MBP. He is running Apple Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.
Most interesting to me: when the MBP is hooked up to the ACD the Skype preferences page states that the camera is "unable to be accessed or is in use". Yet he is able to open up Photo Booth and take his own picture from the ACD camera. Hmmmm.

Unable to use camera connection kit

I downloaded IOS5 to my ipad2 and lost my pictures when I try to redownload them using my ipad camera connection kit it tells me it doesn't recogize the device any suggestions?

Which part of the kit are you using, the cable to camera connection or the SD card reader ? If the SD reader then how are the photos getting onto the card, direct from the camera or from your computer ? If you are adding them to the card then you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of the card, with the photos underneath it, and the photo filenames need to be exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension i.e. in a similar format as if a camera had created/written them

ISight camera indicator light is always on, unable to use camera function

I noticed today when I turned my imac on that my iSight camera indicator light is on and will not go away with reboot. I do not see any other programs running. I attempted to use the camera in iMovie but the screen stays blank. Any ideas?

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP 1000 Notebook and issue with the WebCam not working correctly. Here is a document on troubleshooting the WebCam for Windows 7.
If that does not help I would uninstall the drivers and software.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system. If your system is not up to date this could cause issues with software and drivers.

When using Camera RAW after editing photo I can only save file as DNG, I want to save as JPEG. HOW??

Unable to install Camera Raw 6.3

Recently upgraded from PSE7 to 9 however found that my raw files from my camera were not supported (canon 550d). Downloaded camera raw 6.3, however I cannot install/run the program. In the Adobe Application Manager (Updates) I get the following: Some updates failed to install preceeded by a red triangle. In the box below I get: Update is not applicable. I am using Windows 7, upgrade from Vista.
Any ideas/help/solutions would be greatly recieved.

Manythanks for the reply. Yes I was attemping to install the wrong version and
have now updated to the correct version however I still get an error message
saying "Unable to use Camera Raw plug-in. It is not compatible with this version
of Photshop Elements". I can see my image when on a thumbnail view but when I
select open the error message appears. Any ideas?

My APE11 gets an Unable to use plug-in It's not compatable with this version of Photoshop

My APE 11 will read my Canon 70D raw file since I used the 8.3. In the organiser but as soon as I got to Edit the Raw file it just come up " Unable to use Camera Raw Plug-in" " It is not compatable with this version of Photoshop" No photo in the screen at all just a blank area with the raw sliders. And the box with the wording unable to use etc.

I downloaded it and looked at it. Even Graphic Converter can't recover any pixels or meaningful data, just some general information:
In my experience, if GraphicConverter can't open it, nothing will.

Camera icon does not appear when use Google Image Search

I am working on a much older macbook pro (2006) running OS 10.6.8 and Safari 5.1.10.
Just the other day I reinstalled Safari, as some things appeared to not be working properly. However, there was nothing wrong with Google. SInce then, when I try to search by Google Image, the camera icon does not appear in the search bar. I have tried reinstalling Safari twice, but nothing changes. I have checked in Firefox and it shows up as expected.
I have cleared the cache, deleted cookies, and cleared browser history. None of these steps have produced any changes.
Also, I seem to have reverted to some earlier version of Google, since the search tools now appear on the top left, as show below.
Can you please assist me in sorting this out so that Safari and Google perform as expected.

I posted that work around on the google forums and it actually came from the Apple forums from users 'Society Girl' and refined by 'spiza' from this thread.

I called a friend at a tech magazine and he *cough* unofficially* cough* said via contacts it was a very deliberate move by Google... nothing to do with their upgrades or a hack coincidentally not working as a by product with old browsers.

In a separate thread, as spotted by a Reg reader who brought this sorry affair to our attention, user MadFranko008 was able to show that even modern browsers - including the current version of Chrome - were apparently spitting out glitches on Apple Mac computers.
Google then appeared to have resolved the search "bug" spotted in Chrome.

I hooked up itune and restore. after finished restores, it said my phone is in recovery mode and needs to be finish before using itune, my screen still show the itunes icon and power plug

I am not sure but unless the item is not phrased as a question, or does not have question in the Content it doesn not become active. I have seen this several times. And its always appeared for me when the person was just declaring a statement. and not asking anything.

Make an appointment at the genius bar are your nearest Apple store. At this point there is nothing you can do without a computer, so if you don't have one and don't know anyone who has one that you can use the Apple store is a good fallback.
