Unable to Validate Muse Subscription - fixes not working

I have the same problem that others have had with the error message "Unable to validate your Adobe Muse subscription.  We haven't been able to validate your Adobe Muse subscription  for some time. If you don't connect to the internet in the next few days, Adobe Muse will no longer be able to launch."
I subscribed to Muse in Dec. 2012 & have been billed monthly successfully for the last couple months, however I recently changed the card number to be charged - could that be the issue?
I am not signed up for Creative Cloud, which one of the discussion solutions seemed to mention, so might that be part of the problem?  But if so, why now after a couple months with no issues?
Where the error message mentions connecting to the internet, I'm not sure what that means or how to do that - does that have something to do with Cloud?
I'm building a new site & we're not yet ready to publish, so we aren't ready for hosting, but I'm hoping that is not part of the issue?
I've tried some of the solutions posted in discussions (e.g., deleting certain folders & files), but before I uninstall/reinstall Muse, I'm hoping someone can help.  I'm down to 1 day on the clock, so I'm hoping not to be shut out of Muse.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem this week. Amy via @AdobeMuse on Twitter sent me this solution:

In following the steps provided in this URL, I discovered that somehow the Firewall in Norton Security Suite had been set to block Muse, although all the other Adobe CC products were set to "Allow" in the Norton firewall.
By changing "Block" to "Allow," Muse now opens fine, but fair warning: I lost all the Muse sites I had been working on by following the other steps in this URL.
I suggest that the first step in the instructions in this URL should be changed to: check your firewall first to see if Muse has been blocked. If I had done that first, it appears that I would not have lost 10 months of work.

  • Reactive subscription was not working

    yesterday my reactivate of subscription was not working. and once I subscribe another one month call, the previous 3 month subscription is activated. which is rubbish. why there is no control to recurring subscription by manual. because this results in over spending to subscribe skype rubbish service since microsoft took over. the website is very slow. and user interface is owful!

  • My "Free Subscription" is not working.

    I got an offer to activate my free premium subcription to call anywhere and any number. All I had to do was put in my billing info and that was all. I did all of that, activated the subscription and still, I cannot call anywhere or any number ( not landline or mobile). It keeps telling me to  buy a subscription and when I look at my subcriptions IT is ALREADY there!!!!....
    What is the problem?

    Accordion or Tabbed panel should to it, with click and open container.

    I don't know since I don't share anything. You'll have to peruse the help files and check the permissions and ACLs on the Shared folder. According to the permissions on the Shared folder everyone can R&W. If you want those to be inherited by everything dropped into the folder, add an ACL for
    everyone allow read, write
    Details in the manpage for chmod. The actual steps are left as an exercise.

    Well I found nothing wrong in your post. So why even make a statement like the quote I included?
    Once more I am a retired government employee. So I have the time to post. Or has my rights been taken away to voice an opinion?
    Your posts was great you were not whining about your rights to file complaints to the FCC or FTC etc. One of the best I have read.
    And I am not trying to sway you from your phone choice. If you looked at my avitar it shows apple iphones. But I use and have used androids and not Windows phones.
    However your numbers of windows phone users all leaving over the issue is miniscule in the number of users of Android and iOS devices.
    I have written many times I wish all the devices get updated like iOS devices do. But at present that is not happening
    No bashing, no adversarial post just a little common sense is all I use.

    What is the complete error message? Are you using Windows or Mac? Did you try to disable anti virus while installing Adobe Muse?

  • Downloaded Muse before Creative Cloud. Muse there but not working, Paid for?

    I have just given my bank account details and paid to download Adobe Muse (it said nothing about having Creative Cloud open, etc)... Didn't know if I needed it open?
    Anyway, it said 'downloading Muse' I couldn't find it anywhere... then I realised I must need to have Creative Cloud - I installed/Opened Creative Cloud and there it is, Muse - right at the top of the menu... It says it is installed... I can't see it on my Mac HD in the Applications folder though. AND it will NOT open. It says I must uninstall. However, the uninstall feature is shaded out, so I CANNOT uninstall. I use this application at work and I need to be able to use it now.
    Please can you tell me how I can get Adobe Muse to work?
    Only other conditions:
    Using Mavericks
    Had a trial version of Muse on my machine (forgot to delete - deleted now and move to trashed after an uninstall of that version)

    Nobody at Adobe available to help. I need to be using this this weekend. It's not life or death, but it's my JOB on the line here.

    This is getting totally ridiculous now.
    Firstly, I have CS5/5.5 versions running on my machine.
    Secondly, I paid for and installed Adobe Muse.
    Thirdly, Adobe Muse wouldn't launch without telling me to reinstall Application Manager.
    Fourth, I kept on reinstalling the Application Manager and Adobe Muse would not work.
    Fifth, Adobe Muse 'uninstall' was shaded out, so I could not uninstall that either.
    Sixth, Adobe Muse eventually started working, but then ALL of my CS5 software STOPPED working.
    Seventh, I disconnected from the internet and Creative Cloud to see if my CS5 software would start to work - no, it did not.
    Eighth, I have now logged back into Creative Cloud and it is now saying 'Start trial' for Adobe Muse... remember, the software that I have actually paid for and downloaded has now turned itself into a trial.
    I am absolutely fed up to the back teeth.
    I am going to cancel my subscription if this new software and my OLD software do not start working today. This is totally ridiculous and has been going on for days and I cannot seem to get ANY help from you guys.
    Unfortunately, they didn't have ONE SINGLE MEMBER of staff available on the """""""24/7""""""" 'HELP'line.
    Adobe, you are a joke.
    I am calling your number first thing on Monday and if anybody answers (which I doubt) I will be cancelling my subscription and I require a full refund.

    I am an IT Professional working for a major University in Missouri. We have an Apple computer lab of 26 20" iMacs, all running Adobe Creative Cloud with an Enterprise license. This license includes Adobe Muse (with its own serial number). We use Active Directory to manage users/group policies on all computers, and manage users on our Apple computers.
    According to Adobe's support site, you can create a prov.xml file using APTEE and then apply it to serialize the Muse product installation for a computer lab environment.
    I can only get this to work for EXISTING users. When a NEW user logs in to his or her account, they run Muse, and it asks for a subscription, as though Muse is not serialized. According to Adobe, you click on Existing Subscription anyway, enter your Adobe ID, and then it should still open. It doesn't..........it says the "subscription does not have a license for Adobe Muse" and gives the option to BUY or QUIT.
    HELP!!!!!

  • Can Someone PLEASE Tell Me Why My Muse Site Will Not Work Upon HTML Export?

    Sorry for the long title!
    I've had a few threads going regarding troubles with my Muse site. These issues have been on-going, and once I was no longer able to upload to Fetch—and had to export to html via FileZilla—it just seems the problems continue to snowball.
    I have a web site. I will disclose the URL here now: www.jamescdarling.com
    When this site was html-based (its original form), using my yahoo small business web host and Fetch, it worked like a charm. All Flash files functioned at 100%, embedded videos/players all played great, etc. Then, I switched over to Muse 1.) because I was excited by the potential, and 2.) I wanted to re-design my site, anyway.
    So, I created my site in Muse, and uploaded it all into Fetch. I soon found that some of my Flash files and videos were not working. This was the case for a long time. I finally gave up after trying everything and asking lots of questions here.
    Just recently, I set out to fix these issues as I was afraid this half-assed site would appear to make me look unprofessional and like I had no idea how to use Flash. I had some problems with the new Muse Update (had to ditch Fetch and use "export with html" using FileZlilla). Changes made to my Muse file were not taking... and each time I viewed my updated site, the updates were not there—it still looked like the previous incarnation of the site. However, with some help from some of the good folks here, I was able to make my site not only update, but work nearly perfectly—or so I thought!
    I just clicked on my personal web site URL link in my LinkedIn page, and I see the old-looking site! The bookmark I have of my site is near-perfect—only the videos still will not load. However, it would seem that my site only functions as well as it does on MY computer only—that is, URL's I have been sending out probably are of the old non-functioning site? The changes I make are not being recognized.
    If you will, click on my above URL (in bold)..... If you click on "Resume", you should see light blue rules separating each section. But I bet you will see heavier gray bars with headers inside them. Also, if you view my Flash work, go to the "Epiphone Casino Mini Site".... the "Finshes" and "Features" pages' interactive elements will not function as they should (never mind the video page!)—but they work perfectly when accessing my site from my bookmark on my computer.
    Can someone please tell me how to make my site update web-wide, and how to get my Flash files to function?

    It seams a lot of folks are haveing issues with FTP upload. Try these areas to look at. Maybe the right answer. I dont use Flash on my sites for a long time now. Anyhow, check these out.

  • Podcast subscriptions do not work on otherwise good podcast

    I started using BluBrrys powerpress plugin on my wordpress site a few days ago and up untill this point its been fine, but I am having a really strange error that has me vexed

    The podcast feed I submitted to iTunes is: www.fantasticneighborhood.com/?feed=podcast

    So here is what's happening. The feed itself works fine in non iTunes platforms and passes validation, also works with the site plug in which plays it in article. If you go to the iTunes link in a browser you can listen to the first episode via the blue play button, and if you access the feed within itunes via the view in iTunes button and hit the download button for the individual episode, you can download the podcast.
    However, if you subscribe to the podcast, it will add it to your subscriptions and not find anything, not update. Even from there if I right click and hit "copy podcast url" it gives me a valid url. If I download the podcast via the individual podcast button, it shows up as a feed, but then if you try to update it, it will give you an unknown error message.
    Lastly, if I manually add the feed via advanced > subscribe to podcast, it will download the first epsiode and update correctly.
    I did make some changes to the feed after submitting in that I fixed the title of the podcast, but I would find it hard to believe that that could be the issue since the feed when manually added works great and it's only when it is taken from itunes. The enclosure name stayed the same as did all other info for the cast.
    I have looked at everything I could find and by all means this should work but it does not. I have tried deletingh the subscription and trying to resub to it but no luck.
    So has anyone else had this problem prior to this, and is there a solve? I have never worked with iTunes for a podcast before (this is my first) and I am under the impression that iTunes does not offer support to fix broken casts which worries me. Thanks in advance!

    The first thing that pops into my mind, is the Flash Player
    security settings. Usually these only play a role if your buttons
    are trying to access a internet address, but sometimes can affect
    local files also.
    Go to you Flash Player security settings (online settings)
    and add your swf to the Allow list.
    Note.
    I don't know how to get to the settings online, it never
    interested me. But if you change the link on one of your buttons to
    access a internet address like www.google.com, and try to click it
    from your local machine, the Flash Player Security screen should
    pop up and warn you that a "Unsafe Operation" was stopped, or
    something along those lines. If you click on the [Settings] button,
    it will take you to the online Flash Player settings.
    By the way, the Flash Security window does NOT come up from
    Test Movie. You need to open the SWF in Flash Player on your local
    drive.

    i really think skype monthly subscription offensive text removed does not provide the service that i paid for!
    i have subscribed the monthly calling plan. 
    however, recently, wheever  i try to make a call from skype mobile  app  or making skype phone call outside the skype app, it does not work at all. 
    the call ring a few times then jump to no answer. however,  my friend told that he have not receive any calls or have any missed calls during the time i made the call. 
    it makes i paid the subscription fee but cannot get the service being offered. my money is just wasted at all. 
    offensive text removed without any solution, offensive text removed i cannot find any technical.or customer support to submit my complain !
    i really want to ask how can i get back the money if i cannot get the service i asked. or how can i solve the problem in order to make the calls for what i paid for.

  • Urgent help - MUSE email form not working - PLEASE HELP

    I'm having a big issue here with Adobe Muse cc 7.0
    I have my personal domain www.shepherdtextiles.com
    and third party host (here in China which is 72e.net (and yes, got all php and so on requirements Adobe Muse needs)
    I follow carefully all steps to add a simple contact form, adding first [email protected] and changing it to my personal hotmail when I saw it wasn't working to try if with hotmail could work, but didn't.
    I have checked the Muse PHP Diagnostics  and as you can see the mail one failed.....
    I used first the simple contact form that comes with Muse and later I used one from museresources.com but none of them seemed to work
    I'm just guessing that something is not well setup on my server because I just follow all steps Adobe mentioned and I watched many videos where people do it very simple.
    The error I get on my website when I click on submit button is "The server encountered an error"
    There is NO error when I export to html or warnings, just exports fine.

    I'M having a similar problem with my Muse website Formally hosted by GoDaddy. The contact me widget does not send an email when you click submit button. Normally, it accepts with a green check mark in another screen. It does not do that. The submit just turns black when clicked, but nothing else happens
    THe he regular email works. I am able to send and receive. It just does not work with the contact widget

    The Muse slideshow widget i'm using is working fine in desktop version (on my Imac and Macbook Pro Retina), but the targets (buttons) are not working when i open the website in my Safari Ipad. When i open in Ipad Chrome, it's working fine.
