Unable to view and launch BR's

Hi all,
I am having an issue while trying to launch the BR through Workspace..
I am working on EPMA 11.1.1.3. I created new BR's through calculation manager and they are validated and deployed. but after deploying the rules and application, when I go into tools->Business rules none of the BR show up..
but, I was able to see there plan type and app type. it is not showing up the Launch option instead it is giving index=12 none for all the BR's..
some of the out of box BR were also not being shown up..
Any help is greatly appreciated..
Thanks

You seem to be hitting Bug 9324603: UNABLE TO SEE BUSINESS RULE NAMES IN PLANNING
You may apply the latest Planning and calc manager fix for 11.1.1.3. The issue was fixed in 11.1.1.3.04.
As a workaround, you may follow the below steps. Running the below steps would mean deleting all the existing rules in Planning and deploying them again. The below steps are required since Planning repository might have corrupted rules and need to be cleaned-up.
1. Navigate to calc manager-->Deployment View
2. Un-check all the rules in deployment view under the application
3. Select the application-->right click and deploy.
4. Navigate to Planning-->Business rules screen and make sure we do not have any launhcable/non launchable rules.
5. Navigate back to deployment view, check all the necessary rules.
6. Select the application-->right click and deploy.
7. Navigate to Planning-->Business Rules screen. All the rules should be visible in Planning and also launchable.
HTH-
Jasmine.

Please utilize any available uninstallers that are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.  Once all of the available uninstallers have been run you will then want to rerun the CC Cleaner Tool.  You can find directions on the use of the CC Cleaner Tool and a download link at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.  After the CC Cleaner Tool is run then please reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application from Creative Cloud Help | Creative Cloud for desktop.
The CC Cleaner Tool is designed to be used after running the uninstallers.  Without running the uninstallers first then a complete removal may not be possible.

  • Unable to view and access files

Since updating to Yosemite on my MacBook Pro (early 2011), I have been unable to view and access files on my time capsule. I can still access my backups through Time Machine, but not able to view or access the files that I saved onto the device (by method of copy and paste from my laptop hard drive to the TM). Before the "upgrade" to Yosemite I used to open Time Machine, close it, and then the icon of the TM (just like a typical external hard drive) would show up on the desktop. I would double click and open the TM icon and be able to view all the files that I saved onto the hard drive of the TM, as well as a folder that said "Time Machine Backups." Now, all I see now is my MacBrook Pro Icon and a folder named "File Server." and when I double click on either icon there is nothing to view. Please help!

    Try this..
Reset the TC to factory and redo the setup.. I strongly recommend the following setup.
    Factory reset universal
Power off the TC.. ie pull the power cord or power off at the wall.. wait 10sec.. hold in the reset button.. be gentle.. power on again still holding in reset.. and keep holding it in for another 10sec. You may need some help as it is hard to both hold in reset and apply power. It will show success by rapidly blinking the front led. Release the reset.. and wait a couple of min for the TC to reset and come back with factory settings. If the front LED doesn’t blink rapidly you missed it and simply try again. The reset is fairly fragile in these.. press it so you feel it just click and no more.. I have seen people bend the lever or even break it. I use a toothpick as tool.
N.B. None of your files on the hard disk of the TC are deleted.. this simply clears out the router settings of the TC.
    Setup the TC again.
ie Start from a factory reset. No files are lost on the hard disk doing this.
Then redo the setup from the computer with Yosemite.
    1. Use very short names.. NOT APPLE RECOMMENDED names. No spaces and pure alphanumerics.
eg TCgen5 and TCwifi for basestation and wireless respectively.
Even better if the issue is more wireless use TC24ghz and TC5ghz with fixed channels as this also seems to help stop the nonsense. But this can be tried in the second round.
    2. Use all passwords that also comply but can be a bit longer. ie 8-20 characters mixed case and numbers.. no non-alphanumerics.
    3. Ensure the TC always takes the same IP address.. you will need to do this on the main router using dhcp reservation.. or a bit more complex setup using static IP in the TC. But this is important.. having IP drift all over the place when Yosemite cannot remember its own name for 5 min after a reboot makes for poor networking. If the TC is main router it will not be an issue.
    4. Check your share name on the computer is not changing.. make sure it also complies with the above.. short no spaces and pure alphanumeric.. but this change will mess up your TM backup.. so be prepared to do a new full backup. Sorry.. keep this one for second round if you want to avoid a new backup.
    5. Mount the TC disk in the computer manually.
In Finder, Go, Connect to server from the top menu,
Type in SMB://192.168.0.254 (or whatever the TC ip is which you have now made static. As a router by default it is 10.0.1.1 and I encourage people to stick with that unless you know what you are doing).
You can use name.. SMB://TCgen5.local where you replace TCgen5 with your TC name.. local is the default domain of the TC and doesn't change.
However names are not so easy as IP address.. nor as reliable. At least not in Yosemite they aren't. The domain can also be an issue if you are not plugged or wireless directly to the TC.
    6. Make sure IPv6 is set to link-local only in the computer. For example wireless open the network preferences, wireless and advanced / TCP/IP.. and fix the IPv6. to link-local only. If you use ethernet also do it for ethernet.. this is important.
You can see the summary of the same thing from apple here.
OS X Yosemite: Connect to shared computers and file servers on a network
I have given somewhat more specific instructions which I believe are important.
With the TC manually mounted can you access the files??
If not please tell me and I will continue to think how to change permissions.
But please if you can at least open a directory and tell me what the permissions are currently set to.
eg. This is a directory on my TC.

  • Unable to view and use iphotos within imovie or idvd

I recently upgraded to iLife '06 and I would like to view and use my iphotos from within imovie. But for some reason I cannot. When I click on the media button, I can bring in any of my iTunes music. But when I click on the photos button, nothing, except for a message to launch iphoto2 or later appears. the Show Photo Settings button is present, but nothing happens when I click. I do keep my photo library on a second hard drive, not the one which stores the applications. I've rebuilt the database several times. any suggestions are appreciated. -ab

I discovered the root of the problem was an " & " used in the file name of my iPhoto library. That is evidently a no-no. After I renemed the library and restarted, all was working fine. -ab

  • Unable to view and navigate iTunes Store

    Hello All,
Hoping for a little help in diagnosing the problem I'm having with the iTunes Store since updating to 9.0.1(and 9.0.2).
The store connects but the homepage images and text are now positioned to the far left of the page and the text is hyperlink style. When I select an album cover the status bar on the top shows the page access in progress but no page loads. After about a minute, I get a error message stating that the "request was timed out."
The iTunes Store diagnositic check indicates that all connections are working but obviously there is something wrong.
I've added the latest XP updates and have checked all firewall/security setting are correct. I just can't figure out why the page format is off and why the rest of the store is unacessable.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanks.

Warning in advance, Tom, this is going to be experimental advice. But if you're game to try some experimentation ...
The store connects but the homepage images and text are now positioned to the far left of the page and the text is hyperlink style. When I select an album cover the status bar on the top shows the page access in progress but no page loads. After about a minute, I get a error message stating that the "request was timed out."
This may be an issue with your *Apple Application Support* rather than your iTunes itself. The new iTunes 9.0.x Store interface is webkit-based, and a bunch of the webkit machinery (including the webkit.dll itself) is stored in the Apple Application Support program files.
So let's try uninstalling both Apple Application Support and iTunes, and then reinstalling iTunes (which should also reinstall Apple Application Support).
    Preliminaries
First download and save a copy of the iTunes installer to your hard drive (don't run the install online, and don't run the install just yet):
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Now quit QuickTime and/or *Safari 4.0.4* if you have them open. (Both use Apple Application Support, and they will interfere with the Apple Application Support uninstall if they are open.)
    *Uninstall phase*
Head into your Add or Remove Programs Control Panel.
    Uninstall iTunes.
    Uninstall Apple Application Support.
(From this point onwards until Apple Application Support is reinstalled, if Safari 4.0.4 is present on your system it won't be able to run.)
Next we'll clear away any leftover iTunes and/or Apple Application Support program files and folders.
    (1) Open Local Disk (C:) located in My Computer or whichever hard disk your programs are installed on.
    (2) Open the Program Files folder.
    (3) Right-click the iTunes folder, choose Delete, and choose Yes when asked to confirm the deletion. Note: This folder may have already been deleted if iTunes was successfully uninstalled.
    (4) Open the Common Files folder.
    (5) Open the Apple folder
    (6) Right-click the Apple Application Support folder, choose Delete, and choose Yes when asked to confirm the deletion. Note: This folder may have already been deleted if Apple Application Support was successfully uninstalled.
Empty your recycle bin, and restart the PC. Now try another iTunes install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe file you downloaded earlier.
Does that install go through okay? If so, does iTunes start displaying the Store properly again?

  • Certain countries are unable to view iWeb's blog, etc.

    Hi,
I've been using iWeb for a while and I chose to keep a log for business with this product. I can't seem to locate a way to contact apple about iWeb so I hope I can get advice here. Many countries outside of the US are able to view the entire iWeb project that I've been working on, lately, it has come to my attention that a few key countries are unable to view and/or subscribe to rss. France/Netherlands/Spain in particular are unable to view the mobileme or apple set up. I have this set up on a personal domain, properly and people in the USA are able to view everything. What can be done? Do I keep iWeb as the news generator? I'm not sure what to do.
www.madonnaremixes.com is the domain for iWeb's logging.
    How do I fix this?

I've had several people, mostly in France (a couple others) who say "I'm unable to see this site."
Are you totally sure these people are using the correct url? You could ask them to email you what appears in the browser address bar and the exact error message they are seeing.

    Bye.

I've had the same problem. Gmail "upgraded" their system a couple of weeks ago and since then I am unable to view or download attachments from Gmail with Safari. I'm also unable to access any of the options for an email (such as forward, reply all, etc.) except for reply because the new drop-down list to access those features doesn't work. Thanks Gmail. My work-around is to use Firefox or Camino.

  • Unable to view custom folders (SQL)

    Hello
I've created an sql folder in "The Discoverer V5 EUL" BA.
Desktop users are unable to view and use reports based on the sql folder, although complex folder are available.
also, sql folders on other BA's are available
    can someone advise?

    Hi,
Try creating a view in the DB with the sql query, make a folder out of it and see if it works.
My guess is that the tables that you refer in the sql query might not be available in the schema of that particular BA.
Or are all your BA in the same schema??
    Thanks.

  • Desktop Manager Folders getting unchecked and Unable to Read and Modify Filters with DM...

Like most people I have sub folders within Outlook to keep clients and employees separated. I just upgraded to the 8330 from a Dino 7100i. I set up my folders under Email Settings, General, Choose Folders so that I can send email to the device that is important.
The problem is I stop getting email from employees randomly and when I go check the Desktop Manager (DM) the boxes are unchecked. I've never had this problem with the Old BB. The folder structure is only a few deep, meaning: Inbox\Employee\Employee folders that are checked or not checked.
    Desktop Manager v4.6
    BB 8330 Curve - Sprint Firmware 4.5.0.77
Anybody have any ideas? Your help will be greatly appreciated.
I'm also unable to view and edit my Filters in this version of DM. The window is unreadable and all jammed together..... am I the only one with this problem?

I am also having an issue viewing and editing my Filters.  They are all jammed together.  I have uninstalled the DM completely including all registry entries, recreated my profile in Outlook and reinstalled.  This has done nothing to fix the issue.  I am using DM v4.7, BB 8130 Pearl, Sprint Firmware 4.3.0.203, Outlook 2007 on a Vista Enterprise 32 bit machine.  Anyone have a fix for this issue?

Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Scroll back to the time you noted above.
Select the messages entered from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat, whichever comes first.
Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of it useless for solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
