Unble to play music cd's

My macbook pro, running os 10.6 with a Matsushita UJ-875 drive will read dvd's, burned dvd's, burned music cd's but does not recognize original music cd's. ITunes doesn't open the drive makes some noises and clicking and then ejects the disk. Any suggestions?

Some music disks have employed a copy protection scheme where the outer band of the disk is purposely made to be partially readable and invoke the computer to spit the disk out.
Simple remedy is to color the band black, this might work in your case, or it might not. The disk could be protected in other ways or just scratched or something.

My iPod touch will no longer play music or videos

I recently upgraded to ios 4. While a little slower, it was working OK.
Last night I bought a song from iTunes, normally I buy through my Mac, but I am not at home.
It stopped playing music. It is now slow, very very slow.
When I select the music icon, it takes a very long time to display the song list, it then becomes totally unresponsive, and finally goes back to the home screen.
Same behavior for video.
Any suggestions?

Managed to finally factory reset the unit (see my other post).

I'm unable to play music or podcasts using the iphone4 speakers.

I tried all the things that I read on other threads isuggested as well and I still cannot get the volume buttons to work when I try to play music or podcasts. I read a post on another site where someone suggested the phone is "stuck" or confused and is in Doc mode. For example, I am trying to play music right now and my phone thinks it's playing and the source selected is "Doc Connector" (my other option is Apple TV). I know there is not a problem with the speakers or the buttons themselves because I can play a voice memo using the phone speakers and the volume buttons work. Thanks.

if both itunes on the computer and on the phone dont show any then apple must not be offering that service in your country

Had the same issue with my Nissan Rogue 2011.
This listed below will fix it...
Go to General > Restrictions > CarPlay -- Make sure Carplay is DISABLED. (The new IOS 8 enables this on default)
Go to General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
The Nissan Rogue radio system was never designed to work with CarPlay. By default, CarPlay feature comes enabled when you install IOS 8. Suckz, right?

My iphone won't charge and won't play music anymore. I have tried reseting it and switching it off. Have tried 3 different chargeres and even a car charger. Does anyone know what could be wrong and how I can fix it?

I have an iPhone 4 not quite 2 years old. 2 nights ago my iPhone was on its charger and it kept vibrating as if it was being disconnected and re-connected from the charger. When I looked at it had an "error" message but now I don't know what that was as it was 3am and I was half asleep. I just diconnected the charger and the battery read fully charged.
The my volume wouldn't go up or down. The box with "ringer" in it came up but no bars at the bottom to show the volume is increasing or decreasing. It would not play music out of the speakers either even though the screen showed it was playing and it would not work in our dock/speaker unless I used bluetooth and even then, if we touched the volume button on the dock it would switch off.
I tried a "hard" reset 3 times and tried switching it off and on 3 times with no success.
I tried 3 different chargers including a car charger, plus the speaker dock with no success.
It is now out of battery and I cannot charge it.
The iPhone also would not back anything up prior to the battery going flat.
I just need to know if it is fixable or do I need to start looking for a new phone?

IPhone 6 won't play music

I just got my new iPhone 6 and restored my 4s to it. All the apps loaded up, but only Kenny Loggins songs will play. When I push the play button from the quick menu that pops up from the bottom of the screen, there is no response for about 17 seconds (it shows the name of the song, but no music plays). Then the screen goes black with a white apple. Then 11 seconds later my welcome screen appears.
If I try to play a song from the Music app, the music does not play and the phone get's hot pretty quickly.
The iPhone started life as a mp3 player. Now it does everything but play mp3's.

IPhone 4S won't play music from internal speaker

My iPhone 4S is having an issue with the internal speaker. Originally, I was able to play music from iTunes, Pandora, videos, etc. w/out having headphones or an external speaker system connected to the audio input. Now, the phone isn't playing back sound from the internal speaker, unless I have headphones/speaker connected. Keyboard clicks and text message alerts are also not coming through, even though that option is turned on. The Ring/Silent button is on, the volume is on high, and I've also restarted the phone a few times. The only way I've got the internal speaker to play w/out having an external speaker system connected to the audio input is if I test different ringers; then it will playback, but not for any other audio format (videos, songs, keyboard clicks, etc.)
Any ideas on how to fix this issue? I'm out of ideas...Thank you!!

Problem with iTunes. I have Windows 8 on a new laptop. Installed latest version of iTunes. Can play music in My Library but when I click on Itunes Store I get the message "iTunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Crackling sound while playing music in HP SPECTRE 15-4010nr Ultrabook

Hi all,
I have recently bought [4th Jan. 2013 ] HP SPECTRE 15-4010nr Touchsmart ultrabook with beats audio.
I am very unhappy with sudden/random crackling bursts of noise while playing music.
The problem is not restricted to hp inbuilt speakers as it also reaches on headphones, so it's something internal to laptop.
Its really disappointing to have such a bugging issue from this high end laptop.
Please let me know if there is a solution to this problem.

Yeah even for me it seems unhooking power adapter does the trick !
Even my Laptop is just 4 weeks, how could manufacturers let so common bug seep through their high end laptops.
Are these not tested for audio video quality ?
Anyways I need an alternate fix as I do not want to lose my laptop for a month, in exchange or return process.
P.S.: Sound drivers re-installation is of no use.

I have transfered my i tunes lebrary to an exterbal hard drive, and when i try to play music in i tunes a message comes up:

The way that usually works best is to move the entire iTunes folder folder from the current location to X:\iTunes where X: is the letter of the external drive.
If you moved the iTunes Media folder "by hand" instead of using iTunes to relocate the media folder then:
Move the main iTunes folder to X:\iTunes
Move iTunes Media inside it as X:\iTunes\iTunes Media
Press and hold down the shift key as you click the icon to start iTunes
Keep holding until asked to choose or create a library.
(If iTunes opens normally/with an empty library close it and go back to step 3)
Click choose and open X:\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Google Play Music and SD Card not possible?

Good morning,
Google launched the Play Music All Access in Germany last night, also the newest version of the Play Music App. On the Xperia Z1 there is the new "Save to SD Card" option, but not on the Tablet Z. Is this a only a problem on my Tablet Z or can you also not access this option on your tablet?

This service is not available in Sweden so i can't test this but Tablet Z also has the move to SD-card option under Settings -> Storage. Make sure you're using the primary account though. If you have more then one user account, only the primary can access the SD-card.
