Understanding that the iPhone 5 won’t support simultaneous voice and data transmissions over Verizon LTE network will it ever be able to support VoLTE (Voice over LTE)? Could Apple add VoLTE support later on? It seems pretty clear the MDM9615 chip supports VoLTE but the baseband software by Apple does not. Could Apple add it to the baseband later on? When will Verizon turn-on/enable VoLTE?

Well in my research Verizon is already testing Voice Over LTE in select markets via a few news releases, and rumor has it that a few smartphones are already VoLTE ready. http://news.verizonwireless.com/news/2011/02/pr2011-02-09f.html

Why is it that the iPhone 3GS still recieves updates but the iPhone 3G does not ?
I dont understand why apple has chosen, to keep the 3GS going, for $0.99 on AT&T, i understand that the iPhone 3G was discontinued around 2011, but why couldnt they still make lite versins of the firmware, for example 4.2.1 lacks some features. They could have very well done that wirh 4.3.3 and 5.0.1
The processor is too slow and there is not enough RAM in the 3G for iOS 5.

<Email Edited By Host>Your iPhone cannot be hacked unless it is jailbroken. However, your Apple ID is easily hackable, especially if you post your Apple ID for millions of people to see and you have a weak password.
Start by changing your Apple ID password, and all other passwords that might be stored on the phone.
I suspect jailbroken, however, because even having access to an Apple ID would not allow someone to delete apps. -
I want to sync my I phone user name (my current e-mail address) with my iPad, PC user name (old e-mail address.) If I delete that current address in the iPhone, won't I also be deleting it in my other devices? They are synced. I don't want to lose it. I just want to get it out of the way on my iphone so it doesn't confuse the transfer of ID names and then I want it back again.. I tried deleting the cloud account, being told the current e-mails would be spared. But all it did was pop up a prompt asking me for the password to my still current email ID. So I assume now that I have to go to mail and get rid of the e-mail account. But I'm scared I'll lose everything in my other devices too.
You can change the email address you use as your apple ID. this doesn't mean you have to delete the old email address as email.
When you delete an email from your device, it is only removed from the device, it does not delete your emails or the email account. -
Hi there.
Have an iphone 3G and wen to install the Facebook app from the app store. Wen I selected install app, it said that the iphone requires IOS 4.3.
I then plugged the phone into itunes and it said the phone was up to date (IOS 4.2.2 I think it said?). How can i install these apps, the same happened and other apps i tried to install. Any advice would be much apprecaitedUnfortunately there is nothing that you can do and you CAN'T install these apps becuse your phone is too old. A 3G cannot be updated beyond iOS 4.2, which is the most it can support and these apps need iOS 4.3 or above to be installed and there are no versions of these apps available.
Developers have to place a cut off somewhere and keep developing for the most recent software that does not now include the 3G.
If you want to install these apps on your phone, then you will have to upgrade to either an iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4, 4s or 5. That is all you can do because you won't be able to download these apps on an iPhone 3G - just not possible any longer. -

Unless you purchased the iPhone direct from Apple in the UK and paid full price either on line or In an Apple Store then it will be locked to a UK Carrier and only that carrier can arrange unlocking
It is unlikely that the iPad is similarly locked as most are sold carrier free unless specifically purchased from a UK carrier as part of a packaged deal involving a subsidy on the price of the iPad ( not very likely but they do exist ) -
sorry but I think this wrong, I know that in Colombia there and two of the three operators already have 4G/LTE networks, what happens is that the iPhone should be expected to send the update software for computers that have this tercnologia activate them, that my Iphone or receiving 5 supports 4G LTE,

I am trying to restore my iphone and it keeps telling me that the iphone cannot be restored. It also tells me that the iphone cannot do the requested rebuild, or something like that.
Open a terminal window and enter:
sudo vi /etc/hosts
You will be prompted for your login password, then you will see the contents of the hosts file in the vi editor. It should look like this:

If there are any lines that contain "gs.apple.com" you must delete them. If you are not familiar with the vi editor:
press <return> until the cursor is on a line that contains gs.apple.com
type "dd" (without the quotes) (you won't see the dd as you type)
repeat until all of the gs.apple.com lines are gone
type ":wq" or "ZZ" (note that :wq is lower case and ZZ is upper case) -

I bought a new iPhone 4 with iOS 6.1.3 installed. When I connected it to itunes for the first time to activate it iTunes asked me to enter the password for an account that the iPhone is locked to like if the device was used before what shall I do? PLease reply soonI can't do that because the device was purchased from United Arab Emirates and I got it as a gift in Syria but the problem is that there is not even a single apple store in Syria so is there another way to fix that, I googled it and was told to jailbreak the device whitch I did and than hacktivated it but the problem is the device doesn't connect to any network and only shows "no service" and the battery draining too fast so is there any other way to fix this issue

i tried to up date my i phone 4 to iOS 5 then it wiped my phone and now it tells me to connect to iTunes and that the iPhone is in recovery mode and when i connect it goes to preparing to install to iPhone but never goes any further how do i restore the phone
by reset option do you mean the DFU restore? worked for me, have you tried that?
if not - hold the lock and home button until the power down bar comes up. then hold the lock button for ten seconds - next continue to hold the lock button and press the home button for ten seconds - next release the lock button and hold the home button for 10 seconds. this should be done with the phone tethered. If done right and your itunes is configured as such, the phone will reload the drivers and start up itunes, and then prompt for a restore/update. -
