Uninstall Elements 8? and Elements 11 on 2 computers?

Do I need to uninstall Photoshop Elements 8 if I am going to install Elements 11? And, can I  put Elements 11 on two of my  computers?

No. Leave PSE8 installed and then you can automatically convert the existing catalog as you install PSE11.
You are permitted two activations.

  • How to uninstall CS6 Indesign and Photoshop silently?

    Hello,
We have a situation where we have to uninstall CS6 Indesign and Photoshop from dozens of computers. I would like to do this silently using Psexec or SCCM. So far I haven't been able to figure out how to do that. We have installed both using a msi file and I have tried command "msiexec.exe /uninstall C:\Temp\Build\indesigncs6.msi /quiet" for indesign but nothing happens. When taking the quiet command away I get an error saying "This feature can only be used to programs that have been installed". The error message has been roughly translated from Finnish so it probalbly isn't excatly the same in English versions. Obviously this computer has Indesign installed.
    I have also tried the PDApp.exe, but haven't been able to run that silently either. Command I've tried is C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\PDApp.exe --appletID="DWA_UI" --appletVersion="2.0" --mode="silent" --mediaSignature="{CFB770D7-8D43-1014-922B-CC2715FADE3F}"
Is there a person who has successfully been able to silently uninstall Adobe Indesign or Photoshop CS6? If there is can you please tell us how to do it?

Thanks for answering. I tried to contact Adobe Support, but could not find out how to do that. I went to the Adobe Contact site and filled in what kind of problem I have and it just suggests that I ask from the community. If I try anything else it just leads me to the beginning.
You are absolutely correct that the CC Cleaner Tool is the way to do this. I have been able to generate cleanup.xml and used it. The problem is that the tool only finds Adobe Photoshop CS6 Driver version 13.0, Adobe Indesign CS6 Application Base Files version 8.0 and Adboe ID Credentials. It deletes these very efficiently and quietly. Problem is that it does not uninstall the whole program. For example all Adobe programs are still in the Start Menu and the Indesign folder is still found where it used to be. Have you any experience on this kind of problem?
    Thank you in advance

Because I listened to Adobe earlier today about whither uninstalling Elements would affect Photoshop and Lightroom on my computer, Lightroom no longer sees Photoshop in the EDIT IN Menu of Lightroom. I found an article on the help site saying to delete the filecom.adobe.Photoshop.plist, which I looked for, its not there so it can't be deleted. The next step is to uninstall Photoshop and reinstall. This isn't an option because of all the plug-ins and modifications of the work space. Does any one have a better solution?

  • I have Elements 12 on my pc.  I installed elements 13 but it will not boot up. Both products are registered with Adobe. When I sign in to 13 and then accept the software agreement it does not load.  Do I need to uninstall Elements 12?

Pertaining to my question above.....I have uninstalled Elements 13 and then re-installed but I have the same problem as stated above.  Any ideas on how to solve my problem?  Elements 12 boots up just fine.

You should not have to uninstall Premiere Elements 12/12.1 in order to install and run Premiere Elements 13 on the same computer unless your computer is overloaded and the computer resources are compromised. Just use one program at a time.
Can you still use 12/12.1 on this same computer that will not let you use 13?
What specific Window operating system are you using?
Let us go through the usual drill...
    1. Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
    2. Are you using a pen and tablet device instead of a mouse?
    3. Did you install the program with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
    4. Disable the SLCache Folder found in Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit
    Local Disk C
    Program Files (x86)
    Common Files
    Adobe
and in the Adobe Folder should be the SL Cache Folder that you delete or disable by renaming the Folder
    from SLCache to SLCacheOLD.
    5. Are you running the program as Administrator and is the latest version of QuickTime installed on the same
    computer as Premiere Elements 13?
Let us start here and then decide what next.
    Thank you.

  • Are there instructions to uninstall Elements 7 and Elements 10

    Hello,
Could somebody please help me?  I purchased a new laptop and I have to return it because it's been giving me a lot of problems.  I have to uninstall Elements 7 and Elements 10 before I return it.
Are there specific instructions and links to uninstall these 2 programs?
Or, can I just use the Windows uninstall programs to completely uninstall them?
    Thanks for your assistance!

Oh, you don't go to regular support for activation. If you're in the US, you just call this number:

    Good morning, Barbara.
Oh I see, I didn't know that.  I called the regular 1-800-585-0774 number.  I had to wait for 18 mins to get a regular person, which then put me on hold for another long time, then she transferred me - and the line just kept on ringing and ringing.  All in all, I waited for 1 hour and 5 minutes, until I went to chat with the Adobe lady - even while I was chatting with her the phone just kept on ringing.  So, no, I'm not impressed with the kind of phone support they gave me.
Thanks for the number.  After your last message I decided to just uninstall the thing.  Then I uninstalled a couple of other things and ran a System Restore.  The laptop is all packed and ready to go, I'll be going to the post office to mail it back to QVC in a little while.
Thanks for your assistance.  Have a great weekend.

photoshop elements 12 editor doesn't open, organizer is fine. I uninstalled the program and re-installed it (restarted the computer each time)...didn't solve the problem. using pc, windows 8.1
can someone help me with this issue?

Two suggestions:  the first one is a workaround. You just have to drill down your program file tree to Adobe Photoshop Elements Organizer and find the .exe file - the one specifically for Organizer, not Elements.  Make a shortcut to that file on your desktop and it will open Organizer. The second suggestion resolved the problem altogether for me. I actually called Dell and after working with several different techs over several different days, I talked to a tech in premium support who was excellent. I discovered from them that it is actually a problem with the windows system files. I have 8.1.  I went through a "refresh" on my computer which rebuilt all the files. Then reinstalled Adobe as well as my other programs again and Photoshop Elements Organizer works from the standard desktop shortcut.

  • Downloaded elements 12, said to uninstall and try again, uninstalled CS6 as I thought that was the problem, then tried to also uninstall Elements 12 and it couldn't uninstall elements 12. Now what?

Tried to install Elements 12. It said to uninstall and try again as it couldn't open. Remembered I have CS6 on there so I uninstalled that, then tried to uninstall Elements 12 but now Elements 12 cannot be completely uninstalled. Now what should I do?

Just tried putting the disc in, clicked on "install" and it attempted to uninstall the program but again failed so now I can't install it at all. Anyone know the phone number for Adobe so they can help me? They of course don't post it on their website. :/

  • Uninstall elements 3 and Album 2 after Elements 4 Install?

Can I safely uninstall Elements 3 and Photoshop Album 2 after successful Elements 4 install? (No photos lost, no problems with Elements 4 afterwards?) Thanks
    operating system: winxp.

    S Burns,
It has been reported on this board that uninstalling a version of elements will uninstall the Adobe Gamma utility concominantly. This is undesirable, and would necessitate a reinstallation should you desire this function for monitor calibration.
Unless one is pressed for disk space, I would retain both versions.
I don't know anything about a potential downside to deleting Album 2.

  • Installed Elements 12 and need to uninstall Elements 5.  Do not have Elements 5 disk.  Windows XP SP3

I recently installed Photoshop Elements 12 and need to uninstall Elements 5.  I am using Windows XP SP3 and when I go to "add or remove programs" and select remove, it asks me to use the original disk which I am unable to find.  I would like to do a clean uninstall.  Is there some type of tool or program?  Please be explicit.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You don't have to uninstall Boot Camp 4 drivers before installing Boot Camp 5 drivers. Boot Camp 5 drivers will simply overwrite Boot Camp 4 drivers, so you don't have to uninstall old drivers before installing new ones and making that process easier

  • How do I uninstall Elements Organizer while keeping Elements.

Organizer has messed up the alphabetical sorting of my thousands of files even while viewing them with Picasa viewer.
    This is truly unbelievable.
So far, the thousands of Google hits concerning uninstalling Organizer have returned either asinine replies or Rube Goldberg contraptions.
I'm a newbie in Elements/Organizer after deciding to go the paid way instead of using GIMP/Picasa and other freebies for I don't know how long..
    What a disapointment! What a let-down!

You can't uninstall the organizer and keep the editor, but you don't have to use the organizer. Many people don't. Just use file>open in the editor instead.

  • Uninstalling Elements 7

Just installed Elements 10.  Using Windows Vista cannot find Elements 7 in Control Panel program list to delete its associated files.  Don't want to risk just deleting the files.  Any thoughts?  Thanks

Having just been through a 7 day nightmare simply trying to load Ver 12.
I would uninstall your latest version - get on the phone to Adobe and ask them to get a decent techy to remove all the crap, that is left behind that may/will cause you problems in the future.
Eg if you have to uninstall and then try and reinstall bet you will have an issue or 2.
B then they may have forgotten how that version works, or will try to use current license clean up tools that are in appropriate.
Call me cynical but 27 years in the computer industry taught me how to smell crap support from 20 miles away!.  There's is the worst in the industry that i have come across.
Finally I got one clued up guy or I would still be down with the splash screen offering me the opportunity to buy the product again because my Trial version has expired [ er sorry I never had a trial version! ]
Basically they should invest the time to write a decent uninstall program. And ... Stop leaving this Cloud licensing crap behind after you uninstall.
I strongly suspect they deliberately leave behind a load of Malware; to help them lock you [in the future] into their 'Cloud' dream.
Personally having sufferred their support departments, incompetence and their dreadful 'Chat' support - the thought of putting any of my data or pictures, in their hands makes me shudder.
Even if they offered my the latest Lightroom and Full Photoshop free for 5 years on their Cloud, the answer would be raptuous laughter!
Dont' beleive me? look to see how many people have uninstall and installation issues. My case rests!
Only thing I find hard to comprehend is how can they have engineers, that can build extremely complex and good editing software yet not manage to build a simple working uninstall/installation/ licensing  program!

  • I cannot uninstall Elements 13, (nor open  it).  It has made a disaster of my previously working cmputer

    I cannot uninstall elements 13.

try this program Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall probl…That will remove ALL parts of the program
I sort of feel there is some sort of drama between the old elements program and the new one.
