Unique Person

Dear All,
            I am using BEx Query Designer. I am making a report on an infoset. I use 0person. and the query gives info on a person basis. Problem is 0person is not unique since 1 person can have 2 hiredates. Is there a way where the query can be designed is such a way that only a unique person would be shown with the latest hiredate, if not that any 1 particular hiredate.Basically 0person should not repeat.
Regards,
Jack Silverz

Dear SDBI,
          That option is already ticked in the query. 0person is displayed as key too. But still person is repeating.
Regards,
Jack Silverz

  • Merge data to create multiple personalized videos

    In After Effects, is it possible to create layers that allow for merged data to be imported so as to export multiple personalized videos?

    I envision one 'master' video with text layers that call for data inputs. Similar to a mail merge process, a unique 'personalized' instance of the video would be created from each name in the datalist. If I have 50 names I'd render 50 new videos, each one unique.
    Is this possible?
    Thank you!!

  • Philosophy to share files in a small Mac office ?

    So, I work in a small office. 4 Macs, they are all integrated in a campus network, connected to the internet and to printers; here is not the problem. My question is about the best way to share a bunch of files, so that any of these Macs can read and modify them, but keeping it as simple, inexpensive, and consumer-grade as possible (that is without Mac OS X Server).
    The status quo is as following :
    We have 3 individual "working-stations" (e.g. iMac G4, G4 Cube, MBP). Each of us has its own, and logs each morning on it's unique personal account. Let's call them (1), (2), and (3).
    To share files, we have set up a fourth Mac (actually an old yosemite G3, OS 10.3), with a single account called "team". On this Mac are all the shared files (in Users/team/Documents/), and they all belong to "team".
    To access them from the working stations (1), (2), and (3), we connect to this G3 as user "team", and copy, modify, and replace files on it. That way the user "team" is always the owner of all files on this Mac.
    It's easy to backup, and via filemaker sharing, we also share an address database from this "pseudo-file-server".
    Ok, so in prinicple it works (it worked for some years now).
    But it's probably not the best solution. I would like to use Time Machine on a new iMac Core2Duo to backup the shared files, and (if possible) get rid of the extra humming computer. I tried in the past to put the account "team", together with one of the users (say "1") on a single Mac. Nice, with fast user swithching. But then I didn't manage to access the files of "team" from account "1" without messing with the file permissions (In principle I had put the files to share in Users/team/Public -- it was on 10.3)
    There are perhaps new possibilities with Leopard -- What would you do to share those files ? Any ideas welcome !

    Here is one possible lead. It's only one lead and I'm sure there are many other ones people here will pass on to you.
    I'm using an old PC box with four hardware RAIDed drives and Linux.
    Then, the software solution is to use Samba, as file server. Samba allows to force all files dropped on one "share" to be owned by one single user (a user created for that purpose on the Linux box).
    [public]
    comment = Public service for some users
    path = /extra/smb/public
    force user = nobody
    force group = nobody
    writeable = Yes
    create mask = 0644
    guest ok = Yes
    follow symlinks = No
    The macs mount this service through CIFS as (example) CIFS://TVNLINUX.SOMEDOMAIN.COM/PUBLIC/
    SMB protocol is Ok too, of course.
    This can be done without requiring a matching user name on all Macs. The Samba server does the user mapping.
    Ok. This doesn't get you with a practical project to jump start on, but you can investigate into solutions that can do alike: remapping users to a default server-side user. If you know some geek that can set you up this kind of box, that's a great solution. It's been running here for some 10 years, and has accommodate everyone since OS 8.
    On the other hand, I don't know if Time Machine will back it up. I've fired it and don't see it interested in this network mounted drive. We do back it up, but with simple replications to another system. The RAID helps us with a good level of service. Backups are to protect us from accidental deletions.
    I hope this helps.

  • How to prevent release of PO by not more than one officials at a time

    HI
    Two questions.
    1) For PO
    I am configuring the release process for one Client.
    I successfully configured a release strategy with 4 official names. GM. SGM, VP and CEO.
    When I tried to do individual release through ME29N, I am able to see all the 4 personals and I could activate all the four codes.
    But this should not happen after Go-Live, right.
    How do we go about it.
    Is it possible with Authorization Matrix control.
    2) for PR
    For one company code, there are Project PRs, General PRs
    In both the cases, Budgeted and Non budgeted PRs will be there. --> I seperated Non Budgeted with different document type ZBB and Budgeted kept with standard NB
    For Genral PRs, there are 7 departments to create PRs.
    in each department there are 3 people to release based on value. and finally one CEO for all.

    Sorry, second questin not completed. By mistake it was posted un completedly.
    One particular department people sit at different locations 6 places ( in three contries). Luckyly, they are all assigned to separate purchasing Group and hence can be managed.
    But, my problem is how th system identifies the unique person of different department.
    Shall I need to make seperate document types for each department ?
    Please study the whole process and give me best practises solution.
    I will be thank ful to you.
    Best regards,
    Atchyuth. K

  • Find via network does not work

    Hi..I´m having a big trouble when trying to find images by it´s keywork when they are stored in my company server. Let´s explain
    I take some photos or even work with Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign files. I set different keyword for the files and move it to a central folder in my server, where everyone inside the company has acess.
    The problem is: Nobody is able to find that images...In Adobe Bridge (Cs3 or CS4) they go  Edit > Find, set the criteria and run the search > not done. The unique person able to find that images by searching  via keywork is myself inside my own computer (the one I´ve set files´ keywords)
    I´ve tried everithing, check options in find dialog box, triing to centralize a cache folder in server and pointing all the bridges to that folders, purge and export cache to folders, and so on, but I do not know if it´s anything related to cache.
    In Resume, nobody is able to find images by any criteria if they are stored inside server (just the people that set keyword is able).
    How to solve it?
    Thank you a lot
    Gustavo.

    This question has been asked many times, but no one responds back as how they solved the problem.
    Seen this recent link.  It sounds like you have tried suggestions at end of post #1, and it did not work.
    If you find something that does work please post back to help others.

    How to use Client Authentication with SOAP Adapter
    Am new to this security settings stuffs , i hear that we have to maintainn keys in visual admin and then later authenticate , am confused all around
    My Question
    1) Who would provide the Key or certificate ?
    2) Should we generate and give it to client r is it given by the client??
    3) Where to maintain these key , i know in visual admin , but what r the steps and which place ?
    $) How to use this to get authenticated with SOAP Sender Adapter ?
    Can any one elobrate this in details and provide any more links on this.
    thx in advance for help
    with regards

    HI
    1.These will be provided by th Client or they can be downloaded from the website n then the Basis Team or the System Adminstrator will do the needful for us.
    2.it depends , if the client wishes to give to us he will give or Basis team will be helping us in this Query.
    Digital certificates
    A digital certificate is an electronic "credit card" that establishes your credentials when doing business or other transactions on the Web. It is issued by a certification authority (CA). It contains your name, a serial number, expiration dates, a copy of the certificate holder's public key (used for encrypting messages and digital signatures), and the digital signature of the certificate-issuing authority so that a recipient can verify that the certificate is real. Some digital certificates conform to a standard, X.509. Digital certificates can be kept in registries so that authenticating users can look up other users' public keys.
    Certificates are issued by Certifying Authority(CA) for people or an organization. This is used to identify unique person or unique organization.

  • Problem with Java Multithreading Synchronization

    I'm not able to synchronize a block of my code using synchronized keyword for the method.
    Ideally if a method is synchronized, only 1 thread can access across multiple threads. But output is executing in that manner.
    Code attached below
    class SyncClass
         synchronized void synMthd(String s)
              System.out.println("[ "+s);
              try
                   Thread.sleep(3000);
              catch(Exception e)
                   System.out.println(e);
              System.out.println(" ]");
    class Test implements Runnable
         public static void main(String ar[])
              Test tt = new Test();
              Thread t1 = new Thread(tt,"T1");
              Thread t2 = new Thread(tt,"T2");
              t1.start();
              t2.start();
         public void run()
              SyncClass syn = new SyncClass();
              Thread th = Thread.currentThread();
    //          synchronized(syn)
                   syn.synMthd(th.getName());
    when I'm executing this code, both the threads accessing synMthd method simultaneously.
    Please help me on this.

    That's because each thread is invoking the method on a unique personal instance of SyncClass. There is nothing shared between the two threads; thread T1 will put a lock on its own instance of SyncClass and Thread T2 will put a lock on its own instance of SyncClass; they won't ever see each other's locks.
    Try modifying your code such that the threads call synMthd on the exact same instance of SyncClass because that's when things are likely to go boom when concurrently running code.
    And btw: use \ tags to post code to make it readable.

    Why is the FaceTime ring so low on the iPad 4th gen? I could barely hear it when it rings.  I tell my friends to text me first so I wii know

    Are you also using the same Apple ID for FaceTime, as listed under Settings > FaceTime?
    If so, don't.  While it's perfectly okay to share an Apple ID for iTunes & App Store, you shouldn't share an Apple ID with another person for the following:
    iCloud
    FaceTime
    Messages
    Use a unique personal Apple ID.  Whoever is the actual owner of the current Apple ID needs to keep using that.  The other person needs to make their own Apple ID, and use that for iCloud, FaceTime & Messages.  Maybe even Game Center to be on the safe side.

  • How to calibrate both 23" Displays the same ?

    Through preferences ... I can calibrate the display in Expert mode ...ok. an then going through the colorsync utility I can see all the settings ... but is there a way
    to kinda copy and paste these settings to a second display ?
    I guess there must be ... and one of you experts is gonna tell me. ...
    Thanks

    Well...actually...no. You have to calibrate the displays independently. The whole purpose of calibration is to adjust each display based on it's unique "personality". Trying to get two displays in sync "by eye" will drive you nuts. Even if you could select the same profile for each unit, the variations from one display to another will cause a mismatch. In order to do this properly, you need a calibration instrument and software (Spyder, Eye One, etc.)

  • Crystal Report Question on query

    I am trying to design a report to where it lists a name of a unique person in a table and totals the amount of money they owe. Essentially it's a letter for parking tickets and it will total all the fine amounts for that individual person. I don't know how to design the report to produce this result and how to design the query to produce this result.

    Hi, I copied the question, so I would not miss anything.
    I am trying to design a report to where it lists a name of a unique person in a table and totals the amount of money they owe. Essentially it's a letter for parking tickets and it will total all the fine amounts for that individual person. I don't know how to design the report to produce this result and how to design the query to produce this result.
    First off, depending on your version of CR, some of the instructions may not be correct.  I have CRXI
    Create a group based on the persons information (I assume you would have a drivers license number, or something you could group off of.  You may also want to group off date/time or amount.
    In your details section drop in whatever fields you wish to return from the Database.
    When you run your report, you should see all the records, sorted by the persons Id and then the date.
    Now, this will be more data than you want, so you can use the select expert to limit what is returned.   For example if the ticket is paid, you do not need to send a letter.  The select statement will look something like this, if your field that indicates a ticket is paid is ticket_#              not ({Ticket_#} like "paid")    So if Paid shows up in that field, the record is suppressed.   Also, look at the example reports, they may help you get some id's

    Some thing wrong in my program? Please help me.
    I am trying to create a TreeSet. I have created a class by name Person which implements equals(Object obj) method. Hello gimbal2,
    Thanks for your response...
    In my project I have created a class with name DBVersionUniqueId but my lead said no to it.
    Only DBUniqueId should be used and make it work with or with out version fields.
    I tried experimenting around, but didn't succeed.
    Please Suggest some solution to make it work with DBUniqueId class.
    Thank You.No, let your lead write the code. He/she seems to be the expert. I certainly have no clue how to do it and honestly I also cannot find any reason why it should be possible. Let me put what is required in other words:
    - you have an entity with three properties, all of which are not transient. This means these properties map to three columns in the database according to the JPA specs.
    - you have a table with only two properties
    - you must and you shall use the object with three properties but at the same time one of the fields must all of a sudden be ignored by the persistence provider
    It makes no sense to want to do that.
    Correct answer: create a new object with only the two fields so the database and the object model match exactly
    Wrong answer: try to create workarounds that in six months time nobody is going to understand why the hell it was done that way

  • The wait is over: Android 5.0 Lollipop will begin public rollout today

    By tech2 News Staff /  04 Nov 2014 , 14:07For those of you who had been eagerly awaiting Android’s latest OS release, the Android Official Blog has put out a post saying that Android 5.0 Lollipop has started rolling out today. Google has confirmed that Android 5.0 Lollipop would be coming to all the Nexus devices – Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and tablets Nexus 7 (2012 and 2013 editi0ns) and Nexus 10. The Nexus 9 which has launched internationally comes baked in with Lollipop and so will the Google Nexus 6 when it comes out.Speaking on the importance of Material Design, the blog goes on to say, “A number of apps that you know and love have been working hard to build material design into their framework. It is important that every app be able to take on its own unique personality and experience while fitting in the larger system.” We have just seen the rollout of the new Gmail 5.0 app along with the Calender app, both of which come with Material Design. We are sure more Google apps will get the Material Design treatment soon.Motorola has confirmed the update to a majority of its phones available in the market, including the Moto X (1st Gen. & 2nd Gen.), Moto G (1st Gen. & 2nd Gen.), Moto G with 4G LTE, Moto E, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini. The latest update is that the Moto E, Moto G and Moto X devices would be getting the Lollipop updates within a month’s time.Apart from that Sony’s Z-series smartphones and tablets will be receiving the update as well. “We’ll be making Sony Mobile’s Android L upgrade available for the entire premium Z series: including Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.” Sony announced on its website.Similarly, HTC confirmed that it will be rolling out the Android L update within 90 days of receiving the final software from Google. However, it has only announced the update for its HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 devices as of now. Other select HTC devices will receive the update later on.For those of you who already own Nexus devices and can’t wait for the Lollipop update notification can manually check for one. Just head to Settings>About Phone>System Update>Check Now.

    Hi supercujo What's the rush? I have a sony Xperia Z1 and I will wait until Sony and Telstra approve the up grade. My phone is working fine on 4.4.4. In 9 months time when my contract finishes I'll buy the lattest and by them we'll probably be saying Lollypop what? I can't understand why people must have the latest update only to find it does precious little to their out of date hardware of their existing phone. My phone is not a toy as I use it for business and some private work. JMHO Cheers
