Unit Problem

Dear Gurus.
We have different process on one product.After every operation code changes.
Operation are
Cutting unit KG (after cutting)
Forging unit PC
Heat Treatment unit PC then
Machining unit PC
we done all the operation on single rod but my problem is now this machining piece we are selling by cutting into 4 pieces
as sales order is of 4 pc How to do it?

Hi,
You can mentain alternate unit of measure in Material Master => Additional Data on Unit of measure tab page. On this page u can maintain ratio of Kg to PC.

You can try to log out of iMessage and then sign back in. However, even under optimal conditions, iMessage will not always work. That's why the option of 'Send as SMS' is so important. There might be temporary outages in the related iMessage servers.

Handling Unit problem in Packing for STO

Hello All,
The problem is related to Packing process in case of Stock Transfer Order (STO).After making delivery while doing the packing procedure, in " Handling Unit " supplements 'Handling Unit Group 1' field is not getting populated / assigned automatically (under additional data tab) though all the master data against 'Handling Unit Group 1' for example 00001 to 00500 are already maintained.Apart from this the combination of finished good & packing material in the packaging instruction in POP2 are also maintained.
Point to be noted is in another scenario the handling unit is getting automatically populated in the packing process after delivery where also the above mentioned areas are not maintained, but still it is working properly which is not clear why & how is this taking place.
The procedure followed in the second scenario which is working are as follows -
In outbound delivery change mode (T Code - VL02N) go to Pack -> Click on Pack Proposal -> Expand packing instruction -> select 602 -> Create HUs -> Message shown is Handling Units were created -> click on Pack material & select the 'Handling Unit' line -> then select 'Detailed view general' -> then go to Additional Data where in Handling Unit Group 1, value is automatically populated / assigned for example 00027.
In my process the value for example 00001 is not getting automatically populated/ assigned.How to do this ?
Looking forward to some valuable suggestions at the earliest.

Handling Unit Problem

Dear Friends,
I am facing some prblems in Mannual Packaging at the time Delivery. After the Transaction code VL01N when I am clicking for Packaging and then "Pack. Proposal", the system is giving error stating that "No packing instruction could be found for material 1482". In detailed screen it is telling "Diagnosis
The system could not find a packing instruction for material 1482.
Procedure
This problem can have various causes, such as:
o there is no packing instruction determination record for this material
o the wrong determination procedure was used to start packing instruction determination."
I have configured everything and in the Material master of Mat 1482 I have given Packaging type VERP and I have created packaging Material as CARTON.
Please help to resolve the issue. What is "Packing Instruction determination record" .

Packing Instruction determination record is a master data (condition record) which specifies how automatic packing needs to be done. I think you tried to do automatic packing.
T code : POP1
Menu Path: Logistics / Central Functions / Handling Unit Management / Master Data / Packing Instructions/ Create.

Currency Unit Problem

Hi all,
I have a problem to display amount of different currency unit in a single column. i want to display report amount based on account no
on that i have some canadian account and US account. amount unit for canadian currency is CAD and for US it is USD. user wants to display amount and there unit side by side. the problem is in the subtotal or overall result is comming as * due to CAD and USD. i cant use NDIM function as user wants to display amount and currency unit together.
can any one suggest how can i solve this issue.

one more option would be:
Create two restricted KeyFigures. One for USD and one for CAD .So that you could see all USD amounts in one column and all CAD amounts in different column..Hide base keyfigure.Now you will not get * for subtotals and Overall result and amount and currency unit will be displayed together

Controlling area already used for org. unit problem

Hi people,
can you please help me with one problem, my customer is upgrading SAP HR from 4.6 to 6.0 and now we are testing QAS system.
When I create new or. unit in PPOME, I have Cost-centre inherited from the org.unit above, but when I want to put another Cost-centre it gives me the next error "Controlling area HR01 already used for organizational unit XXXXXXXX".
The same procedure worksin PRD system which is on version 4. 6. Could you please help me what is wrong because i am not able to change cost centre in the QAS system.

Hi,
To which object u are going to change the cost center i.e, position, job, org.unit.
If you are changing the cost center to position, If it is not allowing to change the cost center then u have to check the parameters:
May be u already assigned cost center
May be u already assigned cost center to ur org, unit, which u assigned to ur position. If u already assigned diffrent cost center to ur org.unit, you may not change the cost center to ur position or job.

DVD-ROM Unit problem

If I try to load a DVD disc it'll only make some loud breath voice which falls after 2 seconds and it periodically repeats until I take out the disc. Here's the information I found in msinfo32 (I translate it from my motherlanguage to english so it's probably not 100% correct):

The first thing I'd suggest is to eject the drive tray and use a soft material like cotton to gently clean the lens.
Check if this has made any difference.
If not, try the automated fixit from Microsoft on the link below.

Check if the drive is now working.
If it still doesn't work, click the Start Menu, open All Programs, open Accessories, right click the Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator'. In to the prompt type the following command and hit enter.
sfc /scannow ( note that there is a space between sfc and the / )
Let the process complete, then type exit and hit enter.
Next, click the Start Menu, open the Control Panel and click on Device Manager. Next click to open DVD/CD-ROM Drives. Right click the drive and select uninstall. Do not delete drivers if asked. When the device has uninstalled click on the 'Scan for Hardware Changes' icon ( usually just below Help on the toolbar ). Let windows reinstall the drive and see if it now works.

when creating packing against sto all item was packed as box unit but 1 item wrongly packed as pc unit.when i check the invoice print out it seems 123 boxes against 113(1 box = 10 pc).
I can not cancel the bill bcos it already passed to accounting and it is very old bill.
how can i solv this problem?
if any one can help me out.

Logic pro 8 audio unit problem

My logic pro 8 install doesnt seem to go anywhere from the dialogue box that says that it is updating the audio units. I get to the menus but if I try to start the audio unit manager, it crashes. I have tried uninstalling all my audio units and other software and updating to the latest version but it did not help.
Im running the latest version of Leopard (10.5.2) on a 2 GHZ intel core 2 duo macbook.

Yep I had the exact same problem. I'm running MacOSX 10.5.2.
I deleted the file ~Library/Caches/com.apple.audiounits.cache as described in this article:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1086
and my Logic runs perfectly now...

Program Unit Problems

Does anybody know?
In a PU i open a "cursor for loop". that cursor makes an update on a table and then it is closed. after that i open another cursor (in the same PU) and try to get the updated data from the table, but it is still the old data. it stays the old data since i reopen/refresh the form/runtime. so, what kind of problem is this? How can i solve it?

This is due to Maintainnce of Order Unit as PCs in Purchasing view of Material master.
You can do one thing either delete the alternate uOM, in Material master.Which is difficult if you have posted P.O and GR etc.
Best way to make a PIR and maintain order unit as KG, system will accept.

ME59N : Order Unit problem

Dear all
I have come across following situation.
I am creating third party PO from sales order.
The details are as follows:
Doc                           Order Unit
Sales order           CV
PR                           ST
Info record                           ST as PO unit of measure and active with own price
Material master           Base unit ST and sales unit as CV
But when I am creating PO by T code ME59N,it is taking CV as order unit. As in inforecord I have maintained ST as order unit, it should take ST in PO.
Can anyone suggest why this is happening?

in the third party scenario we first create sale order and in the background it creates purchase requisition. so i think the PR is picking data from the sales order and that is why the unit of measure is showing as CV.
check if you have maintained the units in the material master. check what is your ordering unit in purchase view, sales unit in sales view.
and revert back

Control unit problem with S750 speakers!

I just bought these things...
I installed everything as guided and specified, and I get sound for about 10 minutes perfectly without an issue. After, I flicked my sub "off", and back "on", and the control pod unit doesn't want to register when I press buttons on either the remote control or on the unit itself. I have no sound now and I'm very frustrated. Does anyone here think the control pod unit blew and I would need a replacement?

The second fuse is not inside the plug. If you look at the back of the subwoofer, with the power cable disconnected from both the wall outlet and the subwoofer itself, you will see the socket where the power cable goes into. On the bottom part of the socket there is a cartridge with an indentation at the top. The words "use only with 250V fuse are etched on the front of this catridge and below the cartridge there is a printed triangle with the symbols 3.5A 250V. To access the fuse you need to insert a flat screw driver into the indentation at the top of the cartridge then using the top edge of the power socket as a leverage point, gently push the cartridge away from the subwoofer back panel. The fuse is located inside the cartridge. This fuse, if faulty, should be replaced with a time-lag 3.5A 250V fuse. But your fuse is ok because the green light on your subwoofer turns on.

1. When you add new Roles, Users to Roles etc from JDev and Deploy it, ONLY for the first time deployment, all these information is added to the Workspace and you can see it in Admin tab of workspace. You should see them in one of the tables of soainfra like BPM_CUBE_ROLE like that. The point is, after first deployment, when you add more users to the same Role, they will not be reflected in Workspace. I guess this was Designed intentionally to avoid overwriting of users with every redeployment. The only way to add more Users or Edit Users for Each Role is from the bpm/workspace application with adminstrator Role.
This makes sense also. Beacause when we develop any BPM Application, all we consider is the Roles names called as Studio Roles (or Swimlanes etc). They are just dummy and virutal Roles. We add all Tasks for each Role. Thats it. Then you Deploy them. And only in Workpace, we map these dummy studio Roles to the real Users from the Security Providers of that SOA/BPM Domain like from default seucrity provider or any external configured AD LDAP etc.
Unless there is a very strong reason, I would not recommend to add Users/Groups etc to the Studio Roles in the JDeveloper itself. Worst case, after you deploy it, if you see any discrepencies, just delete the Roles from workspace admin. Redeploy your bpm app and it will create the new Roles.
