Unity Connection - Speechview??? Where???

The design and installation/configuration documents hint that a speech to text service can be set up for Unity Conneciton 8.  However, the documentation is extremely sketchy at best.
While the docs state that it's an external service, they don't give you a clue as to where you would go to get it if a customer wanted it.
If we assume a customer is asking for Speechview, where does one get it?
My personal belief is that this should be better addressed in both UC design and configuration guides, but since it isn't, does anyone know?

In order to use it all you need is this:
Requirements for Using SpeechView Transcriptions
The SpeechView feature—which provides transcriptions of voice  messages—is supported with Cisco Unity Connection version 8.0(2) and  later.
•Users must have SpeechView User  licenses.
•Users must be assigned to a  class of service enabled for using SpeechView transcriptions of voice  messages.

Not sure what you mean by " where you would go to get it"
You only need to meet the requirements and follow the configuration guide.

Configuring Transcription (SpeechView) in Cisco Unity Connection 8.x

Overview of SpeechView in Cisco Unity Connection 8.x
Revised April 2010
When the SpeechView feature is enabled, Cisco Unity Connection uses a  third-party external transcription service to convert voice messages to  text. When a voice message arrives, it is delivered to the mailbox of  the recipient with a blank text attachment. When the completed  transcription is returned by the transcription service, the text  attachment is updated with the text of the transcription, or with an  error message if there was a problem with the transcription. Only the  first 500 characters of a message transcription are provided, so longer  messages are truncated. However, users have access to the original  recording in its entirety.
Connection sends the audio portion of a voice message to the  transcription service, without details about the sender or recipients of  the message. Communication between Connection and the external  transcription service is secured by using S/MIME over SMTP.
To use SpeechView, users must belong to a class of service that enables  transcriptions of voice messages. Members of the class of service can  view the transcriptions of their messages by using an IMAP client that  is configured to access their Connection messages. The original voice  message remains attached to the transcribed text message.
You can also configure an SMS or SMTP notification device for users so  that Connection sends transcriptions to an SMS-compatible phone or an  external email address; users can configure SMS or SMTP notification  devices for themselves if they have access to the Connection Messaging  Assistant web tool. The original voice message is not attached to  transcription messages sent to notification devices, but the device can  be configured to include the phone number that users call to reach  Connection, so after viewing the transcription they can call Connection  to listen to the voice message.

  • Unity Connection Speechview Transcriptions not showing on iOS devices

I finally got Speechview to work well, but unfortunately, the transcribed messages never show up on the iPhone/iPad. They do in Outlook..
    Anybody seeing this issue?

I think I found the answer. If you enable the S/MIME option in the account settings on the iOS device, the transcriptions show up.

  • Unity Connection Voice Mail Only- NO MWI template

I am deploying a site with 8,000 mailboxes.  4,000 of those users are voice mail only without a telephone and will NOT require MWI.
I can manually remove the MWI setting from each mailbox, but I am looking at either a BATCH CSV setting or a TEMPLATE that I can turn OFF mwi when creating the users.
    Any ideas?
    TIA

    Hi there,
This setting change is available via Bulk Edit
Bulk Edit> Messages> Disable MWI functionality for this user
Bulk Edit changed in 8.x from where it was accessed in 7.x.
Here's a clip that speaks to how this is run now. You first search and select all
    the users you want to change and then choose Bulk Edit;
To Edit User Account Information in Bulk Edit Mode (some editing from original > this example
is for Caller Input settings but you'll see the point)
Step 1 In Cisco Unity Connection Administration, on the Search Users page, check the applicable user check boxes, and select Bulk Edit.
If the user accounts that you want to edit in bulk do not all appear on  one Search page, check all applicable check boxes on the first page,  then go to the next page and check all applicable check boxes, and so  on, until you have selected all applicable users. Then select Bulk Edit.
Step 2 On the Edit Caller Input page, change settings as applicable.
Note The  Status message at the top of the Edit Caller Input page tells you how  many user accounts are being edited. Also note that the page is  populated only with the fields that you are allowed to edit in bulk  mode, and that the fields available for edit also depend on whether all  of the user accounts reside on the local server.
Step 3 If applicable, set the Bulk Edit Task Scheduling Fields to schedule the Bulk Edit operation for a later date and/or time.
    Step 4 Select Submit.
Step 5 If  applicable, continue to change settings for these user accounts on the  related pages available from the Edit menu. As you make changes on each  page, select Submit before going on to the next page to make additional changes.

Try a couple of test users first to come up with the exact plan.
If you prefer you can also use Bulk Edit via .csv
    As a test here I tried the Bulk Edit and chose;
User with Voicemail > Users referenced in this CSV file > Next
This then allowed me to browse to an existing "basic" .csv that I had
used to create a test user recently when playing with BAT. In this .csv
I had one user named Bob Uncle with DN/ext 5126. So when I used this method
the Bulk Edit tool (smart puppy ) selected only Bob Uncle for my edit choices
and I was able to change the Disable MWI functionality for this user
Again, please try manipulating some test users to perfect
    your methodology.
I have attached the test .csv I used
    Cheers!
    Rob

  • Unity Connection Voice Mail Issue

    Hi,
I have a weird Unity Connection Voice Mail issue and would appriciate any help i can get. Many thanks in advance.
I have Unity connection 7.0 and CUCM 7.0 integrated in a lab enviroment and here is what happens.
When I place a call internally say from 2001 to 2002, things work as expected, 2002 rings and it goes to voicemail where I can leave voicemail and listen to it from 2002.
However, if I place call from the PSTN to the same number 2002 (or any other number in other sites etc) the call again rings in 2002 and goes to voicemail, unity cnx plays the greetings for 2002 and says record your message as usual. Everything up to point is fine, then when the time on the PSTN phone is showing around 14 seconds into the call unity starts playing, "to send this message press one", if I press one nothing happens.
I have rebuilt unity and cucm, even just configured the bare minimum in the lab and still getting the same result. I tried calling from E1 connection and T1 connection but with the same results.
I have run out of ideas...

Sounds like one way audio from PSTN to your Unity Connection, couple of things to check:
    1. ensure your protocols are bound properly on the GW, i.e. SIP/H323/MGCP
    2. Make sure IP routing is OK between Unity and the voice gateway

  • Unity Connection 8.6 not able to forward from extension (dial out)

    Dear all,
I'm having a problem at a customer where i'm not able to forward calls externally from the Unity (that's a wish too).
Basically here is the request for which I'm having an issue:
    - I'm making a menu with a number XXX (CTI Port) with a System Call Handler
    - Under that menu i've 3 choices which points to 3 internal numbers (YY1, YY2, YY3) (CTI Ports).
    - All the CTI Ports are forwarded to international numbers which are the final destination
So the flow is the following:
    NOT Working
    - XXX --> Choice 1 --> YY1 --> Forwaded all to 000countrycode
    Working
    - XXX --> Choice 1 --> YY1 --> Forwarded all to 444 (internal number)
The strange thing is that I tested everything when I was on site by calling internally XXX from an internal number and it was able to forward all my call to the international number ...
If anyone have a clue about what I can do, I'll appreciate a lot ...
    Thanks in advance
    C.

    Hi Taranjit,
The rules are not made to enable unity to dial out, my goal was to permit only internal calls, but in this specific case, the internal number, is a CTI Port forwarded all to the external international number...
I tried the Unity connection system handler from a internal phone and it was working perfectly, but not if the call is coming from outside apparently.
    Kind regards
    Christophe

  • Unity Connection 8.6.2 report error and issues

    Hello,
I found some other hits on this error and tried the workarounds (restarting tomcat, and report data harvester) but am still getting "Unable to find any report data based on parameter(s)" for a certain timeframe on multiple reports when I know activity occurred in that timeframe.
User Phone login report, Outcall Billing Detail Report, others.
    CUC version is 8.6.2.20000-2
Problem is during this timeframe someone dialed into system and changed the transfer extensions to various LD numbers throughout an entire day and the reports aren't showing these outcalls. Call Manager CDR data show the calls being placed from Unity VM ports and the Unity Conversation Manager traces I grabbed for the timeframe show the calls to those numbers to.  I'm just trying to match up with a report and figure out if there is some other log or trace file I can look to determine for sure the caller logged in to the voicemail box and changed the transfer extension on it. (guessed the voicemaill password). The failed log in report doesn't even show the failed login attempt in output from traces below. The transfer extension dest addr was different on the transfers on this same mailbox.  Have locked down the system since but want to get better grip on this with the reports and traces.
I looked over the CUC 8.6.2 SU1 and SU2 release notes and not seeing any resolved bugs for these matters either.
Here are some samples lines from Conversation Manager traces:

    Hello ebergquist,
As advised we could try to run a report before an upgrade was performed to verify if it will pull the information, which in the event it does we would be matching the bug, therefore access the CUC CLI and type the following command:  file get install *
You will be required to have an SFTP available for the file transfer and port 22 open on the sftp client.
Once you receive the files you would need to check system-history.log, below is an example.
    =======================================
Product Name -    Cisco Unity Connection
    Product Version - 8.5.1.12900-7
    Kernel Image -    2.6.9-89.0.20.EL
    =======================================
    02/24/2013 13:35:02 | root: Boot 8.5.1.12900-7 Start
    02/24/2013 16:03:45 | root: Install 8.5.1.12900-7 Success
Once you check the  time stamp and date of the upgrade try to gather a report for a time range before the upgrade was performed, even though they might be overwritten, there still could be a possibility that it succeeds.
If this bug is not the issue then you might want to take into consideration:
    1. Make sure that the service ReportDB is [STARTED] in the output of the command: utils service list.
    2. If you have Digital Networking on your server make sure there is no stalled replication. Go to RTMT (Real Time Monitoring Tool)> Syslogs> Select on the dropdown your server> Doble click on Application logs> CiscoSyslog. You can then do a manual search or sort with the filter option:
    Severity: Error
    App ID: CuReplicator
Hit apply. Below is an example:
    Date: Feb 19 08:01:15
    Machine Name: LAB1111
    Severity: Error
    App ID: CuReplicator
Message: : 1151681: LAB1111.corpnet2.com: Feb 19 2013 08:01:11.662 UTC :  UC_UCEVNT-3-EvtReplicatorStalledReceiveReplication  %[ClusterID=][NodeID=LAB1111]: Detected stalled replication receiving from location LAB1111. Waiting for missing USN 2222. This situation may indicate network connectivity problems.
3.Make sure that replication is working properly in the cluster. You can check them via the following commands:  showcuc cluster status    and   utils dbreplcation runtimestate
For the TransferEx that you state changed to ceros ->  TransferEx=0x00000000=S_OK , this is just a hexadecimal value that is returned stating that the transfer that took place during the call was successful, in this case the actual transfer was to the following destination -> TransferEx destAddr='715551231234', and was during a call to ->calledID='555123' , this does not have to do with the actual change of a transfer number performed by a user.
Those traces won't be enough you will have to additionally set: ConvSub, level 3   and  CDE, level 16 so that you may see output in the traces as the example posted in the previous thread.
Traces would be the path to follow in order to verify the user that changed the transfer rule, as this is as i understand the goal your pursuing.
However if it is of any help, another way to get on hold of the numbers that were updated on the Transfer Rule is to use the User Data Dump tool, this information reflects changes regardless of whether it was done via TUI (Telephone User Interface) or GUI (Graphic User Interface). For more information on the tool go to:
    http://ciscounitytools.com/Applications/CxN/UserDataDump/Help/UserDataDump.htm
Traces are extensive to be reviewed if done manually, however you can do a text search with a tool as Notepad ++ to look for keywords as "NewTransferNumber =" or "CDE,16,Transfer allowed", once you find this you check the call GUIDwhich is the reference number of the call and that exists during the entire length of the call, whether it is while a person is leaving a voicemail or the user is accessing his/her's inbox.  This would speed up your search.
So as explained in the first thread you would then do another text search returning all possible matches with that callGUID.
Now if you get to the very beginning of the call you would see something like:
    Line 13712: 18:58:05.156 |24720,CCIE-1-001,0C9C97BDF5F444F0B535D231C32DDCB4,Arbiter,-1,Incoming Call [callerID='2199' callerName='' calledID='6789' redirectingID='' lastRedirectingID='' reason=1=DirectlastReason=1024=Unknown] port=CCIE-1-001 portsInUse=1 ansPortsFree=1callGuid=0C9C97BDF5F444F0B535D231C32DDCB4
In this example you see my test user callerID='2199'  calling the Pilot number 6789 which is the voicemail button
calledID='6789, and the what type of call is it whether Forward or Direct, when logging to voicemail you are going to see Direct which is going to match the Direct Routing Rules and send the call to the attempt sign in conversation.
The other approach is a rule out method between the Audit traces and the User Data Dump tool.
So let's say you have a baseline document that states all of the Transfer numbers for all users.
If the User Data Dump reflects a different number and the Audit logs do not show any change, starting from the time the baseline was created and the point of time where the number was changed, then you could deduce the change was done via TUI (Telephone User Interface). Unfortunately you wouldn't be able to tell who did the change in this case.
Nevertheless, remember that a user may have for example an Alternate Extension so the change might not necessarily be done from the office phone: "Alternate extensions can make calling Cisco Unity Connection from an alternate device—such as a mobile phone, a home phone, or a phone at another work site—more convenient. When you specify the phone number for an alternative extension, Connection handles all calls from that number in the same way that it handles calls from a primary extension (assuming that ANI or caller ID is passed along to Connection from the phone system). This means that Connection associates the alternate phone number with the user account, and when a call comes from that number, Connection prompts the user to enter a PIN and sign in."

  • How to set-up voice mail to email on Unity Connection 8.6

    Hi all,
I need to set-up voice mail to email notification on a Unity Connection 8.6 MCS78XX server.  I've read several existing threads related to the subject, but have had somewhat of a difficult time finding a posting that provided a simplified approach with either or both of the options listed below.  I'm hoping and asking to receive a response (or responses) that will break it down.
    The intent is to either:
     A) Have new voice mail messages sent to end-user's e-mail inboxes as .wav files.
     B) Have notifications be e-mailed to end-user's inboxes whenever there is a new voice mail.
Cisco Unity Single Inbox is not the preferred method at this point.
I thank you all for your input and assistance!

Manish, if I may... I read the 2nd thread and it mentions the addition of the Exchange IP address under the smart host field... and it appears that the Exchange will also need the IP address of the Unity Connection server for relay...
question: under the Unity SMTP config options --> Server --> SMTP Domain --> can/should this be changed over to the Unity's IP address in an environment where the Unity Server's name is not resolvable?  The Unity Server in this case is not configured with DNS...  please advise
    Thank you again!

  • How to delete multiple messages in the same mailbox all at once? Unity Connection

I just was assigned the task of administrating three Unity Connection servers that are networked. The Operator mailboxes on each system have been taking messages since 2010 and have over 5 thousand messages in them (nearly 3 mega bytes). I've corrected the set up so the mailboxes no longer are taking messages, but would like to delete all the new messages in order free up memory resources, and I don't want to undo all the Call Handler relationships in order to delete the mailboxes and then recreate them, etc. I used the PCA tool  to clean up the Operator MBX on a standalone Unity Connection that had nearly 1800 messages, but it took nearly 30 minutes for the PCA tool to load and another 4.5 hours to delete one message at a time (major carpal tunnel afterwards!).  For these mailboxes with 5-6K messages, the PCA tool was  not loaded after 3 hours!   Is there a faster, more efficient tool for deleting all new messages in a single mailbox? (i.e., Message Hunter?)

    Hi There,
+5 to heath for his good notes!
One nice way with Unity Connection is with the use of this excellent tool from the great suite of Unity Tools (use the ** reset" feature **).
    Unity Connection Bulk User Delete
For resetting users you have the option of emptying the mailbox,  resetting greetings, deleting voice names,  resetting passwords,  removing private lists and a number of other  options you may choose.   For installations where the user base “changes  over” frequently such as  schools this may be a nicer option.  This  option is also allowed for  CoRes installations since it does not involve  the removal of user  objects from the Connection database.

  • ERROR WHILE FORWARDING VOICE MESSAGE FROM NOTES VIEWMAIL TO ANOTHER VOICEMAIL USER IN UNITY CONNECTION

    Hello All,
I am facing problem while replying/forwarding or sending a NEW Voice Message from ViewMail integrated with  IBM LOTUS  Notes 8.5 to the other Voice Mail User Configured in Cisco Unity Connection. The ViewMail Version is 8.0.2 for IBM LOTUS Notes.UC  version is 8.x
I have attached the file that displays the error.
From the view mail inbox if i "Right Click" any email and the "Click ON Forward" I am able to forward the Voice Message from the ViewMail to the IBM LOTUS Domino user [ that is forwarding it to EMAIL Account ], but if I try to forward it to unity user is gives "Failure Delivery".
Now when I double click the individual voice mail message in ViewMail account and then click on "Forward/reply/NewMemo" icon available on the individual voice message window that I have opened ,I get an error as stated below
"The remote name could not be resolved error in Notes ViewMail 10.0.0.152e_vmws_gen_property_not_found "
where 10.0.0.152 is the IP-Address of my Unity Connection Server.
Also just for the information I am able to Login into Cisco PCA for alll the users and able to view the Inbox.
I am able to forward the VoiceMessages between Unity Connection users via CISCO PCA without facing any issue.
A Quick Help will be much appreciated .......... :-)

    Hello Craig,
After spending sometime on troubleshooting , just for testing purpose I created two new Unity Connection Voice Mail User and configured VMN [VoiceMail for Notes] account on the same lotus Notes.

But still I am NOT able to use Forward option to send the Voice Messages via VMN.
REPLY WITH HISTORY & REPLY TO ALL WITH HISTORY options are also not working.
This is error that I am getting
"Error in QueryServe in CoreUCClasses 213 at line 336:Vmws:The remote server returned an error:(403) Forbidden
I HAVE CREATED VIDEO RECORDING FOR THIS ERROR & WORKING PART OF THE CONFIG TO GIVE YOU A BETTER IDEA OF THE PROBLEM.
Its 7 MB Recording. I hope you can easily Download.
Also important point is that i don't see any previous error that was accuring during my earlier testing.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Unity Connection - Certificate from cucm no more trusted for encrypted calls after upgrade to 10.5(1)

    Hello Support Community,
    i have a strange problem:
after upgrading my cucm and unity connection from 9.1 to 10.5(1) enctrypted calls are no more working.
situation 1: CUCM is down, Subscriber is up: Encrypted call to Unity Connection work correctly
situation 2: CUCM is up: Encrypted Calls to Unity Connection not working.
i get the following Info in the log for the Connection Conversion Manager:
19:35:21.053 |15865,,,MiuGeneral,25,Invalid Certificate: Received Certificate -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
    MIID8zCCAtugAwIBAgIQc/fBdUz1Zdh4CXhcPqGVuDANBgkqhkiG9w0BAQsFADBw
    MQswCQYDVQQGEwJERTELMAkGA1UEChMCSVQxGzAZBgNVBAsTEkhlbGxnYXRlIFRl
    XD0oD9d5MQ==
    -----END CERTIFICATE-----
doesn't match with stored Certificate: -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
    MIIC2DCCAkGgAwIBAgIIJWCm4bSdt+kwDQYJKoZIhvcNAQEFBQAw
    -----END CERTIFICATE-----
so where does Unity Connection cache this certificate and how can i delete/replace it?
the cert shown in the logs is the one from cucm: ("CallManager"), i recreated it through cucm os administration, now i see the same error message on unity connection for the new recreated certificate.

Actually It doesn't. It says he's on a MacBook. I don't know all the different types of Macs. I was having a ton of problems with iChat. I opened DMZ to my computer, knocked down all firewalls etc and left everything exposed, still with bad results. A few weeks ago my power supply went out on my D-Link. I bought a linksys. Since I'd left all firewalls off I figured it couldn't be the router. I power cycled everything n the netork, still no luck. Today I bought a universal Power supply and started up my D-Link Router. Everything worked perfectly. My wifes computer - a laptop running Tiger worked fine with the Linksys and did my machine before the Leopard upgrade. Now that I've got the D-Link online everythings working.

  • Cisco Unity Connection 8.5.1 SU3 to 8.5.1 SU6 & Upgrade to 9.1.2

    Two questions !
Firstly  - I am upgrading to the latest patch level as I want to upgrade the systems to 9.1.X
I am installing UCSInstall_UCOS_8.5.1.16900-6.sgn.iso onto the inactive partition on the publisher then onto the inactive partition on the subscriber.
Then I plan to switch versions out of hours.
Question - will messages / data that has happened between the installation on the inactive partition and the switch version be preserved ??
So if I install onto the inactive partition at 1pm, then an important message is left at 2pm and I switch version at 3pm, does the iimportant message exist on the active partition at the end ??
    Second question -
    I have UCCX-8.5.1 SU4 (HA), CUC 8.5.1 SU6 (HA) and CUCM 8.5.1 SU6 (1 pub, 2 sub) - so 7 VM's in total.
If I want to migrate to -
    UCSInstall_UCOS_9.1.2.12900-11.sgn.iso &  UCSInstall_UCCX_9_0_2_UCOS_9.0.2.11002-27.sgn.iso
in which order should the installations take place ?? CUCM Publisher last ?? Publisher first ??
    Thanks
    James

    Hi James,
+5 to my friend Aman for his good tips here
    Messages are preserved during the "switch-version" so the messages left before the command is run will be preserved as they are stored in a "common" partition;
Switching to the Upgraded Version of Connection 8.x Software
If you chose not to automatically switch to the upgraded partition at the end of the upgrade, do the following procedure when you are ready to switch partitions.
To Switch to the Upgraded Version of Connection 8.x Software
Step 1 If you do not have a recent backup, back up the server by using the Disaster Recovery System. For more information, see the Disaster Recovery System Administration Guide for Cisco Unity Connection Release 8.x athttp://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/8x/drs_administration/guide/8xcucdrsag.html.
Step 2 Sign in to Cisco Unified Operating System Administration.
Step 3 From the Settings menu, select Version.
Step 4 On the Version Settings page, select Switch Versions, and the following occurs:
    •Connection services are stopped.
•Data from the partition where the older version is installed is copied to the partition where the newer version is installed. If changes to the database schema require updates to the format of data, that occurs in this step. Note that messages are stored in a common partition, so they are not copied.
•The Connection server restarts and switches to the newer version.
Note You can check the status of the installation of the upgrade software by using the CLI command show cuc version. The upgrade is complete when the inactive partition has the upgraded software and the active partition has the old software.
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/8x/upgrade/guide/8xcucrugx/8xcucrug009.html#wp1056720
    The upgrade order is shown here (above link) as well, which is Pub followed by Sub;
Task List for Upgrading Connection 7.x or 8.x Software to the Shipping 8.x Version in a Connection Cluster
    Cheers!

  • Unity Connection version clarification

    Hi,
We installed UC 7.0 last January 2009 and this weekend we updated to the October 2009 release of 7.0.2(a)SU2
Where can I find a doc that describes the version numbering between the OS and the Application?  Before the upgrade my Inactive Version         was 7.0.1.21020-1 and the active was a flavor of 7.0.2 that was given to us by TAC in Jan.  It was a pre-release.
Now my Inactive is still the same but my active is reporting as the October release of 7.0.2.22900-3.
    So two questions
1 - How is this possible
2 - What does the ES stand for in the App version when I see it on the App web page (I realize the version of the OS is a different number scheme)
    thanks

    Josh,
I dont know that there is a document that describes the version numbering...if so, I've never seen one.  However, it's always contained in the filename.  So, to answer your questions:
    1) Your active partition shows the application versioning number of 7.0(2a)SU2 which is seen in the first part of the filename which is UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.22900-3.  So when you upgraded, you rebooted the servers and switched partitions to the upgraded version which is why you see that as the Active version.  The inactive is the same as it was before the ugprade because the system keeps an Active and an Inactive partition.  This allows you to upgrade the inactive partition on the fly but choose not to reboot the server until a later time.  Vice versa, it allows you to roll back to a previous version if the ugpraded version is problematic.
    2) ES stands for Engineering Special.  It indicates a certain patch rev of the application code.  For example the latest patch rev for Unity Connection is ES 26 so if you upgrade to 7.1(3b)SU2, the CUC web page will give you a versioning number that reflects the code contains all patches and fixes rolled up to ES26.

  • How to delete users in unity connection

    hello all,
I have a unity connection cluster on version 7.1.3 and a cucm cluster on version 7.1.3
when i try to delete a user in unity connection I get the following error
This user is integrated with a Cisco Unified Communications Manager end user. Some fields may be disabled.
I deleted the user in cucm, however the user is still in Unity connection and i can't delete it,
what's the best way to delete a user ?
    thank you
    Cris

When the CUCM End User is deleted, the corresponding CUC user should  automatically be deleted as well. Sometimes this isn't the case and the  CUC user still exists and cannot be deleted due to other database hooks.
First you will need to find the ObjectId for the user that you want to remove from Connection:
run cuc dbquery unitydirdb SELECT ObjectId from vw_User WHERE Alias = 'alias of the user you want to delete'
Now you will want to delete that user as such (this will fail if there are database hooks still on the orphaned user):
run cuc dbquery unitydirdb EXECUTE PROCEDURE csp_UserDelete (pObjectId = 'objectid from above')

  • Voice command in Cisco Unity Connection

I'm currently using Unity Connection 8.5.1 with Cisco Unified CallManager version  7.1.5.  I'm trying to see where I can make sure our Class of Service is correct for the Unity Connection voice command and am unable to find anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thank you
    Jim

On the Edit Class of Service page, under Licensed Features, check the Allow Access to Advanced Features check box, and then check the Allow Users to Use Voice Recognition check box.
