Unwanted Document Flow (VTAA)

Hello experts,
We are working through our configuration in attempt to disable the document flow off contracts of deliveries, goods issue, and billing documents.  Through VTAA we have found the option "2" Create doc. flow records except for delivery/gi/billing doc, and we enabled the option.  Despite enabling it and confirming that we are pegged to the correct sales doc type and whatnot, the document flow table is still being updated with those documents when created.  Is there some other piece of configuration we need to examine to fix this?
UPDATE: Added a screenshot of the program SDVBFA21 which I found simulates what would need to be retroactively cleared from the document flow table based on the current configuration.  So that program confirms that the test deliveries/goods issues/billing document should be removed from the table, meaning our configuration profile is current per the requirement we are attempting to achieve, but I do not understand why they were ever added to the document flow table to begin with...

In VTAA at the item level you can alter the system decision to carry out doc flow all the way through to the billing document in the case of contracts.  We've elected to alter our system so that contracts only provide document flow to their sales orders, then the deliveries, goods issue, and billing document pegs to the sales order instead of all the way up to its contract.
After debugging on Friday, we discovered that the sales order is inheriting the incorrect document flow indicator (VBAP-UPFLU).  We are now trying to determine why this field is not inheriting what is configured, but we believe it may be due to user exits where the assignment of a contract is copying a lot of fields into the new sales document...

    Dear Experts,
    I am facing a  problem in document flow.
    I create order (for free goods order type ZFRE), do delivery and finally billing.Outbound delivery is showing as "Being Processed".While I have maintained "Update document flow" in item level in copy control.
    For your information, this is free goods order type and the system has been configured in such a way that accounting docs are not generated after billing. (As it is for free goods.).Could this be because accounting docs are not being generated?

    Pls see the copy control sales document to sales document T.Code VTAA
    Go to the item category  and see the document flow field is activated or not if is not activated pls activate  and re run the scenario
    pls check your correct defined  Z item category the document flow is activated or not.

  • Update Document Flow - delivery -- bill

    Hi Experts,
    I want to "deactivate" update document flow between delivery and bill for an item category (say e.g. ZTAN). Where can I do that?
    In other words in table VBFA when I put "Follow on" document as my invoice #, I do not want to see my delivery # as preceeding document.
    I have checked VTFL, at item category level, there is NO field as "Update document flow"
    also I have checked VTFA, at item category level, there is NO field as "Update document flow"
    (in VTAA and VTLA, at item category level, there is field as "Update document flow" - but this is not my query)

    I donot understand your post. What shall I accomplish with your suggestion? For my better understanding, please elaborate.
    In VTFL, at item category level, Copy requirement is to check if all the criteria are met, if yes, then copying information is done from Delivery to Invoice. I think, this has nothing to do with populating information in document flow.
    Could you please advice, where exactly is the configuration for "Update doc flow" in VTFL and VTFA?

    This query is regarding document flow updating:
    If we observe Update document flow check is only available in VTLA-ITEM, but it is not available in none of copy controls.
    My doubt is how delivery to invoice is updating in doc.flow,
    How Sales order to invoice(If invoice is created w.r.t sales order), how this updating??
    VTAA,VTFF...how these document flow are updating??
    Any suggestion on doubt please...

    Yes, actually I have faced an issue with an invoice.
    For one particular invoice status showing as cancelled, but the same has not updated in the document flow.  VTFF is maintained same and this was happened with only one invoice.
    If I see from the cancelled invoice I am able to see the doc.flow, but not from the parent invoice  nor so or delivery.
    In my analysis I found that there are no check buttons for doc.flow for VTFL,VTFF and got a doubt and posted the same here to clarify my doubt.
    I have checked in cdhdr,cdpos...etc change logs...but not succeeded...

  • SD document flow line items

    Hi all,
    Can we exclude some line items to appear in the subsequent documents of sales order?
    Like if I had 5 items in a sales order, I only want three of them to appear in the delivery doc or Advanced ship notice. The other two are filtered using item category or material type.
    Is it possible to do that?
    If yes, please shed some light on it.

    In the copy control for sales documents there is a field that determines whether the document flow must be updated. This is set up on the item level by document type and item category (PSTYV). This is part of the SD configuration and has nothing to do with ABAP. See transaction VTAA.
    And no, this cannot be done by material type, unless you are ready to do a core modification.

  • Add PO in SO Document Flow

    I created SO using BAPI and PO also creaed with BAPI with multiple purchase contracts. While creating PO I did not pass the Purchasing requestion. If I pass Purchase ing Requisiton with PO Bapi, I am unable to create PO. So, I did not pass the Purchasing Requesition with PO Bapi. Now I am not getting the PO in SO document flow.
    Is there any FM to update to add PO in SO document flow. I tried several FM, but could not success. I am able to update only VBFA, but could not get the PO in SO document flow.
    Are there any FMs to update hte PO in SO document flow.

  • Probelm in document flow if sales order created with Propose item

      I am facing one pronlem  I have created some sales order  as one sales order was there as 100030636  then i have created new sales order by pressing the icon propse item ->sales document default material with quanity  then ref. to this in new sales order  all item with quanity as per order comes in the new order 100030637    but when i check the document flow of order it is showing as below
    100030636  being proseesd
    100030637  OPEN,
    as there si no link between those to  just to copy all the material from old SO i have use propse item , so how this link can be removed  so that in the document flow of 100030637  the order 100030636  should not come.

    Dear Zafar,
    Check if there is a copy control between your sale order types in VTAA.
    If yes, then in the item category, uncheck 'Update document flow' and then check.

    Hi,
    Goto VTLA, and check the  UPDATE DOCUMENT FLOW in the  copy control
    If it is already set , then directly from sales order you can find the Proforma invoice .
    Goto the sales order in VA02 and enter into the overscreen and from there check the document flow ( F5), now you can see the Proforma invoices.

    Hi Peng,
    This usually happens for inbound deliveries usually happens when a movement type is not found for the relevant item. Please check in the delivery item if a movement type is maintained.
    Another possibility is that the material is a non-stock (service) material type for which goods movement are not relevant. Check the material type from the material master.

    New Issue with Sales order document flow:
    When linking from a sales order in document flow, we were reviewing why the description information varied.  In looking at different values, we clicked on a new item within document flow that allows you to like to ‘Service Documents’.   This is new in 6.0, or it was previously deactivated in 4.6C.  If you link from a sales order to a service document, in ECC 6.0, you will get a short dump because the document flow is so great (viewing order #any in VA03 and use document flow and then select the service documents button    as seen on the screen below
    A Short dump will occur in program SAPLDOCUMENT_FLOW_ALV.
    Here in ECC 6.0 is how it looks from sales order 9806:
    Documents created from 2004 through 2007 are coming up as linked to this sales order and that is incorrect.  There is some type of linkage issue.  In the 4.6 C environments, the ‘service documents’ link is not visible from document flow.
    Can any body functional / technical Help on this urgent???

    Go to the order VA03 --> Environment --> status overview. The exact status of the header and item can be found here. You may have chances to know why the status is being processed.
    Also 
    Check whether you have checked 'document flow update' field at item level in copy control
    Check your settings for completion rule in item category
    If it is due to incorrect status message, run report SDVBUK00. That might fix the error. It is recommended to run this first in test mode.

  • Sales Document Flow - Ref. Value not showing correct currency

    I have a question about document flow currency in ECC6.0.  We recented upgraded to ECC6.0 from 4.7 and noticed the changes to document flow.  We are a US based company with sales offices in Europe.  Our European offices are finding that that document flow in ECC6.0 shows in base currency of USD.  Even thought the sales order was entered in EUR euros.  Is this intended to be this way; since it is causing our offices in Europe some confusion?  I searched forums an SAP notes and did not find any references.  Has anyone see this in ECC6.0
    Example Document Flow: Line Level (I do not see Ref Value at header level)

    Thanks for pointing those configuration points out.   I checked my system and found the following.  I do not see any change documents for the configuration points, so they have been set this way since our implemenation in 2005.
    XD02 is customer master change, the customer on my order is set to EUR in sales in distribution tabs.
    OX02 - Company Code
    1000     Middleton     USD...ok
    2000     London     GBP   ok
    2100     Munich     EUR...ok
    2210     Amsterdam     EUR...ok
    4000     Hong Kong     USD...ok
    I think OVX5 is not set correctly, should be same as OX02.  If I change them, do I need to run an update in the system for old data?  Or is it as simple as changing the value here?  I'm hesitant to change this not knowing how this will affect the system.  Do you know?

    Are these delivery actually archived by archiving job? Is there any subsequent document after the delivery?
    Technically, if an delivery doesn't exist in LIKP table, but it exist in VBFA table, it will show "archived" in document flow.
    As of why the delivery doesn't exist in LIKP, there could be two possibilities:
    -  it's deleted by archiving job.
    - for unknown reason, it's gone.
    To know why it's gone, it's necessary to reproduce the issue. If you can reproduce, please raise a message to SAP support.
    What you need to do:
    - If this delivery is really archived by your archivng job, you should also archive the preceding sales document.
    - If this delivery is not supposed to be archived, but misisng, you need ot delete this dummy entry from VBFA table, and then recreate delivery.
    To get a list of this kind of archived document, there is no standard report or transaction to do that. You need to write your own report to do that. As mentioned above, technically, if delivery exist in VBFA but doesn't exist in LIKP, it will be displayed like that. You may selecting VBFA and LIKP tables to get your list.
