Up next doesn't seem to work properly with multiple speakers over airplay. The status bar on the computer shows the song playing, but not over airplay. When I restart the song it plays, but the same thing happens when the next song cues up. Any ideas?

Well, I have a problem, and it's quite a big deal.
I don't understand why the java GC refuses to free the memory.
I have made a VERY LITTLE example, so that everybody will see what the problem is made with.
a frame with 2 buttons. the first one make another frame appears, which contains a quite big Swing component. The other is here in order to try to free the memory of this frame.

the problem is that, according to the Windows task Manager the memory isn't freed after having pressed on "free memory" button.
Moreover, in my real application, there are so much data that aren't freed this way, that, at the third launching of a frame, I have a Out of Memory exception !

First, obviously you didnt include all the code. And the most important part(the references to the classes in question) are missing. How can we make a judgement?
Second, the windows taskbar is no measure of how much memory your program is using, its a measure of how much memory the JVM is using. You didnt write the JVM so you really should not be concerned with that.
1. Try using System.freemem() or some similar call to see what your program is actually using.
2. Try making the GC verbose to see when it actually reclaims objects
3. Try calling the GC to force a little GC before you check the memory.
4. Try calling UpdateUI if it actually shows that your memory is really not being released.

When in iTunes on the computer,my our ipadmshould show under devices.
Click on your ipadmunder devices then go to music at top center of the iTunes window, check what you want to sync for music. You need to set it to a folder if I remember which would have your music in it you want synced.
Same with PDF files.....there should be an option for data or even PDF files at the top center area of iTunes when the iPad is clicked under devices.
If your iPad does not show or you cannot click on it under devices which is in the leftane of iTunes, the iPad is not being seen by the computer.
Try unplugging the USB cord from the laptop then give it a few and see if the computer picks it up.

When opening Firefox it closed immediately without even opening the windows and the same thing happen when re-install it

Hello, I have exactly the same problem. I could have written the same text. And I have'nt found solutions. Except, perhaps, change this printer (and quit HP?).

My iPhone 4 refuses to save pictures and at some instances, delete my existing pictures. I take a picture, and then go to camera roll and look, but it doesn't show up. The same thing happens when I try to screenshot things; it won't save.

My iPhone 4 is severely making me mad. It won't save any pictures I take. I will take the picture, then go to view it in the Camera Roll, and it just won't be there. The same thing occurs when screen shotting things on my iPhone. Some times it won't even let me delete the existing pictures I had on my phone before this all happened. I will click delelte, then it will pause, and eventually close me out of the photos app. However, when I go to settings, it says I have 440MB of pictures on here somewhere. Have you Tried Clearing the The Cache in the Camera or Gallery in your Applications Area.. When I raise the lid after sleeping, the screen comes on momentarily then backs out. If I close the lid and raise it again, the same thing happens. It is sometimes necessary to force quit. Once restarted, there is no problem unless the lid is closed for a short time and the machinge goes to sleep.

Since Nov update about a third of my songs have a circle with an exclamation mark inside the circle. These songs will not play on my computer. Message says "The song .... could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" I have reloaded these back onto itunes with my own CD collection. They work for a short while, then the same thing happens. I don't know what is causing this or how to fix it.

I finally resolved my problem after spending way too much time on it. I simply handed my 160GB iPod to my husband to put his fav Stones & Beatles songs on and I went back to my 80GB Microsoft Zune which has never disappointed me.
After spending so much time trying to figure this out I did finally take it back to Apple Store who performed a diagnostic and found there was a problem with the device. They replaced it with a refurbished one which has similar issues. All I wanted to do was listen to my music. Was that too much to ask? So I am happy to be free of this problematic device. No more Apple for me!!

Pdfmark code in MS Word 2008 doc doesn't seem to work properly to create Named Destination

Hi all,
I've been having trouble with creating Preview-compatible Named Destinations in Acrobat 9.x (see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/770470?tstart=0). Distiller, on the other hand, appears to create compatible Destinations, so as a last-ditch effort, I tried to go back to my original source file (Microsoft Word 2008 document) to use Distiller's pdfmark functionality, to see if maybe I could finally get a PDF with Preview-compatible Destinations.
Following instructions found elsewhere on this forum, I went into Word and inserted the following field into a test location in my document:
PRINT "[ /Dest /testdest /View [ /XYZ null null null ] /DEST pdfmark"
This field code is supposed to then cause a pdfmark to be inserted into the resulting PostScript and/or PDF files. Distiller is supposed to understand this and turn it into a Named Destination called "testdest." However, it doesn't seem to work - I don't see the pdfmark code in the PS file, and the PDF file doesn't have any Named Destinations in it.
I'm using Acrobat 9.x on Mac OS X 10.6.5, so I tried this two different ways:
1) Using the "Print to Adobe PDF" workflow (which replaced the "Adobe PDF Printer" from previous OS/Acrobat versions) - this automatically generates a PDF via (presumably) an API call to Distiller... and
2) Using the "Print to Postscript" workflow to generate a PS file, which I then ran through Adobe Distiller.
In neither case did I end up with a named destination in the PDF file, as I was supposed to. In case #2, even the Postscript file didn't have a pdfmark embedded in it. Thus, I'm assuming that perhaps this is particular issue may be a problem with MS Word 2008 rather than with Acrobat... but I'm hoping someone might have a clue as to how to fix it.
I welcome ideas on how to get Word 2008 to properly output pdfmark code, so that Distiller will pick it up and properly embed a Named Destination into the PDF...

You're suggesting that it was never fixed from Word 2004 to 2008? Possibly. I wonder if it's fixed in Word 2011? Anyone know? But is it really a Word problem, rather than a Distiller issue?
I appreciate your offer, though I do have access to Word on Windows (2003, I think), so I could try Distilling there... I only worry about formatting, since there are minor differences (e.g. font kerning, etc.) between Mac and Windows that are subtle, but sufficient to create formatting issues for very long documents (e.g. pushing figures onto the wrong pages, etc.). That would be a rather big problem.
The question remains whether this is an issue with Word or Distiller, though... and whether it's fixed in Distiller X and/or Word 2011.
Adobe, care to comment?
I'd really love to find a proper Mac solution, if one exists... it would be rather a slap to Mac users if a solution doesn't exist.

In 4.1, how can I get rid of the Status bar (bottom left or right corners)?...It is very annoying in some pogo games I play.

Firefox hangs when trying to play YouTube videos. Ending task starts the video and application, but the same thing happens when trying to view the next video. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Task Manager shows that Firefox is still running. Clicking End Task restarts the video playing and application running (then I have to cancel the End Task and Close Program processes).

Try uninstalling Flash Player 10.2 and install the previous version, 10.1.There have been a few reports of problems with Flash that have been solved by using the previous version. You can download the uninstaller for Flash, and get version 10.1 from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html
The Adobe archive files contain multiple versions of 10.1 for all operating systems so is quite a large download, the old-apps lets you just download the Windows versions that you require - http://www.oldapps.com/flash_player.php
You can also try disabling hardware acceleration on Flash to see if that helps. If you can access any Flash content, right-click on it and choose Settings. In the first section of the settings is the option to enable/disable hardware acceleration.
