UPC fonts in crystal runtime reset after fresh logging into SAP B1 desktop client?

Dear Experts,
I have a client who has SAP version: Business One 8.82 (8.82.069) PL: 06 Hotfix2 and Crystal Reports version: 12.1.0.892 Product Type: Full.
They have a shipping report that is printed from production module. They needed UPC barcodes on the report. The achieved that through IDAutomation Fonts. The crystal report uses the IDAutomation Function that takes the field and converts and the font is IDAutomation Font that shows the fields are barcodes.
This repeated works when logged into SAP server using specific id.
IDAutionation is installed on SAP Server.
Here is the problem?
The shipping users have a desktop which has SAP B1 client. That desktop also has IDAutomation fonts installed.
Shipping personnel logs into SAP B1 with the same id that worked on SAP Server, the report prints okay just the first time after it was saved in SAP Server through crystal report edit and save. Next time they log out of SAP client and log back in with same shipper ID, the report does not pick up the UPC IDAutionation fonts. It comes out as some stange text.
The fonts are present in control panel fonts on both server and desktop.
I called IDAutiomation support, they could not help besides saying, put the fonts on both server and client, which I have already done. He also said, there were crystal report runtime issues with fonts?
Could someone help me out here. What am I missing? I even tried installing full crystal report on the desktop and it did not get resolved. Customer is quite desperate to get this resolved.

After removing every xf86-video-* package except xf86-video-nouveau, xf86-video-vesa and xf86-video-nv plus installing nouveau-dri and rebooting, it works. Thanks karol!

Creative Zen's clock gets reset after being plugged into the w

I bought the wall recharger for my Creative Zen 8 GB, as I had another MP3 player (SanDisk Sansa e260) die mysteriously after being plugged into the computer's USB port.
The only complaint I have is that if I leave the Zen plugged in, after it finishes recharging, the screen goes blank and when I unplug it and turn it on, the clock and calendar are reset to their default (March 7, 2008).
I am on a Vista Home Premium computer (no service pack). I have the latest the firmware on the player and use the latest version of Media Explorer.
Does this happen to anyone else who uses the wall charger?

Hello, I read your post & am replying to it because I too am having a clock syncronization issue but mine is not related to plugging it into a wall charger. My date AND time resets too to April 7, 2008 for some reason. I reset it yesterday to the correct date and time for yesterday (May 8, 2008) and now it is reset back to the previous date I mentioned. It couldn't even keep the time/date accurate for 24 hours! My battery was already charged however several days ago and is no where near being finished (it says half full). My firmware version is .2.0.
Anyhow I know this doesn't help you at all, but at least you're not alone on this issue...mine doesn't originate with charging it though...maybe that will help you at the very least.

Crystal Report menu-item not visible on SAP menu of client

1. Installed CR 2008 on server and it runs fine both from Start menu and from within SAP menu. SAP also shows Crystal Reports menu item and Crystal Admin.
2. Installed Crystal Report on one of the clients and it works fine in same way.
3. On 2nd client, SAP Crystal Runtime installed as follows: SAPCrystalSetup.exe run first, then DotNetFramework3.5 run - it resulted in "Setup error". Then run the CRRuntime_12_0_mlb.exe without errors. Then installed CR designer, On this client, Crystal Reports 2008 opens fine from Start menu. However from within SAP, it does not show Crystal Reports Admin nor the Crystal Reports menu-item.
a) This user has "automatic" start of Crystal Reports 2.0.0.6 in Add-on Administration.
b) However, in Add-on Manager, Crystal Report does not show at all.
c) In Add-Remove programs, I see that Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 exists on the client.
d) OS is Microsoft XP.
How could I see Crystal Administration or 'Crystal Reports' menu-item from within SAP on this client?

1) On Add-Remove Programs on the client, I see the following:
Crystal Reports 2008 Runtime
Crystal Reports Basic 2008 for SAP Business One
Microsoft.NET Framework 1
Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2
Microsoft.NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2
Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5 SP1
SAP Business One Crystal Reports 2.0.0.6
2) The settings are:
Company Preferences for Crystal Reports for SAP Business One / Version 2.0.0.6/ Default Group Automatic/ Active Yes
User Preferences Tab-User RT-Preference is set to Default.
On server, 'Installed Add-ons' tab shows Crystal Status as 'Connected'
However, on the client, Add-on manager, both "Installed Add-ons" as well as "Pending Add-ons" tabs do not show Crystal Reports row at all.
3) The user RT on the client is a super-user.

Couldn't log into SAP System (message 00264) after SAP_BASIS update

Hello,
we performed SAP_BASIS update to SAPKB70023 and get a problem with logon into a SAP system with message 00264 (Status &2 of the user interface &1 missing).
We have a 64-bit non-Unicode system on Solaris/SPARC/Oracle and Kernel level 333.
We tried to import MENUSYST program from note 1285869, but nothing happened at all. The parameter abap/unicode_check we set to "on" but this didn't help us.
So after selecting system record in SAP Logon now we get the initial logon screen with no "new password" button and error 00264 (Status 0020 of the user interface SAPMSYST missing.) and couldn't log into the system.
We have no idea why correct and existing statuses are not working.
Please suggest us what to do to fix this problem.

After log into SAP Portal, Terms&Conditions Window should open

As per one of the requirement in my project, i have to develop below applicaiton.
Requirement: Once user logged into portal & trying to access his role first time in a year, Terms & condtions window should open, once user accepted the terms& condtions, user can access his role. if user entered into portal second time in a year, direclty can access his roles.
For this: i have created webdynpro-java application with empty view & portal abstract portal component with terms & conditions text, then i have created portal Iviews for both webdynpro-java application and abstract portal comonent, then i am calling abstract portal component Iview into webdynpro-java component controller wdDoinit() method via WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute() method.
Finally, i have assingned webdypro-java ivew to Test Role: once click on role it is calling Terms&Conditions pop window.
Questions:
1. how can i use same Iview in user actual role, i mean, once user click on his role first time terms & codition window should open? after accepting terms & condtions only his role can access...
2. how can i navigate from terms & condtions to his role?
3. if user didn't accept terms&conditions, he can't access his roles, how can i handle this?
4. how can i check, if it is user first login into portal or not in a year ? where i have to store this user data? what are the parameters i have to use?
can you please help me on this?

I would redefine com.sap.portal.navigation.portallauncher.default component for your purpose

Using ice I imported my users in to a container with a password. With admin rights I checked
Required a password
Force periodic password changes
Required password changes
Limit grace logins
User logs in all fields return back to unchecked.
I gave NDS rights WRITE & add self to the container with inheritable.
What else do I need to manage users accounts?

If you have a password policy (Universal Password), then those attributes
are updated to reflect the values from your policy when the user logs in.
You cannot change them to something other than what the policy is
configured for, they revert back as the policy is enforced.

One section of one web site gives "The parameter is incorrect" only after I log into the site and only a blank screen?

"The parameter is incorrect" is the error msg. on a blank screen when I log in to a particular web site.
Of many tabs at the site only one gives this error.
Without logging in I can navigate as I desire.
I access this site on a daily basis. Using Safari is no problem at all.
FF 16.0.2 on a mac 10.6.8 this also occurred before upgrade to 16.0.2
I have not applied any bells or whistles to FF . . to my knowledge.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

I'm having a similar issue with my Mini with Lion. To wake it from sleep I have a black screen. If I hold down the mouse (pad) button and move around the screen, the log in page is painted. I paint in the login window enough to enter my password, then all is well. What the heck can I do to stop this?

Safari will not load pages after logging into certain sites

Mac OS X 10.4.11, Safari 3.1 running on a Power Macintosh G4 "Quicksilver" 2002. All software updates are installed.
After I log into certain web sites (Apple Support Discussions being one of them), Safari simply stops loading pages. It will "try" briefly but each page comes up blank. In fact, they don't even appear to download.
This has been going on for a while now. I can't even remember when it started. I have done fresh installations of Mac OS X on to a clean disk to try and solve the problem. This has not resulted in any improvement. I am not using any extensions or modifiers.
As an experiment, I've tried a few Webkit Nightly Builds. Those did not work any better.
On some sites, such as eBay, Safari will put an empty file on the desktop. eBay is a prime example--after I sign in, an empty file called eBayIsapi.dll appears on the desktop.
Seemingly this has been reported other places. What I didn't find was a fix. Is there anything that can be done to resolve this problem?

I've just given up after several versions of Safari doing the same thing. It seems to be a bad interaction with Websense web filtering blocking some things that Safari expects to be able to download and process.
I don't even use Safari any more because of this.

50L4353DB - Screen goes blank and unresponsive after logging into Skype

After successfully logging into Skype on our Toshiba 50L4353DB, I am presented with my contacts momentarily, then the screen goes black and there is no response from the TV. Upon exiting from Skype, the screen remains blank.
Here is the solutions I have tried to no aveil:
I have updated to the latest firmware
Tried connect through both a wired and wireless connection
Tried loggin with and without the webcam installed (Freetalk 7291)
Reseting the TV back to factory settings
Has anyone else had this problem?
Is the problem with the Skype app or the TV itself?

I have had the same problem. I first got the 65L7350U 3D TV, and did the complete setup. I orderd the FreeTalk video camera indicated as the ONLY one that is compatible with this TV. At first, around Christmas 2013 it was working fine, and the video was awesome. But, in the past 2 weeks, Skype no longer works. Presently when SKYPE is chosen, it will not even start, and the black screen appears, and stays till you exit to the cloud.
I have reset the TV on 6 separate occasions, and here is what has come from that:
Each time, I signed back into my cloud account, then booted Skype, and each time Skype asked me to sign in, as if it was the first time the app was running. I signed into the Skype site, and the connection was correct. I saw my photo, and my list of contacts, but then the app quits, leaving a black screen, and no response from any keyboard or remote buttons, except for the Home button for return to the Cloud. I do ge the screen that asks if I want to exit the current mode, and the only choice is yes, because a no will give you the same black screen with no Skype running. On one occasion in the past 6 TV resets I was able to make one call to the Skype Call Testing Service, and check the sound and microphone. It worked perfectly with the sound and the microphone, but as soon as the Testing Service disconnected the call, the screen went blank, back to black, and locked up, again requiring return to the Cloud page.
Apparenlty when the screen goes blank, Skype is still running, but there is no way to access its functions.
It appears to be a Software problem with that app, but I have been unable to find a way to delete that app and install either a previous version or an upgraded version of the current one. Any suggestions?

Users cannot log into Remote Desktop after 3/11/2015 update!

I have a simple network where users can log into a Windows SBS 2008 server with Remote Desktop to access various applications. This worked quite smoothly until this morning, after the updates of last evening. (3/11/2015)
When users tried to log into the Remote Desktop this morning their credentials were rejected, as if their username and/or password were incorrect. Even I (as the administrator) could not log in remotely. Finally I connected a monitor and keyboard
directly to the server and was able to log in without an issue. After logging in directly I was able to connect through remote desktop.
This method worked for my other users as well - after I logged them in directly they were able to use remote desktop no problem.
The trouble is that I have a couple dozen users, and this is an issue that should not be occurring. What happened in the last update to cause remote desktop to reject users credentials? Why does it only work after the user logs in directly?
And most importantly, how do I fix this?
A few notes:
Simply browsing for files on the server also asks for the user's name and password, and this works as well. This is only a remote desktop issue.
I have already checked to make sure the domain was correct. It was.
I have already checked to make sure the usernames and passwords were correct. They were.
I have already checked to make sure this was not a unique issue for a single (or limited number) of users. This issue effected
all users all the network.

I'm curious here... If the server is rebooted, does it put the RDS users back into a "credentials failed" situation? If so, could you please have them log in with credentials:
domain.local\username (I suspect they may be currently using domain\username)
and see if that fixes the RDS problem without having to first log into the server directly.
The ".local" may be ".lan" or ".somethingelse" depending on how you initially configured your domain, but the default for SBS 2008 is ".local"

That's a good question - the server will auto-reboot this evening and I'll test again in the morning.
You are correct that we've been using domain\username. I tried domain.local\username (which is the way we've set up), and that did not work either.
I'll let you know how things turn out tomorrow morning. I don't want to mess with my users anymore today. :P

Crystal Runtime exception: Missing parameter values

Our company did a PeopleTools upgrade at one of our clients recently. We upgraded them to PeopleTools 8.50.08. We had to convert all the Crystal Reports to the 2008 format using the RPT converter which is included in the Client install of PeopleTools.
The only problem now is that a lot of the Crystal processes in PeopleSoft are failing with the following error:
Crystal Runtime exception: Missing parameter values.
I've checked the parameters which are being passed to the report and I see both parameters are filled:

Database type is Oracle. HRMS version is 8.8. I can run the Query which gets the data in just fine and I can also run the report from Crystal fine. This only happens with Crystal reports which have a date field as a parameter/prompt in the report.
There's currently an SR open at Oracle, but I was hoping that someone here can help me nail this issue. I'm not too happy with the quallity of Oracle support, but that's a whole different story.

For running SharePoint Designer 2013, you need to install Microsoft .NET 4.0 Framework or higher.
Please uninstall the Microsoft .NET 4.0 Framework, and install it again. After that, reboot your machine.
