Update was terminated when we do commit work twice in short time

Hi Experts,
i have one Data bas update problem. My requirement is to create contracts in CRM with new item category(suppose ZSFT) than what is determined(ZSRT). i am using CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN FM to create contracts after that i am calling CRM_ORDER_SAVE to save transaction then COMMIT WORK key word to commit in data base. Since transaction is created with Determined item category(ZSRT) i am calling change transaction bapi BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_CHANGEMULTI to change item category after that BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_SAVE to save transaction and BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT to commit the work. but second commit is not happening instead error message "Update was terminated" recieved from author "XXXX". when i created test program with BAPIs to change already created contracts to change item category it is working fine.
Any body has any clue.

Here is what I'm trying to acheive.. I'm working on an interface that creates a docflow and creates service confirmation against existing service order. In the confimation file when I have new ZAPP((partner function ZAPP) I need to delete ZAPP that gets copied over from service order into the confirmation in docflow. Right now, in my first CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN call I have one entry for new ZAPP and I have It_docflow populated. This creates two ZAPPs on the confirmation. I need to delete ZAPP on the confirmation that is copied over from service order.
Right now I'm reading the confirmation and trying to delete the ZAPP but after my second crm_order_maintain,order save and commit call sequence I'm getting this error update was terminated.
Experts any help on how to get around this issue would be highly appreciated.

I am getting the error "Update was terminated " when I try to change the GLcode and post the document through transaction FBR2. The ABAP dump error shows ASSERTION_FAILED in the program LGLIOA20 , form OBJECTNR_FIND_GLPCC. Moreover it's a V1 update.
I am not sure what data is missing during the posting. Can you suggest what would be the cause for termination occurred?

Update was Terminated when creating a Sales Order

Hiii...
When the sales order was created for the first time in the QAS System, it thrown a update error saying "Update was terminated user XXXXX". I checked the error message in SM13 and found that the error was in
RV_MESSAGE_UPDATE.
When i check the dump of this, there was a dump saying
" The length of COMMON PART "VEDACOM" in program "RVADOR01" is incorrect."
"Error analysis"
The structure of the COMMON PART "VEDACOM" in program "RVADOR01" is
different from the corresponding area in the calling program
"/SMB40/RVADOR01".
Length of the COMMON PART in program RVADOR01: 6600 bytes.
Length of the COMMON PART in program /SMB40/RVADOR01: 2840 bytes.
There is probably an error in the program
"RSNAST00".
This is for V1 Document type for ZA01 Output type.
Error occured at
896 * restore original NAST record (in case TNAPR-RONAM changed something)
NAST = TEMP_NAST.
The same thing is working fine in DEV. But problem in QAS. This is the first document generated in QAS.

There are two common reasons for the dump: a) Z-program or b) Incorrect
Program
Resolution
Replace the Z-programs with the standard output
Check the following customizing: SPRO > SD > Basic Functions >
Output Control > Output determination using the condition technique >
Maintain Output Determination for sales documents > Maintain output types.
Select Output type ‘BA00’, double click on “Processing Routines” and change for
medium 1 the program from ‘/SMB40/RVADOR01’ to for example‘RVADOR01’

When short text is changed manually in Dynamic modification rules (QDR2), I saved it "Dynamic modification rule xxx was changed". Next I got the error message: "Update was terminated".

sometimes it happens that system takes some time to save & update the data in the background.
so wait for some time & again check .It will work.
The data which if changes do not have any repercation on existing system can be changed at any time.

How to resolve the problem of "Update was terminated" when posting

When I post goods issue, I receive a message "Update was terminated".
Then, I use SM13 to check update requests, I see an error

This probelm is becuase you are trying to enter a record for which primary key already exists in the table.
The insertion you are doing with a set of values which already exist and sap is getting this error that the "Duplicate record during insertion". try to check your insertion values and through se16 check if they already exist in the table mkpf.
To rectify the data or else change the table and add one more unique to the primary key.

Hi friends,
I am getting follwing error when trying to issue print output using VL02N tcode:
Error: Update was terminated.
When seen in SM13 i saw following info for function module RV_MESSAGE_UPDATE,which was showing error:
Error Info: MC 601: Object requested is currently locked by user RAMU.
When seen in SM12,i don't find any lock by above user RAMU(which is my user id itself).
I request please give me some inputs on how to avoid this error.

Update was terminated on WSM8 " POSTING_ILLEGAL_STATEMENT"

our system is ecc6 with IS -retail activated. support Stack level is 12 and database is oracle , os is windows.
We are getting express document error " Update was terminated " when executing WSM8 . on ST22, we are getting following error
POSTING_ILLEGAL_STATEMENT . We applied note 1053491
which is similar to the issue but it does not solve.

at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
There is probably an error in the program
"SAPLSYDB".
This program is triggered in the update task. There, the
following ABAP/4 statements are not allowed:
- CALL SCREEN
- CALL DIALOG
- CALL TRANSACTION
- SUBMIT
How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"POSTING_ILLEGAL_STATEMENT" " "
"SAPLSYDB" or "LSYDBU27"
"DB_COMMIT"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)

Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes

This error message comes when ur transaction doesn't get the proper system resources or when the load on the server is too much. Becuase of which tables dont get update and u get the error .
basically it is performance issue of the system. U can try after some time if proble persists u can contact ur BASIS team.

Error 'Update Was Terminated' - While clearing an open item

Hi,
We are facing a problem where we receive an error - "Update Was Terminated" when we try to clear some entries for 3-4 vendors (posted in period 12 of year 2006. it happens only for those 3-4 vendors). We have identified the problem as follows:
1) We ran program SAPF190 and found that there is a defference in the 'debit balance' and Total of line items' for these vendors. I ran program SAPF71 (in Quality server) which rectified some entries. However, some entries still remain incorrect and these entries that still remain incorrect are ones - "which have a posting date of 10 oct 2006, but the posting period picked up by the document header is period 12, instead of period 7". Now, some other documents posted for the same vendor on the same date have picked up the correct posting period i.e. 7. I am really baffled at how this actually happened and howcome the system allowed it??
2) After running program SAPF190, there were some entries that got corrected (these entries were just not captured by the system in the balance field, and did not have the same problem as the entries mentioned above where the wrong posting period was picked by the system). When i tried to clear the line items for the vendors whose entries had been rectified, it still gve the update error. When i checked the number range status, i noticed something very odd:
"The number range status shows a number much higher than what the system is automatically picking for the documents (e.g system picks 230 as the document number when posting, but the number range staus in FBN1 shows current number as 256). Also, once 256 is reached (i posted 26 documents for it) and we post the 257th document, the error remains and the status number now moves up 100 places to 356). At this time if i post another document it picks the number 258 instead of 356...and if i keep posting documents till 356 is reached, im sure when i post the 357th document, the status will jump to 456)
Can someone please help me here!! I dont understand how and why this is happening!!

Hi,
The error is "Update was terminated" . It sends this message to my inbox!! After searching a bit i found about the two reports - SAPF190 and SAPF071. After running them i found some balance mis-match. I ran the two programs and it rectified those mis-matched entries!! However, even after that, it is giving me the same "update was terminated" error. We are using F-44 for clearing.
This error is coming only for those entries which we had posted using a user-exit. Basiaclly these are entries for late payment which were programmed to be posted directly at the time of invoicing. I just checked the code of the exit, and these entries were (astonishingly) made directly into the BKPF and BSEG tables (infact the posting period was hard-coded to '12', which is why even when my posting date for these documents is 10.10.2006, it still enters posting period '12' in the header instead of '7'.). Therefore, there were balance mis-match when we saw the monthly balance in FK10N and compared it with the line items total for that month. However, on running report SAPF071, it corrected those entries, but the update error problem still persists!!

del doc no. while creating billing do with ref to this del doc I am getting
an error " update was terminated". when I cheched Vlo2n it says that the doc does not exist.
Even I have done PGI the stock is not deducted( MMBE).
   Please help me to rectify this error.

Check if number range is maintained for accounting document to be generated at PGI level. You will have to consult an FI consultant for the same.
Also check the document flow & there is high possibility that PGI is not saved, but number range utilized during the transaction.

When I am posting using MIRO it is giving error saying that 'update was terminated'
when i check in SM13 following message

So, is this a question or comment? If you search for SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC, I'll bet you'll find quite a few postings...the message says it all...an attempt was made to insert a record into a table with key column values that duplicate an entry that is already there. If the problem is repeatable, search SAP notes for relevant Notes, or find out if someone has done some enhancement/exit coding that is causing the problem.

Getting Express document 'Update was Terminated' in Call Transaction AS02

Hi All,
I've written BDC for changing the Asset Master using Call Transaction Method. After the Call Transaction it it showing me the Success message that 'The Asset has been Changed'.But it is not reflecting in the Database table.When i navigate back from th e screen I'm getting the Express document as 'Update was terminated'.
Please help me in this regard.

Hi,
have you used commit statement after the call transaction statement, or if there is any enhancement for AS02 transaction remove the commit work statement from the enhancement.
