Updated ipod, wiped out songs, and now I can't get them back on to to it

I updated my daughters ipod nano, not knowing that it would wipe out all her songs. Now we are trying to get them back on from her library and it only copies 1 song from her 79 and it does not give us the option to send them to it.
Please Help !!

Welcome to Apple Discussions!
When the iPod is connected to the computer and in iTunes go to edit-->preferences. Click the iPod tab. Make sure it is set to automatically update all songs and playlists. Click OK.
If that doesn't work, try restoring the iPod...
Restore the iPod
Now try putting the songs on.
Also, are the songs that are not transferring purchased (from the iTunes Music Store)?

I closed all the task bars at the top (so now there is only the blue strip that says 'Firefox - Mozilla Firefox' and the tabs) and now I can't get them back. I moved the project files and now I can't get them back into iMovie 11

I was working on a project but I ran out of disk space before I could finish it. Now, for this very purpose, I have an external hard drive with plenty of space on it. So I tried moving the folder with all my project files onto the external hd, and now iMovie can't find my project anymore. With iMovie '06 it was as simple as hitting "save as" and saving the project to the external hd, but I guess that's not complicated enough for the new version. Now I can't get into my project. I even try clicking on the actual project file, and it goes to iMovie as if the project was about to open, but nothing happens. So I fear I wasted a lot of time working on that project only to have to start all over because I ran out of disk space.
Someone please tell me there's a way to get the project files open again. Thanks

that is a simple one and should be a routine after purchasing a new drive (in a Mac-only environment!):
• on your Mac, Apps/Utilities you'll find Disk 'Utility'
• on the left lane, you'll notice your connected hard drive(s)
• select it, click on the 'erase' tab
• NOTE: FORMATTING A DRIVE MEANS ERASING ALL CONTENT ON THAT DRIVE!

My ipod worked fine when i just got it. I had a lot of songs on there, and then one day, it just erased all of them...?? any ideas why that happened. And now my ipod won't put them back on there, i have tried everything, help please!

Have you tried restoring your iPod, this will erase the hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings so make sure you have all your songs backed up in iTunes. Once the restore is complete a fresh installation should update from iTunes: Restoring iPod to Factory Settings

Hey I'm a novice on computers but i've just done a full system restore on my laptop and put it back to factory spec, obviously i backed up all the data on an external hard-drive but when i have re-installed itunes and gone to import all my old music files from my previous itunes library as mpeg4 files it keeps telling me i don't have permission??!! *** someone please explain or tell me how to get music on to my new itunes without having to re-import every cd i own which is alot!!!

Other than iMovie, GB always incorporates the audio files into the GB package. So just save or move the GB project to the external drive, and you're done - anything you import, edit or record will be saved to the external drive.

Yup, your question and Diane's answer helped me also. Tho' I had had problems before getting into the iTunes store I always managed to find a way. Today they had me blocked cold with the "Update to 10" advert no matter what I did. Other questioners are being told, incorrectly as it turns out, that they have to update their OS to accomodate iTunes 10 and upgrade to iTunes 10. I did the download which did not take up much more room on my crowded old hard drive and now I'm back in business.

Have you tried going to settings - iTunes store - check for rentals? If it does not initially appear try logging out and back into your account.

If you're using Lion, you can resize by dragging from any corner, in Leopard and lower it can only be resized from the bottom right hand corner.

If you had a back-up created you can simply restore from your back-up.
