Updating Lightroom to 5.4 fails in Windows error 1402. Help.

I wasn't able to update Lightroom to version 5.3 neither 5.4. I get "Error 1402. Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Installer\Products\576C6E45 . . . \SourceList\Media. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."
Running Windows 7 64-bit and am the administrator of the machine. I've already tried EVERYTHING I found in forums and help pages without success.
I'm also facing problems trying to update Adobe Air. I haven't been able to update it in TWO YEARS. Unbelievable. I've paid a lot of money for software from Windows and Adobe, but then when we run into problems, we're left in the dark. THOUSANDS have been facing the same problem (as any simple google search can show us) and still, no useful help.

The message is in swedish. Basically the program memory has not enough
capacity. Close safari, mail Spotify. When I do this the screen freezes and I
need to press start for 5 sec. to restart the machine. No error code. Apple not
very helpful.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

System Update 4.0.0046 install fails on Windows 7 SP1

I just tried updating my Lenovo System Update to the latest version compatible with Windows 7 SP1 (version 4.0.0046), and it fails every time with the following error:
Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\DARREN~1.STI\AppData\Local\Temp\pftD0BB.tmp\setup\pasinst.exe' Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
I looked in the 'pftD0BB.tmp' folder and there is no 'setup' folder, so I'm guessing this is an error in the installer?
Any ideas? Definitely want to get this up and running again.

It's no longer (sadly) surprising to me that this issue has not been publicly addressed and that I experienced the same issue with 4.0.100.1124 today.
Here is what worked for me. I don't have the bandwidth to test this again, nor is it likely the most direct method (I'm sure several of these steps are redundant). And I hate authoring instructions for just about anything. Just my blundering path to a non-failing installation.
1. Downloaded the systemupdate40-2011-02-18.exe from the Lenovo support site.
2. Ran systemupdate40-2011-02-18.exe and was presented with the "Windows cannot find..." love note.
3. Unpacked systemupdate40-2011-02-18.exe (I use winrar) to a folder on the desktop (e.g. \sysupdate\)
4. Ran setup.exe within that folder...same failure to find psainst.exe
5. Located and executed psaddZip.exe within same folder. This unpacks to a \setup folder with, surprise surprise, psainst.exe within.
6. Ran setup.exe again. Successful installation.
System Update 4.0.1.x.whatever ran, checked, and updated beautifully, and then BSOD'd on restart. But I'm still here.
Your mileage will most certainly vary.

You see this screen when you right-click on the ItunesSetup.exe in your Downloads folder.
downloads>ItunesSetup.exe (right-click)>yourself as admin & UNCHECK THAT BOX!> conntinue with new installation and even find your old playlists still intact!!
This is apparently a Windows XP fix alone. MSVCR80.dll is (probably) reinstalled by Itunes under a partnership aggreement with Microsoft.
Using the Microsoft "Fix It" utility at http://support.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall/en does NOT fix anything. Abandon All Hope Ye Who Run This Utility More Than Once

After downloading a the latest version of itunes, I got the below error messages.
"The Procedure entry point JSPropertyNameArrayRelease could not be located in the dynamic link library WebKit.dll"
"Itunes was not installed correctly Please reinstall Error 7 (windows error 127)"
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on a x64 based PC
I have tried uninstalling all apple applications as directed on the troubleshooter, getting the latest windows update, latest itunes version and re-installing only to get the message again and again... very frustrating.
Can anyone help? I am going through withdrawels

If this doesn't work, you can try these steps
Update Acrobat to its latest patch of 10.1.7 and Reader to 9.5.5 and then test the issue.
Navigate to where Acrobat or Adobe Reader is installed, usually C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\plug_ins or C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\plug_ins rename the Updater.api plug-in to Updater.api.old relaunch Acrobat or Reader and then test the issue.
Provide full permission to the Application Data folder and then test the issue. You can navigate to C:\Users\[USERNAME]\ location to get the AppData folder.
On Windows 7 and Vista platforms, verify the LocalLow directory exists at C:\Users\<user>\AppData with Read and Write permissions.

After today's security update, my macbook pro is failing to boot: error 19

Update 2012-002 on macbook pro. When rebooting,after 'successful' install, I now see a repeating cycle of Error = 19, unable to mount root. From my *nix perspective I fear the worst - that the boot sector (at a minimum) is hosed. I tried (running Lion 10.7.x) booting with the command key down - no joy. do not currently have my install disk (sadly, it's in storage, somewhere).
I'm concerned about this. this is VERY unusual for an update. This is a relatively new drive (750GB drive installed about 8 months ago). At no point have I seen errors, and believe me, I look.

yes. Apologies for being unclear. command--R does nothing but report the same error (note, I have verbose boot enabled).I was an apple tech long ago, I tried myriad key options, just for grins.
Shift key while powering up will bring the expected 'grey' background, with the dark grey apple. After a period of searching, the apple is replaced by the 'no sign'.
an addendum: I believe I know where the issue is, and while I cannot nail it, it's quite likely it is because of a failed filevault2 startup. I went through the process of enabling filevault2, got the key, restarted and when I went to look at the progress of the encryption - it had not 'taken'. I was at the option to enable it again. I didn't think much of that at the time (though I know from working in the past with full drive encryption) that the reboot was invovling a rewrite of the boot sector. However it DID reboot, and more than once. I was able to use the system for a couple of weeks, until today's update. I personally don't feel it had to do with the security update - more it had to do with the failed filevault2 enabling.

I tried to upgrade Lightroom today and now my CC install has STB and will not boot. I'm using a Mac lappy running 10.10.3 and have gone through and removed everything and run the cleaner and still no love. I'm in a bind and need assistance STAT! Please advise!

Failed to connect Error - Need Help, Please

I installed , created the simple "Hello" program and it ran fine on the simulator.
Then, I click the run OTA and now I'm in deep yogurt!
I get the message:

Failed to connect to device 0!
Reason:
Emulator 0 terminated while waiting for it to register!
BUILD SUCCESSFUL (total time: 4 seconds)
I just want to restore things to what they were before I selected Run OTA. I've been reading for the past 3 hours and haven't found out to restore. I even deleted and re-installed but, still get the same meassge (probably some saved java pref file...). Anyway, HOW TO RESTORE to a virgin setup????

When an business rule fails the window Errors and Warning in this Transaction with the error-message is not shown. Instead we get the message Transaction failed
(when using sqlplus the same message appears, then running @messages.sql =>correct message)
According to a previous discussion the ON-ERROR of the module component should be modified (author Bart van Ges 22 May 2002). And this works, the window Errors and Warning in this Transaction is shown with the correct message.
Has anyone another solution, patch or any idea why the window doesn't appear without the modification?

Since Headstart for 6.0 (patch 12) and Headstart for 6i, Headstart default only functions well in combination with CDM RuleFrame. If you want to deviate from this standard, the functionality in the libraries should be adapted for this purpose. There are several ways to do this:
- show serverside errors in an error Alert window
- show serverside errors in the RuleFrame transaction and errors window.
Whatever approach you choose - in this thread several suggestions are being made - it is not documented in headstart how to do this. The Oracle Headstart group is not able at this moment to investigate time to workout the alternatives, though I will add an enhancement request to headstart to document these options in the headstart user guide.
Two extra suggestions:
- try to test your workaround as well as possible (try to raise errors from server, client, try to violate server constraints (pk, uk, fk, ck) and try to let serverside pl/sql fail.
- if you do not make use of ruleframe, you might run into a problem if you try to commit in the serverside logic, in this case remove the calls in the template package (qms$even_form) to open and close the transaction (pre-commit and post-forms-commit trigger events).

I have Vista Home Premium, SP2. After successfully installing using iTunes64setup.exe, when I try to open iTunes, I get 2 messages:
1. iTunes.exe - Bad Image: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\CoreVideo.dll is either not designed to run on Windwos or it contains an error. When I click Ok on that message, I get 2nd Message
2. iTunes was not installed correctly. Please resinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193)
