Updating Word templates in Content Types - changes not appearing automatically

Hello
I have a SharePoint site where I have existing content types all with MS Word templates assigned to them. I wish to change the Word template so it looks different.
I have saved my Word template as a .dot file and have edited my content type so it points to the updated template in the 'Advanced' area of the content type properties. When I look at my template via the 'Edit Template' in the 'advanced' area of the
content type it is fine (as it is when I look at the template file via explorer view) but when I create a new document based on the content type it is referring to the old template. Furthermore, I have renamed some of the content type names but they
have not updated either.
Any ideas? Is there a background process that runs to help with this?

Sorry, just re-visited this and i think i might have missed an obvious answer.
SharePoint tries to protect you from yourself.
That measn that it will not, in some cases, push changes down to lists. For example if you were to delete a column at the site level which is also in place on lists SharePoint won't delete it from the lists.
I'll bet that If you look at the content type at the library level it's showing the old details still.

Content type (Audio) not appearing as choice for document properties in a document set

We've created a document set for which there are currently 11 Content types. When we upload a document to the document set we have the following problems:
one of the content types is not available (A customized Audio Content Type).
we can't seem to set the order in which the content types appear in the list (incomplete though it is)
we also can't set the default content type for uploaded documents.
Is there a way to resolve these issues?
Notes:
Three are several document sets in the content hub but only one in the library where this content type is used.
We're running SP2013

Hi Barry,
Based on your description, my understanding is that the content type called Audio is not available when uploading a document to the document set.
I recommend to check if the content type is added to the Allowed Site Types of the document set content type.
Please follow the steps below:
Make sure that the content type has been added to the library.
In Library settings page of the library, click Document set content type under Content Types.
Click Document Set settings under Settings.
Check if the content type called Audio is included in the Content Types allowed in the Document Set. If not, please add it to the allowed content types.

Receiver AS2 Advantco Adapter Content type change

Hi All,
I am working on SFTP to As2(Advantco) scenario. We are sending the txt files to target.
As of now file is sent with content type application/xml. But target system is asking to change it to "application/octet-stream"
In the AS2 adapter guide, there is section 3.4.4.8. MIME Settings which talks about content type change.
Unfortunately i am not seeing that in the receiver channel.
does anyone know how to change the content type for AS2 channel?
Will standard adapter module work on third party adapter? like messageTransformBean

How to know whether the Content Type at Library level is Inheriting Parent Content type or not Using Powershell?

How to know whether the Content Type at Library level is Inheriting Parent Content type or not using Powershell?
Is there any property for that? Or Do I need to compare the Content type Id's at Site collection level and Library level?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ashok,
For a content type, there is an attribute called Inherits, the value of this attribute determines whether the content type inherits fields from its parent content type when it is created.
If Inherits is TRUE, the child content type inherits all fields that are in the parent, including fields that users have added.
If Inherits is FALSE or absent and the parent content type is a built-in type, the child content type inherits only the fields that were in the parent content type when SharePoint Foundation was
installed. The child content type does not have any fields that users have added to the parent content type.

Output type is not appearing in ME22N

Hi,
I have created some POs through sales order.i.e created a sales order and taken the PR from that.
Using ME59N, I have converted the PR to PO. The PO will have some output types attached (in the unprocesssed status).
The Output types (in the MESSAGES) are visible in ME23N. When I look into the PO in change mode ME22N, the output types are not appearing.... this is not the case with all the POs. Happening only for few POs.
Could you please suggest.

Hello,
Review your condition record values against the PO's that don't have an output type.
Could be something like purchasing group, material group, etc.

Pricing ZCondition Types are not appearing in Condition Record Maintanence

We have a requirement in SAP CRM Opportunity Management where the pricing determination should happen. So, to facilitate the requirement we have done the following
Downloaded the DNL_CUST_CNDALL and DNL_CUST_CND from ECC to CRM
But the Problem is when I am trying to maintain the Condition record in T-Code "/SAPCND/GCM" 　our Z-Condition types are not appearing in the list, also in Product Master Condition Tab.
Please suggest me how to resolve this issue.

Hi Karthik,
As a best practice -
1. If you are downloading the condition type and pricing procedure from ECC, then it is advisable to use ECC as a master system for all your Z condition type/condition record maintenance.
2. Similarly if you are using Pricing procedure as of ECC, then ensure that the downloaded pricing procedure in CRM is used for pricing procedure determination.
3. The condition record in T-Code "/SAPCND/GCM" is advisable to use if you are mainly using CRM Pricing.
By looking at your problem statement you are using ECC pricing procedure, condition types by downloading it to CRM.
If you have any other comments to make, please give the exact problem statement or any appropriate problem screenshot for further analysis.

VPRS cond type is not appearing after creating a sales order

Dear Friends,
I have copied pricing procedure from Std pric procedure i.e from RVAA01.
In Material master in Accounting 1the following things are maintained,
Valuation Class--7920 ( Finished products)
VC Sales Order Stock--7920 ( Finished products)
Pricing Control-V ( Moving average Price/Periodic unit price)
Standard Price--- Blank
Price Unit--1
Total stock--100
In Pricing procedure VPrS cond type is included and settings are as follow,
Statistics---Relevant
Subtotal-- B ( carry over value to KOMP-WAVWR (cost))
Requirement--4
Item Catg is TAN and in Business data it is relevant for Determine Cost.
Activated cost determination for item categ TAN
But when I am creating sales order VPRS cond type is not appearing.
Analysis is saying
The requirement 004 is assigned to this condition in the pricing procedure. This requirement was not met and so the condition was excluded from further processing.
Can anybody tell me where I am going wrong?

Thanks for your reply as per your instruction I have maintained cond type and also in Pric procedure I removed 4 from Requirement column.
Now I am getting following error,

This condition has not been determined using condition records. The amount or value should be determined from another data source. For cost (condition category 'G') it is read using conditions from the material valuation segment, for a cash discount condition it is read using conditions from the terms of payment table.
In this transaction an error occurs - the material valuation segment or the terms of payment table could not be read or a currency translation has failed.
System Response
The condition has been provided with the deactivated indicator 'X'.
Procedure
Refer to the messages in the status line of the condition overview screen.

Custom output type is not triggering automatically

Hi Experts,
We have created a custom output type for Delivery idoc processing.
it is working fine for all ship to patrys.
but from last 2 months onwards we are facing problem for one ship to party.
output type is not triggering automatically but for rest of ship to party's it is triggering automatically.
we have maintained conditions and also selected trigger immediately.
earlier it was working fine, but from last 2 months onwards we are facing this problem.

Goto the Delivery document and in the Output screen check the Determine analysis for output.
There it will clearly show what is missing .
Please check that and revert back if you need more clarification.

Amount Rule Type field not appearing in settlement rule screen.

Hi Experts,
We developed a program which creates settlement rules automatically on uploading data from excel file.
We encountered the following error.
cursor field COBRB-BRTYP does not exist in the screen
In the Settlement rule screen, under distribution rules, the field amount rule type is not appearing.
We have 3 level WBS structure. For the 1 level WBS this field is not appearing. But this field is visible for below WBS.

As i said, we are using an excel sheet upload to create settlement rules for WBS elements.
While uploading we got this error. COBRB-BRTYP does not exist in the screen.
Now we need to check with abaper, why the program is checking that field in particular.

Tax code and price list not appear automatic

Hi My Dear,
i work in R12.1.1 (solution beacon)
-I assigned tax out classification code to an item from the master item,when navigate to sales order and enter the item,the tax code dose not joined with item ,it should be selected from the LOV
- also I linked the price list to a specific customer and an order type ,when navigate to sales order header and select the customer and order type the price list dose not appear automatic
i should click on the price list field to appear.

MS Word Template in Content Server

Hi, we have this problem.
we have a Z transactions asking the user to give some data and save it in a table with key number, the user can attach several documents (.DOC) from local pc and transaction use content server to store these documents and linked it to the data stored in table via the key document. all of this is working fine. we are using ARCHIVOBJECT_CREATE_FILE and ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT functions to save this file in content server and link the document to the key number.
now we are trying to make the transaction open a MS word template , the user fill the word document and when its done the transaction save it in content server
some can give some help to do this?
we are searching a way to :
1.- store a Ms Word template in SAP
2.- Open this MS Word template with a button in the Z transaction.
3.- Let the user fill the template .
3.- save the document filled in content server without change the original template and linked to the data with the same key number.

All catch is to insert table in the correct level of xml schema.
1. So you first need to insert add elements to the template until you reach the element that you want to use in the table. For example if you want to display items of orders, this level would be Transactionhistoryofheader - Btdocflowall - Item
2. After that you would insert table with 2 rows and as many columns as you need.
3. The first row of the table is used for column headers. You can type in freely any text you want to display in column headers.
4. The second row of the table is for the entries themselves. In the second row you have to add elements from the xml schema that are in the lower part of the element under which you inserted table. For example, under Transactionhistoryofheader - Btdocflowall - Item are then next nodes Btorder - Administrationheaderoneorder - Description. So in this case in first column will be displayed descriptions of all entries.
5. At runtime rows are added dynamicly depending on actual number of entries.

File created with Document Content Type will not be saved back to Sharepoint library

Recently some of our users, after upgrading to Windows 8.1 with Office 2013, intermittantly are not able to save files created using document content types template back to sharepoint library. Instead the location is set
to their local storage. The same templates used by Windows 7 users with Office 2010 are working fine. Setting the SP sites as Trusted location in IE and Clearing IE Cache did not help. Adding the SP site in Word Trusted Location did
not help. Any suggestions how this can be resolved is appreciated. Thanks.

According to your post, my understanding is that you could not save office file back to the SharePoint Document library.
It may have to something with your Word Settings. When you click new and it opens in MS Word, word treats it as unsafe because perhaps it is not saved. To make it work:
Go to Word (2013) -> File Menu -> Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings
-> Protected View Tab -> Uncheck "Enable Protected View for files located in potentially unsafe locations" (2nd option)

If the issue persist, you can also check the event log and ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred.
To check event log, click the Start button and type “Event Viewer” in the Search box.

Content type change

Hi Experts,
I am trying the test the webservice scenario using Webservice Studio tool and getting the below error. I am using ABAP port(Used the default url while creating the wsdl file from ID).

Actually, the service works fine with the Javaport.
Where to change the content type to make it work with ABAP port?

BISM Content Type is not available

Hi All,
I'm trying to add BISM connection in Sharepoint site for PowerPivot report, however i'm not able to find the content type in Business Intelligence. I have enabled PowerPivot Integration Site Collection Feature as well and also in advance settings I have modified
the Allow Management Content types ="yes", however no luck.
Please can someone suggest how to proceed further.

Hi,
It must be visible when you go to add a new document within the data connections library.
Make sure that the "BICenter Data Connections Feature" is active. Go to Site Settings -> Site Actions -> Manage Site Features to activate this feature and try again.
