Upgrade 3.6.18 keeps trying to load but cannot-says "other" firefox is running

Every time I try to log on to Firefox 3.6 I am told that "the upgrade(?) cannot be download because another copy of Firefox is already running. What is this upgrade? How can I stop the error messages (I get two every time I try to log on)

Please check your network(internet/intranet connection) or network firewall settings through which you are connected. There might be some network firewall level policies blocking its request. Please try after changing network connection.

Based on your post it sounds like you would like to sync your iBooks content with your computer. I have located an article that may help you in this situation. While you can sync this data with your computer you can also use the sharing button to send PDFs using various sources:

I've purchased the upgrade to Adobe Photoshop CS6 - Trying to install, and it says the Adobe CS6 is valid - but only provides 'photoshop' options for entering my old serial number, rather than the adobe creative suite. How do I move past this so I can download it on my computer. I don't want to upgrade to Adobe Creative Suite 6 - as I do not need all the programs, just photoshop. From looking online, I read forums that said this was possible. Please advise

Unfortunately that option is not possible.
You cannot upgrade a Creative Suite to a standalone product.
Creative Suites can only be upgrades to other Creative Suites.
You'll need to return Photoshop CS6 upgrade since you cannot use it.
Return, cancel, or exchange an Adobe order
Some options:
Buy a Creative Suite upgrade, or
Buy a full new copy of Photoshop CS6, or
Join the Cloud

It keeps trying to update but then says that the program is running and can't update then goes into a loop with these two boxes.

I tried to Google a topic but when I clicked on the topic I wanted it posted a popup that said it had to update Firefox, followed immediately with a box that says it can't update firefox as it is running. These two boxes keep popping up as soon as you close the other one in one giant loop. I can only turn it off by shutting down the computer. I didn't have Firefox running when I tried to google the topic.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop

Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data if you uninstall and (re)install Firefox.

WRT54G wireless is trying to load but doesn't get anywhere!

I have a macbook and a WRT54G with the latest firmware (just updated) and my router just stopped working out of the blue. With airport on, it says I have full signal level and its logged into my account...when you attempt to load a page, it just keeps trying to load but it either doesn't get anywhere, or takes 10-15 minutes to load a little bit of the site (google). Hard connection from comcast modem works fine so I know it isn't my Internet connection.
I also have a hard line from the WRT54G to my DirectTV box, which I connected to my macbook and that doesn't work either, so I think I've eliminated a wireless only problem. Do these things just crap out sometimes or am I missing something? I tried with tech support and they couldn't seem to help.

When you Hardwired your computer to the Router are you able to Browse Internet on your Computer ? Since you have upgraded the firmware on your Router, have you Resetted your Router and Re-Configure all the settings on it back again. If not then Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

Firefox Keeps trying to load pages

Hi I have been having problems with my firefox! its ok for the first 5 mins but then every website i have open in my tabs keeps hanging and trying to load and is still trying to load after a few hours (I did time it to see if they did load up) the sites i use are Facebook, Google and youTube but they just keep trying to load! I have done everything from completly remove FF and delets my profiles on there so there is a brand new install from scratch and the problem still happens! I also clear all my cookies and cache but that doas not help! I have disabled all my plugins and add-ons! i have searched for other options but nothing keeps coming up! Everytime I reboot my PC and fireup FF again it works ok for the first 5 mins but then it happens again! All my other browsers with the exception of Chrome works perfectly fine! I have just made a new clean install of FF with a new Profile and i just reinstalled my bookmarks on to it but again it still keeps hanging and trying to load the webpages again! I am now at my wits end as I only ever use FF! so what more can I try? Many thanks! Phillip Dews

The Game Center keeps trying to load the new village on my iPad and not the other way around. It basically is trying to make my old village the new village, meaning I lose a lot of progress. How do make it combine the 2? If I cannot, is there a way to remove the new village off the Game Center and add the one I want to be saved? Thank you.

My phone keeps trying to load 2000 old emails (that have been deleted from my computer). How do I get it to stop?

Your profile says you have a PC so you may have to search the web to find out how to delete emails from the server using whatever email client you have (Outlook perhaps) and how to set it so that when you "delete" mail on your computer it deletes it from the server too. You may have to log into your email via your email provider's webmail system to delete these old messages from the server. Hard to say for sure.

Try closing the mail app completely and reboot your iPad. Assuming that you are running iOS 7 .....
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Mail app and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I FINALLY got it to work on BOTH iPhone 4 and iPpad 3. Here is what I had to do:
Had to DELETE all e-mail accounts including icloud.
Did a hard reset (hold down button on top right corner and round button on bottom center)
Then once it came back on, the iPhone had ALL of the accounts still on it and it was receivng e-mail.
The iPad receive e-mail until I did the steps above 5 times. Plus, I had to add back all of the e-mail accounts vs. on the iPhone 4 they were there when my phone came on.
Now I am receiving e-mail on both devices normally.
No clue why this happened, but Apple needs to find a fix ASAP.

Fire fox is not loading face book, the page is all off to the left and it just keeps trying to load, and there are no pictures

i have be trying to load facebook all day, but it just tries to load and the writing is all off to the left, and keeps trying to load. the face book login page is magnified and all wonky. i thought it may be a task bar , so i had the Zynga tool bar removed, but the problem still exist...

The only available, signed, iOS, for your iPod, is iOS 7.1. That's why you can't install iOS 6.1.6.
