Upgrade ipad 4 from 6.1.3 to 7.1.2 is it possible now?
Hi, I just try to restore my ipad 4 to 7.1.2 from 6.1.3 with Shift+Click Restore. It shows error 3194. Here what I did after search google.
1. Upgrade iTunes
2. Change 3 Computers with windows 7 32bit, 7 64bit and 8.1 64bit using every USB port and different cable.
3. Using the Lightning Cable from iPhone 5
4. Remove apple link from hosts file. Restart and Not restart.
5. Reset all content on my Ipad
6. Enter DFU mode and repeat 2,3,4
Also, I never jailbreak this devices.
None of them work. It still shows error 3194 and I just remember about Apple close signing IOS 7.1.2 from people who want to downgrade from IOS 8. Is this apply to upgrading? I don't want IOS 8 since it take about 800MB more. I try to use TinyUmbella and it not works. It help me get out from recovery mode only.
Can someone tell me how to upgrade it to 7.1.2 or it is impossible now?

First off, you can't have upgraded from 10.4.1, as that won't run on a MacBook. 10.4.4 is minimum. 10.4.10, and 10.4.11 are different from 10.4.1.
Secondly, it appears Reason 4.0.1 is needed for 10.6:

Problem upgrading iPad from iOS 4.2 to 4.3....
Before I start, I can confirm that I have successfully upgraded my iPhone4 from 4.2 to 4.3.
In regard to the iPad, when I click on the 'Check for update' button in my iTunes device summary page, it states that 4.2 is the 'Current Version', even though I know that iOS 4.3 is available. Therefore to try and force an update I selected the 'Restore' option in the same summary page and it prompts me if I am sure that I want to restore etc... which I confirm with the RESTORE, then I get an error message of _'There was a problem with downloading the software for the iPad "iPad". The requested resource was not found.'_
Anyone have any ideas how to get around this issue, or why iTunes is telling me that 4.2 is the latest version.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

Problema to upgrade iPad from 4.3.5 to 5.0.1
I tried several times to upgrade from 4.3.5 to 5.0.1 , but at the time finished download(732.1 mb) respond with the error that i have to check my network setting, i don't see any wrong with the net, any clue? But anyway according the document is not so critical to upgrade except for the battery life improvement

I upgraded IPad to IOS7.0.4 and Itunes to 11.1.3.8, now sync will not work
I upgraded all 5 of our IPad Minis to IOS 7.0.4 and the Ituens to 11.1.3.8 and now I am unable to sync any movies, TV Shows, or Music to any of the devices. Itunes says its updated and that they are synced, but when I try to go to them on the pad, there is only the ICloud version available for those I have purchased through ITunes.
I am not even able to "Share" My Itunes Library through the WiFi in the house. The only thing that is working is my AppleTV.
I have tried rebooting PC. I have rebooted IPad's. I have restarted ITunes. I have verified access and restrictions. Nothing works.
The only thing that I have not tried is resetting the Pads. But I will say if I have to reset 5 IPads, 2 IPhones, 3 IPods and 2 AppleTV's every time an update is issued, I can tell you, I will seriously consider moving to another platform. I moved to apple for the theory of simplicity, they are almost as bad as Microsoft at this point.
Does anyone have any ideas?Finally, here is what I will have to do with 4 more IPad's, 3 IPods and I am not even updating the phones.
I had to connect the Pad to ITunes and let it do its thing. Because of whatever the error is, it take upto 20 minutes for it to finally get all the steps completed. I then have to go into the Summary section and tell it under the IPad Mini Section (NOT the BACKUP section) and tell it to do a Restore. I then have to wait for it to take over 30 minutes for it to kill the current setup and reboot. Once it finally reboots I have to go into setup and tell it to setup as an already known Pad configuration. This helps, but then I have to wait another 20 minutes till however long for it to install the media that it shows as part of the install. The reason I say however long is because if I only had about 5 Gig of media on there at the time. If I had it anywhere near full it would take much longer.
Then, at that point I can finally make changes to the media.
I also verified something else. The only other thing that they all had in common was they were all trying to download a movie I recently purchased. It was fairly large so I wondered if size was an issue or if maybe it was corrupted. I deleted it from ITunes and the CPU. Still had the problem.
This is the third update from apple I have had to do this. It is getting very old. I left the MS platform for the same reason. I dont have the time to spend fixing crap that Apple "Genious'" get paid to supposedly fix.
I appreciate the sugestion on the Hard Boot Process. I will try that sooner next time, but I am a bit frustrated with Apple at this point. Its no wonder they are loosing market shares. -
Upgrade Bug from 3.0.1 to 4.0.1 - syntax not accepted now

I have just upgraded to Apex 4.0.1 (full installation from previous installed 3.0.1) in order to add the Ajax item functionality to my existing 3.0.1 app and getting the following really weird syntax error when I try to build an existing 'On Submit - Before Computations and Validations' process (get error just by clicking Apply Changes without making any modifications to it).
The error is flaggged for the line below (which constructs a report column title) and subsequent references where APEX 4 doesn't seem to build the &P11_PCT_DRIFT1. syntax which previously worked? Bit lost on this as none of the items have changed at all here it seems to have been caused purely by the upgrade. I also tried to Apply Changes in Mozilla as Apex 4 requires you upgrade IExplorer to 7 however both browsers show the same issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Also have an issue relating to forming an IN CLAUSE dynamically within an items LOV definition when using the new Cascading LOV Parent Item(s) functionality.
I dont really understand and cant find examples of how you reference the multiple values returned from a multiselect list parent within the IN CLAUSE of a child LOV definition or the syntax.
Wondered how would the following Child LOV definition look synctactically for both string values returned from the parent (maybe you have to insert quotes around each of the individual returned strings and replace colons with commas?) and also for numeric values returned from the parent?

I want to put the songs onto my niece's Ipad from my Itunes... but when i plug the ipad into the computer it says I need to select one of the following 'set up as new ipad' or 'resore from this back up :rachels iphone' .. but i dont want to erase anything, i just want to transfer some songs over????
You can't sync with more than one iTunes library. You will have to enable Manually Manage Music and videos in the iTunes settings and then you can drag and drop the songs onto her iPad. This also requires that you turn of auto syncing in iTunes.
Without connecting the iPad launch iTunes and from the menu go to Edit>Preferences>Devices>Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Check that box. Click OK.
Now connect the iPad to the computer and you will have to launch iTunes on your own. Click on the iPad name under the devices heading. If you are using iTunes 11 go to View>Show Sidebar from the iTunes menu and you should see her iPad under the devices heading. Go to the Summary Window on the righ and click on Manually Manage Music and Videos. Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.
Now you should be able to drag and drop songs onto her iPad.

Thanks - the backup to iCloud had not been turned on but fortunately it was backed up to iTunes and we restored from there.

I just upgraded my iPad from 4.3.3 to the newest - I think 6.1.3. I cannot find my photos and videos. I tried a restore, but after 3 hours, it's timing out. Pardon my ignorance on asking this question; but is there a way to find my photos? I do nto care about anythign else.
Here are the steps I though I took this morning:
Backup iPad
Connect to iTunes and downlaod newest version of iTunes and then newest iOS
restart Vista Laptop
upgrade to newest iOS
I knew somethign was wrong when it took about 6 hours to upgrade the iPad
at the end it errored with this message error (-50), but the upgrade worked
I was expecting to see all my photos but didn't see them
I have tried a restore to a back up 2 times. The first time took 3 hours and just sort of timed out - it kept saying that there was an hour to go
I tried it again 2 hours ago and same message.
They are very valuable to me and so now I am panicking

I want to upgrade iOS from 5 to 6, but when I go to synch everything in preparation, it tells me I will lose all my stuff on the iPhone and iPad which is/are unique. How can I backup or do a "real synch" (both sides have same data at end of process) and then upgrade?
You should really read the manual.

Restore. When given the choice, choose to use backup.
"And how can I check to see if the pics and videos are on my computer somewhere first??"
They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer. -

Since I upgraded my iPad from iOS5 to ios7 my iPad will only work on one network.
However in the top left hand corner is says no service with 3G next to it.

Kind RegardsI have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

Tried to upgrade my mini iPad from its original iOS 6 version to iOS 7. All nearly completed but I can't get past the "iCloud Terms & Conditions" & "Privacy Policy" page as prompting to "Agree" or even "Disagree" at the bottom of the page does not let the iPad progress (or even backtrack) to any other display!
I can actually see the GHOST PAGE titled "Find My iPad in iOS 7" concealed partially below the "Terms & Conditions" page.
