Upgraded from OS 10.4.11 to 10.5.8 - Now Logic 8 crashes upon launch

Howdy - I've just upgraded from OS 10.4.11 to 10.5.8, and several of my apps such as DSP Quattro, Sample Manager and Izotope RX are launching fine, but when I try to launch my Logic Pro 8.02 it crashes with the "+The application Logic Pro quit unexpectedly+" message.
My copy of Nuendo 4 is also now crashing upon launch in this same manner.
Any advice appreciated - I gotta work with these DAW's tomorrow! :^O

Sounds to be like you have an older version of Propellerheads "Rewire" installed... there are several applications that auto install rewire, it could have been melodyne or even Nuendo.
You either need to update Rewire to a Leopard compatible version or -Move- the Propellerheads folder out of ~Library/Application Support folder.
If you use rewire you will need to update.

Upgraded from 10.3.9 to 10.4.8 and now Logic wont open at all! Im using Logic 7.1 Everything was fine till I upgraded.... Now when I click to open Logic it never gets past the startupscreen, and then I get a message saying "Logic has unuexpectedly quit" and I get an option to either close it or restart it or report it to apple, whatever option I choose freezes Logic and I have to right click it in the dock to end the program because it is not responding. Any help is really appreciated! I have wirk I need to get done! (teaches me to upgrade in the middle of a project... what a rookie mistake!)

O.K. for starters, have you done the routine maintenance, repairing permissions, etc..?

I used "Migration Assistant" to send everything from my old mac to my new which included my copy of Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional. I tried downloading an update but when it asked me to find the version of acrobat to replace it was grayed out and I was unable to select it. My OS is 10.9.4

Logic 8 should have no problems in SL.
Use Software update to check if you've got the latest update for it (SU will only offer an update if it's not already installed).
Failing that, I'd start by uninstalling Logic and re-install from the DVD in case something got corrupted during the update.

I get a window that states I must press the power button until the computer shuts down and then restart. On reboot sends Panic Report to Apple with lots of USB error type stuff in it. WORKED FINE UNTIL I UPGRADED TO 10.6.8 TODAY.

Upgrade from CS4 to CS5.5. did not go smoothly, now stuck at CS5 - how do I fix the installation?

Hi There,
I had a lot of issues upgrading from CS4 (Adobe Application Manager crashing, installer not opnening etc) but managed to get the installer to run by using the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool to remove all traces of CS4.
However, when the installer finished, it stated there were errors and now the installers won't run - nor can I run updates from the CS apps that did install.
I've normally never had any issues upgrading, so am not sure why I had so many issues and the best way forward from here - Hoping I don't have to remove all the CS5 apps, use the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool again and start from the begining.
I'm trying to install Master Collection CS5.5 on Mac OS 10.7.2
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Have had to hang up as I was calling the US using a New Zealand Mobile while in Portugal (long story) - and the 11 minute wait time would've cost the same amount as the CS5.5 upgrade!
I had to call the US because:
The New Zealand support number listed on the Adobe site doesn't work
New Zealand is not listed as a country Adobe suppoprt will call back from the "Schedule a callback" page
What a joke.
I used the Adobe Support Adviser app to analyze the install error log and it provided me with a very helpful link to a support page that states "You can ignore this error and launch the products you were installing."
Unfortunately, nothing was installed.
I need to do work while a long way from home and can't use/install any CS5 apps - does anyone know how to install CS5 in Lion?

I just upgraded from LR3.3 to LR5 and now when printing on my Epson 2880 the image is printing only a portion of my image - not placing it properly on the page as it appears in the print preview. I have checked with Epson and they confirm all my page size specs and print preferences are correct - Epson says it's a software glitch. The image looks right on the screen in the print preview - yet places the image in a corner of the page when printing, cutting off half of it. Tried it both on 8.5x11 and on 13x19 with two images and had the same problem. I need this fixed ASAP thanks @Adobe @JaneSzaboPhoto

Yes, I have the paper set up properly as 13" x 19" (or 8.5 x 11 when trying more than one size) and even reviewed this over the phone with Epson. All setting are correct and it looks right on the print preview - but shifts the image to the top left of the page and shrinks the image and cuts off the top of the image.....no matter what paper size.

Upgrade from leopard to snow leopard (10.6.3). Now I haven't Iphoto, Imovie.

I bought the disk, on the Apple Store, to upgrade my macbook from leopard to snow leopard (10.6.3).
Using the 'software update' now I have the version 10.6.8 but I haven't Iphoto, Imovie, etc.(ilife)
With Leopard I had iphoto, imovie, etc.
Could you give me any assistance?

The "iLife" suite of apps isn't part of Mac OS X.
A normal upgrade install wouldn't have removed any previously installed apps so you must have erased the hard drive before installing Snow Leopard. That would have removed the iLife apps.
You can install them again from your previous iLife DVD.

I upgraded from 3.6.13 to Beta 4.0 and now Firefox will not open at all I tried to uninstall to start again but it will not uninstall either it does nothing.

The fact it will not uninstall appears to be something completely new as nobody I know who uses Firefox has ever encountered this in the past.

Did you check your security software (firewall)?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

Got a question. I have been using a PPC IMAC G5 1.8 with OS 10.3.9 and Logic 7.0.1 and a Presonus Fire Pod for quite sometime now and have had awsome, stable results! Now the time has come to upgrade. I want to upgrade to OS 10.4.6. (then maybe to 10.4.8) Will Logic 7.0.1 run correctly? DO I need to upgrade Logic also to 7.2??
I would love to leave things as they are but I want to add another Presonus FirePod to the chain. Giving me two Firepods chained together for 16 analog inputs. I'm getting ready for a larger recording project and need the additional inputs. Presonus states that in order to daisy chain two Firepods together it needs an OS of a min of OS 10.4.2
Any help would be appreciated.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
* "Clear the Cache": Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Upgrade from iPhone 4 to 5s (both 16G) 'other' file now exceeds capacity

When I traded in my iPhone 4 in for the 5s (both 16G), I went from having about 40% open space to not being able to fit in my 700 iTunes library on the 5s. Nothing was added but the 'other' indicator is now way bigger and filling up most of the capacity. Can anyone help with what I need to do to clean that out?

Upgraded from 10.3.9 to 10.4.7 and now need "updated" iDVD to make movie?!

Story is- imported my clips (on top of which they were muxed and had to be converted! Darn Sony!), edited them and decided to do without iDVD chapers and go straight to "Create iDVD Project".
Won't work- message reads "Compatible version of iDVD required. This feature requires iDVD versions 3.0 or later. Please blah, blah, blah."
Now- last I checked you got both iMovie AND iDVD in the same package and I am not sure why my Tiger upgrade has left me up the creek without a paddle.
iMovie pans out to be version 4.0.1 and lo and behold there is NO application iDVD at all on my poor bemused G4 PB!!!!
What did I do wrong (if anything) and what do I need to do right to fix this?

Sorry it took a couple of days to get back here. Life is a bit hectic. Erm- thanks for that! I have not yet made a iDVD move so will bear what you say about the extra and unneccessary rendering in mind.
I never got the iLife CDs (PB is pre-iLife CDs) so will search on the install CDs. Seems mightily daft to me... Question- seeing as I got Panther with the Powerbook (specifically OS10.3.5) and then bought a single upgrade CD for Tiger which I only just installed (and which is the reason why this is happening I think) what is going on? Did the Tiger install sort of "remove" my earlier version of iDVD?
OK- on the Sony- it is a still camera's short footage which shows up as muxed. So it is not a DV import but a QT .MPEG file which was dragged off the memory stick. Not to worry- I found MPEG Streamclip to be an ace bit of kit and so simple to use.
Thank you SO much for your help. I can happily make my films once more!

It seems Tiger lost my Mail files. I restored from backup, then started Mail again. It imported in less than 1 minute, then started up normally.
