Upload/download of user settings?

Hi all,
currently I am working for a client with access to dozens of systems.
For each and every system, I have to
- configure my favorites - OK, Up-/Download to text file is possible
change my user settings:
- Extras-Settings: No background picture, display technical names (of transaction)
configure my workbench environment
SE80->utilities->settings
- Common: Unmark Mime repository, tag browser, test repository or whatever never-used is flagged
- ABAP editorFrontend editor new, pretty printer upper/lowercase conversion, keyword upper, debugging use classic debugger, session breakpints active immediately, patterns name actual = formal parameter, generate CALL FUNCTION with Try..endtry for class-based exceptions, same (but different) for classes, use functional notation, class builder also show inherited components, group by interfaces and upper class; Repository info system 'all selection criteria', data browser use grid display, use conversion exit
And some or many more.
Is there any central space for storing all these settings, can I upload/download them?

Sorry to say that: You won't loose your face admitting that this functionality is mising now and will be missing in the foreseeable future.
If the functionality you mention exists, then you should feel encouraged to create a blog with some screenshots, menu path etx so that all SDN members can share the valuable knowledge.

Safari can't download or upload in one user,ok in the other

See if any one can solve this. Safari won't upload or download files in ome user, but uploads/downloads the same files fine in the other user! I tried making sure the problem user was the only login after a restart but that doesn't help.
To be more clesar, I logged one user and went to macromedia flash to download flashplayer, message in the downloads window says "safari cannot create the file" with a red circle that has a circular arrow inside it.
Log in the other user, go to the same site and the file downloads perfectly.
I did this several times at several different sites with always the asame result

It sounds like you are trying to download to a folder that you do not have permission to write files to. Try changing the default download folder to something else, such as your Desktop folder, to see if that helps.
As to your uploading problem, can you give us some more information such as example sites you are trying to upload to, any error messages you get etc?

MySAP PLM + java 7 rev67 + OSX 10.9.5 : problem upload/Download

I'm user from MySAP PLM on Safari or Firefox on Mac with OS 10.9.5 (Mavericks). Last Java version.
I have to upload/download files but the window to choose direction doesn't appears.
When I click on upload or download button, the window opens. But after, when I click on the button "Select files" nothing appears (see file attached).
My first question is : is it possible to upload/download somethings from a Mac ? (from a PC, it works).
Second : if yes, what settings should I set up ?

Is there a way to upload/download photos anonymously?

Is there a way to anonymously upload/download photos to the web without any sort of identification?
For example, if I'm using something like TOR to browse, and I find an icon on a site or Google Images that I want to use as my avatar for a social networking site, can I "Save As" from my TOR browser and download that image anonymously to my computer's desktop? Or does my information leak when I save to my computer?
...and then, in turn and perhaps more importantly, how do I upload that photo as my social network photo/avatar without any sort of identifying source tag or whatever from my computer?
When I attempt to upload a photo to the site, it keeps showing something like /Users/[iMacUserName]/Desktop
Is there any way to do this anonymously?
Would having something like a VPN be more useful than TOR in this situation?
I'm new to all this, so I'd really appreciate any information possible. If it makes more sense to send an IM or private email, please feel free to contact me that way as well.
Any recommendations for a great VPN to use with mac would be great too.

The image isn't anything dirty, nor is it necessarily copyrighted... I mean, it's a photo still from a movie I like that I wanted to use as my avatar photo. So I suppose technically it's copyrighted, but I'm not trying to pass it off as really being me, or mine. I see people using that kind of thing for avs all the time.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm not worried about the image I'm using, I'm worried about other users on the site being able to somehow find out that the image was uploaded from my computer (IP address, location, etc)
Like, could the admins at a social networking site see that the image was uploaded from my computer?
When I prompt the "upload" it only gives me the option to directly upload it from my computer, and as I said in my OP, it comes up with my iMac computer ID or whatever as the source of the file. (In the upload bar). Once I upload it, I think this information disappears, as I've tried to inspect other users avatars and it says owner info is private... but can the admins see WHERE the photo was uploaded from?
Does something like TOR block this? Or do I need something else? I tried to do some research on it and found another user asking a similar question and someone responded saying they needed to tunnel it or something?
Again, I'm not asking this b/c I'm trying to upload some inapropriate photo, but because this site is very strict about multiple accounts, and I have another account there that I'm not ready to delete yet. I just want to have a second, 100% anonymous account. (and feel I should also put it out there that it's not to do anything illegal or harmful to anyone either) just for me.

Actually what I am trying to achieve is the two things.
1) By using only the user's name, need to upload/download from/to the document library of SharePoint online site using the CSOM. (i.e., achieving Single Sign On / Windows Authentication)
2) I need to achieve the above only by passing the document URL; not by hardcording/ configuring the document library name in the windows application.
Can anyone pls help on this now?

Unable to upload/download large html files(71 MB) into rooms

Hi,
I am unable to upload download HTML file(71 MB)into folders of collabration rooms.if it is uploaded also its getting Scripted/corrupted.
other files are working properly.
Is it because of large size or any other configuration settings.there is no error msg buts its getting scripted.

the note also says: "This restriction is no longer valid".
With SP19 I do run tests continously that test content up to 2GB.
Amit: What portal version are you running? What repository implementation is the file stored in? If the file is stored in a file system, what is it's file size limitation?

File upload, download using ADF UIX and not JSP

I have examples for the file upload, download using JSP
But I want to use ADF UIX. Look and feel in this is impressing and I want to use this. Any one have example for this.
Users will select a file from their desktop
This will be stored into the database (Any document. Word, Excel)
When they query the records then the UIX column need to give a hyperlink. Clicking on the link should prompt to download the file to the local system

I am new to portal development and am working on oracle portal 9i rel2 . I need to know how to put the file upload and download functionality in any page. the functionality given in oracle portal user guide is not user friendly (i.e in the content area add item of type file" ) .... i need to now is their any way to achieve the simple , one button click upload download functionality ..like we do in yahoo mails etc.

Well, I do not know the exact location of the document, however you can find the document to do this in modplsql User Guide ..(File Upload/Download).

Upgrading from Office 2007 to Office 2013. We may need to save the user settings on the client computer, because we are moving some of the systems from 32-bit to 64-bit. How can we export the settings to a folder?

Could you please tell us what is included in user setting? Such as the customized Quick Access Toolbar settings, customize ribbon settings, or profile in Outlook?
Generally, we can’t upgrade operating system from 32-bit to 64-bit directly, we need to reinstall 64-bit operating system.
Office 2007 don’t provide the Import/Export button like Office 2010/Office 2013, we can’t export QAT setting and customize ribbon setting directly.
To customize an installation of Office 2013, you can use the Office Customization Tool (OCT) to perform tasks such as the following:
Specifying installation options
Customizing how Office applications and features are installed
Configuring default user settings
Managing additional content: add or remove files, registry entries or shortcuts
Configuring Outlook options: setting the default profile, adding email accounts, and specifying Exchange settings

User settings reset and locked out of user folders ! How do I retreive?

Hi everyone,
I'm sure a number of people here on the forums have come across the problem with the blue tint that appears every now and then. It usually appears when connecting an external monitor after the you come back from the screen saver.
Yesterday it happened for the first time without an external monitor connected. I have found a number of sites that have suggested using the command 'sudo chmod 664 *' within the Terminal. I have used it a couple of times to fix this problem but it did not work hence the reason it happened yesterday without a monitor connected. When I did use this command previously I first entered
cd /library/colorsync/profiles/display
When i did it for this occassion i forgot to enter the display folder first.
After this I did a restart and all my user settings were reset and I was locked out of all my user folders. I lost all my desktop settings and everything was back to when I first started my computer.
I did some hunting and found the command 'sudo chmod 777'. I tried this then did a reset and my desktop background returned and the folders were unlocked.
What I want to know is if this is the correct command to bring everything back to normal?
My user permissions in terminal are listed below

No necessarily, it depends whether you just changed your home folders and nothing else.
But just your home folders present a problems as they should have extended attributes which are now removed. More on that later.
Using one chmod to a directory affects all equally, though the files may have individually different permissions.
I don't know how extensively you have altered the modes permissions, but from what you have shown in your first post your Home folders are incorrect.
For your home folder, which is the default location when you start Terminal, and I dont think you have strayed from there, all the listings, except Parallels are folders, prefaced with the letter d. for folder.
On my machine, for example, the pattern for the home folders all show
drwx------@ 5 xxxxxx staff 170 25 Jun 06:07 Desktop
normally that would be chmod 700 Desktop which will get you
drwx------
but note the @ which shows an extended attribute or ACL in Leopard.
to write the ACL shown as @
You will need to read
man chmod about ACL MANIPULATION OPTIONS
Personally, I think that playing around with chmod without a backup was not a good idea, and I wonder if your ambition has exceeded your knowledge. Sorry if that sounds tough, but a possible Archive and Install may be your safest path I think because what you have messed with was no small oops with a simple fix.
You could just change those home folders to chmod 700 and see how it goes without the attribute, or bite the bullet and do an Archive and Install.
I do not run parallels and so have no idea what is permissions should be.

Forms 11g WebUtil upload/download

I've been working on writing an upload/download button in Forms 11g using WebUtil and doing the configurations on the server and such and I was told by someone in my office that this project originally started in Forms 10g with WebUtil with her but that she discovered that to get WebUtil to work we would have to have jInitiator installed on the client side computers. Does anyone know is this still the case in 11g as well?

I have been following the "Configuring WebUtil" and "Runtime Setup Checklist" help documents that were in Forms 11g Help section. I am trying to use the Upload and Download features. client_to_db and db_to_client. And also the open_file_dialog.
I did just notice where in the Configuring WebUtil document it says that WebUtil will install to the client computer anything that is needed for it to run, but I'm not sure that with the security settings on the computers that our clients will be using would allow something like that, I'm pretty sure the servers probably do not have admin rights to the client computers, most of the clients don't even have admin rights to their own computers.

How to upload/download scanned documents.

I want to upload and download scanned documents and other documents like .jpeg, .doc etc corresponding to particular track number.
Here i'm handling some license related details through module pool, so corresponding to each license number user needs to upload/download/view related documents.

Go to t-code SE78 and click on F5 button on keyboard and upload the image from your desktop or any other folder, giving appropriate name to the graphic and check radio button ' color bitmap image' for colured docs.
This way graphics are loaded into SAP system.

SRM user settings deletion (like in program SAPBBPAT05)

Hello experts!
I'm currently working on a user upload program
In this program I update some user settings which are available in the web interface via the "Settings" link in the header of the page
I already found how to add new attributes (thanks to the function module BBP_CHANGE_ATTRIBUTES)
But I didn't managed yet to remove some attributes.
Does one of you know how to delete a line from user settings by using ABAP code?
