Upload folders

Please, there is a way to upload folders with all inside contents to Creative Cloud? It seems that I cannot and I cannot believe that. I am doing some mistake?

in relation to folders - why can you not drag and drop uploaded files into folders in the cloud? I have uploaded 4 files, then I created a folder, tried to drop the files into the folder and then nothing. Seems a bit stupid that you have to create a folder first. What if you want to move items around?
Also I would like to share a folder and all of it's contents with a client. Does it not make more sense to allow sharing of folders - rather than each individual file?
If you want to share a single file, then all you do is create a folder. If you want to share multiple files, create a folder. In both situations - share the folder.
If you wanted a more complex level you could tag files in a folder for sharing/ not sharing, but if you sorted out the first issue (folder drag and drop) then you would not need this option. You could just drag files out of a folder that you do not wish to share.
You could get around the main post problem then by a simple upload zip file (or compression of your choice), which uses the zip structure to create the folder structure and files. This would also speed up uploads if it zipped a folder on the fly. You would then just click browse for file, when you click a folder, it knows to zip the structure and the content locally, then uploads the compressed file, upacks on the cloud and auto generates the same structure.
Not that difficult to do.

  • Uploading folders is not supported...

I'm trying to drag files to my cloud storage and I'm getting the message, Uploading folders is not supported. Create a folder first, then drag your files into it.
I'm not attempting to upload a folder (or a Mac OS Package), the files I'm trying are just plain TIFFs. I have successfully uploaded several files but suddenly it has stopped working.
Are there restrictions on the type of file we can upload?
Is there a way to browse to the file and upload, rather than dragging?
    Cheers,
    K.

    Hi Kevin,
Does it make any difference if you attempt the process with a single file? I was wondering if it might might be related to the number of files?
What browser are you working with? Do you get the same result with different browsers?

  • Hi I just need to know how I can upload folders of photos to icloud and send a link to clients as in Mobile Me, I'm a professional photographer so it needs to be as good as the mobile me. I've been looking at alternatives but need to be able to send links

Hi I just need to know how to upload folders of images to iCloud and send links to clients from my iphone when on location as was simple with MobileMe. I'm a professional photographer so it needs to be as easy as it was under Mobile Me. I've looked at several alternatives but they don't seem to give the same facilities of uploading folders from the Mac then sending the link from the iphone. It seems that the iCloud does n't offer this facility so any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Welcome to the Apple community.
If you are doing this from your phone (as you mention) then you can use the new iPhoto Photo Journal feature to do this.
Unfortunately, iCloud does not offer equivalents to Mobile Me’s iDisk, Gallery or Web Hosting services. You will need to find a third party solution to replace these services. You might consider DropBox, SugarSync, MediaFire or any other service that offers online storage.

  • Can I upload FOLDERS into iCloud or only individual files?

  • BT Digital Vault - upload folders

Hi, I have the free/basic version of BT Digital Vault (5gb).
I'm trying up to upload entire folders (with files in) to the Digital Vault.  The online help says you can do this by clicking on 'upload' then using the Java option.  It also says if you can't see the Java option then you need to install the latest version of Java.
I've installed Java and Adobe Flash - the Java website confirms / verifies everything is installed and working.  However, when I try to upload files in Digital Vault there's still no option for uploading folders.
I phoned the technical helpdesk and they said it's because I don't have Java installed (which I know is incorrect).  They then showed me by remotely controlling my PC how to upload files - however, they couldn't show me how to upload entire folders.  I explained I have Java, etc, installed to which I got no real explaination.
Does anyone know how you can upload entire folders with files within?  I know I can't use the 'auto back up' function as I don't have the paid for subscription.  Maybe the option for uploading entire folders with the free option isn't available, but the help certainly doesn't state that and the helpdesk don't know that either.
    Anyone any ideas?
    Thanks.
    Craig

    Hi CAG,
There's a change the Java plug-in you installed isn't correct for your browser, but by the sound of it you've already checked this? What browser as you using?
All you should need to do is click on the 'Browse' button and select the files or folders you want to upload, or are you using a different route?
Oh, and welcome to the forum

  • Uploading Folders rather than Files?

Is there a way to upload folders with numerous documents in
them rather than just one file at a time?

    Hello Serious Softball,
    Thanks for your post.
You are not able to select a folder to upload, when you
upload in your My Files area. However, you are able to go into that
    folder and select the contents.
The uploader will allow you to select multiple files to
    upload at a time.
You can do that by shift+clicking to select multiple files,
or dragging a "selection box" to highlight multiple files.
Thank you for your folder suggestion, I'll pass it on!
    Cheers,
    Pete

  • Business catalyst upload folders

    Hi,
I have my website design in muse and I am using filezilla to upload to site right now. I am in the process of updating the site with new e-commerce and all into BC. I have a folder  not too big 67mb with lots of sub folders and files that I want to upload into BC. Looking at file manager into the console I cannot find a way to upload this folder with all its content in one step.
Does anyone have any idea how to upload a folder and all its content into BC with min effort?
    thanks all

    Hi,
The current site is still in trial I just moved it to a higher plan for you to test.  In order to use an actual live payment gateway you must upgrade the site from trial to a purchased "webCommerce" plan.
I believe there may be some confusion on the type of site plan you get along with your CC subscription.  Please note the 5 entitled site will come under the "webBasic" plan and for higher plans you'll need to purchase additionally.

  • How do I upload folders to new Photo Library?

i have 13,000 pictures in 600 folders on my PC and I want to convert them all to the new photo library in iCloud.  The Icloud browser app won't allow me to select folders to upload.  I have to open each folder and upload individual photos.  Then I will have to create albums and put all the photso in the albums?  This will take forever.

I'm having the same problem as Keithj999.
Your solution is not viable, as it only pertains to Mac computers, and this is the PC thread.
The problem: We have a PC computer.  We have a lot of photos on the computer which need to be uploaded into the iCloud library.  The only way this seems to be able to be done is via the iCloud website.  When going through the iCloud website to upload into the iCloud Library (NOT photostream, as my understanding is everything there deletes after 30 days..) from a PC computer, you can only select one photo at a time to be uploaded.  Having thousands of photos, this clearly is not a good solution to the problem..
The desired outcome to the problem: To get thousands of photos from a PC computer into the iCloud Library in an efficient manner.
The solution for the desired outcome:  ???
I've been looking for a few hours now on how this might be achievable, and I have yet to find a solution.

  • Locked drives and upload folders

I'm having a problem that seems to be something simple, but maybe I'm overlooking...
I bought a 320 gb external USB drive a few months ago. The disk Utility was unable to see the drive to initialize it. So I just initialized on my PC. The Mac could 'see' the drive and read from it, but it doesn't give me 'write' permission.
I just kept it as a drive for the PC.
The problem is worse with my online server. From Finder, I use *Go->Connect to Server*. I'm able to view all the folders therein, but am still locked out to write. I can't copy files to the upload server, and the window has a tiny 'locked' icon in the corner.
    Am I forgetting something?

The two problems are actually unrelated.
On the external drive... You probably formatted it as NTFS. You cannot write to an NTFS fromatted drive. You need to format it as HFS, HFS+, or FAT32... additionally you might be able to read it if it is formatted with ZFS or ext3 or ext2 but im unsure as ive never tried. Try formatting it on the PC as FAT32, then plug it in to the mac and reformat it as HFS+. Unless of course you need to be abale to plug this same drive into the pc... in that case keep it FAT32.
As far as your web server... You cant write to FTP through the finder - you can only read. Youll need to use an ftp client, like fetch, transmit, or the commandline client in terminal. Unless your webserver has DAV enabled... then you would mount it over HTTP and be able to write to it.

  • How can you upload folders into Photos?

I am missing a critical feature: being able to upload pictures and corresponding folders into Photos. I have a vast number of pictures organized in folders. when importing these pictures, the folders and folder names disappear and pictures get randomly sorted as many of the older pictures have no geo tagging or time stamp.
in the past this was no problem as iPhoto as well as folder synchronization between OS X and I OS allowed to import folders.
this feature must be reintroduced, if not years of organizing thousands of pictures have been in vain. Or has anybody found a workaround?

You can't import folders into Photos.
Import a folders worth at a time and use Last import to create a new album from them.

    Dearbhla Bradley

The exception is pretty clear. for some reason the script is not able to open the folder TestFolder1 on the local hard drive.
I noticed in the script you have specified the $Folder variable to be "C:\Users\user\Documents\SharepointTestFolder" while the exception is for "C:\FilePath\TestFolder\TestFolder1"
Will you please help me understand this difference?
Also, sorry I'm not familiar with the "recurse" calling method. I'm suspecting you're telling it to call the ImportFiles() function again, though if this is the case it looks to me that it's reusing the same $Folder variable that was defined at the start,
rather than using the folder object you have just identified.

  • HT201317 My photos are not uploading manually from my desktop to my photo stream folders on my iphone ... How do I fix this ?

Can anyone walk me thru how to fix or get the photos in my uploads folders for icloud to push out to my iphone?

You currently have 2 separate accounts - Apple doesn't allow you to alter the IDs or merge them currently.  If you share purchased music with your family then multiple accounts may make sense.  You can have a separate ID for yourself that is associated with your devices.  Then you have the "family account" that you make purchases on.  In your specific case the @me.com ID would be your account and the @hotmail.com would be the iTunes "family account".  The only thing you need to do is to sign into iTunes on your iphone with the @hotmail.com ID.  Future purchases will then be linked to your family account and will be transfered to your Dell when you sync.  If you purchased free apps on your iPhone under the other account, I would simply delete them and redownload under the @hotmail.com ID.  If you made signifcant purchases under the new account, then you can open iTunes on your Dell, sign in with the @me.com account, and authorize that computer.  The new purchases will transfer to the Dell, but it makes your iTunes library a little messier...especially when you start buying new computers.
Option 2 is to restore the iPhone and set it up with the old @hotmail account.  This is useful if you do not have a family and don't need the hassle of 2 IDs.  I don't know what will happen when you try to set up the phone with a new ID however, since the sim card is already associated with an account.  I would visit an Apple store or Verizon to do this so you don't run into any problems activating the phone.
My final caveat is I have not started using iCloud yet so I don't know all the ramifications of having multiple IDs.  I'm sure you can search the forums some more to dig up those answers.  Good Luck.

  • How do I upload or drag and drop folders into my website folder content?

Am I limited to uploading or dragging and dropping only files? I have folder content I want to place in these folders in mmy Creative Cloud Accounts websites?

Thank you Manish-Sharma for offering help. I have way too many individual files to upload singly. It would only be opportune to upload the individual folders. Until Adobe creates such to upload folders, there is no reason to upload any content so I will not be able to benefit from displaying any content. I just do not have the time to upload by this means. So, it is a feature that makes no worthwhile availability in Adobe Creative Cloud to me. This really needs attention by Adobe otherwise it is a major point to not continue using Adobe Creative Cloud. It makes no sense to lack the ability.  John
