Re-install procedure for Premiere Pro CS 5.5
My instalation of Win7 Premiere Pro CS 5.5 is corrupted and I have lost the ability to handle HD files/projects. I can still process SD projects. I have also lost the ability to capture HD video over Firewire (no video, only sound) and I can't work with my earlier completed HD projects. I can't export work areas.
I don't know how to resolve this problem. I have tried rolling back Windows without success. Any suggestions?
I think I need to reinstall Premiere Pro CS5.5
Is there a detailed procedure for the efficient removal and reinstalation.of Premiere Pro using my CS5.5 CDs.
RogerIf you are going to re-Install Premiere on the SAME computer, would it not be better to suspend activation to avoid using an activation "life"?
Indeed a post in this thread
http://forums.adobe.com/message/3650498
by an Adobe staff member who was involved in setting up the activation system, states that if you are re-installing on the same computer, there is no need to de-activate , and no "life" will be used up.
Hunt thinks that we have 8 lives, I am sure I was once told by Adobe support that we have 20. -

Installing: hotkeys for Select Packages, Install Packages,
Hi everyone.
Ive been trying to install arch but because I dont know what keys to press to select something I am stuck at stupid places.
So I was wondering if someone could tell me the proper keys (and If its allowed Im thinking about adding them to the "Beginners Guide", because I really think they are needed there).
The first time I got stuck was when I was supposed to "select packages". What key(s) are to be pressed to select it?
I asume its the same keys as for window after that one. If not so, could someone write those aswell.
Later I found a problem with "nano" where I didnt know how to select, and stuff like that.
I got some help with how to save and exit. Also I never got that ^ meant control before they said so.
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=55023
ctrl+o save
ctrl+x exits
ctrl is what the ^ means on the bottom menu.
I tried searching for it and read in the manual. But I guess its to "basic" to be in it.
Does anyone see a problem with me adding an explanation for:
^ = ctrl
and what key to press to select something when selecting packages
to the "Beginners Guide"?I assume you use space for selecting categories and packages, at least it's the normal thing to assume (maybe as normal as ^ meaning ctrl), it has been some time that I installed Arch.
If you feel putting these things in the Beginner's Guide would be a good thing, just go ahead. That's why it's a wiki. -
Multiple view state best practice for IOS packaged app - Tabbed view or blank template?
TabbedViewNavigatorApplication or plain Application?
I have an iPad app that has a fairly complex main view. Has lots of view state changes. Before a user can get to that main view, however, they have to go through two other screens:
1. Authentication
2. Fill out and submit a small form (maybe 6 fields)
If they do those two things right, they can move on to the main view. If they don't, they can't move on and the main view shouldn't load.
Don't want a tab bar showing in the main view. Has to be full screen.
My thoughts were:
1. Start with the tabbed view template because it's built for this. Just figure out a way to hide bars top and bottom for main view.
2. Use a blank template and do everything with standarf Flex view states
Not sure...Or you can go with door #3, a blank template with a ViewNavigator you use to push and pop your views from the Main.
View states are heavy. Avoid them like the plague in mobile apps. They are ok for small things like buttons and such, but that's about it. -

Device packages for LMS 3.2
Hello,
Can someone point me in the right direction to download device packages for LMS 3.2 for Solaris.
Thanks,
Tim
GSPHi Tim
Are you referring for device packages for RME ? If so which version of RME do you have ? You can downlaod device packages from CCO using this URL:
http://tools.cisco.com/support/downloads/go/ImageList.x?relVer=4.3.1&mdfid=282635175&sftType=CiscoWorks+Resource+Manager+Essentials+Device+Package+Updates&optPlat=&nodecount=2&edesignator=null&modelName=CiscoWorks+Resource+Manager+Essentials+4.3&treeMdfId=268439477&treeName=Network+Management&modifmdfid=&imname=&hybrid=Y&imst=N&lr=Y
Hope this helps.. All the best..

What is the process to obtain device packages if they are currently not installed (CS -> Device Update -> CiscoView)?
CiscoWorks Common Services
3.1.0
Licensed
CiscoView
6.1.6
Licensed
LMS Portal
1.0.0
LicensedSince you are on LMS 3.0 we should get you to LMS 3.2.
https://cisco.mediuscorp.com/market/networkers/homeWork.se.work
The license for 3.0 will work for 3.2 as well.
Then install the latest service pack LMS 3.2.1.
Release March 26th 2011
Windows:
http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=282635181&flowid=16561&softwareid=280775102&os=Windows&release=3.2.1&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest
Solaris:
http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=282635181&flowid=16561&softwareid=280775102&os=Solaris&release=3.2.1&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest
Once you are on LMS 3.2.1 you can use Software Center in LMS to see if you need any device packages for any of the application in the LMS bundle.
Ciscoview is one application you can check for device package updates, however make sure you update to LMS 3.2.1 first and then focus on the device packages for each app. -
RME 4.3.1 & Nexus 7000 device package
I am have 27 devices that RME reports as "Out-of-Sync", among those some are Nexus 7K devices, with the sysObjectId .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.612, which according to the "Supported Device Table for LMS 3.2" is supported in RME 4.3.1.
Searching for device package with that sysObjectId I get no result in Common Services. However, when performing a "Device Update" with my CCO account, Ciscoworks tells me that "All the available package(s) at source location are already installed."
What do I have to do to get that device package?Hi,
To check / download the latest RME Device Package for Nexus 7k support, please do the following :
1. Go to Common Services -> Software Centre -> Device Update and click on the hyperlink for 'CiscoWorls Common Services'
* You should see 2 packages listed - Device Data and MDF.
* The latest versions of these are 1.10 and 1.48 respectively.
* If you don't have the lateset versions installed, please run an update to install these.
2. Once you have the most up to date packages for Common Services installed, go to Common Services -> Software Centre -> Device Update and click on the number in the 'Device Type Count' collumn for Resource Manager Essentials. Filter the list of devices by Package Name = Nexus.
* Do you see sysObjectId .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.612 displayed ?
* What version of the Nexus device package do you have installed ? (The latest version is 2.5)
3. Even if you have the latest Nexus package installed, run a device update for RME so that you loaded the latest versions of all packages (I see there were some new updates for shared packages eg LibCommon as recent as 21st January 2011.
In terms of the devices being reported as 'Out-of-sync' , this means that RME has detected that the running configuration and the startup configuration on the device are different. This could be because RME doesn't have the most recent copy of either config or it is a real situation of the startup and running config being out of sync on the device. If you go to the Out-of-Sync Summary page, select the Nexus 7k's and click on 'Sync on Device' RME will run a job to login to the devices and execute a copy run start.
* If your Nexus 7k's are still reported as 'Out-of-Sync' after the job completes then we'll need to investigate further.

Private procedures in a package
Can anybody give me the syntax for declaring a private procedure in a package
Hi,
did you know what is private procedure for any package.
The private procedure is that procedure you didn't specify in your package specification you can directly write in package body and call then with in any procedure with have declare in package specification.
I am giving you a very simple example:=
create or replace package p1 is
procedure pro1;
end p1;//package specification
create or replace package body p1 is //package body
procedure pro1 is
begin
dbms_output.put_line('test');
test_pro1;//private procedure call
end pro1;
procedure test_pro1 is
begin
dbms_output.put_line('private procedure');
end test_pro1;//private procedure
end p1;

Hi Guys,
I'm having some issues updating the device packages for my RME 4.3.1 install.
I've downloaded and tried to update the 'Cat3560.zip' package via the GUI, but the job fails with the above error.
