Upper left hand corner?

I just took my new imac 24 out of the box, and I noticed that there's something that looks like it could be a crack (rounded) or a camera/sensor of some kind in the upper left hand corner of the black portion of the display. I can't find anything - so is this a defect?

Sounds like it might be a defect, take it back tomorrow.

If you put it in a region on page zero, it will be inherited by all pages of the application.. Literally in the upper left corner? Even the login page? You could also modify the template page that your using from your theme, so that all pages would have this attribute, whichever you are more comfortable with..

My Firefox 4.0 does not look anything like the videos you show about the features of the new Firefox. My screen looks totally different than yours. It does not have the orange box in the upper left hand corner of the screen. My screen still looks like the old version. I have the logo on the top of my screen with Ask a Question a vertical line Firefox Help - Mozilla Firefox.
Under this line I have File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. Below this line is a tab with Ask a Question Firefox Help and a +. My husbands screen looks identical to the orange Firefox Box in the upper left of screen. I would like my screen to look identical to the ones shown in your videos. I get the same thing... no matter what site i try to pull a pdf for IE10, it gives me the black x... if i use chrome it works, but my client does not want to use a different browser.
I followed the guide that Pat posted... nothing worked... I have uninstalled and reinstalled Java, Adobe reader, Adobe flash,.. upgraded to IE11, then back to IE10 due to medical software that is not compatable with IE11...
The kicker is that my Admin profile works just fine.. no issues.. so i know it has something to do with his profile....

I can not open a received document. All I get is a blank page with a small x in the upper left hand corner of the page. When I click on the x I get a blank blue page. Can you help me with this problem.

Hi, you can go to youtube and as soon as the video starts to play, right click and then uncheck the hardware acceleration on the Display Setting. Also being recommended is to update your grapic and video drivers to the latest version.
This has helped other users experiencing this problem.

And if this is the new IOS Pages v2 (or the older IOS Pages 1.7.2), you click the wrench icon and then Document Setup. Tap the document header to edit it, and apply the same instructions that I gave previously for OS X Pages v5.
The process for Pages ’09 v4.3 is slightly different. You click the Header, and enter your document title and your name as previously described. You will need Menu > View > Show Ruler. Click once in the ruler at the first or second mark after the 7 inch (roughly 18cm). This will set a tab. Now position the insertion mark behind your title and tab once to the mark you set. Now you can Menu > Insert > Auto Page Numbers ...

You may have to try a general OS X troubleshooting process to see if the issue goes away by doing this...
Have you tried: starting the computer in SafeBoot mode, with shift key held down; a login screen should appear after a time, and then the regular desktop. At this point, locate Disk Utility in utilities folder, and run 'repair disk permissions' on the startup volume, usually the name given the hard disk drive as it appears on desktop. After Disk Utility is finished the permissions repair, restart the computer normally.

There is an iTunes area in Apple Support Community discussions for more topics like this; except for when they involve a hardware product where an OS X is involved. If your computer is NOT a powerPC (an 'intel'-mac) the topic would more naturally need to be posted where that hardware and later supported OS X version topics get seen. So that is why one asks 'on what Mac running what version...' instead of writing four paragraphs in a wide angle reply. The details about your iMac and the OS X say more; without them, more questions arise.

When you say you have Internet service, are you connected to wifi? Have you tried a reset on the phone? Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo, then release. The phone will reboot. After it starts, see what happens. Do you have a valid SIM in the phone, one that is activated through a carrier? Have you contacted the carrier to see what they say, since phone service is a carrier responsibility?

Try going to settings. Tap Reset, tap reset network connection, wait until the apple goes restart your iPad,. Back to setting tap provider and put in your network password.

Question Mark Upper Left Hand Corner

What does a big question mark mean in the upper left hand corner of finder window? Appears on all my finder windows. I click on it and it says "The Item Can't Be Found." Very odd. I think MacJack is thinking it is in the Finder window. However, do you mean it is on the toolbar of a Finder window? If so, haku64 has the right method of removing it. But, if it is a tool you want to repair, right-click on the Toolbar and select Customize Toolbar… Either drag back the standard toolbar, or replace the malfunctioning item with a new one. You can then just drag the ? one out of the toolbar.

Do you mean on a thumbnail in the organizer?That means that organizer has lost track of the original file. Usually that happens when you've done something with the photo outside of organizer, like moved it or deleted the original. If you want organizer to be able to keep track of your photos, you need to do all moving and deleting from within the organizer, not in Windows Explorer or the Mac Finder.
