Urgent help, the package can't be see

Hello, can anybody help me on this:
I put all the GUI for my application in a package called TextExtractor.ui, ui stands for user interface.
And I have another package called: TextExtractor.io
when I was trying to import the classes in the io package to the the main class in the ui package, after I typed import TextExtractor.oi.*;
there was always an error saying
"MainFrame.java": Error #: 300 : class io not found in class TextExtractor.ui.TextExtractor at line 8, column 22
I checked all the package names, and both packages are under the bigger package called TextExtarctor, so there should not be any class path problem.
Apparently, after I tried all other classes in the ui package, none of them can recognise other packages which in under the TextExtractor this bigger package, but they do recognise the java SDK packagees such as java.swing or java.awt ... So I was wondering what was going on???
Can somebody please give me a hand on this, I am dying to this annoy error.

In your post, you have a typo: "oi" instead of "io" in the import statement.
ps: java package names should be all lower case - it's a standard. Look for "java coding standards" on java.sun.com
pps: I always use some variant of my home email adress (eg: pmurray__bigpond_com) as my top-level package.
