URLStream - does not fire IOError on network cable unplugged while downloading!!!

Hi.
I a using the example from the URLStream Class documentation to download files from a web-server to my computer.
The problem is that I have unstable connection and sometimes the computer goes offline. Then the download progress stops and none of the error events is fired. Actually the download just get stucked and the apps remains idle. This happens on XP, Vista, and Ubuntu 8.x, but works perfectly on mac OSX where I receive right away an IOError event.
What should I do? Is there a bug in URLStream !!!
Can someone confirm this issue?

I have done exactly as you say, but it does not work for me.
You indicated " Navigate to the info tab and scroll down. There'll be a check box for 'sync over wifi' or something to that effect. Check that box and sync to affirm your choice."
I navigated to Summary tab (not Info Tab) and checked "Sync with this ipad over Wi-Fi"
I disconnect the wire,
and my iPad disappears from my iTunes screen.
in my iPad ->Settings -> General -> iTunes Wi-Fi Sync -> says " Sync will resume when (my PC) is available.
So, I can not sync via wi-fi

Hp6600 does NOT recognize my wireless network IN THE WIZARD

My hp6600 does not recognize my wireless network. It recognizes others in the area but not mine I have tried the network wizard several time and the online help but it's not working. I bought this machine especially so that I can print wirelessly. It would cost me $100 to have someone from Geek come in, that's ridiculous. i should be able to set up my own printer. I set up a hp8600 at home.

ON-LOGON does not fire in Form B, called from Form A

We have a situation like this. We are using Forms (Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production)).
We migrated this application to Forms 11.2.0.1.0. Problem is that the ON-LOGON trigger does not fire in the 2nd level forms. Our application work like this.
(a.) User double-clicks URL icon.
(b.) Form A is opened without asking for un/pwd. We put a NULL; in the ON-LOGON of A.fmb.
(c.) This is the main form of the application. This has a canvas with 6 buttons. Each button will launch it's own separate application with it's own menu.
(d.) Now user presses button in A. This launches Form B. We use
Run_Product(FORMS, 'B', SYNCHRONOUS, RUNTIME,FILESYSTEM, pl_id, NULL); (e.) Now, in Form B, in the ON-LOGON trigger we have put code to show the logon screen and login to the DB.
Problem is, this works in 10g Forms. But we had to replace the RUN_PRODUCT with a CALL_FORM after migrating to 11g since RUN_PRODUCT is not supported in 11g.
Problem is that when you use CALL_FORM to call Form B, the ON-LOGON of the Form B does not fire. We tried OPEN_FORM and NEW_FORM with different parameters, but the behavior is the same. i.e. ON-LOGON does not fire.
What is the solution or workaround for this please.

Equium M50 will not recognise the LAN port - error: Network Cable unplugged

I own a Toshiba Equium M50 and have problems with the Marvell Yukon 88E8036 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller.
I used to connect via an 'ADDON' Modem/ADSL Switch and had no problems. I then replaced the ADDON with a 'NETGEAR' DG834G ADSL Modem/Router to gain the wireless port, and since then my machine will not recognise the LAN port. <error: Network Cable unplugged>.
I know that the cables are OK as I used them with other laptops and had no trouble. I can also plug in a PCI card to connect without any problems. It looks to me as if the Marvell Yukon 88E8036 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller has a problem with the netgear Modem/Router.
Anyone out there with a similar experience and some advice/suggestions?

For me it doesnt show like a LAN card problem but your router is a problem.
Check the device manager if the LAN card was properly recognized. If there are no yellow exclamation marks so everything is ok!
You can try to delete the LAN card from the device manager and after new reboot install the LAN driver again.
The issue has stared after installing or connecting the new Netgear modem router.
Therefore I would recommend to checking firstly the settings or to update the firmware on this router.

When i press connectToStratusBTN i get ID after than i open another
browser window with the same swf and paste this ID into MY_peerIDText
After connection i press initSendStreamBTN in first swf (it is 1st browser page)

because you send not String, but link to the txtSendData.text, which is empty in another peer.
So, solution is following (not the one, but for example):

What method of internet do you have.. is this fibre install.. if so the TC should just plug in and use dhcp in router mode.. press and hold the reset and it will go back to router mode by default.

Reset does not fire NavigationEvent - is this intended behaviour?

I realized that the ViewObject.reset() method does not fire a NavigationEvent. I think that resetting a current row is some sort of navigation which has some effekt on dependent objects (eg. detail views will be cleared). So I'd have expected that reset() should file a NavigationEvent.
Can anyone explain me: Is this intended behaviour? Why?

Have you asked your mobile phone operator to turn on roaming for you? and if you have you will need to turn on DATA ROAMING on the iPhone by going to SETTINGS > GENERAL > MOBILE DATA and turn on DATA ROAMING. You should then be able to see the various Indian Networks listed in SETTINGS > CARRIER and be able to make/receive calls.
If you are in India and didn't ask for Roaming to be activated on your mobile account you're stuck until you return to the UK.
OR
If you have a 'locked' phone that is tied to the UK operator then you will need to find a phone shop that unlocks iPhones but beware this invalidates any Apple Warranty. If you are still in the UK then phone the mobile operator and ask then to unlock your iPhone which they usually do if its not in a contract with them or at the end of the contract period.

DidSelectRowAtIndexPath does not fire in SDK 3.0

Hi everyone!
I have iPhone application that works well in SDK 2.2.1 But in SDK 3.0 event didSelectRowAtIndexPath (as well as willSelectRowAtIndexPath) in MyTableViewController does not fire.
I've downloaded "TheElements" sample application and it works fine on 3.0. I figured out that there is a difference in UITableViewCell initialization. So I removed old initWithFrame method and created new one initWithStyle. But no luck. I put breakpoint inside didSelectRowAtIndexPath event but debugger does not stop there.
What other changes should I make to fire didSelectRowAtIndexPath event?
Any help will be appreciated.

I still think something about the responder chain must have changed in 3.0, but it seems like one or both of the above methods should still work. If neither of them gets the touches where they need to go, maybe nextResponder isn't the same as superview(?). In that case you might try this:

My Time Capsule's 5GHz network does not appear as a network any longer. Airport utility is 5.5.3 and iMAC is 10.7.1 The TC appears to be configured correctly in the utility screen.

Apple is not here. Even if they might rarely monitor these boards, they will not respond. We're all users, just like you.
Suggest that you open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utiltiies > AirPort Utility
Click Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab below the icons
Click the Wireless Options button
Check one more time to see if you still have the 5 GHz Name option enabled. If not, enter a check mark and click Update to save the new settings.
If 5 GHz is enabled, temporarily disable the setting and Update. Then go back in and enable the setting again.
If you still cannot "see" the network from any device, about all that you can do at this point is reset the Time Capsule back to factory defaults and try the configuration again to see if it will "take". Lion is causing some strange issues, and this may be another.
If this is not successful, then it's time to contact Apple support or arrange a visit to an Apple store to let them take a look

JComboBox does not fire Event

JCombobox does not fire any event which should be send when typing on the keyboard. (Keypressed, keyReleased, keyTyped, caret-operations)
Is there a known bug?
I am using Netbeans 3.6 RC1 with Java 1.4.2_04 under WindowsXP.
