  • Weblogic 9.1 Deployment errors using the ANT task wldeploy

    I am not able to deploy applicatons using the ANT task. The same works with Weblogic 8.1. It is throwing a NoClassDefFoundError. It is looking for a class by name javax/management/InvalidAttributeValueException.
    This class file is shipped as part of jmx.jar. I tried to include it and then there was another NoClassDefFoundError that occured.
    The problem is I don't want to keep adding these different jars to make the ant deployment work. Can anyone please let me know what could be the problem.
    I am using a Windows XP OS and 1.4.2_10 as java version.
    I have added all the jars in the weblogic91\server\lib directory to the classpath.
    Also I have my apache ant tasks set in the classpath.
    Thanks
    Shankar Chandrasekaran

    Have had a bit of these CLASSPATH issues when jumping versions.
    Have had the best success when I create a different profile for each one, making sure the version you want is the only one defined. the main thing my profile sets is
    unset PATH
    unset CLASSPATH
    unset JAVA_HOME
    then
    export PATH=
    export CLASSPATH= the weblogic 9 one
    export JAVA_HOME= the one with 9
    or however they do it in windows, but make sure you CLASSPATH is only refencing the 9 jars

  • Use of ANT

    Hi All,
    Could anyone please tell me the benefit of using the ANT tool.
    While programming in JAVA i don't remember using the make, jam etc,,
    Where do we actually use a build tool. And how is ANT useful relatively.
    If u could suggest any tutorial for a beginner like me that would be also great.
    Apreciate u'r help in advance,

    Hi,
    I am also new to ANT, and I have started using it.
    To get started the best resource is the ant manual available in jakarta site itself,
    "Apache Ant is a Java-based build tool".
    http://ant.apache.org/manual/index.html
    Right from introduction, to using ant, and it also gives some sample ant build files.
    Hope the link is useful, do post other useful ant links if you find any.

  • Setting UseXADataSourceInterface to false using wlconfig ant task

    Is there any way, I can set the UseXADataSourceInterface property to false within the wlconfig ant task.? I am aware that this property can be set using the admin console. But I would like to set this in an ant task. Any pointers?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jacob

    According to document:
    Warning: In particular, the wlconfig Ant task uses the deprecated BEA
    proprietary API weblogic.management.MBeanHome to access WebLogic MBeans, the
    same as it did in Version 8.1 of WebLogic Server. The Ant task does not use
    the standard JMX interface (javax.management.MBeanServerConnection) to
    discover MBeans.
    Warning: This means that the only MBeans that you can access using wlconfig
    are those listed under the Deprecated MBeans category in the WebLogic Server
    MBean Reference.
    Since UseXADataSourceInterface is defined in JDBCDriverParamsBean which is
    introduced in WLS 9.0, so I feel this should be impossible.
    Maybe you can try WLST, which also can be used in Ant.

  • How to Upload XSD into MDS by using WLST/ANT only

    Hi,
    Can anyone help me out how to upload an XSD into MDS using WLST/ANT only (Not JDEV)
    Please help me out its urgent
    Edited by: 943121 on Dec 28, 2012 8:11 AM

    If you are using AIA, then you will have MDS deployment scripts. Check this link for details - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23549_01/doc.1111/e17361/ch18.htm#BABGHIGG
    If not AIA, then you need to build custom ant scripts which will use the api "com.soamds.util.MdsImportTask" for mds deploy and "com.soamds.util.MdsDeleteTask" for mds undeploy.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi All,
    I found the issue. It was an issue with the port number. It was a clustered environment.
    Since it was a clustered environment the port was listening at 8020.

  • Unable to get parameter by using a controller in OAF

    Hi!
    I'm new using OAF and will appreciate your help a lot!!
    FYI:
    Basically I have to add 2 descriptive flexfields in a page (by creating a VO) and I have to update the table with the information registered on those dff (I've done all the logic already).
    I created a Controller (CO) which calls a method declared in an Application module (AM) that executes a store procedure (the CO and AM have been created by me and they extend a standard CO and AM).
    Problem:
    However, just before updating.. I'm having a problem because I'm unable to get a parameter by using paramContext.getParameter("reqHeaderId"); that will help me to identify which row I need to update.
    Since the instruction is not capturing the value, it returns null and I got the following error when I try to convert it to Number: oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: java.lang.NumberFormatException: null
    It's really important to mention that before getting to the page where I click the submit button that does the logic mentioned.. there are 2 pages before the one where I'm trying to capture the parameter and the parameter needed is set on the 1st page. I've been checking each standard CO of the 3 pages and they use the instruction pageContext.putParameter("reqHeaderId"); to pass it between the 3 pages (As far as I know, if not please correct me). On the 3rd and last standard CO it uses pageContext.getParameter("reqHeaderId"); to get the value and do some other logic.
    So why Im not getting the value if I do the same thing (pageContext.getParameter("reqHeaderId");) on my xxController (which extends the standard CO)?
    Here is the code of the controller:
    public class xxController extends standardController {
       public void processRequest(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean webBean)
        super.processRequest(pageContext, webBean);
       public void processFormRequest(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean webBean)
        super.processFormRequest(pageContext, webBean);
        String str;
        str = pageContext.getParameter("_FORM_SUBMIT_BUTTON");
           if ((str != null) && (str.equals("SubmitButton")))
               String ReqHeaderId = pageContext.getParameter("reqHeaderId");
              String ReqLineId = pageContext.getParameter("reqLindId");
            Serializable[] parameters1 =
             ReqHeaderId
             ,ReqLineId
            ,pageContext.getParameter("xxavtBienServicio")     //dff
            ,pageContext.getParameter("xxavtAttribute3")         //dff
            String var = (String)am.invokeMethod("updateAttributes", parameters1);    // updateAttributes is the method that converts ReqHeaderId to number and executes my store procedure
    thank you for your help in advance!

    You need to verify that the parameter is being added to the pageContext from the first page to the last. You can do this by downloading the pages and all the class files to your development environment and put them into the myClasses directory. Then once you get it so it can be run in JDeveloper, you can actually invoke the debugger and do a watch on the page context for that parameter. It is important to note that you may need to download more than just those specific pages depending upon the setups of the supporting pages. I generally find it easier to just download everything for a particular application to my classes directory so I am not forever trying to find missing class files. Even then if they call some utility classes, you will need to download them to the JDevelper on your PC into the classes directory.  But once you are able to run the pages in JDeveloper you will be able to do a lot more with the debugger.

    The 3 errors shown above correspond to the 3 tags at the same level in the session.xml file. I have tested this validation process with a session.xml file generated from the workbench and that failed too. Since its a NoSuchMethodException it looks like my ant process isn't finding the oracle.toplink.tools.sessionconfiguration.XMLLoader class, but that is in toplink.jar which is in the class path.
    Any help appreciated

    Dear Arun,
    The WLS server is the same for (integrated WLS and Production) . For JRF template I'm sure it is the same. I have deploy another application that used BC, and it work fine in production.

  • Does compiling an advanced datagrid using flex ant task require additional config other than the license property?

    Hi,
        I am trying to build my Flex app which uses the Advanced Data Grid in a couple of locations. Originally, when I built the app using the flex ant tasks, I noticed the Visualization Trial watermark show up on the screen. I then added the license tag with the serial number to my flex-config.xml and re-ran my ant build. The watermark goes away, but then when I look at the advanced datagrid, the datagrid shows up with the hierarchy, but the data does not display in the grid (only the group by nodes are visible, not the data for the leaf elements). This works fine when I build the app using my Flex Builder. Is there something I am missing or need to add to my flex ant task to make this work?
    Any help or guidance is much appreciated.

  • Properties file not found by classloader when using wlappc ant task

    I have encountered a problem with the WebLogic Ant task "wlappc". When this task compiles a webmodule that uses the struts 1.1 framework I get the below error. This struts based web module deploys and runs fine on BEA Weblogic 8.1 SP2 as an exploded EAR structure. But when I attempt to precompile all the J2EE modules the struts web module will not compile with wlappc. The project is strutured correctly in a split directory structure. The problem area seems to be that we are using the struts-el (struts-el.jar) classes which need the properties files located in the struts.jar. The classloader seems to space out when running via the wlappc ant task. I tried adjusting the classpath via the "classpath" wlappc ant task attribute - but no success. Has anyone had this or a similiar problem?
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance,

  • Using javadoc ant task to generate Javadocs

    Hi all
    this may confuse you (probably because i'm fairly confused)
    i was asked to write a script that in a project that could be ran to generate javadocs using ant libraries (org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.Javadoc)

    Thanks

    thanks both for your pointers.
    I got the build.xml files to generate the javadoc - but is it possibly to get the javadocs of multiple source folders to be created in the place i.e
    the current webapp is seperated into 4 project folders each with their own source code, their is a[b] masterbuild.xml which calls each individual build.xml. Current all this file contains is a 'build.all' target and a 'clean' target.
    Is it possible to generate the javadocs for the whole webapp from here into the same docs folder with each java file being referenced from the same index.html?

  • Using wsdlc Ant task and Eclipse

    Hi all,
    I'm using the WebLogic Ant Task wsdlc to generate a default implementation of a java web service based on an existing WSDL.
    Everythign generates just fine. I have one little problem though: the classes that represent some of the complex types defined in the WSDL are generated in the compiled WSDL file (the JAR file that wsdlc creates). If I open the java source file for the web service (also created by the wsdlc task, but NOT in the compiled wsdl jar) with Eclipse, Eclipse cannot find the source code for those complex types, and therefore underlines the data types in red to indicate an error.
    My question is this: is there a way to tell Eclipse to look for additional source files inside of the compiled wsdl.jar file?
    Many thanks in advance!
    Jeff

    I got around this by unjaring the generated source jar into a "generated/src" directory and put that directory on the build path.

  • Exception starting server when using wlserver Ant task

    Hello All:
    When attempting to start my server using the wlserver Ant task, i receive the following error:
    [wlserver] java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/Server
    [wlserver] Exception in thread "main"
    [wlserver] Error in server execution
    my snippet is as follows:
    <target name="start-server">
    <wlserver beahome="C:\bea" weblogichome="c:\bea\weblogic81" host="localhost"
                        port="7001" username="weblogic" domainname="mydomain" password="weblogic"
                        servername="myserver" action="start"/>
    </target>
    It seems as if it should work fine. Anybody have any solutions? Thanks in advance.
    Ricky

    Ricky,
    You have to add the weblogic JARs to the classpath of the wlserver task.
    add something similar to the following (bold text are additions):
    <path id="classpath.weblogic">
    <fileset dir="c:/bea/weblogic81/server/lib">
    <include name="weblogic_sp.jar" />
    <include name="weblogic.jar" />
    <include name="webserviceclient.jar" />
    </fileset>
    </path>
    <target name="start-server">
    <wlserver beahome="C:\bea" weblogichome="c:\bea\weblogic81" host="localhost"
    port="7001" username="weblogic" domainname="mydomain" password="weblogic"
    servername="myserver" action="start" classpathref="classpath.weblogic"/>
    </target>

  • How to start weblogic instance using wlserv ant task

    Hi,
    Iam using weblogic 8.1
    Iam trying to write build script which starts remote weblogic instance and does deploy using wldeploy and restarts the instance.
    First iam trying with starting weblogic.
    ==============================
    <wlserver
                   dir="${server.project.root.dir}"
                   domainName="${weblogic.domain.name}"
                   serverName="${weblogic.server.name}"
                   host="10.106.90.50"
                   port="8001"
                   generateConfig="true"
                   productionModeEnabled="false"
                   weblogicHome="${weblogic.home}/weblogic81"
              username="weblogic"
                   password="password"
                   args = "-XX:MaxPermSize=512M -Xms256m -Xmx512m"
                   action="start">
                   <classpath refid="weblogic.classpath"/>
              </wlserver>
    ==============================
    Iam getting an issue here , it starts the weblogic but automatically it stops the weblogic , without any exception.
    as per their documentation
    "When you use the wlserver task in an Ant script, the task does not return control until the specified server is available and listening for connections. If you start up a server instance using wlserver, the server process automatically terminates after the Ant VM terminates. If you only connect to a currently-running server using the wlserver task, the server process keeps running after Ant completes."
    I understand what they are saying , but what is the remedy to it , how to rectify it. I tried starting default server it gives NPE.
    ITs kinda very urgent for me any help , or available scripts will be very use ful.
    Thanks in advance.
