Use of Freeze Alert in transaction /SAPAPO/AMON1

Hi,
We have button for Freeze Alert in transaction /SAPAPO/AMON1
I want to know what is use of this function.Is it used only for certain alert types?

Hello,
Freeze alerts are used to Put alerts on hold with the freeze/unfreeze tool. After a refresh, new alerts are marked with a + and alerts that have disappeared are marked with a -, as compared to the last frozen alert situation.
This is used to Simulate the alerts for creation and view the impact of the alerts created and then can mak the decision to save or to unfreeze the alerts.

I do not think this is Security Related at all.
Some Software Components (probably the GUI) are not installed on your machine Properly. Please reinstall the FULL SAPGUI. If this does not help also see if any SAP SCM-APO Patches are Incorrectly Installed. In this case you have to check with the Basis Person on the team and together if you cannot figure please raise an OSS to SAP.

What are APO orders in APO (APO Order transaction:-SAPAPO/SNPTLB)?

Hi Experts,
Basically, am ABAP developer, but, i got a statement as below, regarding the APO,
User Exit of EXIT_SAPMSNPUSER_006 was used for the APO Order transaction:-SAPAPO/SNPTLB.
- What is the APO Order transaction:-SAPAPO/SNPTLB?
- What are the APO orders? Are they are planned orders, like PLNUM field in PLAF tbl?
- Why this transaction is used?
- What could be the business requiremnt behind this development?
- Any other info?

Hi,
Transaction /sapapo/snpylb is a transaction for Transport Load builder.
It does an optimised load build.
It is used to create transport loads once the deployment is carried out.
Once the load is created and you hit save, the user exit EXIT_SAPMSNPUSER_006 gets called.
When one creates the load, APO assigns an internal no to the id.
We had used this user exit to generate a custom no once the user hits save.

Use of APO transaction /sapapo/tsobj

I have a question about the use of APO transaction /sapapo/tsobj - for the transport of planning areas and planning books.
As far as I can see, this transaction can be used to first transport planning areas, and then transport planning books.
Can one also use the transaction to transport planning areas and books in one go?

you can transport planning areas, planning objects, planning books, data views, selection ids and mass processing jobs as well in one shot.

BADI / User Exit for APO Order transaction /SAPAPO/SNPTLB

Hi Experts,
We have a proxy interface and currently we are using FUNCTION EXIT_SAPMSNPUSER_006 for the APO Order transaction: /SAPAPO/SNPTLB.
This exist is triggering before the Order is being saved in APO and at times it is throwing an error 'Order key already exists in live cache' in the APO system.
Is there any other BADI or User exit available to Save the order in APO before the interface gets processed?, if so, plese guide me.

Unable to check the PDS in transaction /sapapo/curto_simu

Hello Experts,
I am using BAPI 'BAPI_PDSSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI' to create the PDS, i can see the pds getting created in /sapapo/trprod and as well i am able to get the PDS details through 'BAPI_PDSSRVAPS_GETLIST',
But using Transaction '/sapapo/curto_simu' i am unable to get any results for the product.

Hi Gemini,
In se37 transaction in the input field, i have entered the 'BAPI_QUOTATION_CREATEFROMDATA2' and clicked on the button ' DISPLAY',but in the status bar i am getting the messsage as 'PROCESSING CANCELLED'.
I think in some transaction something has to be done,so that this can be viewd in SE£7 tcode.

Error message in transaction /SAPAPO/SCC_TQ1

Could you please advise me about nessesary settings for locations.
I maintain Quota Arrangements in transaction /SAPAPO/SCC_TQ1.
While creating Quota Arrangement Item an error occurs:
"The specified partner location PLBP01/ES7032 cannot be quoted"
Message no. /SAPAPO/OO_TR310
For the location, which I input in the field 'Partner location'
So my question is what settings should be made for location in order to make it possible to use it in Quota Arrangement Item?

The reason could be as simple as the two locations not being connected by a valid t Lane. while constructing QA, did you use the selection icon to select the partner location ?

Creation of Selections as seen in transaction /SAPAPO/MSDP_FCST2

Hi All,
Could someone remind me how selections are created that can be seen in transaction /SAPAPO/MSDP_FCST2. If you select F4 on the selection field in the Assign Forecst Profile Screen, it will list all of the current slections that are created. I know this is updated when you execute a forcast against a specific cvc, but how can you do a mass update of this... for 10K + cvs?
I though I would be able to do this in a backround job, but it does not seem to work?

You can create a selection from respective 10+ CVCs in the planning book.
These selection will avaiable in the transaction /SAPAPO/MSDP_FCST2. You can select the respective selection and assign the FCST profile which you want for this selection.
While defining a background job , you can define the master FCST profile which has to be used.
Also in control parameters, check the flag Always use job profille
Indicator: Always Use Forecast Profile of the Job
If you wish this forecast profile to be used always with this selection when the forecast is run, check this box. You specify the selection in the mass processing job. Otherwise, the system uses the forecast profiles that have already been assigned to any selection contained in the mass processing job. You can display and change these assignments in the Assign Forecast Profiles transaction (Demand Planning -> Environment -> Assign a Forecast Profile to a Selection).
Dependencies
If you set this indicator, you cannot use the functions that automatically generate and assign forecast profiles, Generate a profile and assign it or Generate new profile on error.

Hi Rahul - there are no screen exits for /sapapo/snp02. You can however, depending on your version of SCM-APO, use implicit enhancement implementations to add to the selection screen and add logic to use the additional selection criteria. Depending on what you want to do there may be some limitations.

APO SPP: No Historical Forecast visible in transaction /SAPAPO/SPPFCSTTRACK

I am trying to view historical forecast data via transaction /SAPAPO/SPPFCSTTRACK in APO SPP. However i get the message "No hist. fcst time series can be determined".
The forecast strategy is correctly assigned to the product & the standard deviation period is populated as 12 months.
The forecast periodicity is months.
When I execute the forecast using planning service manager or interactively, it correctly calculates the forecast in future as well as ex post forecast in the past. I believe the historical forecast is calculated immediately with the forecast run.
Can anyone help to identify if some setting is missed or any specific planning service is required to be executed to enable historical forecasting. Thanks in advance

If the transaction /SAPAPO/SPPFCSTTRACK does not provide any information regarding Historical Forecast data (while you have already performed the forecast for the certain location product) then you probably haven't created a new forecast with a different model. For example, if you created the first forecast with Moving Average then you need to change the Forecast Strategy to an another one (or run Automatic Model Selection which should also select a different strategy). In case when the new Forecast Strategy differs to the previous one, then the appropriate trigger (SPP_FCSTMODEL_CHANGE) will be created for recalculation of the Historical Forecast. Of course, if the trigger is created, you also need to run a PSM service for the recalculation which should be configured for the location product you need to process.

I should display an error message that stop the saving.

/SAPAPO/RRP_ORD_CONV Enhanced Check for the Convertibility of an Order
depends on your requirement you can select anyone of the above BADi's.
if not try to use enhancement points.

COM routine error code descriptions in SAP APO - transaction /SAPAPO/OM10

I had recently encountered a COM error in SCM APO and wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what the error code actually meant.
If you ever have this issue, you can use transaction /SAPAPO/OM10 to resolve any COM routine error message.
You can also check the message class /SAPAPO/OM_TS and possibly some other /SAPAPO/OM* message classes as well. This is where the error message descriptions are coming from.

Choosing which email address to be used in an alert?

I ical is a great organizational app. I have gone to this forum hoping to find someone else who has tried to do what I want to do, use this to alert another person via email. I "clicked" on the alarm catagory, "clicked" on the email choices, and I am unsure how to go to the all the address book choices. As all that is listed on the drop down menu is my email and I want to choose a new emailee. I have gone to both apps preferences, but no luck. You see I want to alert a "payee" that their bill to me is due.

i can assume by the lack of responses that no one came up with a solution

I'm aware of pragma autonomous transaction ,this allows my code to run independently of the calling program.
But here we are just using utl_File and we are neither using any DML(Inserting error messages into a table) or DDL statements in the below code.
What is real use of having pragma autonomous transaction.???This code is working in the same way even without the pragma...I dont' find any difference .
