Use of one Multichannel Device with multiply programs

Hi,
I have two Labview DAQmx measurememt programs:
1. one channel with microphon
2. three or more channels with vibration sensors
Every program use the Labview vi's:
DAQmx Create Channel, DAQmx Start Task
Loop with DAQmx Read
DAQmx Clear
All is good working parallel in one system, if I use two measurement cards.
Now I have only one 8 channel card 4472.
I could use one channel for microphone, the other for the vibration sensors.
Of course with the same samplerate.
Is there an solution to capture the data from the one DAQ card from both programs?
If not, what is a good solution to solve this problem, without complete rewrite both programs to one program?
Possible a new DAQ measurement program to share the data to other programs at the same computer:
- with TCP Servers for every channel or
- with network shared variables or ?

I think I have to modify the programs:
The multichannel with an option to send some channel data to a VI Server Network Queue, see good example http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/TCP-Listen-VI/m-p/1017592#M453829
The other to receive the data from this queue instead of the use of DAQmx.

What's the easiest way to use one bluetooth device with both Mac and iPhone? (Not a the same time.) I have it working with a voip phone on my mac (x-lite), or with the Bria voip app and the ATT line on my iphone. What I want is step by step how to accomplish the transition with the fewest clicks. I understand that I can't use it with both the Mac and the iPhone at the same time, and that's acceptable.
But it's tedious, and I would like to switch it back and forth several times a day.

You might be thinking of Crossover. Not sure if Windows Media Player works under it, but their website has info on requested and working apps.

Where can I find an adapter that will let me use my firewire 800 devices with a thunderbolt only ported macbook air?

Been looking for a way to use my firewire 800 devices with my macbook air - which has only usb and thunderbolt ports. I've seen internet pages for an adapter from sonnet but have not found anywhere to actually purchase such a thing. Would love to be able to at least try to use the thunderbolt port - for something - or trade the thing in for something with present day usable firewire 800 ports. Is this thunderbolt technology already getting shelved? I see like 5 items on the market that actually use this port... really? That's it? Thank you for any guidance!

HT1695 i just got an ipad 2, 32gb, i have wireless internet thru my phone carrier for my computer, they say i can use up to 5 devices with it, but i cant get the ipad to connect to it, i have tried everything, i think, can u help me figure this out

You can not install it.

Can I use one GBIP-Interface with two programs at the same time?

Hi, I have one PCI-GBIP-controller with multiple instruments installed. Now I want to use these instruments with two differents programs at the same time.
E.g.: program 1 uses GPIB0::1 and GPIB0::3
and program 2 uses GPIB0::4 and GPIB0::7
Is this possible??
When I have tried to do this, I always got timeout errors..

Hi,
You shouldn't have any problems accessing different devices from different programs using the same interface. I even used the two VIs to communicate with the same device. Although not the best approach, VISA didn't return any errors.

Conflicting advice with zpools and the use of /dev/did devices with HASP

I've read that you should not use /dev/did devices with zpools/HAStoragePlus resources, and I've also read that you can.
From the EIS checklist (we're a Sun partner):

Can i use 2 ipod nano devices with the 1 itunes library

Bought a second I pod nano ( both 7th generation) , was wanting to let my daughter use the first one while I use second one but just wondering if I can use 2 ipods on the one iTunes account ?
If so how do I go about setting up the new one with my iTunes library loaded onto the new one without affection the original one ?

iTunes treats each iPod separately. Each one is listed separately in iTunes, even if you have BOTH connected at the same time. Select one iPod and set it up as desired. Select the other iPod and set it up as desired.

Using different versions of libs with certain programs

This has been something bugging me for a while now in Arch, but up til now not enough to start trying to find a solution.
What is going on is that I have a variety of programs I would like to run from /home/usr_name/software which is the dir where I stick stuff I don't want/need to install. A lot of programs in this category come with their own versions of libs that differ from those I often have installed elsewhere in the usual places. The problem I run into is that Arch always prefers the installed libs over the ones found locally in the programs own dir tree.
Is there something I can do to change this default behavior, or at least something I can add in the terminal each time I run one of these programs to force it to look where I want it to for the local versions of the libs?

Got a little side tracked as the UPS guy showed up with my new graphics tablet shortly after I made that post.
Once I look into it and try it out on a few things I will come back and update how it went and mark this solved.

How do I use more than one USB device with Airport Extreme?

I would like to plug a shared hard drive into my new airport extreme and still be able to plug in a shared printer as well. How am I supposed to do this with only one USB port. Do I use a USB hub???

To use multiple USB devices you would use a powered USB hub.
You can connect a hard drive to one of the Ethernet ports providing the hard drive is a NAS and supports Ethernet connections. In that situation the NAS hard drive is just like any other Ethernet client and the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) does not handle the file sharing services. The drive itself would provide the file sharing services.

Using Passbook on multiple devices with one Apple ID?

My wife and I each have an iPhone 4S, and we each have an iPod Touch. We use a single Apple ID on all devices (mine). I'm the only one that's really even using Passbook, but Passbook alerts are popping up on all four devices. When I use my Starbucks card, all 4 devices receive the alert. When I use my AMEX, all four devices are alerted. I want to either disable Passbook on three of the four devices, or figure out how to tie Passbook on those devices to a secondary Apple ID.

If you want to share an apple id, but not passbook, you can turn off syncing on her device under settings > iCloud > passbook.

I'm doing exactly what you want to do. I have a linksys WRT54GP2A-AT (wireless router with AT&T VOIP) downstairs and a WAP54G upstairs. I have the same SSID, same channel, and same security settings. My laptop will connect to the strongest signal. You can bring up the wireless client list on the WRT and see that the laptop is there or not depending on where in the house i am. I walked downstairs from upstairs and move from one wap to the other automatically. Pretty cool.

I have bought a pair of Sennheiser MM100 wireless headphones and they are great, however, I'm having trouble switching between devices.
I have an iPad2 and an iPhone 4s and the headphones connect to both with no problems. My issue comes when I want to switch from using the headphones with my iPhone (listening to music on the walk to the train station) to using them with my iPad (to watch a movie on the train). The iPad still shows that it is paired with the headphones but will not connect saying that they must be turned off or out of range. Even if I turn the headphones off then on again, they immediately reconnect with the iphone.
I've tried deselecting the headphones as the source for audio from the airplay icon before I make the switch and have also done this before turning them off and then back on again.
The only way I can make the switch is to turn the headphones off, tell the iPad to forget the device, turn the headphones on (by holding the on button for 5 seconds it automatically goes to Pair mode). I pair up the iPad and it connects fine. But I have to go through the same process when the train pulls into my stop to be able to use the headphones to listen to music to walk to work!
Is there an easier way? I thought I would just be able to use the airplay icon to deselect it on one device and select it for the other.
Any help would be much appreciated. I'm going to miss my stop on the train some day!!!

Here's the trick.
turn on the headphones.
It will connect to the device it last connected to ...assuming that its' on.
go to the bluetooth menu of your phone or ipad (if it's a computer you want to connect to I'll tell you that trick in a second.
and so now, hold down the S button on the headphones for about 4 or 5 seconds (the same button you use to turn on the headphones) ...the light goes from blue to blinking red....now you're in the pairing mode...which is good...now in the bluetooth menu simply select the mm100 and it will connect...
you won't have to type in the 0000 or tell it to forget the device..
but by holding down the button and putting it in pairing mode it frees it from being connected to the device it automatically connected to and lets it connect to the device you choose. this is true of any bluetooth headset.
if you want to connect to your computer, again...hold down that button on the headphones for 4 or 5 seconds till it enters pairing mode, then on your computer if you have a speaker icon in the menu bar, hold down the option key while selecting the speaker icon...you'll see a list of devices ...select the mm100 and your good to go.
if you don't have the speaker icon there..go to system prefences and choose the mm100's there.

Can I use a tape autoloader device with OSB Express?

The Express version of OSB allows me to backup one server to one attached tape drive.
The DataSheet also mentions that OSB XE supports a maximum of one tape drive within a robotic library.
Does this allow me to use a tape autoloader (namely the SL24 LTO4) with OSB Express? The device is listed in the tape device compatibility matrix, but does not say of restrictions between the fully licensed and the Express version.

Yes, OSB-XE could be used with the tape autoloader listed on the device...as long as it has only one tape drive.

Transferring content from one apple device with one apple id to another device with a different apple id. (Family members)

My son has an IPod Touch and uses my apple ID to purchase and download music and movies from the Itunes store. He finally got a job and he purchased an IPhone 5 C and has his own apple ID. What is the easies way for him to transfer the contents of his IPod (that was purchased with my apple id) to his new device that has his own apple id?

iTunes and App store puechaesed are permanently tied to the AppleID used to purchase them. They can't be transfered.
