I wish to use VBA and Excel to programmatically open numbered Dreamweaver HTML (CS5) and find and replace text in the code view of these files, save and close them.
I have 5000 associations between Find: x0001 and Replace: y0001 in an Excel sheet.
I have the VBA written but do not know how to open, close and save the code view of the ####.html files. Please ... and thank you...

This is actually the code view of file ####.html that I wish to find and replace programmatically where #### is a four digit number cataloguing each painting.... In 1995 I thought this was clever... maybe not so clever now :>)) Thank you for whatever you can do Rob!

Thank you. I was able to find the security setting section. The problem I have now, however, is writing the VBA to save to PDF and incorporate the security settings. I thought if i applied the settings to the Excel document I was working on it would carry over, but this does not seem to be the case. Any idea's?

I need to convert pdf to XML format so that it can be imported into Excel workbook and the information can be extracting out and mapped to existing excel cells. What is the easiest way to get it down without introduce any additional tools/software
other than Microsoft products? Client want to keep their process simple and it will be used for many agents in remote locations. They mentioned that they want to use VBA to do it. I could not find much useful information on this. Thanks a lot!

No Office programs can open a pdf and edit the contents so you will have to get a different app to convert teh pdf into xls format. There are plenty to be found on the web.

According to your descriptioin, I don't think this is system problem, it should be Intel driver problem. It would be contact Intel to confirm this issue whether this is their driver problem.

I believe on new mac this is how it works by default. There is a preference to turn this 'feature' off.
You should look in you login items under accounts under system preferences.
Here is how to find out what version of Mac OS you are running:
Click on the blue apple in the upper left hand of the screen.
click on this icon
Click on the first line, "About This Mac"
Most of these are numbers & that's what we want.

Using iCloud will not affect your dock or your widgets. If you upgrade to iCloud, your MobileMe mail account will be updated to an iCloud account, but that is all that will happen. What exactly is it that you are worried about.

I have tried using Illustrator and Photoshop but I lack experience so I'm probably missing something. I'd be glad of some help as this is all that is preventing me from marking it as complete. Use Photoshop and the Stamp tool (S) to get rid of the lettering.
Do little areas at a time, constantly changing the sampling point if you want a half decent job.
Also, don’t use a .jpg format for files with lettering.
If you must have lettering use .psd, .tif, .png or some other non-lossy format.

Try to edit the size of the page using the sides of the page, or if you are desperate, force quit using command-Q. In full screen put your cursor on the top of the page, and the menu bar will appear. If it doesn't keep "pushing" it up until it does. Hope this helps!

You have one and possibly two problems.
First problem you tried to open the iPhoto library with iTunes and appeared to have set iTunes as the default app for iPhoto Libraries. That isn;t going to work.
To fix that select the iPhoto library in the Finder and do a File->Get Info. In the middle of the Info window you'll see Open With dropbox. Click on that and select iPhoto, then select the Change All button
This will get iPhoto back as the default app to open iPhoto Libraries.
Double click the library now and if nothing else is wrong iPhoto will open the library. If it does do as Michael wrote and go to the Applications folder and drag iPhoto to the dock to remake the shortcut.
However since you started this thread by saying that the iPhoto shortcut in the dock had a question mark on it it is possible that iPhoto is missing from your Applications folder. If it is post back.

The application auto-saves your input when you close the document. If you left the document, as you state, the notes/comments should have been saved and should have been visible the next time you opened the document with the Mobile Reader (note that if you are opening the document with another app such as Apple's built in PDF Viewer, things like notes/comments may not be visible). Also note that if you are doing an Open In... from another app (like Dropbox), the version of the document in Dropbox does not update; only the version of the document in the Mobile Reader is updated.

Here's what I'm trying to achieve: on demand I'd like to execute VBA code that will use Bexanalyzer.xla functions to log in and then refresh a query that exists in the Excel workbook. Ultimately I'll want to apply parameters / variables to the query when it is refreshed. I may then automatically execute VBA code to manipulate the resulting data in the workbook. Basically I want to be able to do all of this without any user input.
