User Admin emails notifications

Does the User Admin fuctionality of E-Commerce for ERP include email notifications when a new user is created and/or password is changed? We want the new user's inital password sent to him/her when they are first created, and when their password is changed.

The UME logon module provides e-mail notification to password reset and control the rules to expired password.

"Set the Search Allowed property to True for any LOV result items you want to present to the user as searchable values. These items are listed in the search poplist the user sees in the LOV window.
At a minimum you must set the Search Allowed property to True for the the result table item corresponding to the LOV field on the base page.
This is from the devguide, I suggest you read it once at least if you have started work on the framework.

USER EXIT: Email notification after PO creation

Hi everyone!
May I know if there exists a User Exit / BAdI in this following scenario:
1. An email notification outside SAP is sent whenever there is a creation of PO (Purchase Doc)?
Please advise if this is possible.

Instead of User-Exit/BADI use Output type technique. Via Output Type you can send notification mail. Discuss on the same with your functional consultant.

Ical Server Snow Leopard email notification: just a clarification question.

I succesfully installed my mac mini snow leo server.
Our scenario: icalserver calendar is used by 4 clients in our network.
ical server is running fine, but there is one thing I
do not understand: the workflow of email notification.
On the server I enabled email notification and set up an email adress [email protected] in Server Admin / Emailnotification.
Then I created a test event in ical. I did not use the local calendar,
I used the caldav calendar.
Then I was wondering: why did mail start on mini server to send the invitation ?
Email data is still stored in Server Admin / Email notification, so I assume email is sent independently in the backgound from any mail programm !??!
It would be nice if anybody could give me any advice.

Invitations are sent to external email recipients directly by the server posting them to a known mail queue, (probably in your case on the same mini). There is a calendar server manual online which explains, and calendarserver.org where the project is based. I was only able to make it work using the internal account names, not a friendly one I set up for the purpose.

I have creted User/Analyst email notification.When end user send mail to SCSM it;s creating ticket and send the email notification to the User.But the Email body and Signature mixing and showing in a single paragraph.I need to have same email body which
user will send to scsm in the email notification.

AP Approval Request Information email notification doesnot work

I have setup AP approval with AME ( oracle ver 11.5.10.2 and AME Ver B). The Approve and reject actions on the email notification work fine but when approver clicks on "Request information" then the reply screen is displayed as below:
Request more information from: 'Enter Requestee role here'
Question: 'Enter your question here'
NID[2920949/1421900579@WFMAIL][3]
workflow for APINV is not getting the value for 'Enter Requestee role here' automatically . Is this standard functionality? I have setup GL journal approval and requistion approval but i didnot get into this issue .
Please also advise why APinv is getting Role instead of user. the email notification is getting "accouts payable" instead of the person who created the invocie. the TO is correct as it shows the approver user name. i.e
the notification shows:
From: To
Accounts Payable Steve,Bush

guys - if you are 11.5.10 and implementing AP approval then the request information action does not work..i.e approver cannot just click on request infromation and ask any question to the sender .....oracle has ER for this....do not know why they have to remove this....

Email notification is not sent to the user and admin

Hi gurus ,
We have a incident that user and admin is not received the email notification to lotus notes id.other users receiving the notifications from the same application.Same user and admin receiving mails from other applications
SWI1 no error but in SOST there is no record of a mail sent.
Have checked SU01 the user has an email address maintained both in ESS and R/3.
As per config SO16 - home address is selected.
In the profile his external email id is selected as home address.
what should i check next to sort out the issue.

I have an issue on a live SP2013 farm that is really causing me grief. Although I ( Farm Admin) and my other users can follow items which are subsequently confirmed in our respective News Feeds -
none of my users are are actually getting emails notifications .
Alerts ( did) work fine.
I have written some PS to vew and set the SPS-EmailOptin for each user

For my currrent client I set up a development intranet which had the seperate web apps for the main portal and mysites. Test users were able to follow documents, sites without any problems. Before go live I was asked to accomodate a requirement
where there is only one web application (don't ask!) effectivley http://myintranet
so mysites sits under http://myintranet/mysites . I made the appropriate changes to my AutoSPInstaller scritpt and al appearedd l good : services , Service appplications, mysites are all started. I am using
the two app pool accounts one for the portal and one for mysites.
A quick look at the the releated threads on this forum indicated permssions could be DB permissions related tho I am not seeing anything in ULS to strongly point to this

OIM 9102: Send Email Notification to other user in a task

I created a process in OIM. In this process exist a Task: Manager Process. When this task will be completed for the user that be assigned. In the Notification Tab are able to send a email notification to a Assign User, Requester User, User or User Manager. But i need to send a email notification a other user different to them, for example: juan.perez, this user is in OIM.
I have read the following documents:

You can use OIM email API to send an email from the java code. You can attach code on post creation user using entity adapter. Every time a user is created the email is triggered.
Here is the sample:

Do you just create the user in OIM and not anywhere else?
I have cofigured notification on the the target resources that i automatically assign to users as soon as they are created via trusted recon. Let say a user gets AD rersource. Ill notify whoever i want from there.
Another way i did it was using the post eventHandler code. I call an email service to notify admins on the status of the recon and post recon eventhandlers. snippet below..

EMail Notification for the Newly Created users using UME API

In my application ,the user creation is handled by custom Admin module which uses the UME APIs. Upon creating the user, we need to send a notification mail to the user's email id which he provided in the Add new user form.
Is there any direct APIs available to notify the user via email. I hope the Standard user creatin module in User Administration also uses the same UME APIs.
Please let me know the possibilities.

How to send Email Notifications to OID users?

Hi All,
I have a requirement where I need to send an email notification from the BPEL process. The Email notification has to be sent to a used who invoked the process the userName is provided in the initiation parameters. But I need to fetch the email id for the give userName from the OID which is integrated with the BPEL Process Manager.
Is there any way I can fetch the email addresses from the OID in BPEL ?

Hi Folks, Finally I found the answer... If the APP server is integrated with the OID(Identity Management is set to Oracle Internet Directory and configured properly) the function ora:getUserProperty(bpws:getVariableData('myUser'),'mail') should return the mail property of the user object in OID.
If your Identity Management is set to the File-Based system then it will get the user properties from the $ORACLE_HOME/bpel/system/services/config/user_properties.xml.

I have a package for multiple file processing using for each file enumerator .each file having same column definition but for different
users and different name .
i have some mandatory fields to form unique id on combination
1.when files processing any data missed on mandatory fields it should alert users saying following line and fields are missing mandatory
information
2.email notification should send to respective users based on file name.
example :

You need to have a package with below work flow
1. ForEachLoop container with file enumerator to loop through files
Have variable inside loop to get the filename during each iteration. Create another variable called emailaddress, set EvaluateAsExpression property to true and set expression as
REPLACE(@[User::FileName],".xls","") + (DT_STR,20,1252) "@xyx.com"
2. Add tasks for validating data. Capture details of error on a string variable @[User::Error]
3. link a sent mail task to previous task and choose expression and constraint option. Set Constraint as On Completion and Expression as LEN(@Error) > 0
Inside Sent mail task set expression for ToLine and MessageSource properties to map to variables @[User::EmailAddress] and @{User::Error] respectively to sent notifications

Issue in User decision title in Email Notification

We have used extended notification to send email notifications for PR, in User decision step I have used the decision title as "Purchase Requisition Decision for &". But when we schedule the SWN_SELSEN as a background job, in SOST email subject is not same as the User decision step title it is as "New work items in your Workflow inbox".
Could you please let me know how to get the description same as User decision step.

Please check General settigns of SWNCONFIG. Here check eliment 'SUBJECT_WF_INBOX'. Here its default value is NASWN070, which is nothing but the message of SWN class. Chcek Message No 70 of SWN class which states that ''New work items in your Workflow inbox'' which you are getting currently. Please provide your message instead of the standard one.

SAP BPC 10.0 Netweaver : Workstatus email notification sender is the User how to change it ?

I've just set up email notification for Workstatus. I works fine but I've noticed something that won't be accepted by my customer :
I Had created a BPC Service User SMAIL to send email notification. But it is useless since the email notification sender is always the user who actually made the workstatus change.
This is very strange because this means that SAP can send emails IN NAME of Users. By default the email used is the user's email set up in SU01 and if the user has no email the sender mail adresse is : USERID@DEFAULTHOST
Default domain defined in SCOT transaction for SAPCONNECT.
I think that this situation raises a security breach ; to my opinion SAP should not be able to send emails in the name of users.
Do you have any idea to change this situation in order to make all notification emails send by one unique System User as BPCSERVICEMAIL for instance.

The answer to your question #2 is that we won't have SSIS packages in BPC7NW since all SQL server based functionality won't be there in Netweaver version. If you use migration tools to migrate from BPC5.x to BPC7NW, it can convert SSIS packages. However any custom SSIS code would have to be converted manually.
