Sorry if this has been asked before, but a discussion search didn't find it...
Using Acrobat 9 Pro...with an open document, clicking File/Attach to Email...opens Groupwise 8, attaches the document fine and I send...no problem. Then close Groupwise, leaving "User Cancelled Operation" box open in Acrobat 9. Doesn't seem to be any adverse problems caused by this error, but how can I prevent it from happening?

If they are using Reader and you have requested the full PDF submission, this may be the problem. Why not try just the data submission and see if that helps. The data can simply be imported into the form on your end.

Unable to open PDF's "User Cancelled Operation"

Since Adobe Reader updated to XI, I have been unable to open any PDF files on my computer. Every time I try to open a PDF file or open Adobe Reader from the start menu it takes forever to load the program and before it finishes loading i get an error screen "User cancelled operation" I hit OK it closes the program.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I have tried all the other options that I can, that I have found in the forums

Can you please provide the following details:
1. Are you able to launch just the Reader from Start menu->All programs? If yes, can you please try opening a pdf from File->Open menu. What happens, do you get the same error or the file opens?
2. Can you please share a sample pdf file that you are facing issue with
3. Since when did you start facing this issue ? When did you update your Reader to version XI?

USER Cancelled message while navigating report.

One of our clients are facing a peculiar problem. We have a VB 6 application with crystal report 9 reports assocaited to it. When the user generates a report which has a large amount of data, and he tries to navigate to the next page, he gets and message "User Cancelled". If it is sent to printer directly, it says "Error printing". This report has 3 small sub reports embeded into it.
Request you to let us know, what could be casing this issue.

It's possible that one of the items in your scenario has a time out limit. When it goes beyond that limit the error message defaults to a 'user canceled' message. This happens in Access all the time because the queries in there default to 60 seconds - your scenario seems to be a similar issue. Maybe look for something about a time out limit.

User cancelled request error

Have a feeling this has been discussed before, but couldn't find anything that worked. When I try to start a video chat with a friend, I get the message that the user cancelled the request, even thought it was accepted. Both of us were able to successfully connect to the apple test video chat. We have port forwarded all the ports Apple reccommended, but still no luck. Anyone have any suggestions?
My setup: 12inch ibook G4 with 768 megs of RAM
Router setup is tricky: Linksys WIRED router connected to cable modem. From there I have a Netgear WIRELESS router plugged into the Linksys. My ibook uses wireless most of the time.
I can get video chat no problem when I connect directly to the modem. Couldn't connect with just one router on the network (either one). The wired linksys is older, so I thought it may have been that, but the newer wireless router didn't work either.
Anyone know what the specific router settings are supposed to be? I have applecare for the ibook and they said they couldn't help since it was a router issue. I thought good customer service would be helping the customer get their product working, but apparently not. Any help is appreciated!

Hello Meghan. First, I suggest you and your chat buddies who use Tiger should consider the suggestions from Help for iChat AV 3 Problems that are relevant to your system(s?) to see if they resolve your problem.
If they do not, both of you should test with several other users to find which system is causing the problem. Otherwise, both of you will need to troubleshoot everything.
If you need more Buddy Names for iChat Test, you can get some here. I keep no regular hours, but I (or the others listed there) will be happy to test with you whenever our status shows green ("Available") in your Buddy List.
The problem system should then consider the suggestions in Using iSight with iChat AV.
Among the suggestions there are tips on trouble shooting multiple devices as well as links to info about router configuration. Having tested with only one router in the loop, you have a good start on that, but you may need the additional suggestions, too.
(You do not specifically say so, but I assume here that you are using iChat AV as your video chat app.) Use of multiple routers with iChat AV may require additional configuration settings. iChat AV can deal with only ONE device acting as a DHCP server. Therefore, I suggest that you only use one router if you can operate in that way.
If you MUST use two routers for some reason, DHCP serving MUST be disabled (turned off) on one of the routers so only ONE of them is serving DHCP. The best way to do this is to enable "bridge mode" in one router. The instructions for doing this are in your router's users manual.
If you are using multiple routers because you have several computers, game boxes, VOIP devices, etc., connected to your internet service, you should Check your Broadband Speed.
Just FYI, I (and many other users) need NO port configuration of any kind to make iChat Video work. I have my Mac OS X software firewall enabled at all times and use a wireless router that is in current production. I make NO manual port configuration settings in either component.
If you must make manual port configuration setting to make your system work, pay particular attention to the router suggestions from Ralph Johns that are linked in "Using iSight with iChat AV." Ralph also explains the error in Apple's Technical Article #93208. Carefully double check all settings and changes that you have made against Ralph's info. That should get you going if your problem is related to port configuration.

Close excel programmatically after user cancels file selection

Greetings all. I apologize but I incorrectly posted this question on the wrong board originally so am posting it again here. I have a VI that I wrote with some help from this site that reads in as many user selected Flat Data Files as desired into Excel. The VI opens Excel, places each Flat Data File on one row and ends, allowing the user to manipulate the Excel data as desired. I have tested it without problems with up to 100 files at a time. The VI minimizes Excel at startup so that it will not block the Select File(s) dialogue. MY problem is this: If the user cancels the file selection, it returns an error and leaves Excel open. I understand how to handle the error, but have been unable to make Excel close automatically if the action is canceled. I have tried to invoke the Close without saving node with no luck... probably because I don't understand how to apply it. Ideally, I want to take the error number to a case statement, and if it is anything other than zero (0), meaning no error, I want Excel to close down. This will eventually be an executable so I need to make this right. Can anybody help? I have attached a zip file with the VI's and some sample Flat Data Files.

If you want anything to run after an error you must clear the error status boolean from the error cluster. To do this use the bundle by name and set the status value to FALSE, take this output cluster into the function you wish to run.

Query on cancel operation on adf:table

Hi,
We are developing an ADF-BC project using JDeveloper 11g.
I have an query on the industry standard for implementing the 'Cancel' operation.
In my application,all the pages have an adf:table with CRUDimplemenations on it.
In a scenario where I do add row/edit row'delete row,what is the standard procedure
for implementing the 'Cancel' operation.
Is it sufficient if I call viewobject.executeQuery() in my backing bean[will it produce performance problem]
or is there any other ways of achieving it.
Please suggest/advice.

Cancel download method when the user cancel the download file

I have a method that download a file ("downloadLog_action()")when the user click over the comandlink component and the dialog box is opening to save the file, but how to know that the user canceled the download file to cancel all accions.

The problem occurs when the user cancels the download, because all the sentences run including updating the counter downloads, the counter only to be updated only when the user chooses to save the file.

[CS3] [JS] User canceled

I am doing my first steps trying to make the InDesignServer to create some pages. For some reason I sometimes get an error message: "User canceled this action."
Obviously there is no user involved. And nothing is canceled. I cannot figure out what causes this problem.
I trigger the server JS script from applescript passing some arguments. But I also had this error running the script directly from ExtendScript Toolkit 2.
Anyone experienced something like this?

No Dave, that was the first thing I commented out when I prepared the script to run on InDesingServer. Also, the script does run sometimes (like 4 out of 5).

How do I detect user's Operating System?

Hello,
I was wondering if there is an amazing bit of actionscript
out there that allows flash to detect the user's operating system,
and from there then open the correct install version of adobe
reader (basically just several different .exe files which I already
have downloaded).
I am using actionscript 2.0.

GPO Deployement of Blackberry Desktop Software 6.1 fail with the following error: user cancelled installation

Hello everybody,
I get an issue when i try to deploy the latest version of Blackberry Desktop Software using a Group Policy Objetc.
The package tries to install a the computer's startup but i can't find the product installed.
On the event viewer and after a rsop.msc i get the following error: User cancelled installation
I worked threw this link http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Desktop-Software-for-PC/Unable-to-install-Blackberry-Desktop-... and i installed vcredist_x86 and msxml6 on the client computer but the problem is still the same.
Could anyone help me for this issue.
Over simple way to solve my problem would be to let me know where i can download an older version of Blackberry Desktop Software because there is a link on the website but it doesn't work.

Well folks. I've had enough.
The 9780 is a great phone, it's easy to use, practical and dependable. However, the Desktop Manager software has been giving me too many sleepless nights. On two occassions I must add: once at the end of last year when I bought it and only managed to solve it by myself after 4 weeks of trawling through online forums, blogs and other BB help sites and the recent one was last week when I tried to install it on my new Windows 7 notebook.
I know this is not entirely the fault of RIM, Microsoft also has a part to play. But considering the state of technology these days, it shouldn't have to be so difficult. I want a phone and software that makes my life easier and not have to be a slave to it by trying days and nights to solve its problems.
Hence, I have officially decom my phone and gotten an iPhone 4 instead. The switch ain't that difficult for me as I have always been platform neutral. As long it fits my needs, does it job well and doesn't give me too much headache, I'm cool with it.

Wi don't disappear if user cancel the transaction

I'm testing one scene, that the wi calls one transaction, and this transaction calls (by button click) other transaction (MIGO).
If the user cancel the MIGO and go back and exit... I want the wi continue in inbox.
I remember that once a time Ramki answered me to user EXIT_CANCELLED statement in the method, controlled by a variable. But I don't know how to use this statement.
how can I do this ?

2- if I identify that the user had canceled the transaction, I have to interceptate with the EXIT_CANCELLED macro. But how I call this macro... because I've tested and put it on the end of the method directly, but the wi disapears always.
eg.: (Is this the way to do that ??????)

I get this error when installing VS 2015 Community RC. I'm installing on Windows 10 build 10074. I tried uninstalling VS and tried performing the steps from other known issues... Change > Custom > Select feature > Update.
I also get the other errors as well...

Same issue here, on a Surface Pro 3.
I've tried all I can think of, including a full reinstall of the OS (10074). Basically it always fails with the errors below.
Launching VS I do have the UAP templates installed, but not the emulators. I can create a new Windows Universal app no problem, however it shows up as a Windows 8.1 type in the properties pane. Missing lots of references so obviously nothing builds.
Tried installing the tools separately (the ones linked by Paul Chapman in a separate thread). These installed fine, and gave me the emulators (at least in the drop down, haven't been able to verify they work as nothing else works). Proceeded to "repair"
the VS install after this and at that point the install completed without errors, however nothing still works inside VS. Then proceeded to "modify" and remove any Universal app stuff, rebooted and reinstalled, only to get the same error again and
back at square one.
Tried, as far as I can remember, fresh installs from both the ISO and webinstaller (as there was some talk about the ISO containing older code and missing some tools).
Spent a week trying to get a Win10 rig up now, to no avail. Previous builds (with CTP6) would give me a UAP mobile install error, which seemed linked to Hyper-V not working, however Hyper-V was working just fine...
Oh, and obviously - No, I did not cancel the install myself.

Some users are receiving the following errors after Visual Studio setup completes

We've fixed this issue, and have released an update as of 7PM PDT 30 April 2015.
New installs of Visual Studio 2015 RC should expect to no longer encounter this problem, unless
you lose your internet connection during installation. (That is, this error now indicates that the Windows SDK or Windows Emulator setup invoked by Visual Studio setup has lost internet connectivity and cannot download necessary files.)
To fix the issue, re-run setup and select the features "Universal Windows App Development Tools" and/or "Emulators for Windows Mobile" again.
If you have already installed Visual Studio and encountered this problem, you can now modify your Visual Studio installation to successfully install.
Go to Program & Features, select Visual Studio 2015 RC, and select Change. Click
Modify, then select the features "Universal Windows App Development Tools" and/or "Emulators for Windows Mobile", and click
Update.
Note that "Universal Windows App Development Tools" will be already selected. This is expected. Keep it selected, and click
Update.
An alternate solution is to install the Windows 10 SDK and Windows Emulators separately. Go to
https://dev.windows.com/downloads/windows-10-developer-tools. Scroll to the bottom of the page and install
the Windows 10 SDK and Windows 10 emulators outside of Visual Studio setup.

Scanner stops mid scan and troubleshooting says user cancelled

Scanner stops mid scan and freezes. Troubleshooting program says "user cancelled" during test, but I didn't touch system. All connections fine. uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. Restarted printer multiple times. Help!

ME9F : no update message 'NEU' when user cancel the printing

I use transaction ME9F and when the user click on the button Output message, a specific program is called.
A popup is displaying in order to display a choice for the user. He can choose print Original document or Copy and he can also cancel the printing.
But when he cancel the printing the message NEU is OK (green cross) but the PO is not printed.
Do you a solution for not changing the message NEU when the user cancel the printing.
