User Exception when Exporting

Hi,
I am creating a transport set to attempt an export from an Oracle 9i/Application Server 10g Windows 2000 system.
The first entry in the log when I export is:
[24-SEP-04 16:59:08][ERROR] id = NULL context = NULL user = ORCLADMIN Exception in wwutl_dep_pagegroup.get_page_link_dependencies : User-Defined Exception
The Export completes but fails on import.
Can anyone tell me what this error means and how to fix it? I can log in using ORCLADMIN without any issues.
John

Gautam,
Hmm -- the fact that you're able to store instances in the database in
the same application certainly is surprising.
Can you enable trace-level locking for the MetaData log channel, and
post the output?

Hi all,
I am evaluating KODO JDO for a possibly gigantic scale implementation. I
am trying following code to get all available instances of the class
"Country" defined in package jdoeval.
Class target = Country.class;
Extent extent = pm.getExtent (target, true);
Query query = pm.newQuery (extent);
//query.compile ();
Collection result = (Collection) query.execute ();
This piece of code code fails when it reaches query.execute(). Here is the
exception I am getting:-
kodo.util.UserException: Unable to execute a query on type "class
jdoeval.Country". This class or interface is not persistent, and does not
have any persistent implementors.
Now, I am 100% sure that my jdoeval.Country class is persistent, because I
have enhanced it every time I built my application using the KDO enhancer.
I have also stored some instances of class "Country" in MySQL database
using the same application.
What could I be missing?
FYI, I am using KDO as a plugin inside the Eclipse IDE.
With thanks to all the team members for a great product.

  • How to keep User Order when exporting a collection?

    I made a collection of about 300 VC's, chosen from many folders in my catalogue. These images were taken over a 10 year period, using 3 different cameras and having different names and file types. The collection was sorted by "User Order". I spent a good deal of time organizing the collection so that the images made visual sense when shown as a slide show on a digital album.
    I exported the collection to my hard drive as jpegs, and checked the box to place them back in my catalogue, in a designated subfolder within my parent folder. All went well except they are now completely out of order, and that order makes no logical sense whatsoever - not by date, metadata, filename, attributes, nothing that I can figure out. I have to start all over again to reorder them - something that will take several hours.
    What did I do wrong? How can I keep my designated user order when I export a collection?
    I am using LR 4.3.
    Thanks for your replies.

    Hi Rene,
    Lightroom does not maintain user order upon exporting. It would make no sense when not exporting back to catalog, but when exporting back to catalog I can see that it may be desirable - consider making a feature request (Idea) here:
    http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/new
    In the mean time, I *think* what most people do to assure export ordering is to name the files according to desired order, then sort by filename. I could be wrong about that, but that's all I got.
    Beware: If said approach is adopted, one would not be able to do incremental exports and maintain such ordering (e.g. when single image added to publish service), so all files would need to be re-exported if such change was made.
    I have requested access to sort order and added-order via plugin for plugin-assisted remedy, but so far no go.
    Another idea (which may not be acceptable) is to use capture-time to maintain sort order of exported photos (via a plugin like Exportant), then it would be easy enough to maintain user order by manipulating capture time (of exported photos I mean, post-export), but then you'd lose the true capture-time, granted: capture time could be put into some other field, but that might foul things up downstream... hmm - sorry for rambling/brain-storming out loud.
    Maybe somebody else has a better idea.

  • Unhandled exception when exporting to EXCEL

    Hello,
    When I am exporting some reports, Desktop Intelligence crashes (error message at the end of this post).
    I work on Window XP SP2.
    My Desktop Intelligence release is 11.5.0.0.
    It happens when I try to save with EXCEL format (no problem with PDF or RTF).
    This does not happen with the same report in Business Object 6.5 (no problem to export to EXCEL on 6.5).
    I tried with Desktop Intelligence (11.5.0.0) on CITRIX Server (Windows 2003 system) and it crashes also.
    I have not seen any solution already posted on forums.
    Thanks for you help.

    Hi Laurent,
    Following information might help you to resolve the issue.
    1. Delete some temp files from the temp file folder.

    u2022      Windows Office 2000
    u2022      Windows Office 2000 SP3
    u2022      Windows Office 2000 SR1
    u2022      Windows Office 2003
    u2022      Windows Office 2003 SP1
    u2022      Windows Office 2003 SP2
    u2022      Windows Office XP
    u2022      Windows Office XP SP1
    u2022      Windows Office XP SP2
    u2022      Windows Office XP SP3
    u2022      Windows Office 2007*

    3. Ensure that the server and client should be on same patch levels.
    4. Might be there is some formatting changes which are not compatible with the excel DAO properties could you please test the following solution.
    1. Apply standard styles in the report and save it as excel.
    2. Reset the report from slice and dice panel and try to save it as excel.
    3. Rebuild the data cube by editing the data providers in the report.
    4. Test the issue by deleting the tabs one by one in the report and saving it as excel.

    I just want to clarify the situation that you are referring to...  Are you saying that when you log into the Infoview application and view a report, then click the "Export this report" button from the viewer.  Then it gives you all of the various "File Formats" that you can export to.  In that situation, you wish to only see PDF and Excel as options.
    If that is the situation that you are referring to, then there is no documented or supported way to remove the "File Formats" that can be exported to from the Crystal Reports viewer.  The Infoview application is a "black box" that is provided as-is by SAP BusinessObjects for customers to make use of.  For that reason, there is no documented way to make changes to it.
    Regards.

  • Authenticate User Exception when using XMS/WebService SMS send API

    I created a MultiChannel Messaging application and set user name/password for sending SMS but got the authenticateUser() Push Exception. I used the setAccount() method of generated MultiChannelMessenger class.
    Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

    The problem is: i don't know how to check for the HTTP-Header, because
    my call
    <i>SOAPOutPayload = accessor.call(payload);</i>
    throws the mentioned exception, even though it works behind the scene.
    Is it possible to check for the HTTP-Response-Code in the catch block?
    We want to avoid an synchronous scenario because we don't need the result and the WebService is rather slow.

  • Soundtrack Pro 2.0.2-Uncaught exception when exporting video

    I'm running STP2.0.2 on Leopard 10.5.6, 8core 2.8 Mac Pro ... and I just recently got it running
    Every time I try to export video from STP2 using Compressor (cause thats the only option I think) I'm getting an error "Uncaught Exception"
    I've checked the permissions on destination folder and Compressor alone works perfectly.
    ... help

    Hi, sorry to disappoint you but i don't know the answer.
    I just wanted to ask roughly how you combine video and audio in Compressor.
    I finished a project in Soundtrack Pro, but then found out there's no way to bounce it as a video file?
    Ideas?
    Thanks

  • When exporting videos from fcpx, videos get filled with interlacing issues. using Canon HF G10, no issues while in FCPX, except when exported.

    I don't understand why this is happening? It doesn't happen all the time, only with some videos. Haven't changed my settings or anything. Exporting in H.264.

    This is the issue. Obviously this picture makes it look a little more dramatic but that's what it looks like when moving frame by frame. I was told by someone that this is called interlacing, but they may be wrong and I may be in the complete wrong discussion. But if they're correct, then no, I do not want it to be interlaced. These are my exporting properties:

  • Exception when remotely executing Export-CsArchivingData cmdlet from C# managed code

    Hi,
    Hopefully this is the right forum.
    The issue is specifically about remotely executing Export-CsArchivingData cmdlet from C# managed code.
    I use RunspacePool to connect to remote Lync server as described here:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee706598(v=vs.85).aspx
    I can connect to remote Lync server and execute many Lync cmdlets (e.g. Get-CsUser, Get-CsSite, Get-CsPool, etc) and get the results just fine.
    However, when it tries to execute Export-CsArchivingData cmdlet remotely, it throws the following exception:
    System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> System.Management.Automation.RemoteException: The term 'Export-CsArchivingData' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the
    name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.
       at System.Management.Automation.Runspaces.AsyncResult.EndInvoke()
       at System.Management.Automation.PowerShell.EndInvoke(IAsyncResult asyncResult)
    Additional info:
    1. I created a custom RBAC role and added Export-CsArchivingData to it. Then, assign this new role to the account that runs the application.
    2. Using regular powershell (not Lync powershell) from the machine (that I run my app from) with Lync admin tool installed and ran with the account that has the custom RBAC role assigned, I can connect to remote Lync server and execute Export-CsArchivingData
    just fine.
    3. Execute the app using the same above account (that has custom RBAC role) on two machines (one with Lync admin tool installed, one without) and connect to remote Lync server.
       Same behavior on both machine, I got the above the exception when executing Export-CsArchivingData and no problem when executing other Lync cmdlets mentioned above.
       Yes, even from a machine without Lync admin tool installed, I can execute other Lync cmdlets mentioned above.
    At this point, I am not sure why I get the above exception when Export-CsArchivingData is executed from my app while I can connect to remote Lync server and call Export-CsArchivingData just fine via regular Powershell, both on the same machine.
    Note: I do not call Import-Module Lync in C# managed code since it is not necessary so far for executing other Lync cmdlets remotely.
    Any idea on what to look for?
    Thanks in advance.

    I would recommend you call Import-Module Lync first, the command is not recognized.

  • Poor image quality when exporting a report to Word

    Hi,
    We are developing an application where users can download exported Word 2003 or PDF documents generated by Crystal Reports. The problem is that when the format type in the export options is set to Word for Windows the quality of the images in the document degrades immensely. The PDF images are looking fine though.
    Literally, the only difference between the two exports is that only one of these lines executes depending on what the user selects when exporting the report.
    crxReport.ExportOptions.FormatType = CRAXDRT.CRExportFormatType.crEFTPortableDocFormat;
    crxReport.ExportOptions.FormatType = CRAXDRT.CRExportFormatType.crEFTWordForWindows;
    I am using Crystal Reports 10.0. Upgrading to Service Pack 6 did not seem to solve the problem. This service pack resolves a similar problem that occurs with PDFs but it's Word documents we're having trouble with. The project we are working on is a .NET 1.1 project and it is hosted in a machine running Windows 2003 Standard Edition with Service Pack 2.
    Any help is greatly appreciated

    Other than that, as Ido recommended, despite the difficulties of the number of parameters, see if exporting from the CR designer is any different. If it is not, we're fighting a lost battle. Alternatively, you could create a new report in the CR designer, no database connection needed. Insert an image, export.

    Can there be any external hard disks - if so How is/are it/they formatted ? Must be Mac OS Extended (hfs) if used for Video.
    UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange - works for most but not for VIDEO.
    What this means in Your situation is above me.
    • free space on internal boot hard disk? How much ?
    Video codec
    • streamingDV, AIC etc. (not .avi, .mp4, .m4v, .wmv etc as they are containers not codecs)
    Pictures
    • in what format ? .jpg, .bmp, .tif, else ?
    Audio
    • from where/what format ? iTunes, .avi, .mp3, .aiff, else ?
    The "com.apple.iMovie.plist" file
    Many users has not observed that there are TWO libraries.
    • Library - at root level
    • Library - in user/account folder - THIS IS THE ONE to look into
    from Luke Burns
    I fixed the problem.. but it was very, very strange. I had a very long section for credits and set the line spacing to 1.0.. for some reason this caused it. I removed it, and it worked fine. I put it back, and I couldn't preview or play the video.
    I don't know why that could cause that big of a problem, but it did..

    You need more free space on your hard drive.

    After phone support from apple I ended up creating a new project and adding all 117 clips back in individually till I found out what clips flagged and would not allow me to export. I had 3 I deleted and replaced and everything works now 1hr after tedious work....
    Where do Your material come from
    • Camera
    • External hard disk
    • USB-memory
    And all are connected so that iMovie can find it ?

    It is not possible to perform it from a client. Is this correct? The datapump task itself can be started from a client, but - you are right - datapump is server-based. Especially that refers to the dumpfile location, which has to be defined as DIRECTORY on the server:

  • Error when exporting reports using MAPI

    We created a .NET class that wraps CR 2010 .NET Crystal Reports functions and made it COM visible. This class is used to create a COM object in a js script which in turn used to export reports to a PDF file with the destination MAPI.
    It exports reports just fine without any errors however if prior to instantiation the exporting class we instantiate a class that has nothing to do with the Crystal Reports functions, our exporting object throws u201CExternal component has thrown an exception.u201D error when exporting. It appears that it has something to do with the SideBySide feature. I was wondering if somebody knows what causes this and if there is a way to fix this problem.
    Thanks for your help!

  • Indesign Crashes when exporting PDF

    Hi,
    We are experiencing an issue when exporting an .indd file as .pdf. The process gets as far as a certain page (8 out of 13) and then crashes when reading a pdf image from that page. It does one of two things - it crashes or displays an 'out of memory' message. We had task manager running alongside the program to check memory usage and there are no major spikes during the export process (it doesn't even hit 80%)
    - We can export every other page in the document except this one
    - The export works without marks & bleeds enabled (not really sure of the terminology so I do apologise)
    The document is going off to print so the pdf image has to be of high resolution. Does anyone have any ideas as to how we can get around this issue?
    The INdesign package is CS4 (32bit) and the pc has 4GB of RAM
    Any assistance would be much appreciated

    Friends I'm reading all the posts, but I have the same problem. My Indesign crashes exporting a document of 60 pages into pdf.
    Can anybody help me please? The next week I have to deliver the project. Thank you!
